[Resolved] Indian Railway — chacking for panelty slip

I i feel very socked from R.P.F.behaviour from Amritsar, Punjab

I am mukesh dutt aproduction manager. I have a recevied my family at old delhi railway station. I asking plateform ticket from a counter but they reply me plateform ticket is not available. Then i request a T.T. solve my problem then he give me a signatured slip. When i went on plateform a R.P.F. CONSTABLE CALLED MR. CHAUDHRY meet me and ask me for plateform ticket. When i seing the slip he used very ockward language for me after that he demand for Rs. 200 for the samp. When i denie for the money he catch me to a T.T. the T.T. cut me a panelty slip no. 633460 dated 19.06.2009 Rs. 510 and request me to destroyed the slip. I have a dought this slip is false. I had booked Two E-Tickets through Jain Travels (Agent Name: NILESHJAIN) (WL-IRCTC’s e-Ticketing Service) From-AHMEDABAD–To-CHENNAI with two different boarding’s one is From: AHMEDABAD JN (ADI) To: WARDHA JN (WR) and second one is From: WARDHA JN (WR) To: CHENNAI CENTRAL (MAS) as continuous journey.

The first boarding got confirmed tickets & their details are given below:

Both o[censored]s (Senior Citizen) started our journey on 06-Mar-2010 and travelled upto WARDHA JN comfortably as the tickets were confirmed. Thereafter at midnight 01:30 Hrs. T.C. (Ticket Checker) has informed us that the ticket From: WARDHA JN (WR) To: CHENNAI CENTRAL (MAS) is still waiting list and traveling with this ticket attract penalty. He thereafter charged Rs. 1000/- as penalty for such offence as per Indian railway rules. (The receipt issued by T.C. is enclosed) However, on my inquiry with the booking agent, I have been informed that the ticket status was confirmed and no money has been refunded back to the agent by railways as was being done in care o[censored]nconfirmed tickets and as per IRCTC rules.

As per the policy of Indian Railway where the wait-list e -tickets will be automatically cancelled after chart preparation. Technically it is right thing to do. If your ticket is still wait-listed after chart preparation then you are without ticket anyway! So by-default all WL e-tickets are considered to be cancelled. IRCTC Customer Care Support also confirmed that were not cancelled and was confirmed ticket.

In view of the above, I feel that the attitude of T.C. who has charged penalty without verifying the actual position is questionable, unjustified and giving harassment to Senior Citizen like me.

I request you to please look into the matter and refund me the penalty of Rs.1000/- charged by the T.C. at the earliest as possible.
