[Resolved]  Godrej Refrigerator — Cooling Problem

I bought my Godrej refreigrator Eon 240 litres around 2 years back. Everything went well for 2 years. Now it started giving me the cooling problem.

I reported the complaint at Godrej Service center in Bangalore on 17th April viz complaint no. [protected]. Service Engineer came to my house and after lots of troubleshooting and 2 hours of diaognising, he came to conclusion that compressor is faulty. He told me that compressor is under warranty and you need to pay for change in Gas and service charge for which net amount apid by you will be around 1300. Service Engineer told me that Compressor does the cooling for 2 mins and stays switched off for 1 mins which is not the normal behaviour. Hence please go ahead with chnaging of the compressor. I said go ahead and repair the refrigerator. There was no response from Godrej and after 3 days I recieved a message that your problem is resolved and complaint is closed.

I raised another complaint to Godrej Service center for not doing cooling by refrigerator on 22nd April with complaint no. [protected]. After calling them several times and persuading them, they came to my house to change the compressor. Compressor was changed on 25th April which took 4 hours with gas filling and everything. Service Engineer demaded Rs.1250 which I paid him. He told that now ice will be made in refrigerator and temprature can go below 0. To my surprise next day I was unable to see any ice in my refrigarator. I called the service Engineer on 26th April and did not got any response from him. Even they went ahead and closed my complaint.

I raised third complaint for my same problem on 25th of April with complaint no. [protected]. Service provider people at HAL didn't bothered to pick up my call even after 100's of trial onto number which I had as [protected] and another mobile number as [protected]. I called them on saturday 28th April aroun 20 times and they informed me that we are busy in meeting and would be sending person in evening. Even in evening they did not responded to my call. After several attempts they told me that executive would be visiting me on Sunday morning. On sunday they did not even attended my call. After so many attempts they said that we'll come on 7th of May. Even 7th May they did not turned out. I called them back on 8th May and did not got any response. On 9th May they said that we'll come but never turned out till evening. On 10th May they came to my house and asked to empty the refrigerator and said that problem is with the freezer. Then he rechecked and after 3 hrs of diagnosis, he came to conclusion that the NEW COMPRESSOR which they replaced is faulty one. I am really fed of these Godrej Service Center people.

Then again they said that we are going to come tomorrow with the new compressor and replace it. I asked then to collect my refrigerator and rectify the problem in it and deliver it back to me. It is none of by business how do you guys fix it.

Now they have to come to my house to collect the refrigerator and I hope they turn out tomorrow. My vegetables and fruits worth Rs.1000 are spoiled due to refrigerator. Even daily the milk is getting spoiled as its Summer in Bangalore. I am really fedup with these Service Center guys.

I would suggest everybody never buy the Godrej refrigerator as they provide the worst service in the world. I am very much disssatified with their service.

I have a fridge 10 yrs old.few days back its cooling was less so i complaint to NEW ALFA ELECTRO SERVICES in chandigarh. their technicians came nd told me that its deforest timer nd biometal is not working properly i told them that im not interested in spending too much money b'coz i want to buy a new one they said after changing these two things d fridge will work. they changed these things nd i paid them Rs1750. next day was cooling was much lesser than before especially freazer part. i again ranged them. the two technicians came nd after opening the fridge they said that now its compresser is not working and it will cost Rs3400 . i told them that im not interested plz take ur new parts and replace d old ones nd give my money back. they refused and said that talk to our seniors i did d same nd talked to Mr Sukhwinder Singh he gave me d offer to pay less for new compresser or they will replace some old compresser nd charge d half price i refused now again nd again they r calling me
im only intrested in getting my money back and will buy a new refrigerator

Dear sir we bought godrej pentacool [full size] refrigerator one and ahalf year back which cost us for fortythousand rupees since then we are facing multiple problems some times its cooling goes off some times the freezer part in this duration of one d a half year twice they had changed the compressor and relay but its of no use then they ask us to buy a stablizer from godrej only we went for that also the cost wasseventeen fifty which worked for 3 weeks and it got spoiled then they replaced it the other one fizz out again in a month time which they have given for repair from last 25 days we are still strugling to get a glass of cold water its such a pity that we are having the latest model huge size refrigerator but of no use now we are calling godrej workers from last 15 teen days but they give us one answer that we are reaching any time but till day we could not see them we also paid extra for annual mentenence till two thousand thirteen we will be highly obliged if you could help us and solved our problem as early as possible godrej staff also say that its korean thats why its giving problem is it our fault in it we went for godrej not for korean godrej

There was cooling problem in my fridge. The first complaint which I made to Godrej Service Centre (Toll Free No. [protected]) was on 5th of Aug .The Godrej technicians came and resolve the issue. He told me that it’ll start cooling within 24 hours. But next day the same problem occurred. Again I gave a call to service center and on 8th Aug technician came and this time the Godrej technicians told that compressor is not working. I’ll be sending other technician to resolve this issue but no one has come till now.

I purchased Godrej Fridge in year 2004. After completion of 5 year warrnty period problem starts. Called service centre, Gentleman so called engineer came and dianoised that problem wiyth GAS leakage pay Rs/- 350 and now other perosn will come for GAS filling. Next day other person came and filled the GAS and charged us Rs/- 1250/ and suggested to place Stablizer for future saftey, which I procured very next day. It was starts working fine but again same problem occured, it not getting cooled. Meas again I have to follow the same circle and Pay quaterly[protected]/- bugs. It is better to get it scraped, it would be cheaper suggestion.

After seeing above complain, Now I feared to raise complain in service centre.

godrej rust free refrigerator — cooling problem

there is a cooling problem in my fridge.god knows what has happened. i thought that godrej is a reputed company but i was wrong.
i have purchased godrej eon refridgerator at least 1 1/2 year ago.Model no.26 C, , , double door.although it is out of gaurantee period, but it is insured, it, s my forth to fifth complain in this whole period that it, s cooling function is not working.while it is on light is on but no noise or activity is hapening.

Sir,
We bought a 342 litre godrej eon refrigerator on[protected]. Though we booked it on[protected]. On[protected] branch manager Ghaziabad called us that he is sending the fridge at around 6.00P.M. But after waiting for that we contacted him at around 8.00 P.M, he told us that there was only one fridge in godown & that too was defective one. We said then why he telephoned us that he is delivering fridge. Suprisingly deliveryman came at around 11.00 P.M. Anyway we took the delivery of the fridge. Now, I have some complaints regarding this:-
1. When there was only one fridge was in godown that too was defective then how fridge was delivered the same day after 3 hours? I am worried that defective piece was supplied to us for the following reasons
a) The compressor was making a strange loud noise though its cooling was fine.
I made a complaint on May'2008 regarding the noise. Technician came & said it is due to its power saving feature. We were not convinced with his answer again we complained in Sep”2008 for the same problem but of no use. Finally we stopped complaining as both o[censored]s are professional C.A. & don’t find much time for these things.
On 1-8-2009 we got very frustrated with godrej customer services as I had to make many complaints for my old fridge & washing machines to get them repaired. We demanded the contact numbers of the GM from customer care call centre. After holding the phone line for almost an hour they gave us the nos. of branch manager ( ghaziabad).We overheard on phone they were talking (at customer care call centre) ' IS KO GM KA PHONE NUMBER CHAHIYE YEH PAGAL HO GAYA HAI' regarding my husband who was on phone line.
We contacted branch manager & demanded the phone numbers of GM. He too was admant in giving the nos. Here also after holding the phone line for another an hour he gave the phone nos. with a heavy mood. Finally we contacted the GM he gave us assurance to resolve the problem.
On 3-8-2009 Senior manager (training) came & inspected the fridge & said that the compressor is defective & needs to be replaced. On 8-8-2009 compressor was changed & now it is working finely.
Now, we wonder it took one & a half year to locate a problem & that too after so much of tension & efforts. We are now worried that when original seal is broken problem of gas leakage occurs off & on this we have observed from our old fridge that’s why we had to buy new fridge .If we have to face the same problem & tension with the new fridge then what’s the use of spending[protected] Rs. When compressor was changed gas seal was broken .Why defective piece was sent to us? We were complaining from day one & the problem was traced only after one & a half year? What will happen when gas leakage problem will occur again & again ?
Please take necessary action to remove this iron wall which restrict us to talk to seniors & replace the fridge.

We are facing many problems from the date we purchased your product and your fellow technician have visit many times and freeze have went your work shop 3 times for repairing & servicing.
problems are as follows-1.ice not become solid, 2.At the time of load shading current evolves out from the freeze, 3.vegetables after 2 days v hv 2 disposed it off, 4.continous leakage of water from the bottom part of the freeze, 5.s/system cpc also.
your technician r unable 2 sort out the problem n dey suggested 2 install a stabiliser even v hv done dat n another thing asking 4 2 gve current frm d main meter area n hw it is possible 2 provide and they said 2 make EMI for 3year dat was als done frm our side.

i m really fed wid ur product n ur mechanics bcz i hv 2 spent lot of money by every month towards servicing n repairing again n again and nw its my beyond of reach 2 spend further more and ur costomer satisfaction policy against ur product gng in vain day by day

i had purchased a 3rd class NEW freez of your compny godrej eon 304 ltr. in the starting waranty month the glass was automatically broken, hendle of your GHATIYA FREEZ was never work froperly it was pull up without any reasion, then one day cooling was gone to your compny back suddenly, then a eng. came and says your warenty was expired and i will charge Rs1100/- to make it alive.
now today again having same problem the cooling was gone to your company. i had faced 7-8 time problem in warenty perion of 1 year now i reliesed that i had made a very big mistake to purchase the same DABBA i never suggest to any one to purchase GODREJ product.

I had made a complaint of my Godrej Refrigerator(Frost free) which was purchased by me on 7th May 2006 from M/S Narang Electronics Vikas Marg Delhi.Subsequently Fridge was not giving satisfactory service and we made a complaint on 1st August 2008 and other four complaints were lodged with your service center under complain no.255323, 102361, 140774, 221355 but till date my problem is not solved inspite of spending around Rs.5000/=.You are requested to look into the matter and replace my Refrigerator at the earliest.

GODREJ REFRIGERATOR GFE25BZ — WATER LEACKAGE PROBLEM...

I had purchased this above model rafrigerator from NANDED ROHAN ELECTRONICS NANDED.
dated 23/06/2009.

But within same day that model was not getting cooled then I had complained about this and he agrees he arisen problem and replace it with new one.

After this on nest day in the morning all floor of kitchen was wet then we check the refrigerator, fro its deep fridger all water was leaked and come out of it and as a result floor was weted.

Then we call its enginner through the delear, he came to home after 2 days and just says it will be ok as he checked all.

But after some days this problem was again arised and we are really now get harrshed because of this.

So please forward this complain to head of its service and solve my compalin else we will reach consumer court after 2 weeks.
I have purchased Godrej Double Door Refrigerator in 2006. This refrigerator gave trouble in compressor failure .
The first complaint which I made to Godrej Service Centre (Toll Free No. [protected])was in the month of august/september.
The tecnisian checked and found compressor failed, next day they took the compressor takes much more time nearly 12 days we asked they compressor non stock.
they bought the refirig by auto person they said u operate m/c after half on hour they went even through its not working again we enquired, technician came and found compressor not working.
Again we made complaint till date they are not attendted the problem even not taken the m/c to service center. kinly take neddful action to salem service center in tamilnadu.

So i am not satisfied with the quality and services and from the company. I am faded up and mentally up set due to such problems. I need complete replacement of the refrigerator.
SIR i had complain about 3--4 months back and the go drej people are constantly trying to make my fridge work but its all in vain my fridge is still not working i bought this fridge on 14/i/07 from the midnight bazaar 410lts. of capacity in the name of godrej&boyce mfg.co.ltd appliances division with 10/ discount it comes to 2272rs now sir we r fadup of calling godrej people thrice they changed the compressor but no change in the fridge status we follow all the given instructions given by godrej but nothing works they asked us to buy a godrej stablizer for 17500 we immediately purchaced that money also got waisted now its two years and eight months s ince they are trying our patience i think its more than enough its my last plea to you to please replace my fridge now we can not take any more trials other wise the conumer forum will be our last resort though we are very hopeful that you will solve our problem at the earliest we are your very old customer we have furniture etc.of your company kindly consider and help us out soon thanks
My refrigerator Model No.GF280Y-260 Lts.P fresh has a cooling problem and still it has not been attended to. I request you to kindly take take a serious note of it. After repeated complaints also it has not been attended to, The complaints No. is 921156 Dt.2/09, 4/09 and 08.09.09, with your call center.
Please treat this as urgent.
I could not agree more that Godrej products are a waste of our hard earned money.
We went for Godrej as we wanted to promote an Indian company over its International compettitors. But I think that was a big mistake as Godrej has given us nothing but Big Holes in our pockets.Both the products the washing machine and the refrigerator have been the worst buys we have ever made. I would want to dissuade anyone who wants to buy any Godrej item. Really it is not worth the headache and the money that goes down in its servicings.
i purchased refrigrator model GPE2205, sr no.[protected]A88 on replacement of my old direct cool of 1980 model which was also in working condition but i misplaced my papers and i approached company at tele no. 66507057, 66507646 and girls Ms sujata and Niki helped me to get back to me at my mob [protected] and informed me that i had purchased this frig on 5.10.2005 and they have promised to sent at my address c-11/9 yamuna vihar the papers within a short time.

i am thankful to the above mentioned girls who helped me as i am a retd person with no one to look after me and they have promised me to get my frig repaired as per the warranty terms soon.

as a qualified person an advocate and ex police officer i am thankful to the company for helping me without my papers and hope to get my frig repaired soon.

Same Complaint is with me. Eversince I purchase, the refrigerator worked well for one year therefafter the timer, Compressor and again timer, relay were replaced. Now the problem is my fridge is continously woking for which the electric comsumtion per month have increase.I am thinking of replacing refrigerator with other brand

Godrej Refrigerator — Excess ice formation

Excess ice is forming in the freezer box only after I cleaned the door rubber gasket. What could be the problem. I need to defrost every two days.

Please advice.
