[Resolved]  Louis Quartz wrist watch — duplicate watches

Hi,

I recieved a pamphlet with my recent credit card statement of AVA Merchandising offering Louis Wrist watch free for Citibank Credit Card holders, just Rs. 490 charges. I ordered that watch and recieved, and got an international guarantee card of 1 year but card does not contain any serial no. of watch, date of sale, etc. and also the watch, battery are duplicate.

Please take some action against such companies adn banks who are promoting such products and making other fool.

Regards,
Sanjay Ramavat

I have got an offer for free Louis Quartz watch from Sodexo Pass users from scratch & win. i am asked to pay the handling charges of Rs 495. But after reading all these compaints about a duplicate watch. i am bit disheartened. i dont know whether i should go for it or not.

i feel serious action should be taken against this.
After a long fightabck with AVA at last i got the same Duplictae LOUIS watch...:(
I also got the similar offer from SBI card and got the watch and no identify of manufacturer name. AVA Merchandising is selling duplicate products and credit companies are also promoting this company. Pl. take action against this companies
I too got such a watch as a gift with ICICI Prudential Pension policy. The agent who sold the policy to me claimed that the cost of watch is Rs.4000/- but the watch seems to be a local one with no S.No., Manufacturing date, place of manufacture or Warranty card.
now the Offer is from ICICI Bank Credit Cards. This time also throuhg AVA - The dream Merchants...
Thanks for the posts... I am Saved.
I had ordered the Louis Quartz watch from my ICICI card and found to be fake.We shd take a serious action against this companies. We shd go 2 Consumer Court and file a compliant as no other people shd be cheated.
Hi all,

I also just recieved a scheme from AVA Merchandise. But fortunately main to bach gaya becoz ye product par paisa lagane se pehle maine internet par aap logo ke comments dekh liye.

Now i'm feeling much better.
I had to pay JUST Rs.590 with my ICICI Credit Card to be the boastful and prestigious owner of the timepiece. I type "louis quartz watch" and the first link lands me on this page. Thanks to all the contributors to this thread, i have not yielded to this ponzi temptation!

Louis Quartz Ladies Wrist Watch — Defective Piece

I regret to inform you that I was travelling back from Delhi to Mumbai in S2109 Jetlite flight and won a Louis Quartz Ladies Watch T083. I was very much excited about the gift. I reached Mumbai airport and asked them to handover the watch by paying Rs. 500. The following are the details of the receipt given to me:

Invoice no. 389 dated: 18/03/09

I reached home and checked the watch again and to my surprise I found that that there is a crack on the watch glass. I was really surprised and taken aback. I genuinely feel that the watch is from a very old stock and really doubt the genuinity of the same. I am a frequent flyer and if I do nto get a response on my complaint then I would believe that my doubt was right and shall never ever bid in the offer.

Please look into the above and revert back to me.

Hi All,

Thanks for your great help, I have recieved it from AVA Merchandising along with my ICICI CreditCard Statment.I have decided not to buy after going thru the comments from all of you. Thanks for the great help. I dont understand who is going to help us when well know bankers are promoting such offers.
I also purchased lois watch from AVA Merchandising Pvt. Ltd. The guarantee card is also blank. In fact one of the indicators in the watch has come out and the watch is not working. The watch was sold under a scheme and the cost carged is Rs. 590/- onl y. You must take some action in this regard. Kindly let me know if you have any authorised showroom in Delhi or anywhre in India.

I too was cheated in a similar manner by Jetlite who was offering such fraud promotions.Unfortunately i came upon this page too late.iI would definitely want to know if jetlite is still offering such promotions and making a fool of the common man.Has any action been taken? It is disgusting to know that an aircraft carrier of such repute will stoop to such low levels.
m also one of the victim of this scheme, , , jet lite +AVA DREAM MERCHANTS..or ne other promoters who are in to bluffing people must be taken to task and all the amount earned shall be refunded ...
Yes, I am also a victim. The way the Airline folks were swearing by it.. Definitely, it is a colluded deal with the Airline & AVA having a mutual understanding.
Jetlite is facing so many crisis already with their internal team, why do they promote for the external team such bad quality products and to AVA marketing. Why do we encourage such deals.
this is reference to loius quartz watches offered as free gift. One of the low cost airliners -Jet lite is has a scheme of stratch cards in the aircraft and the gift that appears after the card is stratched is offered to customers @ Rs.599/- . I purchased a louis quartz watch in this offer and as the earlier complaintent has mentioned there is no serial number or reference number mentioned in the box. This seems to be a duplicate. Other customers need to be highlighted on this
whilst on my flight from delhi to bangalore I got an offer from the jetlite flight(shop lite) to scratch and win a prize offered by AVA Merchandising Solutions Pvt Ltd. On this winning spree, my lucky scratch was for a Pearl Set with pearl watch which the AVA could not provide due to non availibility of the set and I was asked to take Louis quartz watch which is of the same cost. Later the watch was delivered with International guarantee card which was not provided with the details of the purchase date and validity of the card.
i bought this watch with a coupon offered by paramount airways. i paid Rs 600, and now after reading all the comments i feel very disappointed and cheated on. I had my doubts raised when i went to a leading watch showroom to get the strap adjusted. The service technician readily told me that the watch is not worth the money and doesn't merit a buy.
