[Resolved]  BIG TV — Complaint against BIG TV

I bought Big TV near the Perambur loco station, Chennai on 01-Sept-2008. It was from a marketing gimmick that I felt for. I paid on the spot in hot cash and I was told by one Mr. Shakthi (Sales Person) ([protected]) that the service will be installed and activated within 4 hours. I was been told to get a workorder number by giving the smart card number to the customer Service(!!!). I was told that in 48 hours my channels will show up in my Tv after I have recharged. I recharged immediately and confirmed with the customer Service(!!!) that my recharge was successful. I called the customer Service(!!!) on their toll free number after 72 hours that I haven't got anything exept the blue screen with the channel list and when clicked on any channel it throws a message to subscribe.

I called the person who installed this TV name unknown ([protected]) and he gave me 4 other numbers to call and check. ([protected], [protected], [protected] and[protected].

Later I called Shakthi (Sales Person) ([protected]) and got the office number[protected] and I talked to them and he said it will be solved in 3 hours. Later I got a call from[protected] and was told that its not their problem and was asked to contact customer care.

I again called up customer care and they gave me a list of complaint numbers every time I called them that I lost track of all the numbers[protected], 75496209, 75945671...)> Evry time there will be this sterio type reply of "Will be resolved in 48 hours and again a new complaint number. Lastly I was told that my smart card was deactivated for UNKNOWN reasons. After a good negotiation of more then 45 minutes, I got the IRRESPONSIBE manager name (Mr. Javed) not sure if that's a real one or a phoney????.

This is the successful 16th day without any success. I am really cursing myself to choose this reliance Big TV as it had been the most horrendous experience one could ever get.

I filed a complaint to [protected]@bigtv.co.in, [protected]@core.nic.in, [protected]@del2.vsnl.net.in,
[protected]@trai.gov.in.

I am really fed up to the core that I contacted core. If you could help in any ways of getting me this cursed vodoo box installed or to get back my swindled money along with a compensation for all the pain thta I have to go through. My contact information will be best through email as I read emails every day atleast 10 times.

There is the toll free no[protected] for any enquiry. But it will be always busy. Very difficult to get top up cards. Eevnthough money is transferred as subscription, we have to call[protected], but no response from that side. Always engage. We were deceived by the Company.

I am BigTv Subscriber smart card no.[protected].I logged the complain on 15.09.2009 for relocation and customer care told me to provide you service within 24hrs service yet to be provided .Nobody contact me or came for the relocation and I paid relocation charges Rs.350 as per customer care. BigTv service is very poor and no response is taken by customer care.I would like to suggest the people, do not purchase BigTv dustbin .No service no response is provided by bigtv.I am completly eritted with frustred with this product due to worse service

Hello sir , mai big tv ki service se khush nahi hun.sabse bekar baat ye hai ki big tv mai jo v paks hai uska tax alag se dena pad raha hai aur jo paks hai unme south indian channels jayada dikhaye ja rahe hai.big tv wale jabardasti loot rahe hai.
Kripya muje batayen ki mai kya karu is big tv ka.
Very poor customer service. I have been trying to contact them today Sep 29 since 9am in the morning and it is 9pm in the evening and still have not been connected. Their tollfree number is not connecting for the last 12 hours. I called the STD number in Mumbai twice but was on hold for 15 mins, as the customer service representatives are busy. I have spent 30 mins on STD charges but still not able to get thru. Pathetic customer service. I'm calling again but this time to disconnect and move on to SUN Direct or Airtel

Myself Mrs. Kiran Tandon (reliance big tv subscriber id[protected] had taken DTH connection on 1st may,2009 and the company has a provison that they will give you 1 year free service.
During this period our setbtbox had changed twice but the problem remained as it is .
Again from 21st Sept. our set box had damaged. But neither their customer care is listening nor their regional officer is listening.
But our money is deduted on the daily basis
countless phone calls and mails i had sent but no respose is there.
Another thing, they have provide a toll free number but we can call it by reliance mobile
KINDLY INQUIRE THE MATTER AND TAKE THE SUITABLE ACTION AGAINST THEM

BIG TV — aginst relocation services

I am Big Tv customer Id[protected] since 2008. I relocated from Jharkhand to Kolkata,they are taken service charges for relocation but he did not provide services.In providing service they taken maximum 24 hours but today more than 20days happens i could not receive the service.When i called up in there customer care they replying wait for anthor 24 hours we will providing the services.What legal i can take aginst them suggest me?

BIG TV — Pathetic Service executives and Cheats people on monthly charges

I just completed 1 year using BIG TV and the experience is pathetic. Now the experience is pathetic even after the picture and sound are good. Just because of thier Customer service and their wierd / confusing / contradictory explanation of things.

You will go mad if you ever want to change any package or deactivate any pacakage. It will be frustrating more because thier service executives does not know how to speak. you

So what's bad -

1. Confusiing pacakage settings
2. They will keep on charging you more with old pacakages even they does not exist in present days
3. Pathetic Customer Service.
4. Signals will be lost even on slightest of rains.

What's good -
1. Picture and Sound.
