[Resolved]  Maruti Swift Dzire — Maruti Suzuki Dzire Booking Problems

I have been trying to book a Maruti Swift Dezire VXI from the last few days, and am going through the a harrowing experience with the Dealers. I first went to Pratham Motors at Outer Ring Road to book the car. They refused to take a booking and told me that Maruti has stopped taking booking of Swift Dezire cars. When I put pressure on them they told me that they can take the booking but the delivery would take 9 months. They had 2 weeks back told me that the delivery would take 3 months, which was also long, but I was ready to accept it. But last week they told me that they would be able to deliver in 9 months. I was also surprised by their behavior.

I then called up the Maruti call center and spoke to Jiten, He told me that there was no stop from Maruti’s end on booking for Dezire and the delivery period was much earlier than 3 months. He took my mobile no. and promised me that somebody would be calling me at the earliest. But till now there is no call.

After that I spoke to multiple other dealers in Bangalore for the booking but every body was mentioning that the delivery would take 4 to 6 months. When I spoke to Mr. Anil from RNS Motors, Yesthwantapur. He told me that they could deliver the vehicle in 3 months time, I was relived and asked him to send a person to take the booking immediately. But nobody came for the booking till afternoon. Then I had to call Mr.Anil multiple times. Then at last in the evening he promised that one sales executive would reach my home late in the evening.

At last at 8 PM one Sales Executive from RNS Motors Bomanhalli reaches my home, gives me a price and tells me that there are no discounts and any freebees. I agree to the same and fill the booking form. After filling the form when I was giving him a cheque of Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, he refused to take it and said that the Booking amount for the Swift Dezire is Rs.1, 00, 000/-, which is fixed by Maruti. I asked him to show me documentation to this effect, he was unable to show any documentation. After that I spoke to the Sales Manager, of RNS Motors Bommanhalli and also with Mr. Anil from RNS Motors Yeshwantpur the accept Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, but they FLATLY REFUSED.

After that I also called the Maurti call center again and spoke to Mr. Danish, and asked him if Maruti had fixed the booking amount of Rs.1, 00, 000/- for the Swift Dezire. He told me that Maruti had not fixed any thing of this kind and he would take it up with the concerned authorities. I asked him for the phone nos. of the Regional Manager at Bangalore of his mail id. He refused to give them to me and just gave a email id [protected]@maruti.co.in.

At end of all this experiences I feel very disturbed with the way I was treated by the Maruti dealers. The attitude they have is like they have a monopoly and can take the customers for a ride. My not buying a Maruti car will not make any difference to a big company like Maruti. I just wanted to check with Maruti if this the way the want their dealers to treat customers and claim to be the Winner of J.D.Power Customer Satisfaction awards, year after year.

I had sent the entire above details to the email id provided by the call center and also put in the details in their web site. I got a reply mentioning that the complaint has been sent to the concerned department and they would get back to me. 5 days had passed and there was no reply. So I sent a reminder mail.

Some body then called from the call center and was taking the details when the line got disconnected. He did not bother to call me again after that. This is kind of service we get from the leading Car Manufacturer in India.

Same case for me. I have booked ZXI on Apr 11th and after few days, they told it will take 9 months to deliver. I was told VXI will be available within a month. After some wait, finally changed by booking to VXI. After that I am still waiting to hear from them about my delivery date confirmation.
I have booked Swift Dzire Vxi (Red) from kothari wheels, Pune on first day of its launch. I was promised to get the delivery within a month. Now its more than a month, the car is not yet delivered and they are not even commiting when it will be deliverd. What the dealer say is, there is production delay with Red color Swift Dzire Vxi for delaying the delivery. If thats the case, then how could i see red color dzires on the road? Eventhough booking the car on its first day launch, howcome the delivery is not happenning?

31/03/2008. I was promised by the dealer (VIPUL
MOTORS, NOIDA) that the delivery of the car would be
15 days. Now it has already been 33 days and I am told
that I will have to wait another 30+ days for the
delivery. Nobody from maruti udyog had the courtesy enough, despite my repeated mails to the maruti udyog top officials and also to the dealer, so as to apprise me
if there is a genuine production problem (from
Maruti Udyog) or I am just being taken for a ride
while my car must have been passed on for a premium by
the DSA or the Dealer. To hell with Maruti... i think i commited bigggeeesstttt blunder by opting for a maruti car..

MARUTI CUSTOMER CARE : A another customer harresment center operating and making BIG fool of customers.
- When you email them at [protected]@maruti.co.in you get ONLY the tracking number which is useless as you guys will never hear back from them. I am sure thats a automated response... mind that nobody listens/read your email.

- You call them with your Tracking number .. what those damm executives say we dont tell status of Tracking number on phone and email usback again. See the ISO standards... crap company .. feel like screwing them HARD.

-- I followed them with email and wrote the worst I can.. and not heard anything back from them till date... I not only wasted my time on Maruti and burnt my blood becz of these damm cheaters ...

Goingto cancell my booking today.. going for Hundai accent along with 3 other HCL guys who are too VICTIMS to this company who dont deserve to be a company anymore.

Managment is sleeping Guys ... or enjoying on LANKAWI islands.. What I feel of Managment of company is that the day should come when they want to book a BMW for himself and company says him.

well new intresting story to tell you guys and hope u will belive it . I booked swift dzire from

berkely automobiles punchkula and guess wht my borther works in this dealership i booked

swift dzire petrol in the month of march and i was told delivery time in a month my loan has

been approved i have paid 50, 000 as downpayment or wht u call booking charges and u can see

the date it s is may 4 and and look at me i still sitting with nothing in my hands and they

dont even give respect to employee's (who works on a dealer ship )and wht is going to happen

to a customer like me and now after looking at this blog my eyes have opend and i was under

a very gud impression that i will get my car in the 1 or 2 months now i feel like i have been

cheated yesterday i asked my brother that howmuch more time will this thing take and he got

a reply that was wait for 3 months more and that was like a heart attack for me i have a sick

mom who cannot walk well and i have to take her to hospital everyweek and this will be a big

pain for her as i dont have nay other car i sold offf my old car in maruti promise that il get my

new car in 1 month wht a big freaking bulder this has to be fixed so i will support you guys

and wht is this crap i have come to know that maruti is going to hike the price for dezie why

should i pay for more im a simple middel class person and they have a problem in delivery from

there end why should i paythem more i have to wait plus pay moere doesnt make sense a

best example of customer harrasment gud luck everyone and me aswell hope u and me will get

our swift dzire car before it remains as a dzire for whole life (frustrating)

I booked Swift Dzire on 29th of March, 08 by paying Rs.50, 000.00 on delivery terms of 1months with Varun motors, vishakapatnam. But now dealer is saying it will take time to deliver my car. how long i am waiting for my car?

Hi all, Im a maruti customer from past 6years and all my relatives and friends are loyal to maruti, after I saw Dzire thought of booking one but looking at the attitude of dealers in bangalore now I have a second thought of going to hyundai or tata. losing few customers will not make much of a difference to maruti but word of mouth will definitely affect.
with the kind of competition in car market in todays world maruti has taken a wrong step where customers have many other options.
Given a chance I would always prefer to remain a maruti customer but not with such attitude and bad customer experience.

The delivery time of Dzire is really disgusting especially when other companies like Hyundai, Ford n Honda are ready to deliver cars within 2 weeks that too for any color!

I booked a Dzire on April 14th in Chennai's ABT with an advance on 5K and was promised delivery on May 7th. But a week before got a letter stating that the delivery of the vehicle would take another 3-4 months!

Hope Maruti ensures that the dealers are giving a fair deal to the customers and are not playing around with the allocated cars by any chance...

Constant updates from Maruti officials [like Nitish's (nitish.[protected]@maruti.co.in) post ] helps the customers cause and if not anything else, atleast gives some confidence on Maruti...

With lots of hope I wote emails to all Maruti email id's mentioned in this website and also to "[protected]@maruti.co.in" which is the official contact email id for customers. There is no reply from these ids yet, however I received the "Can not deliver" message from the server! Looks like Maruti has changed the email id's or... simply rejecting emails!

Message received said.. " Deferred: Connection timed out with mulgw.maruti.co.in.
Message could not be delivered for 3 days Message will be deleted from queue"
Well guys ... i am just abt to right the same stuff but i am really pissed off the way Maruti is handling their customers. I had the same harrowing time since March 30th when I went for booking Swift Dzire VXi (Beige Color).
I enquired at 5-6 dealerships in South Delhi at that time and all of them were giving waiting period of atleast 3-4 months.
Finally, I was able to find a dealer M/s APRA Autos in Mahipalpur which promised the delivery within 1 month. I happily booked the car there and then and gave an adavance amount of Rs. 10, 000 to secure my booking.
I was told at that time that mine was among the first bookings done for petrol models by the dealership.
But since then there is no answer or confirmation regarding the delivery either from the dealer or from Maruti. Repeated calls to the Sales Agent fetches you the same answer that there are no cars coming from factory for the past 15-16 days and at the moment they cant do anything but wait. I am just bucked up listening to such frustating excuses again and again.

I ask the Maruti people that is this a way the customer is treated? Dealer or Maruti even doesn't have a courtsey to call up and keep their customers updated about the status in case of delays or problems. At the end of it, it is the customers who are at the receiving end.

After going through all this and I dont know for how much time more till the car is delivered, my trust on Maruti has really shaken up. After going through such a pathetic Customer Service, I seriously have reservations going with Maruti Cars again even if the product is good.
You know something guys, the problem is we want to buy dzire. And if you ask me, how i want to protest---- simply DO NOT BUY IT even more tell everyone you know DO NOT GO FOR Dzire. let maruti people use those cars.

A genuine request please lets all cancel the BOOKING of the DAMN car to teach Maruti a LESSON they WONT FORGET for life. Let them produce more cars and let there be no one to buy them. If Maruti SUCKS Mahindra does BIG TIME. I am trying to get a test drive of LOGAN petrol for past 6 weeks but the dealer is not even in a position to send the car to me. I must have called at least 15 times but always the same answer "OUR SALES EXECUTIVE WILL GET BACK TO YOU SIR, AT PRESENT THE CAR HAS GONE FOR SERVICING OR MET WITH AN ACCIDENT"...the dealer is the GREAT — GLOBAL GALLERIE, THANE...

Lets ALL buy a better mileage small car...good on economy and easy parking!!!
In case one still wants to buy a mid size car ACCENT GLE is a good option priced @ 5.5 lakhs ex-showroon THANE is a much better option than a third grade SWIFT DEZIRE...which I m sure none o[censored]s desire any more...

I am from Bhubaneswar. I had booked a Maruti Swift Dzire VXI Model (Clear Beige color) on the 10th of April. I was told that if I paid the full amount then I would get the vehicle by the 17th of April. So I had paid the full amount of Rs 526, 000.Intrestingly this assurance was given by Maruti Officials in the sales division. But that date seems to be going further and further away. At this present moment i am told that I would get the vehicle only by 25th May. When i read what other people are facing its makes me sure that maruti is taking us for a ride. The toll free number is the a waste so is the customer care. Even the top managers here are unable to give a correct answer. I am thinking of taking maruti to the court and suing maruti for mental agony and torture. After reading about ur cases i feel that Maruti will pay through the nose if we all file the case. I am also sending this request to CNN IBN News Channel. Its High time this should be made public.
Do tell me as to what I am planning to do is right or wrong.

You guys are only dilluting the brand loyalty - which Maruti had created in last so many years, today customer has so many options avaialble with them, that no one will stick around with Maruti Brand name any longer...

With this fiasco of Dzire... believe you me, you will not get these valuable customers back.. I myself has been driving maruti for last 7 years now & had booked Dezire on the day 4 of launch, moreover the dealer took my existing maruti car under exchange scheme & for the last 2 months now i am without a car.

Thanks to you guys, finally i have decided to move on to other brands avaialble in the market & for future will surely think twice about buying a maruti brand & also try to convience as many people possible not to go for Maruti any more...

You might recollect that my husband had met you in your office on 27th april 08 in connection with the delay in delivery of Dzire vxi(booking no.0895-D-L00024).You were kind enough to assure that you will look into the matter and requested to be contacted after 2nd may 08 . In spite of repeated efforts, we have not been able to contact you, as we are invariably told by the receptionist that you are out on dealer visit.The vehicle was booked by me on 30th march 08.Though I have made full payment for the vehicle amounting to Rs.5, 26, 495(excluding insurance) to your dealer competent automobiles on 11.4.08 and the amount has been debited to my account on 15.4.08 yet the delivery is not being made to me in spite of repeated visits contrary to the assurance that was made at the time of payment that the delivery shall be made a soon as the full cost of the vehicle is credited to their account.
You are therefore requested to look into the matter so that I am not put to any more inconvenience and harassment by the dealer.

Booked a dzire Vxi on 29th March... and yet have no committed date. Dealer says I am welcome to do whatever I want and he would be glad to cancel my booking as he is helpless and has no role to play.

Wonder how the hell is Maruti Suzuki surviving in these times. I really must say they have very poor competitors who still can't seem to get their own act together.
I would have gone for any other car had I had a similar option.

Maruti has a good product.. but is the pits in terms of handling customers ... wonder how they still manage to win customer service awards. Pre-sales is really bad.

Can't figure out what should I do ???
