[Resolved]  Tata AIG General Insurance — Policy documents not received

I, the undersigned Mangesh Prabhakar Asawalikar purchased three health insurance policies through credit card but until now despite of the debit to my HSBC credit card DIRECTLY 15 days back no policy documents have been received to date to my office address


On two occasions I called upon the telephone officer who replied and said that the documents were sent twice through Blue dart courier but were unable to be dispatched due to no address being traced.

My address is very much clear and easily understandable by an beggar who is strolling on old Mumbai Pune Highway Behind Old Sterling Show room Pimpri. But since I assume that these were never sent to me or Blue dart courier people were not enough educated to call on my number to contact me and hand over the document.

Then the next reply of the telephone officer was that the exact copy of the policy will be sent to my email address, which I suppose is still in transit and will take years to come till the time my policy lapses. I would like the consumer forum to look into the matter and get the policy document or alternatively to refund the amount that has been debited to my account through the Credit card.

Thirdly the complaint registration on the TATA AIG site has a problem, as when complaint is typed CHINESE LIKE letters get printed in the complaint box just to take the customer for a ride.

TATA-AIG General Insurance — Not Catering to cancellation Request of Policy

I have opted for Tata Aig's Health Care Plus policy through HSBC bank on 12th of October 2008. The policy details are as follows

I Recieved Policy details on 21st October 2008. It was all verbal comunication and i was told that i would have to submit details of my policy within 14 days of my recieving of policy details. I was also told that i could cancel the policy within those 14 days of period. I have been trying to cancel the policy since 21st october(tried almost 10 times) and everytime i was told that due to technical problem my call could not be routed. On 29th october i was made to hold the line for more than 10 mins and then the call got disconnected on its own. this happened twice. When i called them back i was told that there's again the technical glitch. I have sent them a mail with all the details but they havnt responded it to it yet. I have been charged more than Rs.26000 on my credit card. Please Help me.

TATA-AIG General Insurance — Not cancelling the policy even after a month and auto debiting credit cards

I had enrolled with an accident and health insurance policy with TATA-AIG insurance. They had a tie up with HSBC credit card customers. I have sent and email on requesting to cancel the policy, also i called them over phone and requested the same. But still a month later they debiting the policy premium from my credit card.
Today again i called and checked with an customer care executive about the debited amount. They are not answering properly, instead they suggesting (threatening) me to continue for another 2 months with the lowered premium amount to reverse my Rs.701/- premium amount which they debiting everymonth.

I have all the email proofs with myself. Authorities kindly look into it and reverse my amount. Also, the way the executives deals with customers is totally disgusting. It will spoil the reputation of TATA group.
I have the same problem. I have been a victim of cheating and bad service from TATA-AIG. I gave up and called up customer support to put the request for cancellation. They said within 48 hours someone will get back on the request. Till date (even after 5 days) no one has called. I am sure they won't let me cancel.

TATA-AIG General Insurance — Cancelling Policy with more amt. of Money

This is regarding cancellation of Policy No. MRP[protected] in the Name of Mr. Nirav Narendrabhai Patel.

Still getting delayed and not been cancelled. Following is the highlight of talk between me and your Representatives on phone.

My policy was over last month (March-2009). I was already refused to renew. On, 31st March 2009 Mr. Nityanand of Renewal Department called me at 1.30pm and again called back on 2.30pm to renew it. I told him that I am not ready to renew, and If I want to renew I need sometime to think on it. In that case, Mr. Nityanand advised me that Pl. say Yes now, and by the time you receive in next few days, If don’t want to continue give a call for Canceling Policy. He, also said that at the time of canceling they will deduct 1915/- Rs. only and the whole policy will be cancelled.
Story begins from here now. After saying yes by Me (Nirav Patel). You send me and I received policy document on 4th April 2009. On 7th I made a call to cancel this policy at 4.20pm. That time I had a talk with Mr. Manish and he told me that cancellation charges will be 4500/-. Later I give call again and connected with Mr. Hemant on 4.45pm. He was told me that It will take care soon. Again called back for the same issue on 9th Apr. 09 at 3.30pm with Sweeney. That time again the whole story was repeated. She, put my query as complain and gave me a complain no. 4656815.
Now, my query is named as 4656815. That time she told me that it will resolve with in 7working days. I also specified that I will going on tour for a week, so may be I was not in contact. After coming back from tour, I called back to TATA AIG again. I start talk with Ms. Vaishali at 4.30pm. for 15min. to explaining above story. She told me to hold but somehow it was disconnected. Then I tried again and connected to Mr. Roy. I requested to connect Ms. Vaishali. He says not possible. So, again I started my story and explained the whole thing to Mr. Roy. It was started at 4.45pm and ended at 5.20pm. During this talk he was conveyed me by saying that my query will be resolved in next 5 days i.e. by end of this Saturday[protected]. I also requested to connect me or to talk with Mr. Nityanad, so all the promises and story becomes clear from where it was started. But, he is unable to connect me to him and not able to give me his contact mail address or phone no. He, promised me that Mr. Nityanand will contact me on my Mobile [protected]. But, till now he was not called me. Reason is, same request made by me to Vaishali also, she told me that Mr. Nityanand is on leave. But, Mr. Roy says he forwarded my request to give call to me by Mr. Nityanand today evening. Who is correct Ms. Vaishali or Mr. Roy. Anyway, still I am not received any call from your side. Now, I am giving you this mail with hope that it will resolved A.S.A.P. Because, as per Mr. Roy, another week means 25th of this month. Then, somehow you people will tell me that it will resolve soon, and then end of the month. You, have excuse to say it is already a month. NOT POSSIBLE TO CANCEL THE POLICY. I don’t want to do such.
Now, I am expecting quick reply from your side as well from Mr. Nityanand or his team.
In short, my query is I want to cancel my policy no. MRP[protected] with immediate effect and I am ready to left 1915/-Rs. Only as a cancellation charge promised by Mr. Nityanand on 31st March 2009. Not, 4500/- as a cancellation charges.

TATA-AIG General Insurance — Policy Documents not received

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have purchased a Tata-AIG General Insurance with HSBC Credit Card on monthly payment basis in month of March 2009. And Till date I have not received any document from them although every month money has been deducted from HSBC Card to Tata-AIG Account. I have called them a number of times and only they promise to send the document within 7-10 days but till I am looking for that 7-10 days. Already they registered compalint 3 times. Kindly find the details of policy no and complaint No made against for not receiving policy doc.

TATA AIG — DOCUMENT NOT RECEIVED

I am holding Kotak Credit card for quite some time now ..On 28/04/2009 I had received an SMS from TATA AIG that my credit card had been debited by 6203 with reference to Policy number ..Prior to this had clearly stated that please do not debit any amount prior till I see the docs in hand or thru mail ..
Even I had received an SMS that I will receive the documents in next 7 days of 28/04/2009 , but I have not received the document till date - 22.12.09..
I had complained to all possible places - bank, credit card dept, Tata AIG to return back my amount which is debited ..
But no response had been received ..

I want my credit card to be credit of 6203 as I have lost faith due to the harassment ..

TATA AIG General insurance LTD — documents not received

Dear Sir,

I did health insurance policy online on 02/12/2009, Cheque No: 0948857, Amount:

Rs. 8726.00. This amount was deducted from my HDFC Account: [protected].

But still i haven't got any document from your side.

So, Plz. send the document at my Permanent address.

TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE — Not receiving papers

Dera sir,
After detail telephonic discussion I had sent requisite premium Rs.2312/- to Mumbai office. The said amount has already been credited from my bank account but I have not received any paper till date. Kindly send detail as early as possible otherwise I will take further step.

I am a life long customer of TATAAIG I am from tamil nadu My Father purchase a Travel guard silver
policy with tata aig .when see travel to abroad he met an accident there and addmitted in the hospital
on that time i inform about it to your office .they give ref no to me i called nearly 30 times for claimming
purpose but i not get proper response from your side, i post all my documents by speed post and also
by mail till now i not known the status of our claim and our claim number is[protected] please response
as soon as possible
