92014I have a HP Gas connection with Sainik Cooking Gas at Behal, Kolkata.I have booked for a cylinder on 8.04.2008.After a month on not receiving the cylinder, I went to enquire from the shop only to find that the shop has shifted and no one nearby knows of the present location.

We are a working couple and am indeed at a loss as I dont know where to go to find my gas agent and neither can we afford to take a leave from office to go and search the shop without any clue about its location.

The address of SAINIK COOKING GAS as in my document is 5A, Raja Ram mohan Roy Road, Kolkata - 700008.

My Consumer no is 624359.

HP Gas Cylinder — Delayed(15+days at least 3 calls) in Delivery always(Not as per Booking Date)

When I book my Cylinder via Telephone with Thane City HP Gas Distributor which is near Pratap Talkies(Thane City-Kolbad)t his cylinder is always delivered after I make atleast 3 calls to them.Initially they tell that it will take 10 days but when I start calling them after 15 days they say it will be delivered to you tomorrow.But if I dont call they even do not deliver after 20 days.
I think there is no Proper system with this Distributor or there might be mismanagement or some under the table transactions for Delivery to Commercial Gas users.
This is happening for last 1 year or so. Now I am planning it to publish in the News Paper this but thought let me write this to you first and then lets see what effect it has.
Take for example May 2008 case I have booked my Cylinder on 5th May but today it is 15th May till it has not come when I called them they said ok if it that much late then we will deliver it tomorrow!!!
A day before a person from HP gas visited my house and said we are for Inspection conducted from HP gas of your Gas stove.
As I was not at home, my wife permitted them to Inspect. He was in HP uniform. Later he said that the connecting tube is suppose to be changed and a new one is to be installed, If you do not permit your registration would be cancelled, this will cost you Rs.200/-. My wife didn’t have money so she told him to attain us when my husband at home.
How could company take such action if there are no norms written for this in the agreement? If it is considered as further amendment, why there is no written communication to the customer.

Please help me. some time I feel that the person was a fake. If so, kindly let me know I would like to file a police complain against such behavior of that person.

HP Gas — DELAYED DELIVERY OF GAS CYLINDER

THE SERVICES OF THE LALJI GAS AGENCY AT KANDIVALI EAST HAS DETRIORATED DRASTICALLY.

LAST SEVEN YEARS WE ARE AT IN THIS LOCALITY. BUT DURING THE LAST ONE YEAR TO GET ONE GAS CYLINDER REFILL, WE NEED TO REMIND THEM A FIFTEEN TIMES. THEY GIVE A LAME EXCUSE THAT THE SUPPLY TRUCK HAS NOT COME.

THIS IS ADDING TO OUR STRESS AS WE ARE BOTH ARE WORKING AND THIS ANOTHER ADDED BURDEN OF REMINDING AND GETTING THAT REFILL GAS CYLINDER ON TIME. THIS MONTH INSPITE OF DOING THAT REMINER, WE HAVE ENDED UP WITHOUT A GAS CYLINDER.

MAY I REQUEST HP (RETIAL) AUTHORITIES TO TAKE A FIRM STEP AND HELP THE SUPPLY TO BE DONE ON TIME. ALSO, A DRASTIC STEP IS TO BE TAKEN TO STREAMLINE THE FUNTIONING OF THIS LALJI GAS AGENCY.

Hindustan Petroleum Consumer Gas — Very poor service

The service of HP Cosnumer Gas supply is very very poor and the consumer is always at the mercy of the supplier, who are acting like mafia's.
In this age of consumerism, as usual, any governement service is pathetic - similar is the story with HP cosnumer gas supply. If you get the dealers telephone line, then you are as fortunate as getting a lottery prize.
Then the story unfolds, once the booking for new cylinder is made. They will continously give you assuarnce, but the gas will reach you only after several reminders and almost when you are on the final edge of frustration..
HP should immediately act to bring these dealers to book, as in most cases they take premium from Hotels & restaurants and supply them these household gas, which is totally illegal. This results in short supply.
One such unscrupulous dealer is Lalji gas supply based at Kandivali(East). They sell off the gas cylinders allotted for households to restaurants ata high premium (Fast Food Restaurant, etc) and also to other households who pay extra.
The service of this dealer is "PATHETIC" and every month this is the same story.
If HP does not take any action against them we (consumers at Kandivali-East) who are having to bear with this STUPID, UNSCRUPULOUS, FRAUD dealer, will be bound to approach the appropiate forum for redressal.
Hope you would understand the pain and agony we (consumers) face from this dealer. There have been situations wherein we have had to eat out at restaurants as our gas (02 cylinders) were fully exhausted and had no gas to cook food, even after 25-30 days of having booked the gas with LALJI GAS AGENCY.
I booked gas for home delivery on April last week 2008 but till today 29.05.08 delivery is not happend. Whenever i make phone call to their representative, she says tomorrow / today must be delivered. So far 4 times I called and every time they are giving wrong commitment. I am very sorry to say HP service is very poor and they have to take some strong action on their distributers for wrong comittments.

Whenever i make phone call to their representative, he says tomorrow must be delivered.They will not respond to my complaint properly. I am having H.P.Gas consumer No. 603315. i have booked a gas on 13.05.2008 and still i have not got by cylender. our dealer KALYAN BIJLI, BUDGEBUDGE, is saying that they have already deliver the cylender 22.05.2008 and agrgumenting so many rediculus thinks to us. we always facing problem in delay in delivery of cylinders not only me all people staying here and fed up with delay in cylinder delivery. Our Area Agent is supplying the cylinder after 2 months.

Non delivery of Gas after 31 days of booking

I have booked my gas on 30 April 2008. After lapsing 20 days I have asked the agency, they told that with in 3 day we will send. They did not sent. I called again after 3 days, then they told toddy we will send I said ok. Till 5 days they told same thing we will send today. When ever we call they will tell same thing we will send today. After five days they are saying that where you have to collect your cylinder at agency or home. Now what should I say to them. Every time they will brig the cylinder to my residence. Some time they will tell that in your area our service is not there you have to come some meeting point and collect the cylinder or your have to come our agency.

My PIN code is 560097 just check and tell me in this area HP-Gas service is there or not.

Till today I have not received the cylinders. i.e., 30-May-2008. I am Launching complaint because this is not first time they did like this all the time we book the cylinder till now they did the same thing.

HP Gas — no resolution to problem yet

I am a senior citizen and my HP Gas connection Transfer from Kekan Gas, Pune to Atish Gas, Pune is taking ages. There was a responsible manager who had called me up once or twice saying that it would be done immediately. that was after i made this complaint here in this forum for the first time...
Its been 17 days again since the first complaint.

Now that "responsible employee" of HP does not even pick my call..

I am a senior citizen and I have a HP connection for the past 37 years... And i am getting this run around...

I am going to the Consumer Court now... and will be asking for compensation to the tune of 2lac Rupees for all teh harrassment that I have been facing for teh past 3 months.

HP Gas — REFUSAL FOR PETROL SALE OWING TO PRICE HIKE W.E.F. 05/06/08(00:00 HRS)

HPCL retail outlet M/s Chedda Lal & Sons, Station Road BANDA (U.P.).

Owing to the hike in petrol and diesel rates on 04/06/08 w.e.f 05/06/08(00:00hrs).The pump owner refused to provide petrol more than 2litres. There is no provision of complaint against this on the official website of HPCL. No directives as such have been issued in this regard by any authority.
We have an HP gas connection in our house which in Kadaba, puttur Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District/Karnataka. The dealer is in Puttur which is around 50 KM away from Kadaba. The HP dealer M/S Mookambika Gas Agencies(Dealer code:959530) is charging an heavy amount of Rs 65.00 per cylinder for the delivery in Kadaba.The dealer take his own sweet time to deliver the gas and the consumers have to go to Kadaba city and collect the gas. Again the consumer has to spend additional amount to transport the gas to his house. Presently with the price hike each gas cylinder is costing around Rs600.00.

So I kindly request the concern people to take a necessary action which will benefits the HP Gas consumer.
Against Cash Memo Number 367 dated 3/06/2008 for Rs 294.75 for consumer number 583715 of Paschim Gas service Paschim Vihar delivery man collected Rs 350/- on delivery date 5/06/2008.My wife told him that this amount has been corrected by you and you cannot charge more than the amount printed on it but he giving the excuse of recent hike said that the amount has been corrected by the agency.So plz clarify that whether the amount is charged correctly otherwise action as deemed fit may plz be taken against the delivery man as well as the agency whoever is at fault and arrange to get my excess amount refunded at the earliest.

HP Gas — purposely late delivery

To whom so over

I had booked my HP cylinder on 28-05-08. I was assured that i will get it next day. But i have not got. After my repeated call the answer was the same that i will get the cylinder next day.

It was purposely did and after the hike in price they delivered the same to me on 6-06-08 so that they get the hiked amount (Rs.350)

Maharashtra government announced that it will be cheaper by Rs. 14 i.e (350 - 14= 336). But they charged me 350 saying that this is the lot of 350 Rs. cylinder.

Whenever I make phone call to their representative, he says that they are not giving home delivery.
