i have been using hdfc cards, due to improper monthly statements i decided to close the card, i got a settlement of rs31000/- which i paid.
but now they say that the settlement is invalid and there is an outstanding of 40000/-in my account .
please give me a solution.

Two years ago I settled my HDFC CC by paying in cash 18000 in sec-62 noida branch .Credit limit of this card was 15000 .
HDFC has now frozen my salary account stating that there were some dues, which is totally incorrect.

Hi,
I hold a HDFC bank credit card.I used my card for shopping for 80K and I paid full amount.Next month I shopped for 6k and somehow i missed to check and pay for that month.When I checked my statement next month, they charged all extra charges.I talked to customer case if they can revert the charges i wil pay the Bill.They never responded to my complaints and keep on adding all extra charges.Finally i called them and told to cancel my card.
Now they r calling the contact no in India and harrasing our parents.

Pls suggest me what can be done.

    To HDFC Corporate,

    Myself, P Mondal, from Tata Consultancy Services, Kolkata wanted to go for an equity based investment without life coverage at the end of February’ 2008 and for that reason I came across with one of your Investment agent “Jayanto Paul (+91-[protected])” of HDFC SLIC, CR Avenue, Kolkata. I wanted to simply do investing for Rs. 60000/- as a single premium in any sort of Equity Based Fund without Life Coverage. But, he insisted me to invest 25000/- in 3 years premium basis and described that policy as follows:

    1. It would have almost no charge and 100% of the money would be invested in the market.
    2. No Life Coverage will be there as per my requirement.
    3. After 1 year, if I am not able to give the premium value, no problem will occur.
    4. After 3 years, I can withdraw my full amount of money and no further premium will be needed to pay.
    5. After doing the investment he will come to me with a form to be filled up by me for getting online statement.


    I felt good about the offer, signed the forms, and gave him cheque. Afterwards, Mr. Jayanto Paul became totally vanished. When I tried to call him for bringing the IPIN forms to us (For any further clarification, you can talk to Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh ([protected]) and Mr. Gopala Ulisi ([protected]), they are also having almost same issues with Mr. Paul), he used either to not pick up my phone or make his phone switched off. For the last two months in the morning time he is committing to come in afternoon, in afternoon when I am calling him, he changes his commitment to come in the evening and in the night hours, he makes his mobile switched off. Finally we downloaded the Form from Internet and submitted to Salt Lake, Sector-I, HDFC SLIC, Kolkata Branch.

    Whatever I have briefed above is not something serious. But, later I understood why he did not bring the forms to us to get online statement, when at the last week as a result of my submission of IPIN Form, I received the statements of my Policies. I became tremendously shocked with the details (Policy Number 11661989, every thing is fine with[protected]. Immediately I called the helpdesk and now I can conclude something about the policy as follows:

    1. 60% of my Premium has been deducted as Admin Charges and only 40% of Premium is has been invested in market.
    2. It is actually an Insurance Plan with life coverage.
    3. After 3 years if I withdraw my money, 15% will be surrender charge.
    4. Maturity period is 5 years, not 3 years.



    Based on the entire incident above, I have the following doubts about your Fund’s Professionalism:

    · Instead of repetitive request to Mr. Jayanto Paul for an investment with single premium in Equity Based Fund without Life Coverage, he made the investment, which not at all I meant for. Now, you should not ask me why did I not go through the document before signing the forms. If you say this, then HDFC SLIC does not have any difference with a CHEAT FUND. I have already LIC coverage of 25, 00, 000/-, so, why should I go for another LIC which will have coverage of only 1, 25, 00/-. Does it make any sense? I had some extra money, which I wanted to invest in market with HDFC SLIC in order to get higher returns. But, you see what I wanted and what happened. The whole matter reveals the fact that either your management instructs the agents to cheat the corporate peoples not bothering about the brand names or they do not educate well the agents before dealing with corporate world.
    · At the time of investment, the Mr. Jayanto Paul told me the charge is almost nil, while after getting the statement I found it is 60% of the first Premium. I do not have any objection against your 60% admin charge and other condition not conveyed to me my Mr. Paul. But, if you are really one of the top rated mutual funds in India, then why do your agents hide the things before client?
    · After getting the statement, I asked Mr. Paul to clarify the stuffs and as he was unable to do that, I requested him to forward the call to his Branch manger. But, instead of my request, Mr. Paul denied to do that. Then directly, I tried to call Branch Manager of Girish Park, HDFC SLIC, Mrs. S. Gyan[protected]. Nevertheless, I found talking to a Branch Manger of HDFC SLIC is nothing but of a hard luck. Several times, I called her but not for a single time she was available. In this week, at least I called her more than 20 times and not for a single time I found her over telephone. Whoever was picking up the phone after listening my name either cut the call or told me the absence of Mrs. S Gyan. So, being under HDFC Family, how much scope you provide to your clients to directly talk to your Top Level Management? If I would have been provided to talk with Branch Manager, I would not have raised the flag with this mail.
    · I gave Mr. Paul one reference (My friend Mr. Amitava Choudhury of CADS INDIA, +91-[protected]) who wanted to go for long-term investment with a premium value of around 60, 000 to 70, 000 (Better you listen from him). But, after listening all those stuffs, I am sure he will be hardly interested to go for investment with HDFC SLIC, because, he will also be scared enough thinking about misusages of his policies. It is shame for any Investment Company that client called an agent for investing money and Company’s agent cannot reach to client because he has misused the referees’ policy. This CR Avenue, Kolkata Branch of SLIC is so non-professional that they cannot step to the right thing to get the business expanded tomorrow.


    I am not sure, whether you will praise Mr. Paul for arranging an investment for Three Years rather that 1 year from me. But, Frankly speaking, I am expecting call from your management level (Not from Customer Care Executives) to explain me why all those unwanted things happened? Is the Brand Value of HDFC SLIC so cheap, that any time any employee of your company can customize and misuse it in his own manner? Moreover, how much you conscious to maintain your Worldwide reputation and Banner Name? I hope being a well-known and worldwide reputed company, you will do some needful in order to prevent the downward movement of HDFC SLIC’s customer satisfaction.

    I have fist time associate with HDFC in this year through a Policy Unit Linked Endowment Plus II and invested a small amount Rs. 12000/- for me (Policy No.[protected] and same amount for my wife (Policy No.[protected]. And same person Mr. Jayanto Paul is the representative form HDFC bank. When we received final document along with photo copy of application form then we found lot of discrepancy in that. I belied on you representative but whatever he explain regarding that polish that was absolutely false mainly fund allocation and allocation charge. My policy has only miscommunication but in my wife polish’s has big criminal offense. HDFC Bank has changed the application form and not only that also play with nominee details also. We come to know the same when we received the document and photo copy of application form, we found that application form was not same which we filled. Signature also done by somebody else and try to match as per her passport signature and type of policy was also changed. At first I called to Mr. Jayanto Paul and he come along with other associate Mr. Sanjay Kumar. I want the explanation, why this happed and what is the solution. According to him it's happened because there was some problem in original form and due to shortage of time, he has not able to refill the duplicate form so some one (From bank only) has made the duplicate form and sign also. But I am not satisfied with his explanation and solution and requested him to cancel this polish immediately.
    But till date no action has been taken. I hope you will take the necessary action. You understand if I will share this incident to medial they will make a Braking new or I can file the forgery case and take the legal action also but still I am waiting for your prompt action.

    I have the exact same story to relate- involves a sum of 30 laks.This was a shock as I had trusted the selling agent.I had to redo the whole contract as it was willfully mispresented. My 3 year of investment are over in 7 months period. I will keep a close watch what the agents say and do- after all the agents are well rewarded for their sinful and dishonest attitude. It is a royal shame when a name like HDFC is used. I wonder what other trick HDFC banks upto.They should be dragged through the legal system and make then accounable for theif practice of fraud.

    As I am investing money in HDFC Mutual fund, regularly I do receive acknowlegment.

    But I need the statment that till date, how much unit & what is the price of the same?

    The complain is totally baseless. I have talked to concerned Branch manager and according to her nothing is happened like that. I also checked his policy and that is already with drawn that means customer has not lost any thing financially. Mr Jayano PAUL HAD already left the company one year back . HDFC SLIC ALWAYS VALUE THE CUSTOMER AND THE BRAND IS ALWAYS HIGH. Do not dare to write any thing which are toatlly misleading or base less.
    I will tell you why such things occur in HDFCSLIC. The reason is that In Kolkata, the entire team is led by a VP (Sales) SANJEEV BISWAS, who is basically Good for nothing. Sanjeev Biswas & his team enjoys company's facility & Perks but never worked for the development of any individual . Thats why the company is facing so much of bad Names & Policy lapsation .
    He will recruits RM & TMs based on his whims & fancies without considering any quality parameters . His TMs are never any guiding any field staff " How to do Quality Business" & instead only Threatening them for taking their Jobs if they donot achieve this many policy & this much value .

    Their High handedness has gone to that extent that on 31st July, Sanjeev Biswas along with his entire team upto TM level had a Cock tail Party in the day hours at Garia Branch Training Rooms . Which is against Company's Policies but they themselves will always violate . But they are very smart when the same happens to any SDMs . The same Sanjeev Biswas terminated one SDM of the same branch for entering the branch intoxicated but he himself is getting intoxicated in the training room of the Branch .

    Higher Management should immediately remove this local management to Save the Company from Bad name, Culture & Goondaraj under Sanjeev Biswas's leadership .
    I will tell you why such things occur in HDFCSLIC. The reason is that In Kolkata, the entire team is led by a VP (Sales) SANJEEV BISWAS, who is basically Good for nothing. Sanjeev Biswas & his team enjoys company's facility & Perks but never worked for the development of any individual . Thats why the company is facing so much of bad Names & Policy lapsation .

      I had opened an account with your bank on last August 2008. For that I was provided with a ATM Card. Even though I asked for an International Debit card, I was provided only with that. Then, when I approached the branch, they said that the card was given to me was the Debit card. But recently I found that the card is just an ATM card and not a Debit card. Last week (17th Sep 2008) when I went to meet the Manager of the Branch, he promised that the Debit card will reach me in 4 working days and he got the signature from me also. Then I didn’t get any information on that so I visited the Branch yesterday (25th Sep 2008) to enquire about the same.

      The way the Branch Manager and the other staff spoke to me was in a very rude way and it shouldn’t happen to anyone in near future. I was shocked to see those types of staff in a very respectable positions. So far whatever I had imagined about the HDFC Bank’s reputation was completely wrong. Because of the manner less behavior I took the form for closing the account and filled in all the details for closing the account. Your poor service was the only reason for this. After I came out of the Branch, around 7:30 I got a call from the Branch to my mobile number stating that my PIN number reached the Branch office and they asked me to come and collect it. Because of the mental agony and indigestible behavior of your staff, I couldn’t take any decision.

      Today, once again I got a call from the Branch (called by Ms Latha and the phone number is[protected] around 4:45 and she asked me to come to the Branch and collect the Debit Card and the PIN. I replied that I had submitted the closing form on the previous day itself and the time is already 4:45 pm. For that she said no problem you can visit the branch and collect everything. So I went to the Branch at around 5:30pm. For more than 20 minutes I was not allowed inside the office. When I called up the same number from where I was called, no one is answering. But the watchman came and told me that nobody from the office called me at all. Finally as the Lady(Ms Latha) happens to come outside, I asked her why she called me and why they not letting me inside the office? She said that my account was closed by around 4:00 pm itself!
      If they finalized to close my account, why they called me?

      When these kind of things happens to a well educated, holding a good reputation in the city and heading a business worth 15 Crore turnover per year. I couldn’t even think about the poor citizen in this country. I know that you will not take any action against this.

      I can open an account with any other Bank in this country. Soon you will realize the cost of losing an existing customer.

      After seeing one branch in a big city like Coimbatore, I have decided that even other branches also will be like this.

        Dear Sir

        My Debit card captured in HDFC ATM Machine Malviya Nagar (New Delhi) on 5 Sep 08.I called up customer care number and HDFC Rep told me to block this card and apply for new card as bank is not responsible for any misuse of card (Usually if card is captured in ATM machine of same bank than bank assures that it will not be misused).I blocked the card and raised the request for new card on 5 Sep 08 at HDFC Bank Udyog Vihar Gurgoan.The bank rep told me raise the request for address change also as the address in HDFC bank record was not changed and assured me that you will receive card on the changed address in 7 working days.I waited for 7 days and again called the customer care number that I have not received my debit card ( I have received my PIN number on changed address on 13 Sep 08).They told me that card was sent on address (As per the earlier records of HDFC Database) so it was sent back to HQ.So the logged my Complaint no[protected] and assured me that I will receive my card in next 7 days at changed address and dispatched my debit card on 18 Sep 08 through Express IT courier AWB [protected].As per Customer care my address is updated in HDFC data base on 12 Sep 08, But when I called up the courier services to my surprise they told me that card is again sent on the same address so they can't deliver on new address without bank permission.I again spoken to customer care they again given me a new complaint number[protected] and with new promises.I have my salary account with HDFC only so I am facing a lot of problem.I have never expected such a irresponsible response from such a Big/Organized Financial Organization.

          I had been using hdfc cards, due to improper monthly statements i decided to close the card, i got a settlement of Rs 22000/- which i paid, due to personal reasons I paid one month installment late and due to which they say the settlement is invalid and there is an outstanding of 34, 000/- in my account.
          They provided me a resettlement for Rs 11000/-, but still my name has not been removed from cbill list. Please give me a solution.

            Hi,

            I have been with HDFC Standard Life from August 2006 to May 2007 in your Gariahat Branch as a Sales Development Manager.

            I have submitted a withdrawal form of Providend Fund in January 2008 with your Regional Office (Eastern Region), but till now the money has not been credited on the given Bank Account.


            On this issue I have visited so many times to your Kolkata (Regional Office), but did not get any proper response from anybody.



            My PF NO is: MAH/8163.

              Dear Sir,

              Iam Preethi . My brother has been using the HDFC credit card . Now HDFC call me and torture me that I have to pay the amount cause my brother has used the card and he is not responding where as Iam no way related to it. Apart from that, they have been using very abusive language. Kindly Help me. Thank you!

                By using your card, I have purchased one cordless phone and paid the full amount thru the check but I got the statement for the month of May including the EMI for cord less.

                  I really have a very worst experience with hdfc bank while closure of my saving bank account no[protected] in the name of shubhangi goswami, as my home branch in mathura, and i filed my application in kg marg cannought place delhi branch, and also i cleared my negative bal of 1000 rs while the time of closing by depositing the money than after 2 mths my account is not closed and i did so many calls to the executive who assist me in kg marg branch while closing the account, she said we checked mam its in process, and i still got msgs of nargative bal in my account by mobile banking, nothing facility was closed on the account.                   Recently I have recieved a letter from HDFC bank dated 24th Dec that my will be closed within 30 days.Bank has not given any reason.It only says that my type of transaction are such that they can not handle it.So what the Banks are for.In the age of net banking if one can not do transaction then why promote net banking..Now bank has no interest in saving accounts.

                  No sms no email how can they decide that.Bank is making me feel as I am a criminal.

                      I have applied for HDFC Bank Credit Card last year in Aug 2007.I haven't recd the credit card till date .The card issued to me was misused by someone else and bank is asking me to pay the due amount.Meanwhile the day card was used, i was in Lucknow and out of Mumbai on Official tour(Employee of Reliance) .I have valid proofs for that which also i have submitted to bank.I am fighting with Bank officials since last 1 year but haven't got any response from them.Since one year i am only getting one answer that it's under investigation.

                        My husband holds a credit card and savings a/c in hdfc bank, even we have hdfc mutual fund a/c.

                        My husband lost job 3 yrs back and still un-employed, bcoz of which we went into severe financial crises and not able to pay credit card payment. but we noticed the interest was tremendously increased bcoz of non-payment so we closed the card. And requested the concerned people that as & when we get any amt. we will be repaying..
                        but.. yeshwanth, kumar & Tilak who are following up for the payment have no sense of decency, they use very abused language and mocking and torture over phone. my husband is already undergoing treatment for depression from Spanda becoz of this disturbing calls.
                        I am working as secretary in HP and i appeal for your help. i really don't know whom to approach. we have 3 small kids all are below 10 yrs.

                        Collection guys always talks non sensely. They must be punished even girls those are working with HDFC bank they dont have sense of talking.
                        They have opened the business of the 'Credit card'.They charge interest.They earn a lot. It is not gratis.It is something 'civil' and not 'criminal' specially a person has paid several installments.
                        The way these collection people behave or talk to other members of the family is disgusting.Every body is not a cheater.The percentage of the defaulter is very very minimal.

                        At times it is inevitable to grant some more time.You cannot take the life of the defaulter. You are governed by the LAW of the LAND..There must be some difference between those money lenders and these public institutes.

                          This is reference to my Food Plus card no. [protected].

                          On 9th sept, I had reported about my lost card on the phonebanking no. My card was hotlisted on the same day. Sametime, i had requested for card replacement.Till now I haven't received any replacement card.

                          Twice I have been given complaint nos[protected] given on16/09/09 &[protected] given on 20/09/08). The reason for having two complaint nos is due to non-traceable of the earlier complaint no. given by the executive.

                          Again on 24/09/08, I had enquired about the same. They have send me an SMS, saying "will revert back in 48 hrs".

                          More than two weeks have passed, still the situation is remains to be pathetic. They are not able to update me the status. Suprised by the standard of services given by a reputed bank in India.

                          Surprised by the services rendered to their customers. Being a classic customer, it really amazes me. They have never bothered to revert back either through phone nor email.

                          I am seriously thinking of closing my account from this bank & move on to some other bank.

                          Is this the kind of service which is provided by the Bank and even in the helpline thay cant provide with the branchs contact no so that we can contact them.atleast the branch would have the no to be contacted, if atleast thay provide us with the no atleast we could contact them and clerar our problems.

                          HDFC Bank Credit Card — Pathetic Services

                          HDFC Card harasses custmers by forcing them to pay the wrongly levied charges by Bank. Firstly they levy the wrong charges on filmsy grounds and upon making representations reverse the charges but ask to pay for it and pass on the credit the next month to customer.

                          Once it has been identified that the charges has been wrongly levied and reversed by the bank, why consumer should not be allowed to deduct the amount in question from the final payment on due date? Bank says pay in full (o/s) including the wrong charges with service tax & cess to avoid levy of another charge of finanace and late fee. Ridiculous. Taking a view of this pathetic customer service have decided to surrender the card and advise all to avoid using such banks card.

                          This is with much agony and pain, I am writing the horrifying experience I have undergone with regard to the HDFC credit card payment
                          On 23rd Sept 2009, I got a call from the bank executive that if you want to close this card you need to pay a total amount of Rs 3000/- (settlement) however this time you are supposed to pay Rs 1000/- and after one week you will receive a no due letter ( settlement letter) and you need to pay remaining 2000 at that time .. however I have not received any letter from the bank ... Now days I am receiving such calls again.. I guess from the recovery cell ..
                          Today I received a call from Lajpat Nagar Branch ( from some body named Shweta) .. she was too rude on the phone …and she specificaly told me that I am going to bother you again & again ..

                          I requested several times to close my card and I paid the amount 3 times too, but they hardly did anything.
                          It seems that they don't want to close the card. I think they simply penalized the customer, and don't bother the complaints. Now I think the only solution is to approach honorable courts.

                          I am now getting calls from 3rd party daily, but they are not providing me the details in written. So can you please guide me what to do in this case, as I am unnecessary harassed.

                          Dear Sir,


                          I regret to inform you and for your kind notice that I was holding and HDFC Bank Credit Card vide no: [protected]. In that card, my credit limit was Rs.2, 38, 000/- and after that Bank has revised and reduced the Credit Limit from Rs.2, 38, 000/- to Rs.1, 77, 000/-. I have used my Credit Limit and I have already paid Rs.2, 77, 371/- against my Card as per their statement dated 17.03.2010. I had no outstanding against my Card. Only some Interest Charges were Lying in my Card.

                          On that basis, I have requested to Bank to settle and convert my some Interest dues amount sympathetically in to fresh simple EMI after reversing all the Late fees, Extra Interest Charges and the unnecessary fees charged by the Bank Intentionally. Due to my tremendous financial problem, I was not in position to submit my children’s school fees and house rent also which already I had discussed this matter frequently to their customer care executive over phone & at least 14 to 15th times and sent 14th to 15th frequent reminder letters also.

                          If you see the Receipts & Payments A/c of my Card, from beginning to end then you can easily observe that, I have made already over and excess payment against my used amount through card. If you see my accounts I have already paid the excess amount which the money I have used through Card. If the bank waive my unjustified Interest and Late fees, then nothing outstanding will be pending against my card. Which amount I have used against my Credit Card, Out of that, I have made excess payment against my used amount.

                          Being a preferred customer for long time, I have changed my address, phone no etc honestly. As a result of which, their Recovery agency/goons have started to hassle me mentally and also my wife, not only that, they also used abusive and very rough language over phone and came to my office and insulted me in the front of everybody with very abusive and slang language and told me to make the payment immediately, otherwise they will attack me and my family with their team and told me that, they will thrash me in the front of my society and also told me that they will abolish me from my job. I am a very simple Private Company’s employee and simple middle class family. That incident happened for last 5 to 6 months. After completion of their mental and physical harassments, HDFC Bank has sent the Legal court notice to my address. I am a very simple and middle class family member and a very simple employee of a private company. Bank continuously pressurized me to take the credit card.

                          Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank .Please tell me, Is it a Reputed Bank ???

                          My Credit Limit was Rs.1, 77, 000/- and I have paid Rs.2, 77, 371/-. If my intention was bad then, why I will make the payment for Rs.2, 77, 371/-. Their Intention is how to raise the Interest amount and late fees unnecessary and pressurize to customer mentally. Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank . Is it a Reputed Bank ???

                          Due the tremendous mental harassment to me and my family, My wife is not well and she also feels very insecurity. Please help me and my family from HDFC Bank’s Credit Card nuisance.

                          HDFC Bank — Pathetic Service from HDFC Bank

                          I would like to share my experience with HDFC bank whose services has deteriorated during the last few years. I have my debit card expired last month, hence they are supposed to send me the new card...they send me a message that my card is dispatched....after few days I got the message that it returned back...it is not the first time that it returned back without any information or messages to me. I want to know if I could get the bank statements, credit card statements and other bank communication in the same address... why not the debit cards which are sent by courier...anyway I raised a complaint to phone banker and provided all the details as above... and I was assured that they will send the card again and also provide me a complaint number. However no action was taken and I was sent a message that the card has been dispatched to some bank and I need to provide pan card and address proof to collect it...

                          This is something ridiculous, a bank which was considered to be similar like any other nationalized bank has deteriorated a lot in last few years , some reasons to say this are as below

                          1) call the customer service number, 8-10 minutes on hold...and the line also gets disconnected frequently and we need to repeat the same thing again and again is this the way u provide service to customers ?

                          2) Dispatching the debit/Credit cards to proper address is your responsibility, if your courier company is not doing their job properly then you need to rectify it ....but nobody bothers and customers are asked to come to the branch to collect it for no reason ?

                          3) In today's highly emerging technological world, HDFC doesn't match with the standards provided by other banks if we compare the services (lots of manual work involved for small things also).

                          It will be better if members from HDFC takes responsibility, ownership and resolve these minor but important issues and provide customer satisfaction.
                          @ Pradeep : even i have lost my food plus card and there is no proper responce. May i know finally wt happened did u get any replacement or new card ?. please provide me solution how to get the new card..
                          I had lost my HDFC food plus card and applied for the it the same day. Inspite of repeated follow ups through emails, there was no response from HDFC.
                          When I called them the agent Mr Prasanth very rudely replied "i cannot do anything talk to my manager" .And top of that he proudly mentioned that "not only yours we have numerous pebding card cases".

                          I have never talked to any bank staff having such rude behavour with customers. I talkes to him for a few minutes and believe me I have never come across any person so rude irresponsible and so arrogant.I am not sure if these HDFC people train their employees to talk to customers.He disconnect my call twice while i was still talking and third time he put me on hold without evn saying anything.. There is no limit to the pathetic service they provide.

                          No response to email.No body talk on phone.Disgusting HDFC staff.

                          Only alternative is to swith to a different bank

                          HDFC Food card service is very bad. When we call the representative assigned to our corporate he is saying he is very busy getting so many calls and answers rudely. Not at all responsible, pathetic service.

                            Hi,
                            This is in regards to the amount (70, 586.94 rs) debited from my Hdfc account by the HDFC credit card division. Without any intimation. I used to have a credit card of hdfc which I wanted to get canclled as i had to go outside India for a project for this I had made lot of calls to the call centre and send several mails also but no one got back to me. I had send the mails through my officail id. After sending so many mails and repeated phone calls I also stopped the follow up as I was very busy with my work. Than few days back i had called to check on the status of my cancelltion of credit card i spoke to a female named Simaran and she told me that my total outstanding is 68000 approx including the interests. I told her that it is not my fault and that the bank is putting in so much of interest charges and I will be paying only the principal amount, after somtime she agreed on the principal charges and told me that someone will come to my residence with the account clousre letter and I have to make a cash payment Rs19000 approx (The principal amount ). When I went to the bank on 26 Aug 2008 to withdraw the amount I was shocked to see that the Credit card division has blocked my 68000rs amount. and on 10 of Sep 2008 they have debited Rs70, 586 rs from my account. would appreciate if you can help me to get my whole amkount back. I have my full intentions to pay the principal amount only as from myside I tried my best to cancell the credit card but I did not get any response from the bank. Because of this and cheque of 11000 has been also dishonoured from my account. To support this I just have a copy of 1 email send to HDFC bank stating the names of the people I spoke to. My credit cards details are as follows:

                              I wrote this email to HDFC hoping for a solution. The complaint has been vividly described in it.

                              THIS IS REGARDING AN ISSUE RELEVANT TO A MISSING CHEQUE PAYMENT, AS QUOTED BY THE HDFC PHONE BANKING OFFICER MR. SANDEEP, WHO HAD ASKED ME TO PRODUCE PROOF OF PAYMENT FOR THE PREVIOUS MONTH (BILL DATE 9TH AUGUST 2008) STATEMENT. I HAD MADE A PAYMENT OF RS. 7908, WHICH WAS RETURNED ONCE FOR NO SIGNATURE, AND WHEN IT WAS PRESENTED AGAIN, IT WAS CLEARED AND DEBITED FROM MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT IN SBI. IN SPITE OF THIS, NOT ONLY IS THE PAYMENT APPEARING IN THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT(DATED 9TH SEPTEMBER 2008), BUT MR. SANDEEP CLAIMS THAT IT IS NOT APPEARING IN CARD ACCOUNT EITHER. I WAS ASKED TO GO TO THE CREDIT CARDS DIVISIONAL OFFICE IN NELSON MANICKAM ROAD, CHENNAI. I WAS ASKED TO MEET MS. INDHUMATHI (PH: 23744002, ON THE 2ND FLOOR)

INDUMATHI MADE ME WAIT FOR ALMOST 1.5 HOURS ON 22ND SEPTEMEBR 2008 (THE ENTRY REGISTER CAN BE CHECKED, WHEREIN I HAVE COME IN AT 3 PM APPROX), AFTER WHICH ALSO SHE REFUSES TO MEET ME, SENDS WORD THROUGH A SECURITY GUARD TO LEAVE THE PREMISES AND CALL PHONE BANKING AGAIN?????????? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW EXACTLY ARE YOU PEOPLE TRAINED TO THROW YOUR CUSTOMERS FROM ONE END TO ANOTHER NED WITHOUT ANY COURTESY? THAT TOO FOR A FAULT YOU HAVE COMMITTED.

                              THIS IS SHEER STUPIDITY AND IRRESPONSIBILITY FROM YOUR END. THAT TOO FROM A BANK OF REPUTE LIKE HDFC. THIS SHOULD BE IMEDIATELY TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT AND ALL LATE FEES AND INTEREST SHOULD BE WAIVED OFF WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. Without my knowledge and consent the Bank has sent the Credit Card, I have refused to receive the same, and returned, as I am not interested...Please don't irritate the people..

                                on 14th Sept-08, Rs.52, 000/- has been withdrawn from my HDFC s/b a/c which was i have informed to branch on 15th (very next day) by giving below complaint which will be resolved in a week time.

                                from Rs.52, 000/- till date bank has credited only Rs.17, 000/- from one party and informed for rest Rs.35, 000/- bank is following-up with two parties but both are not presented in the branch till date.

                                today i have informed branch officials Mr. Dogra & Amber to take the help of Police to contact both the parties to recover my money. they said bank is doing their work and don't know how much time it will take. this is not the reply from such a prestigeous private bank of India.

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

                                On 14/09/08 around 13.00, I have received 3 SMS on my brother's mobile-[protected] stating an amounts of Rs.18000/-, Rs.17000/- & Rs.17000/- have been debited to my s/b a/c-[protected] through THIRD PARTY FUND TRANSFER facility which I have not done.

                                Immediately I called your customer care officer on [protected] where Ms. Shivani attended me. I have requested here to block / lock my a/c as well as a/c's of opposite parties where my money has gone. She informed me that she has done NO FURTHER DEBIT option for all 4 s/b a/c's. I explained here whole situation. She has lodged my complaint & gave me complaint no-S53000070.

                                Infact, I want to inform you that since I have opted for FUND TRANSFER facility, I have not transferred any single rupee from this a/c except Rs.100/- and that too only to check whether this facility is activated or not.

                                Yesterday I visited RC Dutt Road / Alkapuri branch where I met with Mr. Amber who informed me that sufficient balance is lying in all the 3 a/c's to recover my money. He informed me that it will take some time (approx. 10 days) as all the 3 a/c's are out of Baroda (2 are of Chennai & 1 is of Mumbai). He told me that bank's branches of Chennai & Mumbai will called the party and take in writing that this fund transfer is not done by them & bymistake they have gone these money. Then after only bank will refund my money. I asked him if these parties would not give in writing OR not ready to refund the money then he told legal action / police complaint would be done by bank. I again asked him should I go for police complaint / FIR then he told me this would be done by bank, if needed and I would not be held responsible for any delay in this matter.

                                You are requested to please investigate this matter seriously and in-depth to know how my customer id & password has been disclosed when it was known to me only and not too my 1st holder ANSUYABEN NATUBHAI PATEL who is my mother.

                                Myself Prashant S. Thakkar HDFC A/C No:- [protected]. at Alkapuri Baroda Branch.I have checked my ministatement through ATM on Dtd. 07.05.09 Time 17: 39 PM. Where I have received only 3089.61 Amount on Credit. As per my concern in my a/c I have Credited my a/c 3000 on Dtd. 07.04.04 & 07.05.08 respectively through some another party..In last April & May I have not done any single debit transcation eventhough I have got only 3089.61 amt instead of Aprrox 6000.

                                Pls.Go through in this matter & Awaiting for yout immediate response.

                                My name is Sumedha, before merriage my name was Aparna. Now want to open new account in your Bank. after marriage now my husband is staying in abroad. also we have not done marriage registration.

                                So, to open my account what can i submitt as identity proff? is the Afidevit i can submitt? As per your authorised representitive it is not valid in HDFC.

                                  With ref. to above i would ike to inform you that i was insurance agent of hdfc sli & at the time of traning our instructors told me that if somebody has to close his policy after 4 year's than the surrender value will be the amount deposit in 4 years along with some interest on the amount ...& the same we told to our clints ...& also i had take a policy ...for rs.60000.00 for 16 year.. on 2004 ...

                                  and now i need fund in emmergency to manage the funds i requst hdfc sli to close my olicy & tel me the surrender value of my policy ...& the reply comes is as below...

                                  see iam unable to understand that why thay cant tell the agent's ..as well as the customer .so that these kind of policy we cant buy & is this type of service is correct ...

                                  being a controlling office you should instruct the insurance co. to pls provide all the details in advance...so that a customer will not loose their money...

                                  pls look into this matter as insurance co's are missguiding to the customers... pls stop this ...

                                  Hi Sir,

                                  I took the Young start policy from HDFC bank this year Jan 2009 and they told me that you will recieve the welcome kit with all your policy related docs in seven days.

                                  From that i called 10 times to HDFC and they told that because of some printing machine problem they will send within next 4-5 days. Till now 2 Months has gone and I didn't recieve any documents.
                                  Even the agent is not responding properly he is telling me to contact to customer care number.

                                  I request IRDA to please set some guidelines to insurence compnay specially to agents so that we can come out from this worst services.

                                  One more thing is that agents shows the rate of return 11% 15% etc as per my knowledge this is illegl.

                                  Please restrict them to maintain transperency.

                                  I am nida khallid having HDFCunit linked young star ll my policy no is..12590689, , , , i have taken this ppolicy in the month of january 2009, now i am not at all sattisfied with the services and want to cancil the policy as soon as possible and tell me the procedure of getting the money back of the premiums which i have paid to the company, , , i do not want to proceed the policy any more and want to abort it as soon as possible and do not want to pay the premium of the next month (may 09).
                                  HDFC Insurance Company as well as HDFC Bank will not provide any service to customers. For email queries either they won't respond or they will respond in a very vague manner.

                                  This is true in case of two policies what I am having.

                                  IRDA has to come out with a rule that each and every insurance company has to put a surrender value calculator on their web site.

                                  Secondly just like companies are telling lot of things about premium payment, in their docs, they have to clearly illustrate surrender values with suitable examples.

                                  Else, insurance companies will keep on duping the customers.

                                    I booked a ticket from HDFC bank credit card from Indian Airlines for Mumbai-Muscat-Mumbai, I had to cancel the return ticket from Muscat- Mumbai. Indian Airlines transferred the refund amount to my HDFC bank credit card account. But to my disappointment the amount has still not got credit to my HDFC bank credit card account. When I called up HDFC bank for detail they flatly say that there has not been any credit in my Account.
