[Resolved]  State Bank of India — Credit Card Settlement

Hi,

I had a SBI credit card which i got in 2005 but due to some invalid transaction charges made on my card i closed the same in 2007. Before closing my running credit card, i did call the SBI customer care and asked them to waive the invalid transactions of Rs/- 1000 (approx) and close the account. As per confirmation from them, i made a lumpsum payment of Rs 21000/- (outstanding was approx. 22000/-) and after few days could figure out that am unable to login to myonline account which made me feel as if my account is closed. The e-statements also stopped after that confirming my belief. But suddenly after few years they started sending me statements again and their recovery agents started calling me.
These days the frequency of calls from recovery has increased and they are asking me to pay 17000/- as outstanding and threatning me as well for court notice and other actions may be some gundas etc. They are harassing me badly by calling atleast 100 times a day and i don't know how to go about that. This is a very unfair practice as the bank is asking me to pay for no issues of mine.

Please somebody help me as how should i go about it.

Hi,

I got a phone call from SBI - Delhi and after discussion of the whole issue am asked to make a payment of 1905/- which was left as outstanding on my last bill before i made the last payment of 21000/-, post which the bank will reverse back the charges accrued till date to the account and will remove my name from CIBIL.

I will make an online payment today for the same and would post the Transaction id as well over here. But i need a confirmation from SBI that as soon as i post the transaction ID, they'll send me a confirmation letter or say NOC on my mail id ([protected]@gmail.com).

As i've already faced a deceptive action i don't want to risk myself again.

Hi,

Thanks for resolving my issue. I got my statement with 0 outstanding and as per our discussion my CIBIL report would be updated as non-defaulter by tomorrow. The response from the SBI executives was indeed appreciable and am highly satisfied.

Hi,

I did everything to get things clear from my side and was assured and confimred by SBI executive that they have sent my clearance details to CIBIL. But the latest CIBIL report which i got a week back doesn't reveal that. Can i get someone to look into it on top priority?
