Hello All,

I am here to share a very pathetic experience I had with SBI Credit Card. I have a SBI Gold Card. I am having problems since the day I have got this card.

First of all I never receive the statements on time. I have called 10 time (exactly) to the customer care dept. to give them my correct email address, and to have my statements on time in mail. Every time they take down my email address and till date ie: after 10 calls and 6 months, I still receive paper statements and that too after the due date is over.

Immediately I start getting calls from the so called Recovery Dept. They are extremely rude and abusive.
I would say being rude would be acceptable when it comes to the SBI people calling. They are ABUSIVE in such a way that they normal educated people can't even think about it.

I HEREBY CAUTION OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE READING THIS.

Please, and please never ever think about going for an SBI Card.

I am going through a horrible time, even after making payments on time (ie: as soon as I receive my statements). Half of my productive time goes in making the sitting taking calls in the customer centre what my problem is. Every time they say I will help you in a very cold manner. But still the same things are continuing.

IF ANY LAWYER IS READING THIS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT ACTIONS CAN BE TAKEN. I AM READY TO GO OUT OF MY WAY TO TEACH SBI A LESSON. I AM READY TO SPEND MONEY BEHIND THE CASE, BUT ATLEAST I WILL MAKE SURE OTHERS ARE SPARED OF THIS HORRIBLE TREATMENT METTED OUT TO ME.

I have a outstanding of some amount in SBI credit card dept. At the every 20th of the month i get calls from recovery people. And the calls are very abusive. It became so serious that once it even affected by health. I was in so much of tension after the Recovery agent gave me a call that i got Facial Paralysis. I have all the Medical documents with me. And just the last month one more recovery agents called me and she threatened me like a police and my mistake she called my relatives house as my phone was busy and she tortured my relative that even he was ill. I would like you to take severe action against them.
I have experience of my own card too, I asked the recovery people not to call me again and started disconnecting calls. I was over billed after a balance transfer and I asked the SBI cards to waive off or forget the whole amount. I asked them to claim the amount in court as i am willing to appear in a court of law. They don't reveal much about the outstanding and balance transfer details are not at all transparent. They had no other option but to waive off the amount and apologize for their rude behaviors...


Can anybody help me finding the owners of the following Phone Nos which SBI card people uses for recovery of dues.

I was traveling with my friend on my way back to palakkad from Kochi. The Sbi card Collection people has started abusing for not paying the bill, the bill was not correct as they used to debit continuously 300 Rs per two month for some porn site payment and they wee not able to give details of the payment even though dispute forms were submitted. So The cards were used for the max possible credit limit and payments were put on hold. The Recovery executives started abusing when intimated that no payments will be made with out waiving excess bills. Even abused the person's mother and father and called their home too and abused his father and mother. So Complaints will be mad to BSNL to track the origin of call and requested in writing to record the BSNL Incoming calls from Chennai.

I would advise every one of you to use the card to the whole extent. If any body get a chance to bash the recoveries, better at first not do that use the card for complete credit limit, ask the recovery department to send the collection guy and try to get him in to your house and make a scene and tie him up and his accomplice and complaint to police for his indecent behavior (cooked up story). If possible treat him well and get his manager too and give a quotation to him as well. if abuses are in telephones try to record the call using sophisticated devices and publish it in media. You can irritate them at first by starting to abuse them on one first wrong signal. Next call onwards you can record and hand over to media like CNN or manorama news or india vision. I dont advise any one to become a defaulter, but such irresponsible behaviors from such people need not be tolerated. Education will only help you to deal with educated people and to deal with such , u need to behave as a local goonda./... Abuse them as well like they never heard such abuses b4.

Refer to above details, after the payment u r legal notice arrived I have been SBI Credit Card customer from last 3 years approx and had done more then Rs. 46502transaction with this card and there is not even a singe dispute from my side even I have Rs. 718.50 excess in my account.

I had received the above mentioned credit card after renual in the last month and understand that I have total 249 reward points.

I am trying to redeem my reward points from last 3 weeks and every time your tele-executives giving me the explanation that the above credit card has been de-activated and they are going to place a request for activation of the card but today your tele-executive has confirmed me that actually the card has been deactivated and due to this I can not redeem my reward points.

As far as reward points are concern I don’t care about the same but my concern is only that without informing to me how SBI can deactivated the credit card.

Also please note I am not at all satisfied with the stupid explanations given by your tele-executives today regarding the deactivation of the above mentioned credit card. As per your tele-executives they had tried to contact me so many times and all the time my telephone but they didnot hve in touch with me hence SBI had de-activated my card but here I want to know the reason for why you people tried to contact me, and here I want to know the dates and timings of those calls. And also please let me know had you people sent any thing in writing before deactivation of this card.

I have this card with me from last more than 1 years but no body from SBI had contacted me till today regarding the above credit card and the day I had asked for the redemption of my reward points i came to know you people had deactivated my card due to above reason why……………???????? Being a customer oriented and Nationalize organization you people should have give the clear picture to you customer but here I realize the whole discussion I had with you tele-executive is all just a STORY………FAKE STORY.

I think this is not the professional way of working, instead of giving the proper information to your customer SBI people is trying to avoiding to discuses the matter, If there is any problem with my card you should communicate the same with me in place of trying to miss-guide and making the story’s…….

I want the explanation on below points from SBI in writing at the earliest.

1. Reason for why my credit card got de-activated. (As I am not at all satisfy with the above clarification given by SBI)

This is really un-professional attitude which is atleast not at all acceptable to me as I had cleared my all the dues against each and every transaction with SBI before or within the time and every this is crystal clear.

SBI — Credit Card Recovery Agency use Abusive language

I was holding a SBI Gold Gold Card in my name Abdur Rauf Rahmani. Intially they told me its free of cost we wont charge anything but when the card came they put in yearly charges to it.
First month i got the statement but after one month i did not get any statement.... after complaining so many time to call center i didnot get any statement.... after that these people started calling from Gurgaon and started threatning and abusing on Phone..they use such abusive language .... i told them that i am out of station whenever i come back we will settle it down but they did not listen to me.... now few days back somebody called up from Chennai..and threated my mother that they will lodge a case against my sister and against my father..etc.....etc....
these peopel are such bad people.. is this the way to deal a customer????Please do something about it
SBI is very worst bank... Even they do not know what they will be doing... collection department ppl will harrase like anything..even though they do not know anything... Please do not take SBI CARD. Stupid survices,really very very bad......

SBI Credit Card — Mis-guide & mis-communicating to Customer

My card no is [protected] My complaint is SBI CREDIT CARD CHENNAI SECTION They are MIS GUIDE AND MISS COMUNICATION TO me.

.My loan amount Rs 43000.In Decemher2007 Iam regularly remetting the monthly 1201.I have allready remittedRs 8075.Your demand Rs49324.72 is absoulty wrong.I have filed a petishion before the Banking OMBUDSMAN RBI TRRIVANDRUM .DAILY 10AND ABOVE TELEPHONE CALLS in SBI credit CHENNAI SECTION .So stop harassing me over telephone.
I also had a very bad experience. Someone needs to teach SBI a lesson.
Its even worst experience with me. I am out of country for the past 6 years and I spoke to officers and cancelled my card in year 2000. Today I am getting the lawer notice that almost Rs.7000 is pending. I really don't know what is happening.

Looking at all words from ppl. I feel even though I make a payment, the problem is not going to resolve. They are keep going to send the same again and again, look at the below site.

SBI /credit Card — Harassing calls from SBI

Dear Sir,

Here I would like to request u that i was a X card holder of SBI & want to settle this matter full final amount for that i am writing & speaking to there SBI customer care people from last 4 months but there no response some there side for the settlement of this matter. Instead of that they harassed me by calling at my mobile number which reaches to me during my working hours of my office. Let me also explain or brie[censored] the exact story behind it. When i got there credit card the person who had fill my form told me that sir that i[censored] withdraw a cash amount from this credit card & i[censored] repay the withdrawal amount on time then there is no transaction & finance charges applicable for the First time. Even though i have not received the terms & conditions documents from the bank. For that i have called them so many times at starting but every time they say that soon u will get those documents. After all these hide & seek from the bank i finally ask them for the full final settlement for this matter. But, know they say that this matter cannot be settle down it can only be settled down by paying the unwanted amount raised by them i.e. Rs 8000. So, it’s my humble request to your dept to settle this matter with an appropriate amount. According to me the appropriate amount for the settlement is Rs.[protected]. For any further clarification please feel free to contact the undersigned person.

SBI is a Bank with most pathetic service of all.
Be it any type of account or credit card.
Sooner or later one will understand that opening any type of account with SBI is
really a waste of time and energy.

Please beware of SBI for your own good.
sbi should be renamed as worlds largest cheat
SBI is in the hands of some old and good for nothing employees who follow the same old style of functioning. Usual late coming, absconding from seats during office hrs when the customers are waiting impatiently for their turn in the ques, chat with collegues without any hesitation when people are waiting, no care for the updation of the software knowledge, wearing a serious look always as if the customers have come for some personal favour etc. How this bank will compete with the new generation banks? staking very tall claims about their service is their only way of function. Just remove the Govt. transactions from it and see the result. Not even a fly will look at it for its banking needs. Such is the shape of things in SBI. JUST FORGET IT.
