This is to inform that I have cancelled my SBI credit card bearing no [protected] on 11/02/2011.I HAVE BROKEN THE CREIT CARD AND HANDED OVER THE SAME TO THE SBI CREDIT CARD REPRESENTATIVE ON THE SAME DAY.
Even after cancelling the card i have not recieved the NOC from your end and my Fixed Deposit amount is blocked in my account. I had informed the bank customer-service over the phone regarding this. I was told that the credit card will be cancelled on payment of the dues. I paid the dues completely and re-informed customer support.(THE DUE AMOUNT WAS CLEARED THROUGH CHEQUE NO 731762 WITH AN AMOUNT OF 1200 (ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED ONLY) AND AFTER THIS AGIAN I GOT A STATEMENT WITH AN OUTSTANDING OF 550.40 AND I HAVE DEPOSITED THE SAME IN SBI BANK ON 15/03/2011 THROUGH CASH AND THE TRANSACTION ID IS J/[protected]In between I have been getting msgs for payments from SBI customer service and I have been informing them that I am no more using that card and that I had already cancelled the card. Still I continue to get monthly statement. I Want To Cancel My Credit Immediately I 'am Not Able To Handle This Card Due Lot Of Charges I Have Suffered Lot So I Request You To Help For My Card Cancellation .

Please excuse me for I would like to draw your kind attention for going through a few lines and may be for spoiling your valuable time. I am writing this thinking that this is the right forum to address my problem. I am also herewith reposing a lot of hope that you would be able to lift me out of the trap of SBI Credit Card.

I was holding an SBI credit card(Card No.:[protected]) since 2006 and my uncontested transaction with them was till 9th May 2008.

I also received a intimation letter from SBI card vide ref. no.:MQ[protected] dated May 10, 2008 closure of the card for usage and was also advised to destroy the card to avoid any misuse. I did exactly the same, the card was destroyed and closed the horrendous chapter was believed to be closed.

Suddenly, one fine morning on 03.06.2008, 11:30 am I got an SMS (Your statement Dt 01-JUN-08 has been dispatched. Total O/s of Rs.548.82 or Min of Rs268.64 is Payable by 21-JUN-08-SBI Card). At this point of time I started smelling decomposed rat but paid the amount of Rs.549/-(Rupees five four nine only) to avoid dragging the things further by putting a cheque in the drop box vide cheque no.635666, SBI, Guwahati and was debited duly from my a/c .

After that everything went peacefully and I also started forgetting the brunt of losses I already suffered through this Credit Card. Suddenly one day in April 2009, I got a demand notice from SBI card that I had to pay Rs.7720/-(Rupees seven thousands seven hundred and twenty only) reason being they did not deposit the cheque issued by me vide cheque no.820186 SBI, Guwahati dated 07.04.2007.

The cheque was collected by one certain Ramen through an agency called SMD and acknowledged vide Book No.: 153343(Receipt no.: 7667142) dated 07.04.2009.

Now, what I believe is that the cheque was not deposited intentionally to trap and entangle the card holder(me) for an infinite period for exploiting money. It is also possible that the cheque was held up with the Agent itself but the amount was levied with all other hidden charges through the subsequent transactions till 9th may 2008.

Lastly, I have received one letter through them vide Ref. Code:NXD August 01, 2009 stating that I have to pay Rs.8399.75(Total outstanding as escalated from Rs.7720/-) or a minimum of Rs.866.29 or else face a legal action for recovery of the outstanding with other charges.

This has become too much for me to swallow and digest and hence to repute the charge, I sent an e-mail to head.[protected]@ge.com for Shri Ajay Bharti, Ast Vice President, Customer Services, PO Bag No.28, GPO, New Delhi-110001 demanding a certain explanations like:
I. What is the proof that and amount of Rs. 7720/-(amount o[censored]ncleared cheque) was not levied through the subsequent transactions? Also tell me why the cheque was not deposited by you in time(This I believe is intentional to put the consumers in trap )?Why the cheque is not handed over to me yet? This I believe is intentional to put the consumers in trap
II. To furnish the full transaction detail since inception
III. Why I had to pay extra Rs.549/-(Rupees five hundred and forty nine only) after clearing the payment of Rs. 79177/-(Rupees seventy nine thousands one hundred seventy seven only)?
IV. Why stern action was mot taken against your staff/agent for whose fault I am facing this problem?
V. Why the O/S has escalated from Rs.7720/- to Rs.8399.75?
However reply from the gentleman is awaited.Anyway they have asked for three days time to reply. It is absolutely fine with me.

However isn’t it illegal that SBI card is putting a claim?

SBI rail card — Use of inappropriate language on telephone

On 02 May 09, at arround 1440hrs, I received an unsolicited call on my mobile no [protected] from a telemarketing Executive for SBI Rail Card at Bangalore (Tel no [protected]). When I conveyed my unwillingness for the SBI Rail Card, he used very offensive language on telephone and abruptly disconnected while I was very polite with him all the time during the conversation. I expect the individual be identified and fired straight way for the misbehaviour.

He started asking about my job details and told that they are some offers regarding online ticket booking and we will get 10% discount for it.And, he abruptly disconnected the call without saying anything.And, even after that i am getting calls from that number and disturbing me.I hope that the person be identified and fired out for his action.

i want to inform u that i m custumer of of sbi sln main branch sir last year 18th of sep i widraw 2400 rs from the pilakhuwa branch atm of ghaziabad, but i got only 400rs, i lost my money due to the some technical fault of the atm.i complained to both of the about this accident. but untill there are no action been taken from both of the branches.

i give written application to both of the branches with the zerox copy of the transiction.

Same thing happened with me. Only change is I have agreed on renewal of the policy. The policy was renewed but that time noone said not the insurance company, no SBI card center that you will be charged some administrative fee. And I was charged Rs. 700/- as administrative. But in all I would like to say SBI has very pooooooor quality. And charges unnecessarily to the customers. If anyone planning for SBI CC don't go.

SBI Cards — Royal Sundaram Insurance policy and Billing cycle

Royal Sundaram Insurance was debited on Auto Renewal Basis in spite of me not being their customer and I have followed up with Head Cards and they have taken several months to refund part and not refunding full. I have followedup with RBI Chennai too on this as GE SBI Cards has renwed automatically without notification, I had change of address which was notifyed to them, but they now say they have informed earlier address as have not objected they renwed. Now I brought to their notice that I was never in first Instance a Royal sundaram insurance member in 2007 or have paid they say they can autorenew if i have not informed them. how would I know that they would debit or Royal Sundaram cheat like this.

Also they have been giving payment date as 28th which I have been objecting for above an year as is quite difficult to pay month end, all other cards have provision to change billing Cycle and accommodated. GE SBI levies heavy penal charges and never accedes to any customer requests or replies to mail Their online server alwyas has problems and makes barge o[censored]nwarranted calls.
People should be educated of SBI cards unprofessional, Unethical ways and brought to book by RBI or other regulators and Consumer forum.

I am one of the cheated customer who had trusted royal sundaram insurance plans and had availed one. This is a complaint regard to cashless health card, which i had taken for my mother a few months back. She was ill now and the doctor advised her to get admitted for some days(after we were informed that the heath card we have is valid), after she had recovered, we produced our health card with all the documents and one of the guy from royal sundaram had visited the hospital to collect the docs and submit to their headoffice. This was 2 days before the dischrage. Since we have to pay the bill, the billing department complained us that your insurance is not benn approved yet. We have been calling the claim office on the no: [protected](Mrinal Das) and [protected], as these nos were given behind the health card, now theses people arent responding to our issues and we are seriously running of solutions to discharge my mother from the hospital. Please advice what should we do?is this not cheating, these people are fraud and dont give proper srvice to the customer, and we are all cheated...

GE-SBI CARDS — DEBIT OF INSURANCE WITHOUT CONSENT

GE-SBI DEDUCED TO PAY ROYAL SUNDARAM INSURANCE Policy Number : CS[protected] WITHOUT CONSENT AND WHEN I OBJECTED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS BY MAIL, CALLS THEY REFUNDED PART AND INFACT WAITED FOR SEVEN -EIGHT MONTHS FOR THEM TO REVERSE COMPLETLY AND AS THEY HAVE NOT BEEN DOING SO MADE COMPLAINT TO RBI AND THEY WERE SENT NOTICE FOR WHICH THERE IS NO ACTION AND I STOPPED PAYMENTS FOR LAST 3 MONTHS.
ALSO THEY GIVE BILL PAYMENT DATE AS 28TH AND ARE NOT WILLING TO CHANGE THAT DATE TO FIRST WEEK OF EACH MONH AND LEVY HEAVY CHARGES OF LATE PAYMENT, OVERDUE APART TO INTEREST. CARDS ARE VERY MANIPULATIVE AND ARE FLEECING HARD EARNED MONEY AND THERE IS NO WAY TO GET OUT ONCE YOU ARE IN DEBT.

I was planning to take a SBI Credit card but after reading your complaint, I will not apply for the same. I was thinking that SBI is a very systematic bank and will not force any type of amount to the customers.

I am also the victim of Royal insurance and SBI tie up, even though cancelling in free look period, I was penalised every month . I have made regular complaint but no reply . Please do not apply for SBI card

I am Nihar Ranjan Samal, recently a victim of the same SBI Credit Card and Royal Sundaram Tie problem. After knowing that they have paid for the Royal Sundaram Health Insurance premium I cancelled the royal sundaram policy(CS[protected]) as soon as possible by argument with Royal Sundaram . Still they charged the 25% of the EMI (Rs764). Which I denied and also asked SBI CC to close my Credit Card Account. Account is closed but they sent a bill with outstanding amount Rs.764. i again denied and clarified that the policy with Royal Sundaram is cancelled. As they have paid for the policy without my authorization, so I am not going to pay it from my pocket. They should sort it out among themselves.Then after 11th Feb 2008 there was no further communication I received from them. then I was under the impression that the matter is closed.Then suddenly at mid-night on 25th may 2011(in New York) I received a call from my father-in-law(an old man, a heart patient) that there is a vigilance case in my name.I have to contact immediately at this no[protected] to Mr. A. K. Sinha, Director of Vigilance, New delhi. I called back on that number, from the other side the person posed as mr.A.K. Sinha told me that there is a vigilance case in my name. Initially I could not understand. Then he said it regarding the your outstanding bill to be paid with SBI CC. I siad him that I have colsed this matter in 2008.He told me you should have done it face to face visiting the SBI CC office. But now you have to pay the outstanding amount Rs.30740 by 12 PM IST otherwise your visa will be cancelled. I was paniced as I am a student now and my career will be spoiled. I immediately called one of my friend in India and requested him to borrow me the said amount and deposit the amount at the nearest SBI Credit Card office (Durgapur, West Bengal) in my credit card account no.([protected]). He id that. Then I called on the cell no.[protected].
One lady received the call saying Mr.A.K. Sinha is in a meeting and you will receive your NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE with in one hour in your e-mail id.I did not receive it within 1 hour. again called on that no. The person posed as A.K. Sinha received the call saying I will get the NOC after2 days. After 2 days when I called on that same no, it is switched off. If rings nobody answers.Since that day i have sent several mails to SBI CC regarding the statement(to see how it became Rs30740)and the NOC. After almost 2 weeks got a clever reply from SBI CC that I have no outstanding bill pending with them. I am not satisfied with this answer. I want my hard earned money to be refunded. Also want to teach them a lesson for posing as A.K. Sinha, Vigilance Director and harassing me, my family at mid-night. Also harassing my father-in-law (a hreat patient) in name of vigilance case. Anybody please suggest and help me in this regard.I am a student now. Rs30740 against Rs764 is really shocking. I can not concentrate on my work since 25th May 2011. Can all o[censored]s with similar problem come up together to bring this SBI Creit Card and Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance to justice for cheating and harrassing innocent customers.

Today I saw around 52 e-statements starting from 2nd April 2008 to 2nd June 2011 from SBI Credit Card in my mail inbox . It seems they have at a sudden put in to action after a long time.
These many e-statements do not serve my purpose. Were they sleeping till date?
Who will pay for my mental harassment starting from 25th May 2011 mid-night till date? It has affected my research work.They tried to tranish my image.
I had never asked anybody from SBI credit card or Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance for the Health Insurance Policy. Why they did that without my authorization . After learning about this fraudulent payment made by SBI Credit Card I immediately asked Royal Sundaram to cancel my health insurance policy and also asked SBI Credit card to cancel my Customership by sending them a mail on 14th August 2007.Royal Sundaram Insurance(PolicyNo.CS[protected]) is cancelled within the minimum time period so they charged 25% (Rs.764) of the premium.Which SBI Credit Card sent me in the next statement after cancelling/blocking my credit card([protected]).But clarified to them that I will not pay this Rs.764 as I had never asked for such a health insurance premium.Requested SBI Credit Card to look into the matter. They did not do anything fo this. For any insurance policy there use to be a form filled up and duly signed by the customer. In this case where it is?
SBI Credit Card has added interests and late payment fee and again interest on that till date and now sending a statement of Rs.30736.81. For which they posed as A.K. Sinha, Director of Vigilance, New Delhi using cell phone no.[protected] and threatened me at mid-night(in New York) to immediately deposit the an amount of Rs.30740 at the nearest SBI CC office in my SBI CC account to avoid my immediate VISA cancellation and severe vigilance charge against me. They issued a receipt ((no.15959082, agency Code-IBC 1858, Bucket-Recovery) dated[protected]. The last mail communication was on 20th feb 2008 in which they had attached a statement dated[protected]. After that they sent statement on 18th July 2011.

The same mail id was registered with them and my credit card account was blocked.

Now I have to return the money Rs.30740 to the persom from whom I borrowed that immediately to deposit the amount at SBI Credit Card office at Durgapur, West Bangal branch.I am a student now.
Please help.How I will get that money back and repay the amonut to the person from whom I have borrowed it. I have been harassed to the extreme extent.

Please have a look at the mail communications and the last statement sent by SBI Credit Card. Also have a look the mail regarding cancellation of Policy from Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance.

I am Neeraj nagpal, a victim of the same SBI Credit Card and Royal Sundaram Tie problem.
I got a call twice from SBI for giving me this royal sundram accidental plan and both time i simply said NO, I don't want any plan. But still after 4-5 day i got a message from SBI tht "transaction of Rs. 481.00 made on SBI credit card at Royal sundaram allianc on 6 aprl 2016." WHY. if said NO I don't want it.
Now who'll be responsible for this matter SBI Credit card department or this Royal sundaram.

Sbi is doing very wrong job they deducted money from my sbi card account without notifying me and without my confirmation even i told him i Don't want any policy when they called me he told me that written policy latter will send to your address and if you don like policy or T&C tou can cancel it then i said ok even after few days they deducted 496₹. Why, they doing this with us. In 499 i could buy Amazon prime.

A recent victim of this. SBI is making fool and now they are not reverting money. I have called up customer care multiple times but it seems they know how to deal well and not to refund money. I am tried and don't know what to do. Experience with SBI card is pathetic and you can't get worse than this with any other card.

Hi,
I have used barclay credit card ([protected]). i made 20, 000/- transaction and i dropped the the ICICI bank check (check no 502240) on 5th of september with the amount of 20000/- to "Barclays credit card [protected]". My payment due date is 8th september. on 8th morning i got a call from barclays credit card divison and he informed that now onwards all the transactions needs to made with the name "Barclays bank PLC", so please stop the previous check and made new payment with this name. on the same day i stopped the the check and issued new check with "Barclays bank PLC ".
After 1 week i got a message saying that your new bill is generated with the amount 2222/-. They want to charge 500/- for stop payment, 500/- latepayment and 978/- debit interest.
i want to take complaint about this. because i have made payment at the right time and because of the address change only i have stopped the payment (that to informed by their representative). they made interest for this both.
please suggest proper action to take as early as possible.

You will get a ID and password. With this ID and Password, you have to login and after login you have change the ID and password as you required.

I am not reciving my monthly statemnt since 3 months. Kindly advice yr. personal to deliver my montjy staementin time. so i can make payment atleast min. amt due.

I have not received monthly statement for October, 08 although I was informed over SMS regarding despatch of the said statement.Further, I have already cancelled six Rly.I-Tickets purchased through SBI card no [protected] on 10 & 27 Sept.08 amounting Rs.5134.00 being the net refund amount.But
even today I have not rceived any information from the sBi card
service provider regarding fate of my cancelled amount since the
i-tickets cancellation amount is credted to the card holders account and the should reflect in the statement of account as
Credit to the holder.Please inform immediately the actual position.

SBI Card — Non receipt of the Monthly statement

Dear Sir

I have not been receiving the monthly statement of my card at my address since several months. Despite my repetitive reminders at the customer care number, they always assure that this month onwards, you will get regular statements, but no result.

My usual billing cycle is from 1st to 31st, and normally my last date of payment is on 21st of every month. Everytime I have to call up the customer care number and find out my outstanding, and then make the payment. Earlier I have been making interim payments, so I didn't bother to find out the balance amount. But this time I wanted to make the full and final payment and according to my calculations, the Last payment should be much less than what they are claiming.

This is certain that the bank must be leiving the late payment charges or unreasonable interest charges on my card for no fault of mine.

Please take up this matter with the company and ask them to resolve the issue.

Plastic used on this card is very cheaper. and secondely its the first card who was leminated. May be bank save the cost of plastic. In other private bank's debit card is made by a good quality plastic and their magnetic strip didnt miss even a single transaction for 9-10 years ateast. But its just a few month ago issued then too all its lemination get separated. please issue me a new debit card for this number.
