[Resolved] HDFC Bank Bank Credit Card — Credit card complaints
This is the reply of the letter which i received from HDFC Bank Credit Card for enlisting my name in defaulters list and given below is the reasons for delay and the difficulties faced by me, please advice
I’m in receipt of your letter mentioning to impose my name in the list of defaulter according to the Credit Information Company (Regulation) Act, 2005.
In this regard, I would like to once again bring to your notice that the so mentioned default, which you have embedded on my name, is actually due to lack of response from your end and further harassment which you give to the customers is surprising.
As you have mentioned that my last payment received by you was on[protected]which was not the full payment of my dues), can you please provide me with an answer as to when did you further called me up for the payment and also to look for the details that after my payments how many times did I made a call to your Collection Department seeking corrections in my account.
I would like to throw light of facts on the happening which took place prior to my last payments once more (as I have repeated these over the telecom with your representative a number of times).
I received a call from one of your representative named Shalini prior to[protected] for the payment of my dues, on that occasion I did mention to her that prior to this period in which the bank had levied interests & other charges on my account, I did of my own called up the collection department and asked them to collect the complete payment so that there are no dues in my account but there was no response from your end, at that time I also explained them that I have got my Office as well as my studies so it is not possible for me to go to any ATM centers or any collection centers of your bank to make the payment of my dues, but at that moment no one from your bank turned up leading to delay in payment due to which the said charges were levied in my account. Now can you please help me out and explain, is this the Customer Service which you excel in? (as when I applied to your Credit Card I did brief out that it is not possible for me to visit your Collection Centers to make the payment and it was promised to me that your bank will send the representative for Collection of my dues and this service will bear no charges) and is this the way that your customer has to bear with the charges being levied on his account.
I did brief out this to Shalini and she said me that, “Sir, please make some payment so that the same could hit to your account and then we can request our division to waive off the charges being levied on your account”. A guy named Gopi came to collect the payment of Rs. 7000/- and at that time also I asked Shalini that I can make the complete payment and then you waive off the charges from my account but she adviced that “Sir, please make a part payment and after that I will request our division to waive the charges and once it is done, you make the remaining payment in a couple of days time”. I made the payment of Rs. 7000/- that time and waited for Shalini’s call as she promised me to give the updated regarding the corrections in my account.
I waited for her call for a couple of days but she didn’t turn up. After that, I made a call to her from my end to take the update but that time she said me that, “Sir since this is the month end period so we are busy in following up for the payment, please give us some time and once this pressure is over I will definitely get back to you”.
And after all this happenings I didn’t receive any calls from Shalini and not even from any of your representative either for the updates or for the collection of my dues.
In such a situation can you please brief me out as to why I didn’t receive any calls from your end for my dues for a span of 2 months?
Consequently, I received all your statements, mails & phone calls regarding the payment of my dues and I did explain all this over the telephone but didn’t have any positive response from your end. Sir, I hope you understand how difficult it is to receive the personal phone calls when you are at your place of work but even then also I had repeatedly briefed these happenings to the representatives who called me up. Many times I had faced insulting words from your representative and I was urged to reply in the tone they deserved, leading to an overall mess and mental trauma.
Let me also bring one more thing to your notice that, if you go through my account history you will notice that I had once made the payments for Interest & other charges as it was a delay from my end for which I’m liable to bear the charges, but this time I’m sorry for the happenings because this issue have mounted up due to lack of response from your end.
Sir, one more thing, today morning i.e.,[protected], I called up the HDFC Bank Cards Division phone number[protected] for Kolkata printed in your aforesaid letter, to know the email address at which I can mail this letter but the phone was busy attending another call, I then reached the voicemail box of the number and dropped the message giving details of my card and my name and requesting for a call back tagging it to be URGENT, but for more than an hour I didn’t receive any feedback, I again tried to call up the same number but this time no one was picking the phone and unfortunately on my part the voice mail box was also full. Sir, please try to understand how this lack of communication creates the bridges where these discrepancies crepes out leading to a hurdles in smooth function of a relationship.
I urge you to kindly waive off the charges & interest which are debited to my account and send me a fresh statement reflecting my real dues (the principal amount) and I promise to make the payment in a week’s time from the receipt of your statement. I hope that you would definitely take corrective measures and actions to uphold the name of your Bank and advice me for actions from my end.
