[Resolved]  BDA — Construction of flyover - dangerous

Dear BDA Commissioner,

BDA (Bangalore Development Authority ) is a partner in construction of flyover at Agara Junction Sarjapura Road. It is very surprising that the flyover work is continuing without any provision for bypass road. The bypass road is dug up but is not ready. Commuters face a very difficult time to drive from this road. There is frequent roadblocks. Already many accidents have taken place due to this confusion. At least 3 people have died in multiple accidents.

Firstly please stop the work and provide an alternate road. Secondly please put up danger signboards and diversion boards and sidewalls. The construction site is very dangerous with dug up pits, protruding steel rods, slippery mud and no proper lighting. Thirdly please provide for pedestrian crossing. When even grown up men like me cannot cross the road I wonder how the children and the aged are crossing. There have been a few pedestrian accidents also. Fourthly the service road has been deeply excavated the people living in these houses cannot even step out of their houses. The rains have started and very soon the pits will be filled with water, making it dangerous for people and children. Either complete that part soon or postpone it until the point where you need it urgently.

It is very surprising that although BDA is involved in the construction of this flyover, there are so many non-compliances. Is the BDA not taking responsibility for these issues. I hope the BDA is there to serve the people and not there to put people into trouble. If these issues are not taken up urgently then the common man will have to forcibly stop the construction of the flyover.

" Let us all protest until the BDA takes action "
