[Resolved]  Railways — No local trains from Bhiwandi to Thane(Maharashtra)

Resp Sir,

There are a lot many people commuting regularly from Bhiwandi to Thane and Thane to Bhiwandi. But there are no local trains for this route.

There are only 3 trains per day from Diva to Vasai going via Bhiwandi.
People use normal ST buses which are terribly overcrowded.
Please arrange some trains from Bhiwandi to Thane which will be a big relief to many people.

Railways — MRTS station without a bin

Respected sir,

I take no pride in mentioning the fact that I am a commuter on the MRTS. Agreed is the fact that the mass rapid transit transport system has been a lifeline to many commuters ,but the sad plight of the stations steals away all its glory . Of specific mention is the Thiruvanmyur station which shares the reference as an accessible point to the IT pride of chennai - the tidel park.It is suffice to say that this station is the filthiest one any modern man would have encountered and I am sure my photos will corroborate it .

It’s indeed unbelievable to realize the fact that this station doesn't have a single "Waste bin" on either of its platforms. With a stock pile of litter at various pockets, it’s a heaven for mosquitoes and probably rodents. To add colour to this, the entire station is patterned with paan spitting.

There also seem to be stations where the “Waste Bins” are provided but not regularly cleaned up, resulting in garbage collection in and around the bins. Even the few lot of people who are very particular about throwing the waste in the bins get agitated with the very sight of such negligence in the clearance of garbage bins.

I travel along the Thiruvanmyur - Beach belt and most of the stations do have bins and are fairly well kept with the exception of Thiruvanmyur. I believe its sheer ignorance on the authorities to provide "waste bins" and probably a few boards advising commuters to keep the station clean, else I am sure we are on the right track towards bagging the Nobel Prize for filth.

Would appreciate if you could act ,atleast now.

I AM A COMMUTER FROM JAMAI E OSMANIA TO JAMES STREET IN MMTS TRAIN , THE PROBLEM IS THERE IS ONLY ONE TICKET ISSUING COUNTER IN THE STATION , THAT TOO ON OTHER SIDE OF PLATFORM, IT CAUSING VERY MUCH HARDSHIP , BY CROSSING OVER THE STAIRCASE, I HOPE RAILWAY AUTHORITIES WILL LOOK INTO MATTER
Dear Sir

I want to register a complaint against the Ticket Distributor of Naraina Vihar Railway Station ( Near Patel Nagar Railway Station) of Northern Railways.

First of all, the attendant is a contractor person he opens his counter just before 2 or 3 minutes before the arrival of EMU Trains & sometimes he doesn't.

Secondly, he charges extra fares than the original fares which may result into the Loss to the Govt Revenues and also inconvienance to the passengers.

Thirdly, he uses always abusive language whether the person in his front is either male or female.

Fourthly, If we want to go to naraina vihar to NDLS he gives us the ticket only to kishanganj railway station which is atleast 2 or 3 stations before the NDLS, if we argue then he tells us that Railway Deptt has not supplied him with NDLS tickets & Charges Rs. 7/- per ticket instead of Rs. 4 or Rs. 5 ie its original fares.

Last but not least, there is another Abondened Ticket Counter on the platform No. 01 Side which he let out on Hire illegaly and earnings goings into his pocket.

You are please requested kindly take an immediate action so that a healthy travel can be possible.

Railways — INCONVENIENCE BECAUSE OF LESS SPACE IN SIDE BERTHS

During the tenure of Laluprasad Yadav as railway minister 3-tiered side berths were introduced in second class sleeper coaches and later on the middle berth in the side was removed. But after removing the side middle berth railways have not brought down the upper side berth to its original position causing very little space between the berth and the roof. This results into squeezing the person into the berth causing suffocation and very much inconvenience. As the lower side berth is divided into two RAC passengers they put their luggage beneath the side lower berth. The passenger having upper side berth has neither room for him nor for his luggage. The railways charges full fare for the side upper berth but the discomfort is tremendous.

I hereby request the railways to bring the side upper berths in the second class sleeper coaches to its original position causing enough space for the passenger. Else Public will have to drag the railways in the consumer courts for deficiency in service.

Railways — Complaint against ticket booking clerk

Sir,
I am a resident of Darjeeling.
Toady, dated 05th of January 2010, I had been to the railway station to book 2 tickets from Yeshwantpur to Howrah for me and my father in the Duronto Express on 17th January 2010.
As my father is a senior citizen and a kidney patient, I asked for the recession which I was to get on him being a kidney patient,
but I was denied my right.
I told him about the law and also shown him the fully signed and stamped certificate which I had received from my the hospital where my father is being treated, but he simply did not listen to me.
As such I had to book the ticket from the internet paying nearly a sum of Rs.6200.
This caused me a lot of inconvenience.


I hope you will take proper measures to rectify this grave problem.

Railways — purse theft

I was travelling from delhi to amritsar by golden temple ml ...berth no 60 B1 in ac3....someone took my purse from my berth near jalandhar city....as i was asleep...it contain my gold ring, pan card...cash worth 5000...please help me to put this issue...before the railway ministry...as i think it is one the attendent who come in ac3...boggy.

Railways — ladies seat

This is in regard to ladies seats reserved for lady commuters. I am a daily commuter of BEST bus. I enjoy travelling by BEST buses. The only thing that hurts me is lack of civic sense among men passengers who occupy ladies seat and keep sitting even if a lady is standing just above their head. Ladies I believe don’t want to make an issue of that so they keep standing and don’t ask men to vacate ladies seat. This again is unacceptable. Conductors may be busy in their job don’t pay attention to this. No commuter even utters a single word about this uncivilized act of men commuter.

I request BEST authorities to please look into the matter seriously and restrict men occupy ladies seat under any circumstances. Even when its unoccupied or occupied by one lady only as this also discomforts, we sit on ladies seats because we don’t want undue touch of any men. Please let us enjoy our freedom as women.

Railways — Attrocious service & inadequate facility in A/c coach

Dear concerned,

Train No. 2791, Sec-bad - Varanasi express was introduced to cater to the need of the passengers. when Mr. Lalu prasad yadav tool charge as Railway minister, the train was extended up to Rajendra nagar (Patna). Right from the inception of this train, the running schedule, was never intended to be followed once the train use to enter Allahabad and onwards till Patna. I understand that this train has elevated as Super fast train recently, but surprisingly it is worst than a passenger train.

I got my ticket reserved on[protected] at about 1540 hrs for 5 members of my family vide PNR no. [protected] from Sec'bad to Buxar for our journey dtd. 13.1.2010. the name of the passengers are as follows :
1. N K Pandey 47 M
2. Vijaylaxmi 41 F
3. Namrata 16 F
4. Tarini 11 F
5. Ashish 09 M

The boarding time at Sec'bad station is scheduled @10 am in the moring and arrival time at buxar is scheduled at 4.38 pm in the evening. The train is started almost on time from Sec'bad and though it was entroute but covered the original schedule in between but when it was about to reach Allahabad i.e., 3 KM away from Allahabad Jn. it was detained for about 1 hr. 40 mts for no proper reason. the schedule stopage at Allahabad is around 20 to 30 mts, but train was unnecessarily stopped for 1 hr 15 mts. On enquiry from the Railway official at Allahabad station, i was informed that there was absolutely no conjestion either at the outskirt or at Allahabad station and the officials on duty are only to be blamed for their total carelessness and negligence in regulating the arrival and departure of the train.

I was to my shock and surprised inform that the officials do their personal work go for lunch or breakfast for hours together take sunlight in winter season and involve in unnecessary gossipping and discussion which really affects the schedule of the train. All this nonsense starts only from Allahabad onwards till Patna, which is worst.

THIS TRAIN IS NEVER ALLOWED TO RUN ONTIME BOTH UP AND DOWN AND DESPITE MARATHON JOURNEY OF MORE THAN 30 HRS, WHICH IS PURELY ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE OFFICIALS OF THE RAILWAY WHO FEELS MORE SECURED AT THEIR WORKPLACE AS NO ACTION IS BEING CONTEMPLATED FOR NOT MAINTAINING THE SCHEDULE OF THE TRAIN.

The train which was supposed to reach Varanasi at about 2 pm on 14th Jan'10, which happend to be the festival day i.e., Makara Sankranti, reached Varanasi at around 6.15 PM and being with the family I could not dare to go to Buxar and got down at Varanasi and stayed with my relative in such a biting cold with my 3 minor children, causing enough inconvenience and difficulties, which cannot be described. I understand that this train reached Buxar at about 9.30 pm that too in a winter season, when the cold was at its climax. I had to attend to an important function, which i missed on 15th.

I was allotted birth in Coach No. B2 (birth no. 1 to 5) where electric plug was not working besides the non operational of fans. Foul smell was emanating from both the toilets and the condition of coach was pathetic. My costliest travel bag was damaged by the rats in the Compartment besides the regular movemnet of cocroaches disturbing the sleep and other movements within the coach.

IT IS FURTHER MORE SURPRISING THAT TIMING OF THIS TRAIN FROM 10 PM TO 10 AM UNNECESSARILY WHICH IS CAUSING MORE INCONVENEINCE AND DIFFICULTIES AS IT NEVER MAINTAIN SCHEDULE AND REACHES THE DESTINATION AT ODD HOURS THAT TOO IN A STATE LIKE BIHAR. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE CHANGE OF THE STATUS OF THE TRAIN AS THE STEP MOTHERLY TREATMENT IS BEING CONFERRED TO THIS TRAIN.

In view of the above, I tentatively lodge a monetary claim of Rs. 2,50,000/- on behalf of all my 5 family members for the damages, mental agony, stress and stain etc. and reserve my right to increase the same at the time of filing the final complaint, if this amount is not paid. Pl. treat this e-notice as a Notice U/S. 80 of Civil Procedure Code.

I also request you to ensure that the long journey trains like the present one is given top priority to maintain the schedule and also issue necessary directions to all the intermediary stations more particularly, Allahabad, Varanasi, Mughalsarai, Patna etc. to maintain the schedule at any cost or else they should be suspended pending enquiry before final termination.

I hope wiser counsel will prevail on all the concerned employees of Railway and they would see reason in the matter and in the interest of public at large.

Pl. arrange to remit my claim amount immediately.

I just want to suggest that pl do not waste so much of funds on cleanness of trains & railway stations. Just pass the Rules for prohibation on eating gutkha/mava ect in trains plus on railway station. This will 101% help Railway workers to maintain the cleanness in the trains & railway premises.

Railways — Tatkal booking .No ticket available within 15 minutes of opening.

I am a student trying to get back home on Holi. Not sure about my holidays early enough, I decided to book my ticket in the Tatkal quota. Now I sat down for booking at exactly 7:55 am(on 23th Feb for the train on 25th Feb) on the internet on the so called irctc website. At exactly 8:00 the server was totally jammed and it took five minutes to log in. Then further five minutes to load the train details and at exactly 8:15 there was 22 waiting list available.I thought I shall book the next day. Now this is the third day today and I finally booked my ticket that too 32 waiting list in Tatkal in some other train. Eventually I know I will have to suffer. Leaving that apart Now my question is Y does Railways bring up something that it just cant handle itself ?????
One server operating for over 20 million users of Internet in India does not seem fair .Rather the whole idea of booking seems unfair to me . 216 tickets go away in 15 minutes that too in a train operating for a very short distance. Such a huge industry like railways should have a proper network in place. It is really a shame for all operating such a network if a user takes 5 minutes to just login. Dont know who railway has hired to handle its networks ????? Maybe someone who did it at the cheapest . Imagine you trying to log into your facebook account and it takes 5 minutes to login. You would perhaps never login next time and switch to some other site. But ofcourse everyone knows this wont happen.(Bet Facebook has more users than irctc.in)

Unfortunately after the payment was made through SBH payment gateway, the error, "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankresponse.com.
Traveling from Bhiwandi by buses is a kind of war for everyone, it becomes hectic to travel for longs hours daily and even not on tym, I request the Indian Railway to arrange for the trains and improve the current status of people

Bhiwandi is a city with lot of people, youngsters, having potential of exploring the world.Known as a leading powerlooms hub in INDIA.City is very close to the THANE and MUMBAI.To travel from city to the suburbans of mumbai is a daily nightmare for Bhiwandians.Road transport is full of traffic, no one knows when will reach home from college or job till they reach, some times it will take 3 or 4 hours from thane due to heavy traffic which is only due to the improper transport system.No local train from city to any suburbs.Bhiwandi is only city without local train facility in and around mumbai, which is really injustice to the city people.
Government spends lots of money in other railway projects in every railway budgets, , bt, im surprised to see their way of approach to this issue, , inspite of having cut-throat need of loal trains. If government provides local train facility it will be a new life fro whole city.
On behalf of millions of people, im requesting you to consider this pathetic problem of our city people, and help them to live safely and happily, by providing local trains.
Expecting the same from government, , bcoz its not simply a complaint, its a pain of every bhiwandian, , ,

I was travelling with 2 of my friends on 31st March 2010 by train number 0866 vide my PNR number [protected] ( Secunderabad to Rajahmundry, 2nd AC). I got up after couple of hours of journey and asked the attendant the name of the station at which the train stopped. There were 3 attendants in that compartment and they were taking alcohol. One of the attendant abused me in vulgar language and threatened to manhandle me. We were surprised at his behaviour and asked the TTE to give us complaint register to lodge our complaint and he did not give.

sir i am SGT KN Rao serving Defence personnel presently in posted Chennai, I took concession form 1707R both for my wife and dependent mother from chennai to ongole and they commuted from chennai to ongole with out any difficulty ,while returning to chennai when my wife approached reservation counter in ongole,they refused to resrve tickets on 1707R (Warrent) stating that we should possess the lower portion of warrent... but we didint get ant such warrent lower portion from earlier ticket reserve counter( tambaram chennai) its self explanatory that party warrent (1707R) on exchange we dont receive any lower portion for further return journey because on printed ticket they already mentioned check soldier ticket and validity of ticket ( PNR no.[protected]. My wife was ill treated by the resrvation counter people of ongole station ,very funny thing this was not even justified by the station master ongole when approched twice in two days,, sir i would like to inform you regarding this lack of courtesy by reservation counter staff ongole and i am forwrding a copy of this letter to cheif commercial manager sir for redressal.. thanking you..

Railways — change of Boarding Point

I have reserved the tickets and I submitted written requision for change of boarding point, but the clerk says that, the reasons mention in written requision does not provide the rules for change of boarding point. kindly let me know the reasons has to be mentioned for change of boarding point. Railways — Quota System

In guwahati rajdhani there is small quota for katihar and othes stations like guwahati, New jalpaiguri and kishanganj are inone large quota because of which passengers of katihar find it difficult to get confirmed tickets and because of small quota waiting list tickets also fails to get confirmed. so please remove this quota system or expand the quota
