Dell — Delay in the order

This complaint has been made after the unresponsiveness of the Dell towards the order placed on 12-May-2010 . On 12-May-2010 an order was placed for a Dell studio XPS16 configured with a 128 gb solid state hard drive . Their scheduled delivery date was set to 24-May-2010 which has been extended to 3-june-2010 without any prior notice . This has delayed my Google Summer of Code project which was supposed to be started on 24-may-2010 till the time I receive my laptop .

Dell customer care seems to have a very little knowledge who couldn't give a valid answer to the part that was causing this delay . A prior complaint was made to Dell with the CASE-ID 2948564 on May-24-2010 and till now haven't been contacted by any Dell representative while they were supposed to do so within one working day .

With this complaint I expect these people to compensate for the losses due to their delays with return of 10% of the total amount payed to the Dell .

I ordered the same machine (Dell XPS 16 - i7 version) with a guaranteed latest delivery date of May-24-2010. Upon not receiving the order, the sales manager who took the order says that he has he cannot control the manufacturing process or have a say on it. The whole tone of conversation changed after having received the payments- I suggest that you look at working with local dealers to make the payment to Dell only after the order is shipped. Dell Sales will not confirm your order or give you any response after you pay- the only document they sent is a quotation before payment.
As a matter of fact, they are still unable to provide a confirmed delivery date.
The losses due to the delay are much higher on my end and all that Dell says is that i should mail them as to why i need my order dispatched sooner - surprising as they have delayed the order. This after multiple emails sent from a mobile device.
I have also raised a complaint on the site Case ID: 2967357 - hopefully its not another number for them.
I expect to cancel my order if I do not receive the order is a couple of days.
I am loosing out on delivery dates of projects with very high net-worth.

I Sarbraj singh has a dell laptop no 1545 and Tag no F83M4BS has given it to the company for repacement and the complaint no is 4249268

My laptop was not working and itsbeen 3 month swice i have made a complaint to replace the laptop which is in the warrenty period. its been one month that the company employee has taken my laptop to do do the need full which is under warrenty. even the toll free no is not responding I tried approximately 18 times.
they said you laptop will be replaced within one month and 3 month have passed.please give me the full detail and status of my laptop and take some straight action alse i will be forced to file a case in the consumer court.please do the needfull as soon as possible

Dear Sir,

I have deposited money amounting Rs. 4800 for Battery of Inspiron 1525 on 22 January 2011 in Vidur & Co. HDFC Bank account and have not got the battery till date today. I donot know why Dell is doing harrassment with its customers.

My Service Tag no. is JNFL1BS and I have e-mailed many times to Dell's representatives Mr. R Sinha, Mr. Harpreet but they are not helping me at all and not providing me proper response .

I have send my proper address many time with mobile number but I donot know why anyone not contacts me regarding my querry and the management of Dell is very careless and doesnot give any importance to its customers.

I have got two laptops of Dell and I think I have did a blunder having two laptops of Dell. I must have not purchased it.

You must know one thing that if you disappointment one customer then you loose business of 16 customers but you have plenty of customers so you donot care of them at all.

HI This is Mallesh here, Am the technical assistant for the BIIPL company, we purchased the Dell Latitude D830 laptop before 3 years, but some problem we formatted the system. now after installing the XP service pack 3 ( same which we had before) its installing but the product key is assigned for us with the Microsoft (Original) thats its not accepting. So what i need to do now. Please let me know the details.
