[Resolved]  Northern Railways — Non refund of cancelled rly. ticket

I had booked Rly. ticket for myself and wife on line through IRCTC on 4-12-12. with following reservation details.Train-12420(Gomti Exp.) Date of journey[protected]. PNR-[protected]. CLASS-C.C. Transaction ID[protected]. ticket cost Rs.292/-.But as the above train was late by more than 3 hrs.(late by 8 hrs.) we did not perform our journey and applied for cancellation of reservation on line aqnd filed TDR on[protected] before the scheduled arrival of train, hence entitled for full refund of fare.But I have not recieved any refund so far, although I have posted one reminder on 8-01-13 to CCM-CLAIMS/NR/VARANASI.But there is no responce from them.

Railway — Non-refund of cancelled trains fare

Dear Sir,
I had booked ticket on line on 16.12.2008 vide PNR no.[protected] in train no 4853 frm Akbarpur to Bharatpur and journey date was 24.12.2008. Due to the problem of Railway , the train was cancelled on 24.12.2008. I filed TDR on 25.12.2008 vide TDR no. ekt[protected] . 50% fare was refunded on 07-Aug-2009 with a contineus pursuation and balance 50% is not yet reunded for which several nos. of requests had been made to this effect..The matter is several times forwarded to NWR,Jaipur by customercare of IRCTC.KInndly take up the matter with concerned authority for refunding the fare with interest.

“SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR REFUND OF NON RESERVED TICKET”

Sir,

I would like to inform you that for 05/06/2011 I had booked a tatkal ticket on 03/06/2011bearing no 7765/307 Train No.12804 holding PNR No.[protected]. Journey from H. Nizamuddin to Vishakapatnam with current status CKWL/15 and till the final chart preparation it had reached CKWL/05. Hence the journey had to be adjourned.

On 06 of June, 2011 5:00 p.m. I had applied for refund in Sorojini Nagar Reservation Station, but, there I was informed, I had applied beyond the stipulated time. But, due to rush for purchase and reschedule of the journey I was all engaged. Moreover, I had no information about the time period of the refund as I was neither informed while purchasing the ticket nor anywhere in the reservation counter was it mention in notice, nor in the ticket it was instructed that refund should be applied within 12 hours of the train departure.

Sir, I would be very grateful if you could look into the matter and take necessary action for the above stated fact and kindly arrange for the refund o[censored]n- reserved ticket at the earliest.
