[Resolved] ICICI Bank — Harassment by recovery agents | |||
Just now 2 icici bank recovery agents came to my house and were banging the door and shouting a lot. havent taken any icici loan and I am not concerned with it but they still are harassing me and threatening me to take me to basavanagudi police station. His phone number is [protected]. Agents name is Vivek. I do not want any icici recovery agents near my house. Its for a different person. If they break the door will they repair it. Some Unknown Agency — Get unwanted calls from some agency
Hi,This is Akash Vartak. I am a 5 year old customer of vodafone number [protected]. However off latly (in last three to four months) some agency keeps on calling me and askes for Mr. Hemraj Rawat. There have been lot of times when i have clearly told them about the number does not belongs to Hemraj Rawat still every 2 days a girl (calls herself Pooja) keeps calling.
Please help me to get rid of these calls. These calls generally come from below numbers

Kindly let me know how can i prevent getting these calls.

ICICI Credit Card — Harassment from the icici people and there recovery agents.
This complaint is behalf of my parents who are using icici credit card and we are from Pune. My mother and father both have a icici credit card. They both have been using a card for more than 2 years and were regular in their payment. Lately my father is unwell, and having lot of health problems due to that we are not in position to pay the dues every month as we are going through a financial crisis. So we decided to settle the amount.My father's outstanding amount is amount 800000, and they said the settlement amount would be 75000, which is not justified. We told them we cant pay so much, give us a reasonable settlement amount. After this they started harassing us on the phone by using abusive language. They dont have a courtesy to talk properly to a elder person. Later they started coming to our house and started abusing us, they even used a bad language which was not acceptable. They even threatened my father saying now you see how we will trouble you and your family. Its quite shocking to know that a reputed bank behaves this way.
We never said we wont pay, but we only said to give a proper amount. My father is already suffering from a health problem and not this people are making his health more worse by abuse and harrasing by coming to our house. Please help us to take a proper action against them

ICICI Bank — Phone from recovery agent
for last 1 and half years i am reciving calls from different recovery agents for recover of loan which in my life time have never taken or i donnot bear any relationship whith them.I have many times complained to local branch in porbandar and now i filled compalin at there customer care on 10th sep but today also call was there i have again warned them for the same..
can i take any leagal action against them plz let me know...
ICICI Bank — Some other persons Housing Loan recovered through my account
ICICI Home loans recovered the EMI of some third person from my account. After months of followup, they finally paid me back my money, but they deducted some amount as their bank charges. I was shocked to learn that. Instead of paying me interest for their error, the deducted money from my accountI have been chasing them for quite a while but still no response. The Head of service quality who is considered the top person to resolve this issue, has been mum and not responding to any emails
I am not sure what kind of ethics this bank follows. Its a shame!
write a mail to banks ombudsmen and rbi - its a bank's fault and you can also file a case in consumer court asking for the penal interest and compensation because of error bank which caused you financial losses and mental harassment
ICICI Call Center — Unwanted calls for ex-employees
We receive at least 3-4 calls everyday from ICICI Bank to inquire about our ex- employee who had left almost 3-4 yrs back or more than than. And above all this when we inform them to update their record they said yes and again after 2-3 days we receive call for same person. We are really fed-up with this.. Hi,

Im deeply traumatised mentally as well as tormented by the harassment and false defamation calls my family and friends have been receiving for the past few weeks now. I am receiving at least 8-10 calls daily from some unknown recovery agency from MIDC for someone else's default on some Credit Card (Card number –[protected] as told by manager Aditya Sonawane). They call for someone else which isn't established if this person is my son or not. They call at my home phone, on my mobile, my husband’s mobile and at my work place as well. This has been happeneing since few months now. They have called my work colleagues, ex-work colleagues, distant family members and friends informing everyone of someone else's credit card debt. I have also cooperated with them, yet I am being harassed for no fault of mine. ICICI bank did not ask me permission before providing the credit card, nor was I informed when it was defaulted, so now why am I being harassed by recovery agents. We are getting phone calls from numbers such as [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected],[protected],[protected],[protected], etc. Aditya sonawane (Team manager )and Noor Mohammed(Phone banking officer), ICICI bank Ltd., Trance trade center 5th floor DSMG dept, opp floral deck plaza, seepz midc Mumbai – 56
They have been threatening, lying, falsifying information, harassing by calling me during working hours, calling my colleagues, my ex-colleagues, friends and relatives and have been abusive, rude and demeaning. They have called my husband and me names in Hindi and used foul language with my relatives. They call at very odd hours like when I’m working in school they call on the school landline, when my husband who is 74 years old is taking a nap after lunch they call everyday, and past few days they have been calling after 8:00pm. Yesterday they spoke very rudely to my husband asking to speak to “aunty” and asking who he was and what is he doing there in “aunty’s house” at this time and using her phone and if he is deaf and cant understand and that he is a part of this credit card debt and they lied to him that apparently Noor Mohammed( ICICI officer) spoke to my son on Tuesday and had a conference call with me where apparently my son said he will transfer the funds to my account and that I promised to pay the amount to ICICI bank. Also he said that my husband has taken that transferred amount is enjoying spending that money and doesn’t want to pay ICICI. what kind of joke is this? I have no contact whatsoever with my son since past many years and whatever little information I gather from some of his friends, I pass it to ICICI. They even said they have his number, then why do we get 10-15 calls? Why cant they call on that number 10-15 times a day and do something rather than harass us?
This has surpassed the limits of sanity and sanctity. I am writing to also place on records that a bank of such repute does not perform any sanity check on the agents being deployed to do this activity. Your motive to create an embarrassing situation to relatives and friends of the defaulter, but why harass all o[censored]s in this way? Are we guarantors for this credit card you have issued to someone else?
1. Does ICICI collection executive have right to lie and give false commitments to achieve their monthly targets?
2. Does ICICI bank have authority to abuse and threaten people who are NOT involved in the credit card debt to collect their money?
3. Does ICICI collection agent have rights to unethically avail card member’s neighbor’s, family, relatives and friends information and pass the cardholders information to them?
4. Does ICICI collection agent have rights to call card member’s neighbours, family, relatives and friends for collection?
5. Does ICICI collection agent have rights to harass card member’s neighbours, family, relatives and friends and to threaten, speak abusively and rudely them?
7. Will my family get justice and compensated for the trauma we had gone through due to unethical business practice followed by ICICI bank executives?
9. Will I get any written explanation and apology from ICICI bank?
I need an escalation in this case and would like to get a prompt favorable resolution to this issue, failing which I will be forced to take further course of action. I will also be filing an FIR for defamation, torture, threatening and harassment with the local authorities. I have written to ICICI customer service as well as the Nodal officer but no response as of yet. I will wait for some more days to hear of some resolution and then write to higher authorities like Ombudsman for ICICI.

Rs.15, 000/- have been transferred from my Savings Bank A/c to my Credit Card dues without taking any authority from me. This was my salary for June 2008 & now I'm bankrupt because of this unfair transfer.
