[Resolved]  BIG TV — Complaint against BIG TV

I bought Big TV near the Perambur loco station, Chennai on 01-Sept-2008. It was from a marketing gimmick that I felt for. I paid on the spot in hot cash and I was told by one Mr. Shakthi (Sales Person) ([protected]) that the service will be installed and activated within 4 hours. I was been told to get a workorder number by giving the smart card number to the customer Service(!!!). I was told that in 48 hours my channels will show up in my Tv after I have recharged. I recharged immediately and confirmed with the customer Service(!!!) that my recharge was successful. I called the customer Service(!!!) on their toll free number after 72 hours that I haven't got anything exept the blue screen with the channel list and when clicked on any channel it throws a message to subscribe.

I called the person who installed this TV name unknown ([protected]) and he gave me 4 other numbers to call and check. ([protected], [protected], [protected] and[protected].

Later I called Shakthi (Sales Person) ([protected]) and got the office number[protected] and I talked to them and he said it will be solved in 3 hours. Later I got a call from[protected] and was told that its not their problem and was asked to contact customer care.

I again called up customer care and they gave me a list of complaint numbers every time I called them that I lost track of all the numbers[protected], 75496209, 75945671...)> Evry time there will be this sterio type reply of "Will be resolved in 48 hours and again a new complaint number. Lastly I was told that my smart card was deactivated for UNKNOWN reasons. After a good negotiation of more then 45 minutes, I got the IRRESPONSIBE manager name (Mr. Javed) not sure if that's a real one or a phoney????.

This is the successful 16th day without any success. I am really cursing myself to choose this reliance Big TV as it had been the most horrendous experience one could ever get.

I filed a complaint to [protected]@bigtv.co.in, [protected]@core.nic.in, [protected]@del2.vsnl.net.in,
[protected]@trai.gov.in.

I am really fed up to the core that I contacted core. If you could help in any ways of getting me this cursed vodoo box installed or to get back my swindled money along with a compensation for all the pain thta I have to go through. My contact information will be best through email as I read emails every day atleast 10 times.

BIG TV — Set top Box

There months before i bought a BIG tv DTH. The setup-box is very slow and remote also very hard to operate.
Some time its automatically went to standby mode or preview channel and it takes more time to change channel form one to another. Some time box is hanged

Issue: i have Requested for big TV installation (BIG TV Req. NO[protected]on 9th of Aug an almost 4 days passed there is no response. I have called up around 50 times but still the same Reply (technician will cal u soon). Even they deducted amount of 4 days to my big TV a/c as I have not even watch the TV and delay is from BIG TV end. So BIG TV is responsible for that


But till date there is no response from Big TV.
Recharge vouchers are not available. my contact number is [protected]

I have already passed 05 days from complained date (complain no.[protected] on 01/10/2010) and I sent e-mail to you one daty before but till date no any service person/ engineer came to my home for corrective action at bigtv cable .Due to which I have lost money @Rs. 7/- per day plus my telephonic compained ( because I have no reliance sim for toll free)

you are also lost money because I am unable to recharge the bigtv which was expired on or before 02 days.Hence, you are unable to provide quick service to us which is most objectionable to your all customer including me regarding customer satisfactions .

BIG TV is one of the most worst channel and one of the worst customer care service they have. They are charging more for each complaint and taking more time for solve the problem every time.

BIG TV — BIG TV PATHETIC SERVICE-PLS DON'T BUY

This is to inform you that I have already discontinued the BIG TV service due pathetic service provided by the company.

I had registered a complaint on 29th of Nov-10 and there was no response from BIG TV side even after a week. I must have made at least 10 calls to the customer care asking for a service person to visit my place. Neither I got a proper reply from them nor could they give contact details of ISP. Even they have not given the contact details of the BIG TV employee of Karnataka region. The response of their customer care executives is pathetic. They are irresponsible and don’t know how to communicate. Every time when I call them they put me in hold for more than 10 mnts and finally disconnect without any notice. This is not my first time experience with BIG TV. I had very bad experiences earlier too. I anticipated they will improve, but now they have proved once again that they will not change and they don’t want to change.

I have never experienced such a worst service in my life. It was never expected from a company of Reliance repute. I had a good impression about the company, but now I know this company has got the worst service network. One thing I could learn from my experience that this company is not having any system and they don’t have any control over their ISP. Their employees don’t have any direction how to handle customer. Even the ISP person used to curse ther company. In my life I will never ever recommend BIG TV service from this company to anybody known to me. They had given me that much mental torture. Tese people are good only in taking money from the customer and never bothered to give a good service.

I strongly suggest please dont take or recommend BIG TV service to any body.If you do so you are inviting troubles and you will never have peace of mind and you will be forced to shift to another service.

BIG TV — CHEATED ON RECHARGE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Dear Sir/All,
Our country is proud of Mr.Dhirubhai Ambani and his contribution to the country.
His Elder son Mr.Mukesh is following suit. But The company owned by Mr.Anil BIG TV DTH Service has duped me on my subscription money. I had subscribed for the BIG TV and taken a recharge for it. I got an offer from the BIG TV retailer telling me that if you subscribe the service for 10 months you get 2 months free subscription.
I made a payment of Rs 2500/= ( Rs 250 pm) on 26th feb 2010. i was promised un interupted service till 26th feb 2011. I am surprised that they have sent me a SMS message to recharge or face termination of service at the 10 th month only.On net I have found 100s of similar complaint, So I might not get my 2 month subscription as promised but want to suggest that the company and its owner some good advise. Begging is better honoued than cheating atleast you dont hurt people that way. Also its a better virtue of the two for someone who has such a legacy given by the father.

BIG TV — chanel 705 not visible

channel no.705 vh1 not working from past 1month...called the customer care still did not make any improvement...the set top box works really slow...asks everyday to refresh...please look into the matter and respond immediately.
I am also facing similar problem since last one week. I paid Rs 1200/- to Big TV a/c and they say money did not reach to them & stopped the service. I called several times to customer care & sent several mails also, every time got assurance that your problem will be resolved soon. but they are not doing anything. Customer care asked the copy of recharge receipt, I sent copy of recharge receipt but no action. Customer care tel nos. given also not working. Service is not customer friendly at all. It is very poor service. Top management must act to improve the service.

purchase kit welcome kit no [protected] work order[protected] big tv get started kit sku dw[protected]/atter that company people made connecion and asking for 500/ recharge other wise we remove connection tat type of threat given .
what is a trust of your associates ? who is responsible for 690/ paid for connection? how you are allowing person to sell product like this type of propoganda?
sir please see that as per promise start connection by waving installation charge and free two month free connection or tell him to pay 690/ and take kit back . please reply for action other wise we take to cumplaint to consumer court

BIG TV — not able to get money back after cancellation of big tv

we are not able to get our money back after cancelation of bigtv dth service from three months .no steps are taken to give our money back from 3 months. and the concerned authority mr .shanmukam (manager -[protected]) is not responding for the complaint and telling that he will call tommorow but not responding.

reliance digital tv(DTH) — poor service after activation yet to wait for proper installation

Hi

Here another suffering faced by the india's largest company. I had bought an ONIDA Color TV with this I got an offer Reliance Digital tv (DTH) free.I got one scratch card for the activation process.Only the condition is I have to pay the installation charge Rs. 399/- to the company.On 29th march I called up to customer care of the reliance Digital TV & they created a request for activation & given us a request no [protected]. though the offer is valid for 31st march. On 31th march one executive came for installation request me that today is last & he having a lot of customer in queue so today I am unable to made a complete installation I just activate the machine so you can avail the offer & he assured me that I will come next day & install the complete one. I consider his request & let him go but since that day I am waiting for him. I forget his name but I have his no that is [protected].

Again this a pathetic services by the company people i don't know when i will get installed my DTH connection.
