[Resolved]  Hcl Laptop — Improper Service

I, Sourabh Bhattacharjee, had purchased one Laptop of HCL having the product Code AX0U2406 from India Computer Centre, Jhanda Chowk, Ramgarh Cantt, Jharkhand dated 23rd May 2008. Further I would like to give the following details of my purchase

I have underwent two major problems in my laptop within this period of one year. The first problem was that the DVD tray of my laptop was defective which was though repaired by the company. Again, the second problem that had arisen was that I got a stray mark in the LCD of my laptop. When this problem was brought to the retail vendor i.e.India Computer Centre, initially no response was found from their side. On repeatation of the problem, Mr. Jaydeep, owner of India Computer Centre, asked me to go to the service centre situated at Vidyalaya Marg, Ashok Nagar, Ranchi to register my complain. I had registered my complain through a toll free number and then deposited my laptop in the service centre for the repairing of the LCD. After a month, i.e. on 15th May 2009, my repaired laptop was returned to me. From yesterday again, the LCD which was repaired started to show problems and my warranty has also expired on 23rd May 2009.

I just got fed up with the vendor and the company service centres. I doubt whether they had actually replaced my old LCD with the new one. For the last one year I had to run here and there a lot for all these and I didn't get any cooperation from my vendor.

India Computer Centre has made all the commitments to provide required after sale services during the sale of the product but neither it has given any service nor sold a good product. One cannot expect a brand like HCL to produce such kinds of products which gets upset twice within a period of one year.

I have underwent two major problems in my laptop within this two days. The first problem was that the items mention in the list with the leaptop was not completed(the connector of the charger). The second Major problem was " The key Board of my Leaptop was not working". As i have complaint to the delar he said " The company will not hear this type of minor problems, so i will repair it. How this major problems come within two days of purchese.
Yes i have also experienced the similar kind of problem. The left and right click buttons of my laptop were not working. The service centre first refused to accept the laptop stating that warranty period is over though i had 2 more years of warranty. Later on they took more than 1 month and kept the laptop with themselves. After 1 month though they said the issue is resolved but still both clicks were not working. I was fad up with the service and was in urgency to take away the laptop as i didnt hav any back up laptop.

Service quality: Worst

Recommendation: Never purchase a HCL laptop

MNCs like Dell, Lenovo, HP are providing far better laptops with high class service. Those laptops may cost a bit more but are worth to pay extra.

I am using HCL leaptop from the last 2 years & I didn't face any trouble in it but now last night i have shut down my leaptop & when again restarted this in the next morning then it shocked me because no power supply passing in the leaptop & till now it is not started.

So, Sir please help me what can I do now for this. Also I have checked the battery & the adaptor, both are alright .So, Sir please help me suddenly .I m an engineering student from Jaipur.

HCL — display webcam dvd writer adaptor

i purchased hcl notebook one year ago .in this leptop occur problem from that time my leptop always deposit in the service centre they repair after that within only 10 days occured same problem which service centre repair .what will be do tell me . plz tell me total procedure how to repair my leptop correctly.

i am regular faceing problem in web cam & now a days i am not able to hear sound nither in inbuild speaker or in any attachable speakers or in headphones.

I purchased HCL LEAP TOP in feb, 2008.
by sept 2009 my screen had gone black.something wrong withn display the service centre felklow said.
then when he reurnde after 10 days and 4000 rs down the drain, the start buttton wont work.he said try keeping it pressed for longer durations like 4-5 bminutes.that worked.
but now it wont start even if i kept it pressed for hours.
what to do.
such a useless product have already spent more that 5000 rs by now.

HCL — laptop gets restarted every 1hr

sir,
i purchased my ME laptop 1 yr back.i get a scratchy display at the cross,minimize and maximize tab after visiting one or two sites.my system is also very slow and it gets restarted every 1 hr.
I (Ashok Kumar Rathee from Rohtak Haryana ) bought HCL Laptop from OM COMPUTES on 09/09/2009.At that time they said to give all the support.In MAY 2010 I had a problem with the DVD writer of my laptop . I went to OM COMPUTER but got no help then I went to the service centre. They had the DVD writer and replacd it. I got it after one month .After a few days I again had the same problem with another problem of my screen. I again visited them they had my laptop for one month.When I got it it was working properly. But again after two days I experienced the same sacreen problem .I again visited them and again they had the laptop for one month and repaired it .When I got it the laptop was working good means the sacreen was OK.But again after four days I saw the same sacreen problem in my laptop.But this time the guarantee period was over by three or four days.I again visited them and told them about the problem but the said that now they can't do anything.I am still having the same problem .So please help me what should I do.
