I and my wife invested Rs.10000/-(2x5000) in millionaire family bonds in 1996.
Now I found company had called to redeem the bonds in 2003, but we have no information.
Whenever I see the bond, I feel we will get huge amount at old age.
We found cheated now and our dream to become millionaire by 2026 shattered.
What is the option now. Can we get any interest beyond 2003.
Reputed company like IFCI is doing like this. We lost trust in investing in any sort of govt bonds now.

What is the present status of the Family Bonds issued by IFCI in 1996?

Bonds were redeemed on the dates of maturity or on exercise of call option by IFCI as per the terms of issue or with approval at the meeting of the bondholders. The redemption amount of the bonds are as under :

How can I get the redemption amount of the bond?

To get the redemption amount, investors are required to submit the following at the offices of the Registrar (MCS Ltd) or IFCI Ltd:

a) Duly discharged original bond certificate,

b) Application for redemption,

c) Form 15G/15H, as applicable, for non deduction of tax,

d) Copy of the PAN card,

e) Bank account details of the bondholder

f) Present mailing address

I am told that the redemption money is transfered to the Ministry of education as I had not submitted the bond in time!!

This is hard earned money invested and not sure how IFCI can refuse the whole amount.

IFCI LTD — Mishandling of shares

Hi, My name is Gaurav Bajaj. My Mother i.e Mrs Indu Bajaj purchased 100 shares of IFCI in the year 1994 & lodged for transfer on[protected].The shares were not received by my Mother & undelievered shares were returned by the postal authority to the company. A letter was written regarding shares on[protected] & a reminder was also given by us on[protected]. Correspondence re-started on[protected]. The company responded the letter on[protected] in which they demanded some formalities that was taken care of. In the letter dated[protected] they informed my Mother that some person has lodged the shares for transfer in his name in February 2010. When my Mother was corresponding with the company since March 2010 why they have not told my Mother about this earlier ?

I have heard from various sources that IFCI family bond 06 Sep 1996 got early redemption on 06 Dec 2003, this information not reached to me due to my service which is transferable job. But till Now i do not get any payment of my bonds, So kindly Check Status & note my Folio No. stated down & please provide my payment as early as possible. Investment to this below mentioned bond from my heard earn money IFCI being a Government approved Organization cannot be forfeited ordinary peoples money just by cancellation the bond in news paper this information not reach to many people.
