Hi,

I am Akanksha Agrawal and I joined VLCC Patiala in second week of May, 2009. I am highly dissatisfied with their service and the reasons for the same are as follows:-
1. The day I joined VLCC, I was told of a package (50% off) with certain complementary services. The whole package was as follows

5 tummy tuch
5 hip tuck
5 thigh tuck
2 body therapy
1 hair cut
1 VLCC facial
10 kgs weight loss

1. This was the package told to me in Rs.17000 all inclusive. And I told Mrs.Ravneet that I'll be here in Patiala till July, 20th. Now, there were two staff Ms Harkeerat and Mrs. Ravneet. Initial consultation was given to me by Mrs. Ravneet but the day I came to deposit my first installment of cash of Rs.7000 and confirm my final package...above was stated by Ms. Harkeerat and henceforth I deposited the cash amount. When they gave me the receipt of Rs.7000, I found package amount to be Rs.17500 which was Rs.500 more than what I was promised by Ms. Harkeerat. The receptionist said it was just for the books and I need not pay Rs. 500 extra. But still I found this practise unusual and not right and hence I made a note on the receipt that Rs. 10000/- was due only and not Rs. 10500/-.

2. The next day when I came for my FIRST session, Mrs. Ravneet started shouting on me that this is not possible. You'll have to pay Rs.17500 which I said wasn't what was promised to me. Ms. Harkeerat promised me something else which Mrs. Ravneet wasn't agreeing to. I never had asked Ms.Harkeerat to consult with me...but since Ravneet wasnt available she did so. The staff has no cordination between themselves and then they blame the customer for it.

3. Mrs. Ravneet told me that she cannot write this package on the books(my VLCC book that they maintain) because its a huge package and she'll be questioned on that and hence it will be a personal thing between her and me. I initially didnt agree to her but she assured that she'll make sure that my package will be complete and nothing less will happen than promised. I still kept telling her that its better you write it on the book because if by chance she leaves the job who will cater. She didnt bother much on that and I also forgot.

4. Till may end I had received not even a single tuck session but whenever I came they gave me weight loss session.

5. When my first tuck session was scheduled...When I reached ...I was told its cancelled. I said you should have informed me beforehand and a lame excuse that they were trying my cell but couldnt reach me was given.

6. Also, the dietician when I consulted her told me that Mrs, Ravneet has registered me in a wrong package for my body, I should have taken the package of Body Therapy and not this for that wa more appropiate for me. When I told Ravneet about the same, she said this is also good enough for you. I dont understand whose advice to follow and whose not in the SAME VLCC CENTRE.

7. Now, when suddenly I was told from my company people people to shif to Mumbai in 10-15 days time. I told the VLCC Centre people about this..They adviced me to complete my package within a week by daily giving me tuck seesions. I found this highly inappropiate and asked them whether good results will come or not...they assured me that result will be good enough. But during that week I found not even 1 kg weight loss from my body and felt highly unsatisfied. I stopped going and then had to go to mumbai so I told Ravneet that I'll be back to complete my package.

8. Now when I am back, they say I have used Rs.5600/- of my package which I totally disagree with. They have included charges for a Body therapy which was given to me complementary. Ok, even if I agree to that, they have charged me for 2 kgs weight loss which was actually 1.6kgs. They say they cant charge for 1.6 kgs so they have charged for 2 kgs. I totally disagree on this for every gram I loose has a cost so why not the 400 grams that I havent lost???

9. I have been trying to contact Ms. Harkeerat since day before but she seems to be very busy and never returned my call only till yesterday when she called to tell me that I have used Rs.5600 of services which when I disagreed to ...she hardly bothered to justify me.
Then I told her to give me some VLCC slimming product if you cant return my money..she disagreed. I asked give me some beauty package but she said...she will confirm and call back. She never called back and when I called today she disagreed to this also.

10. The Centre people know that I am not going to stay for long and hence wont be able to take tuck session which is totally a waste of money if taken daily and hence they are avoiding me by not given back call or finding a solution to pay me back the extra money that they have of MINE. They say they cant give it back to me. This means they will keep this Rs.1400 which is actually far more according to me in their pockets for NO SERVICE. This is my hard earned money and I dont want to waste even a penny without a reason.

I have enlisted all my problems above and expect a compensation for all the troubles that this centre has caused to me and the misguidance and miscommitment that was given to me.

There was a response from the company but they agreed for Rs.1400 services for me to avail in Mumbai. This is not at all near to what I have availed.

I was given two options:
1. To use my amount for beauty/slimming treatment
2. transfer this amount to VLCC in Mumbai if I join.

Now, the first option isn't possible because I have already left Patiala. I kept telling Ms. harkeerat that I'll be leaving within two days and she never did a back call. Was using DELAYED TACTICS.

For the second option, I am going to Vashi and if there is a VLCC there then only can I use this amount there. And after such a bad experience I hardly can think of going back to VLCC Centre again.

Also, the amount claimed by them Rs.1400 is far less than what services i have used.Beacuse-
a. Only 1.6kgs were lost for which they charged me for 2 kgs
b. 1 Body therapy was given complementary to me initially, later they charged me for that.
c. I was given continous tuck session 4 in a week which resulted in no weight loss. But still they kept advicing me for more tuck and wanted me to come daily to just finish off the package.
d. Since in that week there was no weight losss as compared to 4 tuck sessions, they themselves gave me a Body therapy instead and charged me for that. I told Ms. Harkeerat about the same but she hardly listened.

After such a bad experience I expect refund of the RIGHT AMOUNT. Also compensation for all the trouble and misguidance given to me in terms of package selection, lots of tuck given continuously which led to no weight loss and for taking a customer for granted.

    VLCC, one of India's Health & Beauty Center.

    They sold coupons worth Rs500/- in July, 2009. In total they gave 18coupons valid for 12months in which you get various items like Hair Cut, Facial & freebies.

    But whenever I am going to VLCC siutated at ANSAL Plaza, Ludhiana; they are saying "Come with Appointment'; when you call them to take appointment they say 'they have no appointment available as they are full', come other day.

    They donot want to honour coupons they sold to public.

    This particular scheme is at VLCC, third floor, Ansal Plaza, Ludhiana.

    But they are always free if you have to get paid service.

    The company is pathetic, bad, poor service. Even when asked for refunding Rs500/- they say talk to person who sold coupons.

    This company is making fool of people. Even their customer care is not listening.

      This refers to the VLCC GUARANTEED WEIGHT REDUCTION package i paid for where in i was assured and guaranteed for my weight reduction. I was very serious to reduce my weight urgently. My weight was 81 Kgs when I started getting your sessions. My present weight is still 89 Kgs. As I accepted the package and already paid VLCC the agreed amount of Rs 16, 000 /-(invoice/Bill No. PK/003043 Dated 09/06/2007, Package no. P[protected] and started attending the exercise sessions/treatments and strictly followed their instruction.

      Unfortunately, there were no results at all. Rather I started gaining further weight. It was ridiculous and I want to protest strongly against this fraud. .They have wasted my valuable time and money. It is a criminal breach of trust.


      VLCC WEIGHT REDUCTION claim is completely false, misleading and amounting to cheating.

      I had a similar frustrating experience with VLCC as most of you and other hundreds of VLCC customers who are not that vocal. I have relocated to a Hyderabad and now VLCC is not transferring my membership to Hyderabad which essentially means that I am going to loose the money I paid to them for slimming.

      I am planning to file a legal complain againest them and it would be better if any of you wants to join me for the same

      Despite of all these, their franchise business expands and Vasuhndhara becomes a millionarie...How is this happening?
      Kindly check your thyroid levels, since i had the same issue (not with Vlcc though). I joined the gym and began gaining weight inspite of working out for 2 hours daily. Thyroid problem will neva allow you to lose weight easily.

        I had taken LASER hair removal from bangalore Branck- koramangala. That therapist - Ruheena burnt all my LEGS.. leaving me with BLACK BLISTERS all over. I had to consult a doc later for medications and for the pain to subside. Called the center next day spoke to the owner - DEBORATHI. No action is taken. She is very chilled out she asked me to apply some cream (huh)

        I have spent almost 1 lakh rupees in this VLCC center and this is what i get- paying them to get some paermanent marks and hell lot of mental/physical turmoil. I wish to sue them.. but unfortunately in our country consumers dont have too much power.

        Dont know how this complaint works, who will take the action.. but as i searched on net got this site so submitting the same. Some legal action has to be taken for cheating innocent people

        Why are u blaming country ? let me tell you.. Customer is king in INDIA, only thing you need to do, is take initiative and SUE them. You may even get 1 lakh Rs back...yaa keep your doctor prescription and report ...I am sure you will be considered ...

          Dear,

          Two months back I joined VLCC(Udaipur centre) for weight loss.Due to some reason I could attend only two initial sessions ..A month after I Received a call from the Centre that the validity of the Package is only 45 days which is about to expire and this was not told to me when i joined the package..On my Visit to the centre and after a long discussion they extended the validity by 15 days.Within a week or so I fall Sick where I immediately informed the centre that I want to discontinue with the package and aked them to adjust my money in whatever form they could...I did not receive any reply from the centre for another 20 days ..I gave them number of calls but the centre co ordinator never attended the call and every time her staff gave me a reply that she is busy and cannot attend the call ..than again I called up on 22.04.09 where as usual the centre co ordinator did not attend the call but one of her staff replied that they will forfiet the 50% of the amount I paid and for the remaining 50% I can avail any services from them but before 30.04.09 because they had to do the target closing of that particular month..when I asked her not to keep the validity clause she refused by saying that she is not the authority and cannot decide ..she can only execute what was instructed to her ...After waiting for 3-4 days and when no revert received from the centre I personaly visited the Centre and the centre co ordinator (Ms Shehnaz) was available there but refused to meet..I even asked staff to pass a message to Centre co ordinator to settle my money by giving me the cosmetics of the balance amount ...on that also she misbehaved and asked me to come some other day and said that before coming I would have taken an appointment from her ..She was extremly rude not only to me but was shouting on her staff in front of customers which was highly unprofessional behaviour .This is my request to the Management of VLCC to train their staffs in terms of customer services and not to cheat the customers as we trust the Brand name but if this would be the case than there would be negative publicity of mounth which will definetly impact the image of VLCC and finaly I hope that I would receive a solution of my problem

            i paid througm my atm card for VLCC slimming package later i was not able to attend the slimming sessions due to some of my compulsions .i opted to withdraw the package but they are refusing to refund my money back

              Hi,

              I bought a skin treatment package numbered '[protected]' from VLCC Health care Ltd, Sec-60, DSC, Sector- 23 A, Gurgoan on 22/12/2008 for Rs. 11236.

              I had seleted the Gurgoan center as its very near to my office. I availed 6 sitting out of 10 and due to typhoid I was not able to complete rest 4 sessions. I called my Counsellor MRS. Ruchi Milli, who assured me that I could continue after my typhoid treatment.

              By chance my company transferred me to Noida office from Gurgoan office.
              I discussed all this with Ruchi Milli and she again assured me to transfer my sitting to Delhi VLCC branch near to my home.

              It was around 2-3 months back…VLCC guys are taking no actions..They are simply rotating and manipulating the things…

              Please do the needful, so that I can avail my 4 already paid sitting ..

                Cheating case against VLCC

                I had joined VLCC by paying them an amount of Rs 43, 259 in Oct 2007 thru my credit card ( for which I am still paying 36% annual interest). They promised me a weight loss of 20 kgs within 3 months. After regularly following their instructions I have not lost a single kg. I had filed a complaint with the Consumer forum, Noida on Sep 2008 against VLCC for cheating me & misguiding me. I have won the case ( Case No 357/2008) & the court...

                This is in regarding to the wrong information given to the customers for collecting memberships by VLCC DLF PH 1 gurgaon center

                I joined Vlcc Gym on 6th Nov 08 looking at the facilities (sauna & steam) and timings 5AM to 10PM which were in accordance with my daily schedule.
                Let me inform you that i had joined a gym from july08 which was walking from my home and my only reason for switching over from that gym to vlcc(quite far from my home) was because of sauna, steam & suitable timings

                Within two weeks from the date of joining 6 NOV 08, your sauna steam facility is closed for the next 4 months and your timings are changed 6am to 9 pm till feb --> which was not informed to me while joining even when i told that i am working in a company in greater Noida (70 kms away from Gurgaon), and can come only late to gym -ie may 8: 30 pm or 9: 00 pm or may be in the morning at 5 AM

                I have taken this membership for 6 months, out of which for the next 4 months sauna steam will not be working and due to your new timings i dont think i can come to gym for more than 4 or 5 times in a month.

                This change of timing is happening from last 4 years. nothing new to Vlcc . If this was case then while taking membership then why it was not informed to me

                If there was a seapage problem in Sauna Steam, then why it was not informed to me that It will be closed for 4 months in some time.

                This is a clear case of CHEATING and playing with around with customers.

                I have decided not to continue my link with VLCC in any manner

                So my request to you is to cancel my membership and refund the amount at the earliest.

                You must lodge a complaint with the Consumer Redressal Forum I lodged a case against VLCC and got a favourable verdict VLCC is a company which only knows how to cheat people.

                  VLCC claims that they do transfers for packages if intimation is provided. I have given them intimation for a break for 3 months and a transfer of my package to other city but still no action is taken and after giving them strong follow up for 1 month they are just giving 25% of transfer of package.
                  While taking money they committ different stories to the client and now its completely different.
                  Dear Mr.Arun Saxena (President - International Consumer Rights Protection Council (ICRPC) ),

                  I kindly need your intervention in this. Today morning I have received a call from VLCC Call Centre saying that they can not refund my money because they don’t have any Refund System. Where as in any condition I am unable to continue with their Sessions. At my joining time also I wasn’t sure because my Transfer was in process so I asked them that if I am unable to continue with the sessions than how will they consider my payment ? They told me that I can take my money back. They didn’t tell that this money is not refundable & it is not mentioned in their cash memo also that this money is not refundable. My bill number is PKN007616. My package number is[protected]. They told me to pay Rs.10146 whereas I only paid 7000 coz I was not sure about their reliability. They have given me a receipt also in which Rs.3000 is still Balance But now they are denying. Please let me know if I can file a complaint aganst them ? And kindly let me know the procedure also..
                  hi, my name is richa even i have some really bad experience with VLCC ..i shuddder t omerntion they have the most obnoxious staff, the servicesa re absolutetly abhorable .They are only intrested in eating up naive, trusting custmer's monay .the cebnter i visited was in DLF but i think all the VLCC centers have the same principle of cheating the customers.
                  I joined their weight loss programme - the only thing that became thinner was my pocket !!
                  i suggest to everyone reading this ...PLEASE DO NOT join VLCC .
                  they are only intrested in robbing you !! the only service they will give you is lip service -sweet talk, nice smile .. that too as long as you have not paid .after that all you have to do is wait ... or pay more ...of just forget it all in frustration ...

                  i agree with u both. yes i have also burnt my fingers. but mine is from their training institute. i want to get my money and now even compensation back. but not just hepening.

                  Our government keeps sayng consumers get ur rights. but i am sorry to say that its not possible. one is there is notbody to help. plus for people with an ok amount to recover like a few thousands to spend double the amount, follow up with the court plus for 2 -3 or more years is ridiculous.

                  how do we get justice. We as consumers want to get out rights and teach such places a lesson. let them know the power of consumers.

                  else at this rate they will win.. and such organisations prosper on our money.

                  I got the same bad experience. I live in sharjah and visited one of the branch here. I just got two sessions And came to know that my husband has lost his job. I requested my counselor to refund my money as I am leaving this country and won't be able to continue. But they just refused and asked me to find other clients so we can transfer the account. I have told them that I'm not in my proper mental state right now and if they can help me on humanitarian ground as i paid 10000 dirhams. Still no reply!!! In this scenario, VLCC is loosing its ethics and customer chain. They should consider consumer rights and they should think that they are dealing with humans not with commodities. I really advice the customers for not joining VLCC. With all the bad wishes to VLCC

                  ohhh really...don't give wrong promises to customers as u r not able to give even normal service

                  it's true i have paid 70000 and now they are not giving me cash back as i am not able to continue
                  To VLCC,

                  don't make fake and false promises, coz i have mailed you twice and no one respond . From last 3 weeks i have been trying to contact higher authorities but instead of admin or advisers, SECURITY GUARD receives the calls and all the time all advisers are on meal breaks or in meetings . Each and every time i call customer care they respond by saying we will call you back but we didn't get any call or mail . such a pathetic service . no one should join VLCC

                    there is no proper privacy at vlcc beauty parlour.(manglore branch). as the door to de womens section is only partly covered. men keep staring inside while on de way to their section ..its very annoying nd makes me and many others very uncomfortable.as parlour is a place where privacy is a must. i like de services there very much but as there is no privacy i ve discontinued gng n of my friends.. we r not actually happy else where.. it would be your kindness i[censored] take this matter seriously as we would like to return to u..

                    I am a loyal customer of VLCC from past 18 months .

                    I frequently use to visit VLCC center (greater Noida) without prior appointment.One day when I made a visit to VLCC, the staff not allowed to serve me (without prior appointment).

                    I was in emergency that day to make the haircut.

                    So, I visited Javed Habib saloon Noida (sector -18) and they gave a customer delight experience by offering me loyalty service ( loyalty card with 100 rs off instantly)

                    Being a Greater noida Resident I prefer to visit Javed habib saloon rather then VLCC

                    I advice you to learn How to retain valuable customers????

                    Hi joined vlcc for 20kg weightloss, only 2kg i lost, i cant contiue further where i joined so asked for transfer
                    they didnt accept, then manager told you can use it any center, after that one more official saying no i dont give like that, now i wasted money, telling me give this pakcage as agift to your friend etc, at the time ounselling they did many promise nothing can be done, when ask transfer telling many stories like 30% reduction will be there like that, vlcc cheating customers, am sure of that.vlcc is not vanthana luthra curves and curls its vanthana luthra cheater and cheats.

                    This is regards to VLCC (Koramangala) Service
                    Since I was very tired from my work, I opted for Aroma Oil Massage at so called VLCC.The service given to me was a night mare...The pathetic service I have ever experienced...the staff is so poorly trained that they alwaz prefer their comfort first than the client...There is no co-ordination between the staff itself...I request all guys n gals not to believe in their wrong commitments...Instead go to Ayurveda centers where you will feel n enjoy the actual relaxation...Shame on VLCC Service...Whenever you hear VLCC, the ans should be NO NO...
