[Resolved]  Maruti Swift Dzire — Maruti Suzuki Dzire Booking Problems

I have been trying to book a Maruti Swift Dezire VXI from the last few days, and am going through the a harrowing experience with the Dealers. I first went to Pratham Motors at Outer Ring Road to book the car. They refused to take a booking and told me that Maruti has stopped taking booking of Swift Dezire cars. When I put pressure on them they told me that they can take the booking but the delivery would take 9 months. They had 2 weeks back told me that the delivery would take 3 months, which was also long, but I was ready to accept it. But last week they told me that they would be able to deliver in 9 months. I was also surprised by their behavior.

I then called up the Maruti call center and spoke to Jiten, He told me that there was no stop from Maruti’s end on booking for Dezire and the delivery period was much earlier than 3 months. He took my mobile no. and promised me that somebody would be calling me at the earliest. But till now there is no call.

After that I spoke to multiple other dealers in Bangalore for the booking but every body was mentioning that the delivery would take 4 to 6 months. When I spoke to Mr. Anil from RNS Motors, Yesthwantapur. He told me that they could deliver the vehicle in 3 months time, I was relived and asked him to send a person to take the booking immediately. But nobody came for the booking till afternoon. Then I had to call Mr.Anil multiple times. Then at last in the evening he promised that one sales executive would reach my home late in the evening.

At last at 8 PM one Sales Executive from RNS Motors Bomanhalli reaches my home, gives me a price and tells me that there are no discounts and any freebees. I agree to the same and fill the booking form. After filling the form when I was giving him a cheque of Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, he refused to take it and said that the Booking amount for the Swift Dezire is Rs.1, 00, 000/-, which is fixed by Maruti. I asked him to show me documentation to this effect, he was unable to show any documentation. After that I spoke to the Sales Manager, of RNS Motors Bommanhalli and also with Mr. Anil from RNS Motors Yeshwantpur the accept Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, but they FLATLY REFUSED.

After that I also called the Maurti call center again and spoke to Mr. Danish, and asked him if Maruti had fixed the booking amount of Rs.1, 00, 000/- for the Swift Dezire. He told me that Maruti had not fixed any thing of this kind and he would take it up with the concerned authorities. I asked him for the phone nos. of the Regional Manager at Bangalore of his mail id. He refused to give them to me and just gave a email id [protected]@maruti.co.in.

At end of all this experiences I feel very disturbed with the way I was treated by the Maruti dealers. The attitude they have is like they have a monopoly and can take the customers for a ride. My not buying a Maruti car will not make any difference to a big company like Maruti. I just wanted to check with Maruti if this the way the want their dealers to treat customers and claim to be the Winner of J.D.Power Customer Satisfaction awards, year after year.

I had sent the entire above details to the email id provided by the call center and also put in the details in their web site. I got a reply mentioning that the complaint has been sent to the concerned department and they would get back to me. 5 days had passed and there was no reply. So I sent a reminder mail.

Some body then called from the call center and was taking the details when the line got disconnected. He did not bother to call me again after that. This is kind of service we get from the leading Car Manufacturer in India.

I don't think there is a technical problem with the car or atleast people who got the car are not complaining anything about the car...

If you look at the site : http://www.mouthshut.com/product-reviews/Maruti_Swift_Dzire[protected].html, People who got the car delivered are not complaining really...:-)...

I think the real problem is with maruti and with it's unethical practices...Even if few people cancel the booking it's not going to make any difference...Does anyone of you have any media contact who can being this issue into public?
now this is absolutee unfairrr i have booked maruti swift dzire more then 2 months i have already placed my compaint on this website i think maruti is shame less they dont even think of replaying to the cust mails now i got a call from the sales dealer that the swift prices have been increased wht is this ?????? and he is syaign that i would have to pay with the new prices this is unacceptable wht is this crap this delay is from you side i booked the card witht he prices that were givent om e earlier and now u guys are low on producttion i have to wait for the car and now pay more money bulllshit u ppl are earning intrest on my money that i have given u for booking and now ur asking me to pay more will some one tell me is this true or not i really need a reply from u guys if no one hears my request here i will file a case int he cousr again maruti

Today I had decided that I would not wait fot 6 months for the Maruti Dzire and cancel the booking.The dealer now tells that they will take 15 days to give my payment back and there will be some cancellation fees.This is simply ridiculuos, tif he customer wants to cancel the car then you harrass him, if he tells you to deliver then you tell him its 6 months, then you also tell him to bear the increase in cost after booking the car...C'mon Maruti and its dealers do you think that the customers are on your mercy?
Guys let us take some stern action against Maruti, let us publish this blog in all the local newspapers like MidDay, Mumbai Mirror and others in each city and state.Also give it to India TV as they are always looking to help people by presenting BREAKING NEWS...Does anyone have contacts in the Media?Let us start finding out our contacts in the media and teach Maruti and its dealers a lesson..

I have even sent a mail to the Chairman of Maruti Suzuki, Mr. R.C.Bhargava (rc.[protected]@maruti.co.in), but there is no response. It seems Maruti is had decided not to react to all the complaints mail sent by the customers. THEY DONT CARE... THAT IS THE ATITUDE OF MARUTI AND ITS DEALERS.

It looks like they even bribed the media, that is why no media is carrying any story of this issue.

yes i too heard dzire is having some problem with
back shock absorbers and maruti is not supplying any cars to dealers currently.
even to cars they have already delivered they are planning to fix this issue.

I have booked my dzire at bangalore. rediculously i am getting call from maruti people
and i lift the phone it plays the Zen Estilo song ("little boxes little boxes...) they are playing this gimminck they wanted to promote zen estilo to customers who have booked the dzire.

its all sales persons trick they have collected my number and every day i am getting call and
its plays zen estilo song. if it continues i am planning to drag maruti to court, as alreay i am in very angry with the maruti as how it handled the delivery of the dzire. waiting they say
2months, 3 months 6 months, 1 year, ...i don't know what will this waiting period.
What is happening with Maruti??
Booked my dzire VXI on April 19(ABT Chennai), a month back but no reponse from maruti people.Dunno how come they taking customers in their hand. Paid 50k for booking.
Having competiors like Hyundai, Ford and Mahindra these maruti ppl are damn cool..They think as if they giving free cars to customers.Its not fair to make ur customers wait for such a long time by giving lame excuses, dunno how come maruti has won those customer Satisfaction awards??
Plz ensure tat u give timely delivery of cars to ur customers else ppl wil move towards better competiors like ford and hyundai.
Be transparent when u take a booking.

Lets fight togeather and teach MUL a lesson, forget if we do not get the car we would have better options and what ever happens it happens good. I leart from the internal sources of MUL that the design of Dzire has critical problems on ventilation, and the chassi is not good enough for the sedan model, Infact they have not changed the chassi or the shocks of swift and dzire MUL have some how got the approval for the design and started the production at this point of time they cannot accept there mistake so they are making all these supply and demand dramas. God save the customers who have brought the first cars. I think we need to wait for some more time to take a proper review on this car and put our hard earned money

I booked a white dzire zdi on 7 April at saya automobiles in delhi and the dealer promised me a delivery time of 4 weeks but till date he is saying that it will take one more month atleast. This is very harrasing. Maruti is clearly playing games. Let's fight them.

I have booked Swift Dzire vdi in the name of Mr. Ganga Ram Raghuvanshi on 28.03.08 from Patel Motors (Indore) Pvt. Ltd. and I was promised that the car will be delivered to me with in a month, but on 25.04.08 when I contacted to the dealer then they said that i have to wait for at least four months more. Dealer had not given wait list number on demand and not willing to give any information related to booking, such act of dealer is giving hint that their is fraud in booking and they are selling cars on premium.

you are rigth i too booked dzire at RNS Motors and getting a blank call with song "little boxes little boxes..." of zen estilo.
i think we need to drag and kick maruti for the unethical way of handling customers. they are not giving proper delilvery and now
call on my home telephone and harashing the customers with playing "little boxs"

The news is out and fraud is complete. MSIL increased prices ranging from Rs.1, 000 onwards. Highest price hike of Rs.18, 000 is reserved for Swift Dzire. Here is the game; MSIL launches the car at an "introductory" price, have all and sundary book the car, including like me, in fact I am the bigger because mine is the first booking in 2nd largest town of Karnataka, then they don't deliver even one car (I am still waiting) and now they take back that introductory price and here you get the book in you bum. I am waiting for decent options to kick Maruti cars out of my parking lot. Shame.
And mind you, the highest price rise is reserved for Swift Dzire (Rs.18, 000). Even bigger car SX4 hike is limited to Rs.9, 000. And Vitar price rise = 0 because it doesn't sell. What a dirty game by MSIL. I feel shameful that I remained loyal to this company with 7 cars in last 7 years.
It's not actually 18, 000 as they published in the news paper...It's around 24, 000 for VXI...Earlier it used to be 4.78 lakhs and now it is 5.02 lakhs...This is some serious bull ...

Booked Maruti Dzire on 30/03/2008.
The car price is shooting up by Rs 18000/-.
I feel I cannot stretch my budget, and wait for it for another few months.
Other manufacturers are going to follow Maruti, hiking price by month end.
Can anyone recommend any other car in the similar league.
I have certain choices but have certain reservations,
Hyundai Accent: Likely to be phased out...
Indigo CS: Good car but Tata always have some nagging problems...
Aveo: A little too expensive...
Ikon:Too outdated...
Logan (Petrol): Takes time to pick up and you find yourself dragging thru the traffic while others zap past you...
Verna, Fiesta & Others too expensive..

At least i am canceling my booking because its not VFM even if it is its not good to MSIL
to hike price like this.

Ya..Even i have cancelled my booking(VXI)..Planning to go for Hyundai Accent GLE.
Maruti is ZERO in customer satisfaction and delivery.Let they themselves drive their dzires.
Their motive is to promote SX4.Let them do some nonsense, am least bothered.
Hyundai Accent is awesome when compared to maruti products.
Yup... Can't keep waiting for ever!

Hyundai Accent is a godo choice if you are looking for an alternate around the same price-range of Dzire.

Thought people say Accent wud be phased out, still its the best in its category in terms of looks, style and track-record! And Accent advertisements are back again proving that Hyundai is very much in the race for entry level Sedan with its successful Accent...

Dear All,

The patna ICICI Main Branch, Exibition Road do not have a land line number even the Manager.They all have their personal mobile number, that is for thier personal use they don't give the mobiles number to any one.Just imagine Bank without any contact numbers.
