[Resolved]  Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh — Not received passport after 10 months

Hi,

My name is jaspinder singh brar. My passport issuing authority is Candigarh, and has only my first name printed on it and I need this to be changed to my full name. I dont know the complete process to get it done.

I have got my name printed out in the local as well as in National/State newspaper. Can anyone let me know what are steps to be followed after that?

Apart from this I have following questions in my mind:

Which form I have to fill and submit?
Where do I need to submit it?
Do I need to submit it personally or thru post from my hometown?
How many days will it take to process?
What is the fees for Name Change?

I am Ujjal Banerjee, I had submitted my application for a Passport on 7th of December 2009 and accordingly Police verification was done in the Ist week of jan2010 and the file has been sent to your office from SSP office of Panchkula. My application no is B012550 and my wife's (Meena Banerjee) B01249.

Till date my status of application is not updated on net and it says your application is refferred to Policy Dept please contact the PRO. May I now expect a updated status or we have to visit again and agin to your Office in sector 34?

But your website shows her date of birth is wrong as 06.02.2003 instead of 06.12.2003. I was attached copy of her school and birth certificate shows date of birth is 06.12.2003. I requested to you please correct her date of birth to 06.12.2003 before despatch.

I have applied for a new passport at district suwidha centre, bathinda on 16/03/2010 vide token no. 24020/2010 nd file no. CHDZ00123410.my police verification has been done by the concerned police station, bhucho mandi, a month before.I can't see the status of my passport on your web site till date 22/06/2010.please do the needful as soon as possible. My name is Ameet Chauhan. I had applied for passport in september, 2007. i still not recieved my passport.

I'm truly disgusted by the services provided by government of India.

I submitted my passport application at District Passport Application Centre at Bathinda on September 6, 2007 which was send to Regional passport office at Chandigarh.

With an Application for complaining about non-recieving of the passport and with original receipt, i gave the application. But till today i didn't recieve any response from the authorities concerned.I also posted various letters to the officers concerned but still waiting for their response.

I WANT TO KNOW THAT ARE AUTHORITIES SLEEPING?

Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh — No mention of Surname

The surname is not mentioned in my Passport. Rather it is combined along with my first name.
My name is Sandeep(First name) Chand(Last Name). So the passport shows Given Name as 'Sandeep Chand' and 'Surname' as BLANK.

Please advise me on the procedure to rectify this discrepancy.
