[Resolved]  Godrej Refrigerator — Cooling Problem

I bought my Godrej refreigrator Eon 240 litres around 2 years back. Everything went well for 2 years. Now it started giving me the cooling problem.

I reported the complaint at Godrej Service center in Bangalore on 17th April viz complaint no. [protected]. Service Engineer came to my house and after lots of troubleshooting and 2 hours of diaognising, he came to conclusion that compressor is faulty. He told me that compressor is under warranty and you need to pay for change in Gas and service charge for which net amount apid by you will be around 1300. Service Engineer told me that Compressor does the cooling for 2 mins and stays switched off for 1 mins which is not the normal behaviour. Hence please go ahead with chnaging of the compressor. I said go ahead and repair the refrigerator. There was no response from Godrej and after 3 days I recieved a message that your problem is resolved and complaint is closed.

I raised another complaint to Godrej Service center for not doing cooling by refrigerator on 22nd April with complaint no. [protected]. After calling them several times and persuading them, they came to my house to change the compressor. Compressor was changed on 25th April which took 4 hours with gas filling and everything. Service Engineer demaded Rs.1250 which I paid him. He told that now ice will be made in refrigerator and temprature can go below 0. To my surprise next day I was unable to see any ice in my refrigarator. I called the service Engineer on 26th April and did not got any response from him. Even they went ahead and closed my complaint.

I raised third complaint for my same problem on 25th of April with complaint no. [protected]. Service provider people at HAL didn't bothered to pick up my call even after 100's of trial onto number which I had as [protected] and another mobile number as [protected]. I called them on saturday 28th April aroun 20 times and they informed me that we are busy in meeting and would be sending person in evening. Even in evening they did not responded to my call. After several attempts they told me that executive would be visiting me on Sunday morning. On sunday they did not even attended my call. After so many attempts they said that we'll come on 7th of May. Even 7th May they did not turned out. I called them back on 8th May and did not got any response. On 9th May they said that we'll come but never turned out till evening. On 10th May they came to my house and asked to empty the refrigerator and said that problem is with the freezer. Then he rechecked and after 3 hrs of diagnosis, he came to conclusion that the NEW COMPRESSOR which they replaced is faulty one. I am really fed of these Godrej Service Center people.

Then again they said that we are going to come tomorrow with the new compressor and replace it. I asked then to collect my refrigerator and rectify the problem in it and deliver it back to me. It is none of by business how do you guys fix it.

Now they have to come to my house to collect the refrigerator and I hope they turn out tomorrow. My vegetables and fruits worth Rs.1000 are spoiled due to refrigerator. Even daily the milk is getting spoiled as its Summer in Bangalore. I am really fedup with these Service Center guys.

I would suggest everybody never buy the Godrej refrigerator as they provide the worst service in the world. I am very much disssatified with their service.

godrej 260 litres frost free fridge — service engineer not called even once

Dear Sir,

I have taken AMC contract for 4 years from 10/03/2006 by paying an amount of Rs 1295/-. I regret to inform you that the Engineer has never called us even once till date. We have called the customer service centre and there is no prpoer response. Since it amounts to deiciency of service i request you to refund the amount or extend the warranty by another wo more years free of cost.

Godrej, Refrigerator — Change of Freezer

Hi, I am Minhaz, i have logged a complain on 17th July, 09 to custoer care of Godrej that my freeze is not working there may be some physical damage in the freezer. They have assured me to attent the complain within 24hrs but till 25th July nobody came to my home. I have called 4 times. This is the worst service in the field of refrigeration.

We have purchased Godrej Freeze Ref. GDC 19D4 of 210 Lts. on 28th Febrebruary, 2009 from Navrang Audito Vedeo Pvt. Ltd, Lakshmi Nagar, Delhi. From the last one month, if we touch the freeze it gives shocks. Though we have also lodged a complaint with the service centre. Till now, nobody has attended to the complaint.

My husband has purchased Refridgerator ason 11th Feb. 2009 from u r Godrej showroom at Dombivali (East).Same time Mr.Tare informed us that one person from u r side visited for the 1st time visit & demonstration purpose in home, but till date no one visited for the same..
Apart from that also we are visited with our busy schedule to u r Godgrej Showroom at Dombivali once again, with the same complaint that till date no on visited in the Month of March 2009. That time Mr. Tare guide us for the same complaint Pls call us our Help Line and Launch the complaint and at the same time they also agree for the same with applogies to us that it happens from they people always.
After that as per Mr. Tare’s request we Called up to u r Call Centre with the same complaint ason 10/03/2009 Service Request No is354536.
But after that also very sorry to say u no one replies to our complaints. Then we are again Launched A fresh Complaint as some noise come out from that instrument . As on 25/04/2009 Service Request No is 400925 after that again we call up for the same request ason 17/05/2009.
After that we are Following up with Mr. Amol Patil as Guided by u r Call Centre.
From Last April 2009 he send the person for the same case to our home, but still date no one visited. At that same time always Mr. Patil has promised us that my executive will come and resolved the same as per that only one time one Engineer visited and told me that u r damaged part [Apron]will be replaced in one weeks time period. But still from that day his one week not yet come……
Again we take up call ason 13/06/09 Sr No : 432807 & 29/06/2009 Sr No: 441465.
Really very sorry to say about the bad service I got from u representative Mr. Patil, as so much call one cm was done take that much of courtesy to call us or follow up for the same case is also not done from his end. All the time we are only person to take follow up for the same and his same answer accepting on the phone.
Contacted from Last 5 months to u r representative Mr. Tare, Mr. Vijay Bonagiri, Mr. Amol Patil & Last Mr. Rajput and u have the all list of my Sr no also.But no one care for the same and organization nothing doing f or the same but give pain to customer. Then why we want to same from u people we don’t want the Fidge o[censored] r company pls take back the same. Otherwise I want to go in the same manner to Consumer Forum only.
Suggest u take the Free Toll Free centre For our location as sorry to say u as one o[censored] r Call Centre representative suggest me to take theTATA Ph to call u as from that no only toll free service is provided.Not from mobile...
Pls took it up with u r Higherups and resolved the same.

I had started facing similar cooling problem and after the single visit by the technician who was able to fool me by asking me to keep the refrigerator in some other place as he felt the place where it was at present was not aerated.. But even after that i am facing the cooling problem.. The technician did not turn-up after repeated call to their customer care at[protected]... I have a extended warranty for 4 years and i feel the company service center is waiting until it gets over ...

Will never recommend any godrej product in future ...
