    Dear Friends,

Please view this case of high headiness of the authorities the wrong-information was provided to the LG office and wrong order being passed and net result a digging up of parking lot provided by the DDA to the shops at Fly Over Market Defence Colony New Delhi.

The wrong information was passed to the LG office that some encroachment has been done at the above mentioned market as parking lot. MCD was given orders to demolish the parking lot provided to the shop under the Fly Over and without verification MCD dug up the whole parking space and uprooted fully grown up trees and plants.

The cars are being parked right on the road instead of in the parking lot.
Will the authorities wake up and see what have they done instead beautification of this market for the games they have destroyed the market parking lot provided by the DDA and are instrumental in forcing the cars to be parked on the road.
    Please see the pictures.

          illegal construction
          Sir,
I'm resident of mayur vihar-III, there is illegal construction carried out by 2 ground floor flat owners 39 & 40 Pocket A-2, of that area these people have illegallay captuted entire full space behind there house blocking the entire street which is made for all local residence for moving here and there, Due to that all residents of that line(which are mostly old people and tenants) have to forcably used the front road which always busy due to heavy flow of traffic to enter their flats.More over children of near by residents can not play in the back street which is coverd by iron sheets by these people.Inspite of so many complains against them no any action has been taken so far.It seems that these people have strong political influence as in entire whole block no one have dared to capture full space behind their houses that whole street is blocked.
I request you to take neccessary action against these flat owners who have the made the life misrable for the other residents as well as other local public to not allowing to use the street which is a govt land.

            To,
            The Additional Commissioner (MCD),

            Sir,
This is to bring to your notice that the storm water pipe behind A1/13, SFS DDA Flats, Panchsheel, New Delhi – 17, has been getting blocked every 3-4 months since 1996. We have been complaining to the relevant department of MCD but each time they do a temporary job. The situation has become worse since last one year and the condition has detoriated further, as some of the neighbours are discharging their sewage water into the storm water pipes. The sewage water has collected and has caused unhygienic conditions, breeding of mosquitoes, seepage into the neighbouring houses and foul smell. The MCD Authorities have come to the area on a number of occasions and have opined that the pipes need to be changed but nothing has been done to this effect, till date. The situation has now become very grave as one of our family members has been detected with dengue. You are requested to take action immediately; else I’ll be forced to resort to seek remedy under the law and also invite the media to look at the situation.

                      Dear Sir,
Let me give us our brief introduction as manufacturer & exporter of Silver jewelery from last 2 decades located in Special Economic Zone, Noida (U.P).

The name of our company from Divay Jewellers Pvt.Ltd. has been changed to Sterling Ornaments Pvt.Ltd.in 2006.

Two months ago we received demand notice from Municipal corporation of Delhi asking us to pay fine against the hoarding displayed at South extension part-I without their prior permission.

On receipt of thier notice we personally visited their office at Kashmere gate and met the concerned commercial officer Mr.Ashok Bhardwaj on 29/04/2010 and who is not all interested to listen and asked us to submit the response and they will look into the matter

In spite of various mail and clarification given to MCD they harrassed us by sending notices and mails asking us to pay penalty nor they will take legal action against us. The hoarding does not belong to us then why shall be pay fine or penalty.

At last we investigated the matter and visited the site and really shocked the way MCD official works even without knowing the facts and truth harrassed the inonocent people. During investigation we found that there is a ship in the name of Divya Jewel at South Ex and the hoarding which was in the name of Divya Jewel was on the same building and we are attaching picture just for your reference.

You can see how the top official works and harrass the people but there is no action against them

                      Thanks
                      Manoj Chopra

                      Sterling R.O. — Stray Dogs

I am a resident od A-309, Derawala Nagar, Delhi 110009. The neighbourhood including our family are really disturbed by the situation of stray dogs. One might not believe but there are about 25 dogs - all in the radius of 10 metres and they cause a lot of problems for passer-bys and the residents. I request the concerned authorities to take action.

I really do not know how this complaint forum works. But if there is anyone who can give me advice on how to deal with this menace it will be really awesome.

                      Hoardings — Hoardings on Roads

There is a lot of hordings put on the road. The people want to show their power and nothing. Two months ago they have made a permanant gate (steel pipes) on the common road and put their hordings with all the photographs of their uniity without asking anyone who stays in this area.

I personnaly request please look into this.

                          Sir/Madam,

I am the resident of H.No.178, Double Storey, Harijan Colony, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi - 110018. I and people of my colony are facing huge encroachment on parks, roads, nearby houses, roofs in the locality. Due to this anti-social elements increased in numbers in the colony. The rent mafia is doing all these enroachments. Due to the dalit basti, any Government authority is not looking in the matter and ignoring from the past many years. This cause many enroachment in parks by many people who have made many beras, houses in the park for dirty animals like pigs, dogs, hens, buffalo, etc.. This cause dirty smells, dirty muds in the park and this cause made the park big dustbin. Roads area also covered by illegal houses and even a car can not pass from the road where in past three cars can pass from the same road.

We hope that responsible authorities may made this nonsense in a better way enabling most eco friendly environment in the dalit basti.

                          Waiting for positive response

I would like to bring into your kind notice the nuisance created by stray dogs in our Apartment.

There is Circle of Animal Lovers organization office in our colony and some of the dogs are roaming around freely in our society. This has put the safety of residents at high risk and it has become very difficult for them to step out of their houses after sunset.

The dogs would bark at and follow people who dare to step out of their house in evening and this has created lot of problem for the members of the society.

I on behalf of the residents of Ekta Apartments, Saket request you to kindly check the menace of stray dogs in our society and provide the much needed relief to the residents.

                                Thanks

                                Regards,

                                  Sir,
The rich and the powerful in Delhi’s affluent residential colonies have with impunity curved out a very substantial part open space meant for the citizens by encroaching upon the footpaths and road space to accommodate their large fleet of cars and, in the name of ‘residents’ welfare associations’, exclusive and fairly commodious ‘security huts’, and all ostensibly for free.

In one of the ethnically exclusive colonies of South Delhi, some people have even gone out of the way to cover the roads/freeways (footpaths) by extending their gates to such an extent that the passersby and pedestrians must walk on the available road space, being deprived of their fundamental right to the use of footpaths endangering their safety.
Quite a few, more powerful and influential than their neighbours, have even beautified the available public space meant for pedestrians by putting ornamental plants and posting their liveried security staff, with their own private guard rooms, by totally ignoring the civic rights of their poorer fellow citizens. And, not only that, their unlimited large fleet of huge imported-costliest-glittering cars most audaciously hinder the pedestrians’ right of free passage by being parked on all sides/spaces-outside the gate, footpaths, roadspace, etc.

And, on top of all this, their uniformed security brigade even have the freedom, temerity and audacity of totally stopping the traffic each time any of the residents in these sprawling and huge houses (in a colony meant for refugees!) leave or arrive at their castles.
The most hilarious part of this is the show of authority twice everyday when the ceremony of “change of guard” of the security detail takes place on the roadspace outside these citadels of power. Even for the President of India, this ceremonial ritual is done inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises. And, as far as one knows, the MCD or the DDA allow these facilities and privileges for free.

Is it permissible to wonder as to why the less privileged rate payers must as beasts of burden be compelled to suffer this ignominy and inconvenience while parking space, space for "security huts" and exclusive privilege of secured right of way on public roads would be made available to these rich and powerful in the ex-refugees’ settlements at the cost of the common public at large?

And, why must the latter bear the cost of these freebies?

This was indeed a very long awaited move by someone to voice the common public's anguish and resentment in this regard. While there is no doubt the the newspaper will neve publish this letter, at least a consumer activist group or a civil rights group can take up this issue through a much larger platform with the authorities, by way of empowering the ignorant mass of poor citizens of Delhi. Yes, it is indeed true that, in a very prosperous purportedly resettlement enclave for the refugees in south Delhi, a cultural hub of an ethnic group, to whom land was allotted at concessional rates almost tantamounting to free of cost, the naked show of money power has become a most irritating civil issue and this may cause serious disturbances later. A very large part of the free space, road space and footpaths has been simply "acquired" and "forcibly occupied" at will by these influential forces and, that too, not only in the name of their Residents' Welfare Associations (regulating entry/exits into/from these enclosed foefdoms but also "regulating" traffic-all in the name of "security". And, in addition, there is rampant and naked occupation of public land by these people to beautify the surroundings of these ex-refugees' palatial properties and to park their numerous vehicles as well as private security huts outside their own gateways. It is not known if additional municipal taxes are collected from these people who clearly claim and show their privileged status of being more equal than the others.

Is there any way of fighting this menace which resembles the fight against the Maoists?
I have seen the posts. Will the authorities take action? Will the newspaper print the letter to the editor? A big NO. In India, equality is a misnomer. Rich people's children feign socialist and ultra-Left orientation for mileage and for enjoying the pervert pleasure of comfortably watching the gradual extinction of the poor aught in the crossfire of the Maoists and the government security forces-the ultimate goal of the rich and their children who are easily and traditionally acceptable by the gullible public in the role of communist messiahs because of our feudal past.

It is futile and dangerous to wage even a campaign against these white collared, privileged class o[censored]rban rich with their private security to protect them. And it is immoral and inequitable to blame Mayavati alone for exhibiting publicly her wealth, however acquired, since we really are not privy to the source of the wealth and influence of the class of people who are the subject matter of this thread of complaint and discussion.

The Indian people have lost-not because of this class which also is the ruling elite, but entirely because of the fundamentally dishonest and surrogate pseudo-left, of all colours. Since the object is money and political power, as usual.
We would like to know from this site administrator the reply if any received from the MCD on this complaint and also the action started by the MCD. As far as we know, MCD does not care for such grievances and complaints-and, in fact, if anyone is audacious enough to pursue such a path by repeatedly making complaints, the officers and staff of the MCD do not hesitate "to teach a lesson" to the delinquent tax payer. And the MCD Commissioner NEVER responds to any letter or email as he belongs to the IAS. This is the tradition-whether the MCD is in the hands of the Congress or the BJP!

Is it not possible for the Consumercomplaints.in to forward copies of similar complaints and grievances to the MCD and insist upon a response/reply? That will be a great gesture.
Another thing which must be considered and publicised is the restriction by the residents of tiny enclaves within the same locality on the free movement of citizens (including neighbours) by unilateral erection of steel gates and keeping these closed most of the time, all in the name of "security" and thus infringing on the civic rights of fellow citizens. This ostensibly happens with the support of the authorities. Under which Act of Parliament or Article of the Constitution such infringements take place and are being encouraged is not known. What is strange is that, if a neighbour wants to visit his next door neighbour, he has to go all the way round and round to reach his destination as there might be a steel gate erected between his house and that of his next door neighbour! This is a representative picture of a predominantly Refugee resettlement colony in Delhi-the CR Park. It is sad that these gates compel poor Postmen, courier delivery men, vegetable vendors and first-time visitors to wander and hunt for the addresses. We have so many Human Rights bodies, Civil Liberties organisations, etc. who are fighting for the Maoists, the Kasabs, the Afzal Gurus-but is there nobody to protest against the above said instances of disregarding civic rights?

                                  In The Statesman,[protected]

                                  "Rich encroachers
SIR, ~ The rich and the powerful in Delhi’s affluent residential areas have carved out a substantial part of the open space in front of their houses for themselves. They have encroached onto the pavements and roadspace to park their cars. In the name of ‘residents’ welfare associations’, exclusive and fairly commodious ‘security huts’ have come up.
In one of the ethnically exclusive areas of South Delhi, some people have even extended the gates of their houses to cover the pavements. This leaves little or no space for pedestrians to walk. Others have laid out gardens on the roadspace meant for pedestrians. They have even posted liveried security staff who have the temerity to stop the traffic each time any of the residents leave or arrive. This entire area was originally conceived to rehabilitate those who had come over from East Bengal, post-Partition.
In effect, the civic rights of the people are ignored. It is the less-privileged tax-payers who have to suffer. The MCD and the DDA seem to be totally unconcerned.
                                  ;Yours, etc., TDS,
                                  New Delhi, 17 May"
This is a very common feature all over in Delhi, in every residential colony, especially in the affluent pockets of the colonies and the exclusive enclaves of the powerful and wealthy people. These include not only politicians', but also retired civil servants' very influential (page-3) people's protected monuments. For all these people, private security co. people stop the traffic flow with impunity several times every day, even during peak traffic hours. Because their cars must have right of way over others'. And the entire foot path in front or on all sides of the heavily guarded properties are littered with their numerous vehicles, security men, security huts, etc. As a result, pedestrians including school going children are compelled to walk on the roads-at full risk to their safety.

Whether these people pay extra and additional taxes to the MCD/NDMC/DDA for this (forcible and illegal ?) occupation of the space meant for all, is not clear. At least, the authorities have never been seen to take any action in this regard, at least for show even. There is one particular property in a South Delhi colony where the roads are not wide at all. Opposite this house also there is a very huge property and both are said to be owned by one person/family with tremendous clout. The entire road in front of these two properties is used as car parking lot by the owner, and the remaining open publis space is entirely occupied by the several security staffs, his menials and security cottage. There is indeed not even walking space on the footpaths around the citadel like house for even a stray dog. And this is merely one/two of such properties in the same locality.

I was myself going to write about this when I saw the first entry on this subject and I felt some release of my pent up frustration. And, I am sure, the newspaper to whom the first grievance was addressed has not and is never going to publish that letter. But, there is at least one forum where we can vent our problems/grievances about which our civic authorities do not care.

They cannot be blamed also, since they are neither allowed the time nor the encouragement to really care for common people. In fact, the commoners must suffer to enable the superior fellow citizens to live in comfort. After all, it is ultimately a question of money power.
The right example of the shameless human rights violation is the House of a VIP at 1451 in Chittaranjan Park in Kalkaji, New Delhi 19. The footpath, the thoroughfare, the opposite building, the footpath of this house-all are fully occupied by the very influential owner's foreign vehicles. The helpless old people and children cannot walk in front of these buildings and his security forcibly push people found meeting others and talking to each other and even staring at the gate with a very large insignia. Yes, the change of guard of the security of this house owner is a very big show, like Rashtrapati Bhawan, stopping all traffic on all sides. Everybody says that the owner runs a university and the IAS/IPS officers' children study free of cost there while the ordinary people have to pay 15 lakhs. That is why MCD and Police also keep distance from this house. But there are too many houses like this in this Bengali colony.
I have been following this topic with keen interest. Will someone please inform us as to the result of these grievances and if ever any authority or company has responded to the posts on this splendid website ? Has the MCD cared to reply? Has this site's administrator taken pains and courage to forward these to the MCD?

THIS has been brought to the notice of the sanitary Inspector of the area in person but it appears that he is awfully busy in some other assignments and hence, this forum has been used to draw the attention of the concerned authorities.

In the interest of the public, this communication has been made, with a HOPE and TRUST, that remedial measures will be taken immediately

As a watchdog, the residents are ready to keep a track of the attendence of the concerned karamchari and her immediate boss with the spirit of Delhi Govt BHAGIDARI SYSTEM WITH AN EXPECTATION THAT MCD officials will also reciprocate and respond in the same spirit

MCD deptt must evolve a system of giving complaint no to the complainant so that the status of complaint could be ascertained.. There must also be time frame of attending the complaint, failing which next higher-up should be informed automatically. It appears that this SITE OF REGISTERING THE COMPLAINTS IS AN EYE-WASH AS IT SANS ALL THOSE FEATURES WHICH A REDRESSAL MECHANISM MUST HAVE.
Moreover, MCD should also have the courtesy of acknowledging the complaint. Hope wise counsel shall prevail on the concerned authorities

MCD safai karamchari — No safai karmachari works in the street

In street No.2 laxman park, chander nagar, no safai karnchari works..At many spots in the steet, the titter is lying for so many days..but nobody works for it...
one lady sweeper has been posted for the sweeping of the lanes no. 18, New Mahavir Nagar, New Delhi - 110018 but she sweeps twice a week.
MCD Department must be open his eyes now because it is very shameless thing after complaint to Mr. AZAD SINGH the counceller MCD so many times about the absence of the sweepers in the locality Do-plan in Tikri kalan village no body come to see the site and his office assistant Mr.Rambir Chikkara gives no response from a long time. And I thought due no response Mr. AZAD SINGH have to left their seat if they cannot hear the cry of the Tikri Kalan Village people.
I hope the councel shall take a stern action against the sweeper & J.E. of the area and the concerned authority.
