Delhi Jal Board Complaints & Reviews

I am the resident of Gyan park area in Krishan Nagar / East Delhi. We are getting sewage water as drinking water which we cant drink Whatever water has been supplied by DJB is highly contaminated, smelly and has visible impurities. This water is not even fit for washing/cleaning purpose not to say of drinking. Due to this the locality is facing a acute shortage of portable water. . Despite our repeated complaints to Delhi Jal Board the problem is still remained unsolved. We want a permanent solution to this problem as our families are now getting affected and it is leading to diseases.

There is very likelihood that the residents of this locality develop water borne diseases like diarrhea, jaundice etc. unless immediate remedial measures are taken by the Government.

I have tried to contact the concerned DJB officials through their contact nos. provided in DJB website but i have not been able to contact any of the concerned authorities.

Kindly help in resolving the problem

hello i am living in uttam nagar indra park rz b 55/56 near pali factory new delhi. from last 1 month the water is not cuming properly and if it comes then the water is dirty like garbage water .We all are facing big problem due to this water .So plz do somethinsg for this problem as soon as possible.

Dear Sir,
We are residing in the Nai wala Area, Hardhyan Singh road of Karol Bagh, wherein we are receving very dirty water (Sewerage water) containing germs and worms in the municipal water supply for the last one week.

We are not able to drink, wash our clothes, take bath or use the same for any of the domestic purposes.

There is further fear that this dirty supply of water may create health problems for us and may make us sick/ill.

You are requested to kindly rectify the same.

There is a Vacant house opposite my house.Litres and Litres of water overflows everyday in the evening.

A huge amount of water iss getting wasted from the Anand Vihar Storage Tanker everyday.

Please look into this matter at the earliest.

Dear Sir/madam,
We are the residents of Rama Park (A-Block), Najafgarh, Uttam Nagar would like to draw your attention towards the smelly, dirty water which is not even suitable for washing. It smells like it is directly coming from drains. The other thing which is horrific is that the sewer lines laid down by the DJB contractor has dug the sand and collected immediately causing craters in our area. A lady has injured and still DJB is waiting for more. Daily vehicles become submarine. You are requested to do the needful at the earliest.

On 24.03.10 I have placed a written complaint with the Delhi Jal Board, 15/SZ-3 Zone, New Delhi regarding inflated billing on my meter No.317340 in which they have raised a bill of Rs.8,491.00. I have made the payment in expectation that the department will look into the matter and take necessary action. But unfortunately nothing has happend.

Again y'day I have recieved another bill of Rs.1,352.00 towards water charges fm 01.02.10 to 14.05.10 for 89 units. In addition to the water charges they are charging Sever maintenance charges of Rs.291and service tax of Rs.510/-. I fail to understand what rate of service charge they are charging to the consumers.

Surprisingly in my building many consumers are getting negative billed amounts and very few o[censored]s are getting inflated bills.

Will the department realisze the mistake and rectify the issue?

for the last few weeks we are not getting the pure water supply as the cever water is mixed in the other water which we get for drinking, hence we do not have water to drink since few weeks and even we cannot bath with the same water. it smells like hell. kindly look into the problem. whole colony is facing the problem. we expect the fast and response from you

Dear Sir ,

This is bring to the notice to the Govt.Of Delhi.That DJB ( Dooshit Jal Board) is of no use and hence needs to be shut down with immiedaite effect as they are incapable of doing and providing basic amenities to the citizens of Delhi for which they are into the service.

ZE of my Area Mr Kanojia ( [protected]) saying his JE is on leave coz his mother expired and hence services are impacted in the area.

Services will be only resumed when we will join the office.Imagine we are hosting the CWG 2010 but its a ONE MAN SHOW I Hope in the Interest of Country's Pride that none of the officials and their Family fall ill during the Games as It will hamper the continuity.

WE are COMMON STUPID MAN will try to survive with No WATER OR/AND DIRTY/SMELLY water but pray for the SUCCESS OF CWG AS THEY MATTER MORE THAN CITIZENS OF DELHI....

IN the Interest of Delhi Citizens.Please try to adapt in the existing Situations because Scenarios/Conditions are going to worst in the Coming Days...

This connection in my smll office and the consumtion showing in the bill is not posibile at all in a office. I made compalaints many times but no action has been taken by Delhi Jal Board.

This is in regards with my complaint for the excessive water bill of 5,600Rs. I am sure that there is some mishap and thus this could not be the right amount. I am a tenant at the address;

Today my landlord came and handed me a bill for 5,600Rs. for 2 months. I find it unbelievable and I am in no condition to pay this huge amount for water bill.

Please look into the matter and tell me what can be done to resolve this issue.

Hello, water bill for june 2010 for my connection came with much more higher value as it used to be, first the meter reader shown it as lock, and prepared the bill accordingly, second the bill is geneated on avg. kilo litre basis and they are not changing and preparing the bills on the same basis for the last 3 years and even after continuous reminders they are not changing it.

I am a resident of J1/91,Khirki Extn,Malviya Nagar & from last 10 days there is no water supply in the entire lane whereas outside this lane there is enough water supply for the colony but only the colony where my house belongs is suffering a lot due to no water supply. In the past as well there has been several instances where in for 4-5 days there was no water supply in this lane but this time it has been 10 days.This is a residential colony & people are suffering a lot.

Please look into it and do the needful.

For the past 8 days we are not getting any water and the Delhi Jal board people are saying that your connection is now will not work as the water now be supplied to dwarka from the same connection.

We have not been informed of any such thing and now how to overcome this problem.nobody is answering us.

We had given a request to Delhi Jal Board,Lajpat nagar approx 2 years back to change the consumer name on our water connection bill but after chasing them for continous 2 year they have asked us to submit a request in different format and with affidavit and some other documents along with fees also, which was also done approx 6 months back but as a result they have changed the consumer name on our neighbours water bill not on ours and this has been informed to department at the same time also. Please look into this and get this sorted out as we are sufferring a lot due to this

In mahavir enclave -1, bengali colony, most of the people access unathorised connection from delhi jal board line , which is passes from main palam dabri road.

hopeless & Thankful with delhi jal board service
we are living at tughlakabad extension. here we always suffer. now a days delhi jal board service is very ruthless even in summer as well as winter. there is no change with the change of climate.
speciall at the gali no. 17 (patli gali) there the water come every after 3-4days only for 8-10 minutes and also not any fixed time. and we people are waiting for the whole days sometimes we wake up before 5.a.m just for the govt. water which is not sufficient for a small family.

if possible pls try to solve the problems. we very thankful to delhi jal board great service

This is to bring to the notice of the higher officials and beaurocrats of Delhi that there is very poor condtion of water supply in GTB Enclave. Its been over a month that water supply has been so irregular and insufficient. we are resident of Pocket-F GTB Enclave. We stay at 3rd floor and it is becoming so difficult to survive without water. Everyday we have to collect water from ground floor flats. The pressure is so low that it doesnt reach 3rd floor. pls help and try to regulate the supply and pressure and water. Even if water comes for 2 hrs in the morning and 2 hrs in the evening with full pressure we would be able to store and carry out daily chores but now-a-days it doesnt come even for an hour. Please take action and restore the wter supply.

I am one of the resident of Ram Nagar which comes under the Shahdara area. Our area is suffering from highly dirty and smelly water just like sever water from 15-20 days which is not even suitable for washing and cleaning purpose, no one can even think of drinking it. It smells like it comes from Sever line. Please help us in this matter since it becoming a serious issue and already made some persons hospitalised.
We hope that our government will take some strict action in this matter.

We, the Residents, of Vijay Block, Laxmi Nagar area draw your kind attention that the Delhi Jai Board/East Zone has been supplying contaminated and filthy water through public taps in this locality for the last one month. It is worth mentioning that the water is contaminated with sewage water containing yellowish color with foul smell and suspended dirty particles. Thus, the water supply of this locality is considered not fit for drinking the water by the Residents which is in contravention to safety guidelines of drinking water as formulated by Quality Council of India {QCL}
Moreover, it is fundamental right to access the drinking water for life and health of public by Civic Authorities. As a result of this, a great tension have been prevailed amongst the Residents due to danger to out break of water borne diseases and skin disorders like diarrhea, dysentery ,gastrotrich & skin allergy.
The matter has been moved to the notice of Delhi Jal Board by the Residents from time to time but no any fruitful action seems to be taken by the concerned authorities.
We, the Residents, humbly, request your good self to look into this issue on ‘Top Priority Basis’ and remedial steps be taken to provide drinkable water urgently to the Residents.
