[Resolved]  BIG TV — Complaint against BIG TV

I bought Big TV near the Perambur loco station, Chennai on 01-Sept-2008. It was from a marketing gimmick that I felt for. I paid on the spot in hot cash and I was told by one Mr. Shakthi (Sales Person) ([protected]) that the service will be installed and activated within 4 hours. I was been told to get a workorder number by giving the smart card number to the customer Service(!!!). I was told that in 48 hours my channels will show up in my Tv after I have recharged. I recharged immediately and confirmed with the customer Service(!!!) that my recharge was successful. I called the customer Service(!!!) on their toll free number after 72 hours that I haven't got anything exept the blue screen with the channel list and when clicked on any channel it throws a message to subscribe.

I called the person who installed this TV name unknown ([protected]) and he gave me 4 other numbers to call and check. ([protected], [protected], [protected] and[protected].

Later I called Shakthi (Sales Person) ([protected]) and got the office number[protected] and I talked to them and he said it will be solved in 3 hours. Later I got a call from[protected] and was told that its not their problem and was asked to contact customer care.

I again called up customer care and they gave me a list of complaint numbers every time I called them that I lost track of all the numbers[protected], 75496209, 75945671...)> Evry time there will be this sterio type reply of "Will be resolved in 48 hours and again a new complaint number. Lastly I was told that my smart card was deactivated for UNKNOWN reasons. After a good negotiation of more then 45 minutes, I got the IRRESPONSIBE manager name (Mr. Javed) not sure if that's a real one or a phoney????.

This is the successful 16th day without any success. I am really cursing myself to choose this reliance Big TV as it had been the most horrendous experience one could ever get.

I filed a complaint to [protected]@bigtv.co.in, [protected]@core.nic.in, [protected]@del2.vsnl.net.in,
[protected]@trai.gov.in.

I am really fed up to the core that I contacted core. If you could help in any ways of getting me this cursed vodoo box installed or to get back my swindled money along with a compensation for all the pain thta I have to go through. My contact information will be best through email as I read emails every day atleast 10 times.

Big TV cc — pulling out money to change the address

This is Mr Pavan, a customer of Reliance Big TV Service , I purchased it in October 2010 in Hyderabad but got Relocated to Bangalore on November.....we called up the Customer service in hyderabad twice but due to a lengthy process and a shortage of time we got it uninstalled through a franchaise...


Again in Bangalore we contacted the customer support people and we waited for almost a week for the technical guy to come and install it but did not got any response from you.... finally we installed it through a franchise and paid then 500/- in December 2nd week.


Now 4 days back we got some technical problem and contacted the customer service, we contacted around 7 times in 4 days and finally ms Rubina from retention team concluded that we ll not be charged for the change in address ie on 28th april 2011, She has suggested to recharge and recomplain.... she also mentioned that we ll not be charged any amount for the change in address.

Now on 30th , we recharged and contacted the customer service ,but the customer service persons are having the same discussion which we had 4 days back and added to that they have disconnected the call twice.
my name is vishnu. from Ernakulam.There is a problem with BIG TV. It does not work during even SMALL rain. I understand that DTH has a problem with rain. But BIG has problem with SMALL rain too. I have both SUN & BIG DTH at home. While SUN continues to perform under rain, BIG stops.
please give me a solution for this...

I had contacted customer care every day they just told we forward your compliant but still no body come to solve the problem. Kindly take a legal action against Big tv.

BIG TV — Charging Fee for Visit on complaint

My BIG TV code [protected], the connection was lost due to rains. when lodged a complaint, Customer service insisted to recharge the account with Rs.175/- just for paying a visit. but as per the service conditions, if any damage happens then the customer is liable to pay for the damages but here is a case where there is satellite connection loss due to heavy rains,it only needs to correct the certain wave lenght/ frequency or direction & there is no damage in any of the instruments. even if any damage occurs we are ready to pay for the damages. but for just to check the frequency & connect to satellite link whether payment of fee is required/warranted..?

BIG TV — BIG TV NOT WORKING PROPERLY

I am BIG TV customer from last 2 years am facing the problem from since morning 27th today if i called the customer every time buzzzyyy. my card no is[protected]. kindly findout the problem and do the needfull. if it is not rectify the problem i will disconnect the service if its lose for me also am not bother.

since 15 days my account is not working. i got it recharged with Rs 1000/- in end of july and it was valid for one year but for some reason it is not working.

I m a consumer of Reliance Big TV since 3 years, with no[protected].My address is House no-81, Siddharthanagar Colony, Taramandal Road, gorakhpur(UP), India.On 12/1/2012, my Big TV showed an error 400-signal lost.I rang your toll free number and found Mr Chintamani on line and explained him the matter.He heard the problem, then verified my address and told service Engineer had to visit my address to solve the issue.In my address verification the PIN did not match for which Mr Chintamani declared that i had to pay Rs 350 for correction of record.
This demand by your Big TV representative is deplorable.I remind you that my address was correct and I still live in this place only the PIN did not match. I request Big TV management to intervene in the matter as think this is a clear case of harassment to the costumer.

Big TV' services are worst.My TV is off till 1 week and I have also complained to the customer care but no response was given back to me.They have said that their executive will reach me within 48 hours but no action was taken from their side.I recommend all of you not to choose Big TV as your cable operator its services are as bad as not to be said.
