I have noticed that majority of the students fail in Ignou BCA. Although the enrolment figure of ignou is rising the failure figure is twice as much. The university doesn’t have a proper evaluation system. It also has a poor communication with the students. The university says that their course is ideal for working and those who doesn’t have time to attend a collage regularly and the students can complete the course in there own...

Is the PGDMCH course recognised by MCI?. If not is the possibility of joining the DNB family medicine without passing the cet finalised? if the course is not recognise bu MCI can there be increment in the cnetral service( degree allowance) kindly let me know the latest news.
IGNOU office in Kolkata do not provide any information properly again they misguide students and again they misbehave with students if they enquire for any particular requirement.

This is not only in kolkata this is the case with many IGNOU centres, I applied for B.Tech in Civil & after 6 months are over still i have not got my study material, my student card, acknowledgement for 10, 000 fee i have paid, all because they are sending these things with an ordinary post, when i enquired with the IGNOU they told the postal department must have missplaced the them...& when i enquired the Postal department they are saying they dont have any record of the these things because IGNOU is sending everything by ordinary post...which is rediculaous after paying so much fee they such a some courtesy to send the Id card by registered post...
Its not over yet when i again enquired with the IGNOU about the missplacement of the IDcard by the postal their reply was like " we cant do anything if you have not recived the matrials, there is nothing we can do about it...because we have already sent it...
Also I am J Paul from Barasat, N 24 Parganas, trying to contact to IGNOU Regional Centre-Bikash Bhaban (Tel no.[protected],[protected] from 10 AM To 6 PM continiously but for a single time I could not reach to this number, All time (and offcourse all seconds of whole day time) the number is busy, Is it Possible? I am sure Staffs of the office make the Phone busy manualy for getting relaxation or use the Phone for their personal purpose.
So, I beg attention of the high authority of IGNOU to take immediate and strong action.
In the country like india i do belive that there is no solutions of such kind of issue, Each and every government is making profit, , , , , they does not have time to look in such kind of matters which is related to normal people...
I have tried to call Bikash Bhavan several times, never have I got anyone to pick up. I have gone there and seen that the phone rings and they dont pick up...they are rude to the point of no-return, always make parchis and wait in queue each time while the babus enjoy umpteen number of lunches or just roam about from one room to another, while students wait for hours, doesn't matter if one has come from far or has to catch a train...its not there business...if one has to go to Bikash Bhavan its a whole day picnic ...they dont realise one thing, that they have been hired by OUR government, paid with OUR money so they are not obliging us at all by talking to us, they are there to serve us...btw, Santanu Mukherjee was helpful to me. Incredible India!

They r very outrightly right.I have done my graduation from Ignou with lots of penury.Nobody in the counter in kol regional centre or study centre are aware of classes.Even once they lost bunch of assignments, and later managed to pass all the candidates.Few people r good who acknowledge that there r big loopholes in overall admin., co-ordination.none includins co-ordinator of our study centre bothered to give classes for whole two years of three years of graduation, leaving frst year.Reason they cited that we have not recevd intimation of name professors (at midst of session)who will take classes.can u believe that for the same project class(practical) those too efficient bunch of jokers had alloted one madam and sir at the same time .When pointed they r vey casual in their approach.(Ki kobo amara, ora na bolle amara ki korbo.Ekhaneo ora -amara)We r students after all.We have faith in constituonal democracy.But why making this mockery of happles students.Yes, I pointed this to duty clerks at my study centre then n there showing them that it was written on the display board that both are alloted classes for the same project.And even they were told telephonically to come n attend their classes.I can recollect every incident of such type of callousness more vividly till now.Lastly personally i gave call to madam(sory i cant disclose the name of my GURU) who was just new in this domain of clowns that this had happened.However after few brain storming sessions wth co-ordinators and respected others, she felt uttterly hopeless, and feeling the grave we werw heading too, she came personally and sat "OUTSIDE THE COLLEGE CAMPUS LITERALLY ON THE ROAD, NO NOT IN THE COLLEGE CAMPUS, BECAUSE COLLEGE WAS BUSY FOR ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS AND SIGNED OUR PROJECT WORK FOR ATLEAST 12 STUDENTS present there..I AM ONE OF THEM who were lucky .the tragedy is that she was so shell-shocked that she left after few days for higher study for new delhi.FOR MY WHOLE LIFE I AM INDEBITED TO MADAM TO BE HUMANE AND EMPATHESISE THE TRAGEDY WE MIGHT FACE IF SHE DIDNT GO THRU THE PROJECT AND SIGNED THEM FOR SENDING THEM TO DELHI. Only two days were left to send the final project and i am more than 100% sure if someone asks the authority that who, how, where and by whose authority she had signed them, none in our reg centre, study centre, even half of our fellow students, that by gratitude she had come from far away place as she resides some other place too far away from our study centre, stayed in her relative house, saved our carreer and whow that 's her last day wth us. BELIEVE ME EXCEPT PROVISIONAL CERTIFICATE AFTER CLEARING GRAD., TWO SEMESTER BOOKS THAT TOO AFTER 4 MNTHS AFTER STARTING UP YHE SEESSION HAVE COME. I had to pay for my id card tho i had not recevd wthin 36 mnths of my course...lots can be said.These r due to lacklustre attitude of admin, nepotism, laid back attitude.Its a whole mess in 28 AND 2814. I, Chandrakala Subba, bearing Enrolment No.[protected] registered under B.ED Programme of IGNOU, at 24 Regional Centre, Gangtok, would like to draw your kind attention about the fact :
( I ) That, I appeared in the Term End Exams on ES - 344 and ES - 334 from 2401 Exams Centre, under Gangtok Regional Centre, on 15th of Dec 2005 and 19th of Dec 2005 respectively.
( II ) That, I wrote the exams on the above mentioned papers on being permitted by the Regional Centre by being issued the Admit Card ( Term End Examination Intimation Slip, December 2005 ). Where in, I was permitted to appear in the examination as a Stray Candidate,
(III) That, in the issued Admit Card my Enrolment No. had been reflected as[protected] which was apparently similar to my actual Enrol No.[protected]. This error could be figured out just recently.
(IV) That I have otherwise cleared / successfully completed all the papers / courses ( both Term End Exams & TMAs ).
(V) It is pertinent to inform you that my actual Enrolment No. is[protected] but I have innocently reflected the Enrolment No, mentioned in the Admit card, in all the answer scripts and correspondences that I made for the partial fulfillment of the Examination on the above mentioned courses.
(VI) It is very sad to inform you that, till date I have not received my results on the above two courses and also the cumulative B.ED Examination result till date, Inspite of my several requests through the Regional Centre, my Result Status is still "NOT COMPLETED" This has caused a state of discouragement and agony.
(VII) B.ED being a professional degree, I am urgently in need of the same for my further carrier advancement.
Therefore, it is my earnest request to your kind office to kindly look into the matter along with rectification if any, and my result on B.ED Exams may be declared at the earliest please.

Hi, I have registered for MA Education from Jeddah, KSA. Unfortunately, even after the declaration of 2nd year results, the first year assignment marks have not been posted on the web-site! In spite of chargning exhorbitant fees from international students for everything, there is no service offered to the students, apart from the fact that they can study at their own and write down the exams, with no right to ask about the delcaration of results. I have given for re-evaluation of a paper, and here we have to spend around Rs.6, 000.00 to get one -paper re-evaluated! then, what about the results? No idea!

I have applied for OPEN MAT twice but was not able to sit for the exam
The first application was not having clear gazetted stamp so my form was rejected with my DD of Rs 550/- too.
With my second application a horrible thing happened.I was lucky to get my hall ticket for the OPEN mat for last Sunday, 17th Aug'08.When i reached my center at dhaulakuan(center code-07) the college was closed coz of sunday and the gate keeper informed me dt IGNOU is closed here since last june.I was helpless.I tried calling maidangardi but no one picked up the call.This time also i have lost my money with lots of frustation.
I have dowloaded the form from the web abd attached Rs 550 DD along with that.IGNOU has not sent/posted me any prospectus not even the Hall ticket to me.Such a bad management system.
whenever i am calling maidangarhi to ask the reason for this they are just transferring my calls to someone.Till now a ma not able to find the concerned for this

Yes Neha, its absolutely bad management. I also at the verge of my MBA degree and during this degree period I have faced terror of this bad management. And this terror still going on. I suggest to write a letter (not email) to your concerned region, attatched copy of first sheet of assignment (where achieved grade is mentioned and signed by evaluator), mark copy to delhi office. I think they are entertaining hard copy of complaints only. In past i have my grade marks updated by this way.

I am a student of MCA Vth Sem. My enrollment number is[protected]. I had taken Dec, 2008 exams, whose results have been declared recently. I was shocked to see the remarks in my result. The phrase "LESS EXAM FEE PAID" was written in the Remarks' column, though I had paid all my exam fees through the onlin bank challan form. Results of the previous practical exam i.e. MCS-025 was not declared at that time, so I paid the fees of six subjects of the current semester and one subject of the Ist Semester i.e. Rs. 350. This is to inform u that I HAVE COMPLETED MY BDP IN 2007.But i have not received my Grade Card and the Provisional Certificate till date.
Moreover in five papers the assignments weightage had not been added.
So the papers status are showing not completed.
The papers are ECO-13, EEG-5, EEG-6, EEG-7, FST-1.
However i would request you to add the assignments weightage to those papers.
So that it could be completed and i could get by Provisional Certificate and Grade Card.
Its been quiet long time now.

Really i have done a great mistake by trusting this IGNOU. it seems my life has been stuck in some ways due to IGNOU poor management.
Because till the time i won't received my Grade card and Provisional certiicate, its difficult for me to do further study and even doing job.
IGNOU have not make my life easy, it has make more difficult for me to survive in this competition world.
Matters relating to the implementation of the official language policy of the government. It organises workshops, programmes and contests to promote Hindi. The Cell also translates official documents. In accordance with the guidelines issued by Government of India regarding promotion of Hindi the Hindi Cell was created.
LEGAL CELL
Deals with legal matters and also defends the University in various courts of law on any legal dispute.
SC/ST CELL
In order to adopt and implement the guidelines issued by Government on India regarding reservation policy, the University has created an SC/ST Cell. The SC/ST Cell has also been entrusted with the work relating to the grievances received from SC/ST employees and also to send relevant information to the Ministry of HRD and University Grants Commission. Looks after the welfare of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe employees.
PUBLIC INFORMATION UNIT
To centralize all information activities of IGNOU a Public Information Unit has been set up under an Advisory Committee to.
Provide information related to the policies, plans and programmes of the University to students and members of the public; and
Create a positive image of the University and promote the open learning system in the country.
Functions
Publicity:
Press Releases, Interviews, and Press Conferences are organized on a regular basis.
Website Updation and Monitoring
The regular updation, designing and monitoring of IGNOU's website memory is being handled by this unit under the guidance of a twenty member committee with representative from each department.
Advertisements:
All advertisements related to recruitments/tenders/admissions etc. are handled by the PIU.
Corporate publications:
The PIU is responsible for coordination all activities related to the printing of the In-house Magazine, IGNOU Newsletter, Profile, VC's Convocation Report and other Convocation publications as well as general information literature such as the University's Brochures and folders of the Schools and Divisions.
Public Information:
This unit handles general enquires, replies to letters of prospective students by post, through e-mail, over the phone and on a face-to-face basis.
Malpractices Cell:
The PIU monitors all misleading advertisements and information pertaining toe the University's activities. A surveillance committee under the aegis of the PIU has been constituted. Students seeking admissions to various academic programs of Indira Gandhi National Open University are advised to directly contact IGNOU headquarters at New Delhi or Regional Centres of IGNOU only. Students interacting with intermediaries shall do so at their own risk.
VIGILANCE CELL
Vigilance Cell formally came into existence in the University in 1998 and is headed by the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) to handle the vigilance matters concerning the University to ensure probity and integrity in public administration. It is considered as an extension of Central Vigilance Commission for the purpose of exercising check and supervision on vigilance and anti-corruption work.
Processing Complaints
The complaints received on corruption, malpractices or misconduct on the part of the officials of the University are taken up for investigation. While normally a Public Servant is required to address communications through the proper channel, there is no objection to lodge complaints directly or communications giving information about corruption or other kinds of malpractices. While genuine complainants shall be afforded protection against harassment or victimisation, serious note will be taken if a complaint is, after verification, found to be false and malicious.
Lodging Complaint
If anybody of this University asks for bribe or if you have any information on corruption in this office or if you are a victim of corruption in this office, you can complain to the Head of this University or the Chief Vigilance Officer and the Central Vigilance Commissioner as per the addresses given below. The anonymous or pseudonymous complaints are not entertained. The identity of the complainant should be disclosed and their identity will be kept confidential. Mine assignments which I had sumitted in october 2008 haven't yet considered in my grade till now !!! (its ~August'2009). Its not just first time incident. The Study Centre official had even lost all students assignment when I was in my 2nd semester for which we had to submit all assignments again!! I can't get why is there so lazyness. Yes Neha, its a biggest mistake if a ambitious career seeker gets enrolled with IGNOU, least with Kolkata's LAZY study centre.

Firstly if the ICCF is seriously going to look into the matter then I feel the institute should keep a staff and students gathering or a meeting and each and every student who appears for the examination should be allowed to see their own answer scripts after the checking of those papers within 60 days of completion of that particular exam.
Secondly the period of declaration of results should be within 45 days of completion of examinations, and for this maybe IGNOU will have to move up to one level with other competitive institutes by appointing and recruiting more staffs in different course departments.
This has to be done fast and acted upon immediately because the young generation are getting furious due to the mis-management of the university.

My name is Amit Jain. I am student of MCA. MY enrollment number is 02241534. After repeated followups still my assignment marks are not updated for CS-54 and for that reason it is still showing INCOMPLETE status for the subject after 2 years also.
Also I appeared for Final project viva last year and the examiner who was eating Samosa and talking on phone, asked me some question and then said go and than in last when result came out I was not given number in viva voce.
Due to his irresponsible behaviour I am suffering and not able to complete my MCA degree.
What should I do to resolve the problem of assignment marks.
I have resubmitted new final project report and till now I dont when will they conduct viva voce.

I read your problem and i analyze your problem, first your total session for completion of MCA has been finished according to IGNOU.If your marks has not been updated in your grade card till now you should contact to your study center and RC.After that you should write an application and contact to IGNOU SED Maidangarhi New Delhi with all proof.

I am in last semester of MCA and have cleard most if the attempted subjects. I have attempted CS-60 more than 7 times but nogo. I completely agree with this and the paper checking is not in proper way it seems. The reason for the same is in one attempt my marks reaches above 24 of 75 and in very next attempt i get a single digit mark. Revaluation is not of much help in this.
Can any one suggest if there are any officials person who can be contacted from the ignou.
I am a MCA V semester student and I fully agree with it. There is no proper way to check exam copies and I have give cs-60, 64 exams more then 5 times and these papers are still not clear.
I want revaluation or recheck of theory examintaion of BLIS 01, BLIS 06 and BLIS 07 term end examination of December, 2007. and even i have not got the marks of objective questions of BLIS 01-06 yet where as other has got already in their grade card positively. Another my marks of BLIS 07 Assignment no. 03 term end june 2007 has not entered in my grade card.

I am argee. I joined MCA but I left the course in 5th semister. As there is not proper paper checking system. It give us negitive impression of IGNOU faculties.
The course offers mathematics and its really very tough to clear it, i have passed all papers but this one, this has not let me get my degree, so i joined fashion industry and now i am a model and also a prostitue.. thanks to ignou i have a great carrer and that i earn a lot better ignou could offer .. in short ignou S u kk s -- my advice join fashion industry.. but no way .. ignou is pathetic
i am really dam pissed of this CS-60 as it is not at all fair asking to study whole year syllabus in 6 months and more over you don't know where they pick question from and it is really bad exploiting students like this. I am agree that syllabus of CS-60 is really vast. It should be made as an options subject.
I am not agree that copy is not being checked properly. I have got the marks how much i have written in the copy.
Even I am not agree with comments mentioned above. I am in third semester and got satisfactory marks in previous semester's. My score till date is near about 70%. So I completely disagree and don't think marking is too tight.
Big mantra to clear the IGNOU exam is write the thing clear and precise and also focus on your writing too along with subject matter. If your content is not readable then there is no point how good you have written. This is based on what I observed from my colleagues.

Yeaah..I agree with the bad copy checking system of IGNOU. I appeared for MCS-031 paper twice. First time I could not cleared though I had a very good exam. Next time I have passed though I had a very bad exam even I did not attempt 55% answers. I dont know who the hell checked the copy.

The best suggestion is that, all the students of IGNOU should get together and file a leagle complain against IGNOU. Students should let the univercity know that students can also fight back. It this continues then the univercity will become more careless for the forecomming students and they will suffer much more then the present students. So, it is the students that have to do something before it is too late.
My suggestion may hurt somebody and may no look good but is it the truth.
The pass marks for successfully passing BCA from IGNOU is 50%. A student is required to accure 50% in Theory(Term End Exam), 50% in Practical and 50% in Assignments.
Only for FHS and FST the pass marks are 30% in Assignment and 70% in Theory (Term End Exam)

Of course, Ignou don't have any other resources from where they can earn, and now these days education is going very boom in power earn money. If IGNOU passed all student on timely or as per there students efforts, so how he can arrange the salary of his employees. That's why ignou increase all fees slabs in all courses those very need full for low class or medium class category peoples.
IGNOU never think about his pattern or paper marking policy, IGNOU know well every students want to learn and grow career more then students have to pay more more...But IGNOU don't know, i[censored]niversity go rising the prices of course than student will shift in another university, there are lots o[censored]niversity in india, those providing all these courses in very low and class service is very fine another then the IGNOU.
I am waiting for the, when student will shifts from ignou. Ignou don't that thing also, they never provide a book material in books. Always ignou students need tution or guides, where all ignou book is less in knowledge, never ignou student can pass without tution, just cause, there no proper knowledge inside the book. just they mentioned the reference of author, so why they gettting money for book material those are less knowledge for students.
Coming days IGNOU will become a very poor university if they not take action all for these. Student never take admission in IGNOU.
In future defintely i'll try to beat ignou university in india in field of education. they don't know how to promote the eduction according to situation.
If IGNOU want to earn money through education then should open a private university seperate for private students, even it'll not effects on low or middle class students, I don't know why they breaking a dreams of these class students those have a dream to become good educated people and corporate with india to become a educated.

The basic reason is that the refrence material provided by the university is not well explained especiall CS-60 course where(Examples given is use less) in shot the refrence course meterials provided for some other ourses is very, very useless

IGNOU is for working people. But there is hardly any flexibility in the ways to appear exams and reregistration. If one skips a semester due to some reaon, the information is difficult to retrieve, support services are difficlut to find.

The university claims, its courses are so structured for employees and those who are unable to attend regular class.But for appearing for some practical exams, one requires 70% attendance.Most of the study centers are conducting the theory/practical classes on odd hours like 6.30AM on weekends, which is difficult for students who live far from the study center.University is not taking any responses and disclaims responsibilities.Also its difficult to get some queries/problems to solve.
Dear Friends, If it is possible, please tell your friends and relativies please do not join IGNOU for any course. The only course you can join, how to live without doing any work in Government office. Probably they might have have the course!The worst college I ever studied. The communication was very very poor in the Main office Delhi and all the regional centres. Students think they will get good education and good response, after completing one year, definitely 99% people think that, why I joined IGNOU??????? If it is a good education institute I won't blame, they made it as a pure pure business! and they will think that Goverment is paying their salary! by forgetting our fees!

I have a very Bad experience with IGNOU
I have applied for OPEN MAT twice but was not able to sit for the exam
The first application was not having clear gazetted stamp so my form was rejected with my DD of Rs 550/- too.
With my second application a horrible thing happened.I was lucky to get my hall ticket for the OPEN mat for last Sunday, 17th Aug'08.When i reached my center at dhaulakuan(center code-07) the college was closed coz of sunday and the gate keepr informed me dt IGNOU is closed here since last june.I was helpless.I tried calling maidangardi but noone picked up the call.This time also i have lost my money with lots of frustation.
I have dowloaded the form from the web abd attached Rs 550 DD along with that.IGNOU has not sent/posted me any prospectus not even the Hall ticket to me.Such a bad management system.
whenever i am calling maidangarhi to ask the reasong for this they are just transferring my calls to someone.Till now a ma not able to find the concerned for this

Hey prativa, I don't know u are ladies or because i am assisting you only if you are girl or women. First of all I have to say all universities misconducts are entertaining by UGC, and so u can't go to consumer FORUM, but consumer FORUM was THE BEST option for u but not in your case. At last you can lodge complain on UGC website or if your course comes under technical category have to lodge complain on AICTE (UGC control all institution for basic course and AICTE control technical course ) in your course AICTE will be right., 2) I will suggest u lodge complain on pgportal creating I'd and password and there strongly hit to get back money and ask him why that all happened, at that time it depends on you how much u are intellectual, I mean which manner u talks, they forwarded ur message to directly ignou examination department head you can say whatever also abuse ### (if u are harassed extremely) . Last if they don't help pls put ur feedback poor after month or year u will receive a call from ministry complaint monitoring team and there u may be angry . really this is true that the exmination copy evaluation system of ignou is very poor.
i always feels that if i attampts below 75% correct then i can't expect passing marks (50) .

Hey guys IGNOU is still the worst University in the world. It has world repute of harassing students even Brightest of students are passed in the way of Inki, pinky and Ponky. Its truly luck Quality answers doesn, t have any sort of Value to them. I have a backlog in PGDIBO IBO 06 which is Intl Business Management- I have written well in the examination. However, the Valuator has given me only 28/100 even after referring the India's Best Authors Viz Dr Apte and Dr Madhu Viz.
They valuate on the basis of Study Materials given to the students at the time of registraton Trust me its only basic's and do not have any sort of Value to that.
Please don't Join this University for any Course. Maths paper is Valued by English Lecturer and Eng pap is valued by Chemistry lec's

fir january 2008 ke liye jab re registration kar wana tha to mai late ho gaya aur maine late fees ke saath delhi se wo form bhar diya for january 2008 session courses (FST1 CS63 CS5) semester 3 jo ki submeet ho gaya delhi mai
but ab jab mai semester 4 ke liye bhi fee mail kar chuka hu karnal ke liye to mujhe koi response nahi mila hai wahan se ki wo fee pahunchi hai ki nahi ya wo accept karenge ki nahi
kyunki mujhe doubt hai ki kahin mera regional center to change nahi ho gaya hai ???

I heard a strange thing from my teachers is that, they are telling we are getting 2 rupees per examination paper when we do correction, we have to complete 100 atleast to get 200 in a day, just think your career is evaluated for just and they are just trying to earn money when your paper is in theie hands...and they will look only giagrams not theory...if there is no diagram fail itsims...all beggers in IGNOU. Previously i thought that i will do my masters in tourism from IGNOU. But now there's no question of it. Take my advice... IGNOU is the worst option 2 choose
Most of the students of IGNOU leave before completion because of these reasons according to me:
1. working people has less time to prepare
2. % of pass marks is high ..=>50% (i.e 2nd div)
3. most of them are working people . means not regular collegiate.
But being a student of BCA(final sem), I personally feel IGNOU is good for the working people, at least the materials provided are good.
Also, passing depends on hard work and patience. I am working in NIC State center where my job is network engineer and need to work 24x7. But still I am doing well in my exams. As for me I respect IGNOU.
IGNOU courses are not accepted outside India. If you apply for emigrating to any country, they don't accept IGNOU qualififcation. Then why waste money and time?

I agree with the Fact that IGNOU BCA Syllabus is way to Huge to be easily covered durying the Exams.
I feel, students good in studies should only enrol in such courses. I've been trying to complete my BCA since the last 5 years.
I still hav Maths & a few other subjects which I am finding Immpossible to clear.
CAN NE1 TELL ME IF I CAN SHIFT FROM ignou BCA-TO- IGNOU-BA(for example) considering the credits i hav scored from clearing other Papers. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I feel I can atleast clear BA exams. Atleast I'll get a graduation degree.
For course PGDHHM, I applied first in Nov, 2007 for Jan 2008 batch. When after waiting for several months, I didn’t get any communication; I sent IGNOU Ahmedabad Regional centre a letter. I got a reply dated July 11, 2008(F. No.70/ RCA/ 5184) that I was selected and given enrollment no.[protected]. They sent me letter by speed post on[protected], WHICH NEVER REACHED ME. The funniest part is they didn’t care to assure that their letter reached me by any means- speed post receipt, e-mail or phone-GIVEN in application form.
MY ENTIRE YEAR WAS LOST for no fault of mine.
I again applied in June 2008 for Jan 2009 batch for the same course (Appl. No. A-091133). I received acceptance form on the evening of 6 Jan, 2009 by speed post (dated 31/12/2008, posted by them on 2/1/2009) that I should pay my fees by draft before 6 Jan, 2009 otherwise my admission will be summarily rejected. How preposterous. I live in a city 300 km away from their regional centre.
They gave me enrollment no[protected], by which I lodged a complaint on IGNOU website, but after typing all details when I submitted, the site told me that no. is not valid.
HOW CAN THEY MAKE SUCH A JOKE OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS?

A very very WISE ADVISE to all who plan to join IGNOU (or who already joined or just completed 1 to 2 sems). This is my humble request to you all (or you may think that your own heart is telling to yourself), please DO NOT enroll in IGNOU University (and to others who have already enrolled DROP IT OUT now), cause i tell u with my active conciousness that you'll will be wasting your years in this university. After many bad things in life, I deliberately decided to take up BTS(Bachelor of Tourism Studies) through IGNOU. Received materials late in the first place, in my 2nd year now & need to complete 2 Projects related to the course. As per the project guide IGNOU sent out all that is mentioned is " A supervisor is assigned for me locally who would approve my Proposal/Synopsis & guide me through it or I can prepare the project myself & mail it to Delhi after his approval. Well I did contact the great Supervisor who wants to charge me Rs.2000 to certify it which is not authorised by IGNOU. I've sent emails & reported to the Study center but they can't action it. The supervisor is so bold & threatens me that noone else can help me.He says he charges everybody who goes to him. What do I do, Pay him 2000 for nothing? Seems I may be a drop-out again for some stupid reason like this...

I was the Student of the IGNOU. But I Had to leavet his cource. I submitted my addmission from with perfact name spelled. But I got registration from with spelling mistake in my name. I clear the four semesters but they cancelled due to name differ. I requested so many times at Reginoal and Delhi office. But Regional office made changes and Delhi office did not make. Finally, I left the BCA Cource from IGNOU.
Ya, It is absalutely right, because the process is very long and very rude. No complains heard by the authorities. Student face a lot of problems due to the long and delay work. It is my hearitiest advice to all please do not join IGNOU even in your dream.
The study material is horribly incomplete and incompetent. You can find mistakes on almost every page. Yet the questions in the assignments and term end examinations are tough to be answered if one considers the study material alone. You have to invest in good books to be able to pass an IGNOU MCA (or even BCA) exams.
Also the marking is very tough and often unbelievable. Consider this, some guys I know have a very good logic and programming skills as they have completed their A level from DOEACC. But at IGNOU they got disappointment when in their DataStructure paper they got below 10% (I passed ... thank GOD). Either these guys are dumb or IGNOU is.
Doing MCA from IGNOU while you are also working is a wrong decision.

The IGNOU BED Study centre of Kanyakumari, The Ruben College of Education is functioning as a Business Centre not study centre. The acquittance only obtained from the mentors those who guided to their student teachers and no money was disbursed. The management has taken all those money to their own use. So kindly take action to disburse money to the concerned B.Ed mentors .All those undergone training is wished to close the centre for the welfare of future generation.

I took BA Major course in IGNOU in several years back and had completed three years but there was no assignment marks in my report card. IGNOU — IGNOU BCA non receipt of hall ticket for June 2009
I am student IGNOU BCA. Due to some reason I am not able to fill up exam form on time. then I sent exam form with late fees by mistake to delhi SRE instead of sending to my RC center i.e Mulund Mumbai. Now they are not allowing mw to sit for examination because I sent to delhi main center. The new rule is applied from this year as so we are not aware of it fully.
Kindly look into this matter as early as possible so that I can able to sit for my examination.
Students got registered for BCA programme last year and appeared in BCA -I semister in Dec 2007. Students appeared in 3 papers and one of these was FHS. Now university is saying that the paper was not supposed to be taken and you will have to take the same examination again in June. Students prepared for the exam, spent time and now would have to again spend time on it irrespective of the fact it is the fault o[censored]niversity who did not know if the exam was to be conducted or not. Why did not University notify in Dec itself that this paper is not applicable. In any case why don't the university take the same papers in account and get those checked and declare the results in June session. Students would have to suffer and again read the old subject that has 8 books to read and that too was informed now when it is less than a month in exams.

Yes, you are right, according to ignou rules, exams can be appeared only after 1 year. I think you were able to right in 6 months itself. btw, since you wrote, I think Igonou should valuate them
Can anybody tell me that what is passing marks in FHS as i have got 35 marks and also i am very disagree with IGNOU's policies about re-taking the FHS exam in 2nd semester.

I had appeared in the above said exam. TTE in June'2009 including practicals and TTE in Dec'2010 and
submtitted the Project and appeared in viva in Aug'2010 and also applied[protected] for re-evolution of my MLI 005 for which I appeared in TTE Dec'2010.
I request you please issue me updated grade card including all my above TTE Exams., Assignments
marks, Practicals marks and Project Report with viva marks in one updated Grade Card clearly showing
the Courses completed immediately as I had already written to V.C. and made several requests by sending complaints but nothing was heard so far from you. May I hope that University will hear the cries
of their students.

Want some favour from your side. I had appeared for MBA OPEN MAT entrance test, and hopefully i qualified. now i have to take admission so just want to clarify few of my doubts.
1. What is the last date to take admission in MBA for the First Semester as i had given open MAT exam on February 3, 2008
2. Any course can be attempted i.e MS-1, MS -2 etc ?
4. One DD is enough or i have to make 4 DD's for 4 subjects?
5. Is the ID Photo is to be attested by University office and if so whether it is at maidan Garhi, Rajghat or Tughlagabad.
6. At the time of entrance test i had filled up Regional Centre as Rajghat & Study Centre as Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, but the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College does not come under the Rajghat Centre so now i have to submit the form to Tughlagabad or to Rajghat only, to take Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College as study centre
7. Will the Graduation Fianl year mark sheet work as i dnt have the Degree.
