MCD — encroachment of roads

I am a resident of New Friends Colony, New Delhi. All the approach roads into the colony are heavily encroached by rehris, rickshaws, pavement vendors, 3 wheelers, unauthorized taxi stands, leaving hardly any space for residents to drive through. The parks surrounding the colony are in a neglected state and have become garbage dumps and taxi truck stands. There is complete apathy on the part of MCD officials. Could you kindly guide me as to how and whom I should approach.

In and around GK-1 [N & B Block], many cars occupy parking space for years as they are non functional and the owner just keeps it there parked as if it is an open air museam. Send a team, they will be able to study the duration of parking, instruct them to take a photograph, watch the vehicle for a month and then find the owner and request him to vacant the space as it belongs to the authority and that is MCD. Do something as population of automobiles is growing every day as the population of our country. If you reply to this mail, I can send you photograph of the site. Many residents keep rocks and potted plants to block the parking, which is not fair by occupants of the block.

The crossing of Mandoli Road and 100 feet road i.e., Nathu Colony Chowk (Nand Nagari Area). The shopkeers and business men of Mandoli Road and 100 feet road (adjacent to Nathu Colony Chowk) have encroached the footpaths (even have made pakka structures) and road(s) even more than ten feet both sides. The general public is hence forced to walk just middle of the road taking risk of accident, injusry and life. But no government agency is taking care of it. These agencies are just involved in collrecting money and sleep. Please take care of it.

MCD Park — Encroachment of MCD Park by Garbage workers.

This park is on the main Najafgarh road in Ramesh Nagar, metro pillar number 343. The garbage from the houses first comes to this park, different sustances are seperated by the workers, and then sent to the koode daan. The whole park is used as a working area by the garbage workers. The residents often complaint about the intolerable smell, but no action is taken against them. The life of the people around this park has become miserable as there health is at stake. I would be very thankful if this would be taken care of. I am a resident of A-61 Ramesh Nagar ,Double Storey which is right in front of this park.

MCD Complaints — SEWAGE PROBLEM from 1st Nov'2010

Sir,

I am the residence of SG Pocket in Dilshad Garden. From the last one month we are facing problem of STREET SEWERAGE over flow. We have already been spent around 1000 rupees to different local / private sweapers to clearn our private sever (toilet area). Again and again after 2-3 days of such cleanliness, the toilet pot was jammed again. Then we gone to our area MCD office in Pocket I, Dilshad Garden, there a lady sitting said that we will send somebody to clean up the same and did not received our request application. Several times we complaint the same issue to our RWA. These (RWA) people are totally depend on political parties and said " Hum phone karwa denge aapka kaam ho jayega). We do not have any option but to wait to solve our problem by such slow Govt. employees. Now you advise us, where do we go?

I request you to take strong action against such slow departments.

since that day the mud put in front of mine house and on roads, no body come to take off that mud as well as nobody clean the roads too.
Then why the MCD pay full month salary to them or those sweepers whom on duty in this area and not clean the roads or say not on duty and get the free full salary.
Why?

Our sewer have been blocked as the authorities have not connected our sewer line to the main gutters of MCD beacuse of that our sewer has started floating...

Dear Sir,
I am a resident of H-16 Near Sahab Masjid, Batla House, Jamia Nagar, Okhla New Delhi 110025 and inform you that the Sewer Lines outside of our houses have been overflowing for last two months but even after repeated complaints to local authorities, there has been no action taken to correct these Sewers. The dirty water from the Sewers keeps coming out of them and has made the whole road/street in front of our houses smelling foul. The condition of Sewers in our street are worst than the worst. These Sewers are always filled up and coming out all the time in front of our houses and we don’t get a space to step out and the neighbors residing in H Block have been facing lot of problems since September 2008.

I request salt out these Sewers problem as early as possible, so that we can keep save from upcoming dieses from this area.

MCD Sewage blockage removal staff have got 'couldn't care less' high degree attitude that they are not concerned about anybody's problem due to sewage blockage. Myself (66 yrs.) and my wife (63 yrs.) stay alone in N-73 Kirti Nagar, New Delhi 110015. We were having problem of sewage blockage, visited the MCD office for the complaint. Two members came, after having made 4 trips to the office), removed the sewage covers and discovered that both sewages were full with dry mud (mitti). There was no outlet for any sewage from the house as a result our toilets and other outlets got completely choked and started overflowing. MCD sewage officials said that they will inform about the status about the mud in the sewage and other team will come to remove the same which may take 2-3 days/one week or even longer depending upon the availability of the staff. They were completely not concerned about our helplessness of not able to use the toilet at all. I want to throw light on one of the major civic problems being faced by our colony Uday Chand Marg, Kotla Mubarakpur, Delhi 110003 .Since last several years this problem has surfaced in my area which is leading to a messy situation in the area with lots of diseases .Sewerage situation in the area is too bad that even standing in the Uday chand marg lane is very difficult .This lane is home to several diseases where currently it is very difficult to even breathe .I visited the lane yesterday 24/08/2009 and took some videos to show one of the major areas in our vicinity .



Since this place is merely 1.5 -2 kms away from Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium and Thyagraj stadium where commonwealth games are going to happen next year .

Situation in the area is so worse that old senior citizens have fallen and broken their bones in the lane due to excessive water logging and poor drainage system .We have sent several complaints in the past to Delhi Jal Board and local authorities but no one in the area is able to listen and not even a single action took place .



There is a major risk of Malaria, Cholera, Tuberculosis and Swine flu like diseases .Womens and childrens cant even walk in their own lane due to the risk of diseases .

Several people in the past have been admitted to AIIMS and Safderjung hospital due to Illness and diseases .



The sewer line in the area is choked which doesn’t allow water to flow away, thanks to poor drainage system which amounts to the trouble .We have sent several complaints and applications in the past to various authorities with no avail as such .


We are followers of congress party since last 50 years as this area is under the name of my great grandfather .With kind of faith and trust we put into the party we want justice to our woes as living in the area like Uday chand marg is like hell .Residents o[censored]day Chand Marg don’t understand why there is a discrimination against their colony when sewerage line of all other nearby areas like Arjun Nagar, Wazir Nagar and Gurudwara Road are completely changed .



This area is one of the major localities of South Delhi, within close vicinity of South extension part 1, Defence Colony, AIIMS, Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium and Asiad Village .





Even water coming in the taps is full of dirt and waste material . people are forced to drink that which leads to several deaths .Delhi Jal board has so far not taken any kind of action with several complaints in the past .I have personally been ill for last so many days due to viral fever due to sewerage .Me being a senior citizen is now experiencing all kinds of troubles at this age .Ladies and old people in the area are unable to even walk down the lane .



Our relatives cant even visit our home due to this watery mess and last week one of my friends daughter who stays in nearby house, who is married came here with her children and due to poor road and sewerage condition, her son fell down the road breaking his legs, therefore her son has to be admitted to the hospital for a broken leg case .Also some of the people in the area got admitted last week in AIIMS due to suspicion of Swine Flu like symptoms .



We are living in 21st century where India is on a roll and congress party has big role to play in that, there is no doubt about that but still these kind of sewerage and drainage problems are existing in south delhi’s affluent colonies .We are law abiding citizens and therefore demand a severe and high level inquiry into this problem so that we can live our lives peacefully without any diseases .



It is my kind hearted request to all the assigned authorities to take an urgent action to solve this problem once for all so that our faith in Congress party remains intact .

This is with reference to overflowing/blockage/smelling of sewer and open drain. The sewer line in front of my house is blocked from last couple of months & it is badly stinking. The residents in our locality have often complained of blocked drains, sewer backflow and bad smell. But MCD authorities have not paid any attention to the urgent requirements of the street and to solve the problem permanently.

The living conditions are pathetic and worsen day by day with mosquitoes growing and foul smells making it difficult to pass through and stay at home. Because of this problem, one of my relative got affected in Dengu Fever who had visited to my house. He is in serious condition & now under treatment at MAX Hospital, Saket.

Please get it attended at the earliest.

I am resident of J-381 New Rajinder Nagar New Delhi. This letter is to bring to your notice the recurring OVER-Flowing Manhole/Sewer in front my house and the streets of J Block and water seeping in the foundation of our houses
I request the higher officials concerned to look into the matter. In years of my stay at my current address not a single day could ever be observed with this SEWER not blocked. But this time the situation has got worst as water is seeping in the foundation of our houses. This sever line is very old and small and has been broken internally due to so much construction and increase of pressure of number of houses.

Once in a week some employees come and clear the sewer but withing 1-2 hours it gets blocked again . the reson is that it is juct a 4 inch drain which should be atleast 12 inches.

The commissioner may kindly explain his stand point in view of the hardships being faced by the residents, as there are Hundreds of in this locality.

We have been very very frustrated now. After last day rain the road has been blocked with water and atleast for last two months water will remain same because there is unavailability of nikasi... Critical situation for the locality is that drinking water pipe is also affecting due to stand water & are getting dirty & polluted water for drinking.

There are blockage in the drains (Nalli) in Block-C, resulting two or three houses are about to be demolished and are possibility of big miss happening. The nalli water is overflowing on the road in front of the houses. Its creating health hazard. The area is stinking all the time. No safai karamchari comes to clean the nallis due to water overflowing all the time. Request you to look in to this matter and get the drains cleaned so that it stops breeding of mosquitos and can avert the possible EPIDEMIC.

You are also requested to please allow us to make arrangement o[censored]nderground sewerages system on our own cost upto the apt ending of drain. Resident of colony are ready to pay themselves whatever cost involved in this preparation. Please instruct your concerned local authorities to take the essential step to solve our problems at the earliest and arrange to remove blockage of Sub-Drain entirely blocked at Satyawati Public school, which need to open immediately upto the main Nala at Najafgarrh road.

Respected Sir

This is to inform you that the sewer outside my building and all street is Blocked & Over flowing since last 2-3 months. Even after a repeated number of complaints to local authorities & M.C.D. Office, there has been no action taken to correct it. The dirty water from the sewerage keeps coming out of it and has made the whole premises inside my building & on the road outside of my building very smelling foul. The problem of water not being disposed out correctly can also give rise to some disease. Due to this sewer problem my toilets are also not working properly.No body in the street member used their toilets.

Whenever we all people go to ask about the matter, the persons on duty give me baseless excuses that they have tried to clear the blockage but in vain, we have to bring some machine to clear up the same. I just can't understand what to do. They were completely not concerned about my helplessness of not able to use the toilet at all. What we supposed to do? The rain drainge pipe has been blocked since 19th nov we continuously complaining earlymoring at 7:30 am to sanitary inspector at there office which is located at behind of Akash Cinema.

The Mr. Devi Singh is our street cleaner man also we had requesting so many times to him the rain pipe was blocked the dirty water will be overflow and standing in front of my house. I am unable to enter in and out my house due to we are across the dirty water.

I want to draw kind attentions to the concerned department or its highly officer in charge, that we are facing the huge problems and tortured by the MCD department employees/Sweepers in the area posted at New T block, gali no- 6, near metro pillar no 707, 708 Uttam Nagar, New Delhi-110059, (Ward No 136. Matiyala Uttam Nagar) has been complaining to the MCD in respect of the broken roads and water logging in the street and the area. We are daily facing the problem of throwing of garbage near to our homes by MCD sweepers from the last 10 years. Daily sweepers collect the garbage from all the houses and accumulate them garbage near to our homes. Then they pick the plastic things from it and left the remaining garbage over there. This left over garbage get accumulated day by day and gives a very foul smell to our residents and passer-by. The Sweepers posted in that area do not work properly or regularly, draining is regular overflow here in the street. When i launched Complained over the phone 3-4 times most of the time i got reply from them that they are out station, sweepers are out station, Garbage trolley is not available, tomorrow he will send sweeper and many same such replies, but No action has been taken in spite of regular complaints to the area MCD Inspector or other high officer. And please soon do something about the drains, water logging, open plots full of garbage and the dirty, harmful smell and yes the broken road.

It is therefore, most respectfully prayed that kindly do the need full to remove the difficulties by given the order to clear the drain in the street of New T block, gali no- 6, near metro pillar no 707, 708 Uttam Nagar, New Delhi-110059, Matiyala Road (Ward No 136. Uttam Nagar). We hope for fast & permanent response from your side so that we can have safe and healthy life in future.

THE SWEEPER IN OUR AREA IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY .THERE IS A DRAIN IN FRONT OF OUR SOAP HE ALWAYS STORE ALL THE GARBAGE OF THE DRAIN IN FRONT OF OUR SOAP, WHEN WE SAY TO THOROW THE GARBAGE SIDE BY OUR SOAP THEN HE LOOK US IN A RUDE MANNER, IT ALWAYS BECOME PROBLEM FOR US AND OUR CUSTOMERS TO COME TO OUR SOAP, AND THEY REMOVE THOSE GARBAGE AFTER 1 OR 2 WEEK, IT SOMETIME CAUSE BREATHING PROBLEM.
IT DOES NOT MEAN NOT TO CLEAN THE DRAIN BUT IF THERE IS OPEN SPACE SIDE BY OUR SOAP THEN THERE IS NO PROBLEM TO THROW THE GARBAGE IN THAT PLACE

i am from azadpur mcd colony Delhi, I went to the mcd JE reagarding bad condion of foothpath outside my house. He said MCD department does't allow me "Fine"
I went again to the Sweeper MCD Head regarding inpropper cleaning on footpath outside my hose, send him photos too. H came & said our sweeper will not clean inside small plants, will not clean bottles etc., then everything is ok if you require more cleaning do it yourself "Fine"

There are some 10-15 stray dogs in our locality who gather in front of the house gates.They keep barking all the time especially during midnight & early morning causing a lot of disturbance during sleep hours. These dogs sit on the cars parked and put scratches on the cars' body and even when residents put covers on their cars they tear those covers. Also they snatch things from the hands of passerby.

The worst part is they are increasing in number day by day.

I am residing at Sector 6, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110075. There are many stray dogs in our locality who gather in the park and vacant area near our society.They keep on barking all the times especially during midnight & early morning causing a lot of disturbance during sleep hours. I am living in E Block, Mansarover garden , Delhi-15. The street dogs in our locality are building day by day and they are atleast 15 dogs in our locality. They have made our life miserable barking and biting are their hobbies. Many passer by are attacked by them and we fear to move.

My name is Venod Kumar Sharma, residing at Kargil Apartments, Dwarka, Sector – 18/A New Delhi, would like to bring to your attention on the problem Kargil Apartmens people facing these days. In the last six months there are many stray street dogs have made shelter inside the colony. Because of which it is really getting difficult day by day to commute and step outside our house .There had been many instances where these dogs bite people in our area.
As there are many people working in MNC company in Night shifts (Myself one among them) having a nightmare after returning from office to home. Also, there are many kids who play in the evening are unable to step out of the home as these dogs come closer barking and to bite. Generally, these dogs you can see lying on each block and they try make their victim the entire person who passes from them. The increasing number of stray dogs in this block is creating nuisance. Most of the times, children are victims of these stray dogs. I did lodge a complaint with our RWA office but nothing has been done so far.
We Are Facing A Fear For our self And Our Children Due To The Stray Dogs In Our Locality Who Are Increasing In Numbers Day By Day. They Keep Barking Through Out Night Which Disturb Peaceful Environment Of Nights For Sleeping Also They Sleeps At Stairs And Do Anywhere At People’s Houses. Old and poor people, apart from this at night they make horrifying sounds and crying.
So, this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send immediately Dog catcher team in this area so that we will get rid of this problem soon. Kindly send MCD along with the "Dog Catchers" are requested to take prompt and strict action against the problem faced.
