[Resolved]  Vodafone — HARASSMENT CAUSED BY VODAFONE

This is Vikram Sethi from Abohar (Pb.). I have a Big Grievance against
Vodafone for harassing my Dad, (Mr. Subhash Chander Sethi)
Actually,My Dad was a customer of VodafoneI.e. [protected].Customer ID-1
15182669. On 9 Nov. 2009, We gave a written request to Vodafone Store (Durga
Communications Abohar) for suspension of services without further.Female
Representative accepted it and made me talk to Vodafone Customer Care
executive for convincing me to continue! As,He flunked to convince me
Representative accepted my request for disconnection and told ,''Permanent
disconnection will be done after paying Bill''. I nodded and said I will pay
it,As I will receive the copy of my Bill. After that day, We didn't use
[protected] at all.Well, We got the Bill on 21 Nov. 2009 and We paid it all
(Rs. 486) On 23, Nov. 09 along with a SIM CARD,NEW REQUEST LETTER as said
by Vodafone customer care AND XEROX OF VOTER ID.Representative destroyed
that sim and told ''Your number will be disconnected permanently in few
minutes''.

On 15 Jan. 2010,I got an E-bill (ONLY RENTAL) from Vodafone. I contacted the
customer care and asked to update the database,But No Response! I again
e-mailed my complaint to numerous of times, But No body became ''HAPPY TO
HELP ME''.Next month again, I got an E-bill Rent to me. I again complained
on 15 Jan 2010 and asked to ameliorate the services, But again No response
at all!!!!!!!!!!!! You can see how pathetic and cruddy service your service
is!!!!!!!!!

After that , I made numerous of complaints to Mr.ARVIND DHIMAN,vodafonecare
[protected]@vodafone.com and other available e-mails against this wholly cruddy and
unprofessional Service of Vodafone!!!!!! But still no response!!!!!!!!Sorry
to enounce ,But Your employees have made VODAFONE a bloody -hole!!!where
professionalism and Integrity are still searching their place!!! Customer
should be coined as a King, But your Bloody incompetent and Rude employees
treat customers like a cut-throat dog!!

Limit got crossed, When,On 13 March, Afternoon, My Dad got a call from
Vodafone.He threatened and abused my Dad very Badly and asked to pay Rs. 400
immediately, otherwise, the result will be horrendous!!!,He added.After
talking to him, My Dad got heavy stress and hypertension.Vodafone threatened
and abused my Dad without any fault! Vodafone tried to assault and exploit
my Dad!Vodafone harassed a Heart-Patient and caused hypertension to whole
family without any fault! Vodafone is dreading people...I never expected
such a bloody rude, cheap and unprofessional Behaviour from such a Famed
GLOBAL BRAND! This is highly Behaviignoble as well as implausible our done
by Vodafone!

Why the hell, We should pay for what we haven't used??? Why??????Its not a
matter of just some 400 bucks,But a matter of above all Integrity towards
consumers.Its dead annoying... And such type of Behaviour towards a
respectable and honest person is not bearable at all! We followed all the
procedures whatsoever told by Durga communications to disconnect the number
permanently.Our Fault is what that We are honest??? Vodafone has become a
menace for us! Abruptly,without giving any information your people begin to
harass us!

Dearie! Today i.e. 15th March is the WORLD CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY and on this day in 1962,
President Kennedy had declared four consumer rights,Which you have forgotten
totally, Let me remind you! Right to safety- We have a right to safety,Your
company has become a jeopardy for us. Its yours Executive's fault that she
didn't disconnect the number in spite of getting written request and Full
payment on 23 Nov 2009 from customer and you are imposing this flub on us
rudely!We have a right to be informed, But no reminder or Information (via
email,reply,phone,sms,fax) was given to us regarding this!Were you
celebrating a slumber party in Vodafone ??????????????????????????I am
awaking you by sending e-mails asking for clarification or making complaints
But I get no response!!! Is this a way vodafone become HAPPY TO HELP????
Instead of help use ''HAPPY TO HARASS'' 3rd is I have a right to choose, I
chosen to change my operator due to non satisfaction and your employees
didn't let us opt this right yet!!! AND 4th right is to be heard, I have a
right to be heard! Without listening, Abruptly, Your executives tried to
molest us by giving threatening call! This is thorough appalling,Aberrant
Behaviour done by VODAFONE!After observing these rights, I entitle to be
redressed! Isn't it?

Vodafone — Disconnection and harassment

I’ve been a Hutch customer for I don’t know how long. Till you (Vodafone) stepped in, it was a good experience. However, the last few weeks have been harrowing, to say the least.



By all definition, I should be a premium customer. I had a Blackberry, a national and international roaming, an ISD call facility, a voicemail and whatever else. When I quit my job at Principal, all services on my phone were discontinued without any warning and I was literally threatened by your customer service executive (don’t remember the name) that I had to go to the store and sort this out. The reason given was the shift from an individual to the corporate account. Interestingly, before Principal (two-n-a-half-years back), I had an individual account for years with all the premium services. Hence, it is a bit ridiculous that you disconnect the phone. Just because your records aren’t straight, why I suffer.



Well, so far so bad. I then went to your Vodafone store at Peninsula Corporate Park and asked the customer service execs – Shanawaz and Shilpa Poojary – to do whatever was necessary (yes, WHATEVER WAS NECESSARY in capital) to activate the services since I was traveling to China and had to have an international roaming and an ISD service. I was asked to pay Rs1500 (despite as much credit in my account) and was categorically told that everything would be alright and I need not worry. The day I started my travel my phone was disconnected. Remember, this was despite my plea that I’m willing to pay and do whatever for continuing services on the phone. When I came back and approached Shanawaz again, he was cold and said services were discontinued for lack of documentation. I argued that I had got the necessary documentation and also paid some arbit amount for getting full service but he pleaded ignorance. Since, there was nothing else I could do, I waited and submitted my passport copy, signed some documents and the phone got re-connected after a couple of hours. Needless to say, my business loss was tremendous in that whole week.



Now, I find that my phone has been disconnected again. Your telephone executive (Samir) tells me that the reason is because the documents are in transit. After a week since the documents were submitted and the phone re-connected, how can documents be in transit? His boss, Tushar, refuses to come on line and I am told that my phone will be re-connected in another couple of hours. I don’t have to do anything, this time, apparently!!



What the hell is happening? I hope you realize that the only reason I am behind you is because of number portability… I can’t get the same number with another service provider. I can now understand why you guys are lobbying against it… because your service is and you know customers will switch. If you don’t want a customer why don’t you just tell him that he can’t stay. You have no right, whatsoever, to agree to render service and not do it, damn it!



I had to perforce buy a new connection from Airtel to switch my value-added services like Blackberry, ISD, etc. In a scenario, where companies struggle to keep premium, credit-worthy and high networth subscribers, you guys are actually subjecting them to a harrowing time. Surprise!!



Since, you guys have subjected me to this torture and I have had meaningful business losses, I wish to sue you and/or take you to consumer court. Haven’t done this before so it would be nice if you could advise me how to get a redressal.

Yes, I agree to the words of Mr.Srinivasan. I experienced the same with the great Vodafone. My new connection was activated by the Sion-Mumbai Office after receipt of my address proof, Photo ID proof. But my connection has been disconnected with in 3 days. The reason i was told, pls visit your nearest vodafone centre and your connection will be activated. I went to same Sion-Mumbai office they activated the connection in 2 hrs period. That time i have been told by the executive this is because of during address verification no body was at home!! Is this possible that we could sit at home for the executives visit? Again that inteligent executive visited the place and gave miss call to my mobile. (I thought that some one known to me is giving miss call due to some urgency) And i called him back. He replied sir, i am at your home are you styaing in the same address and other formal questions. I answered all his questions. That time i particularly asked that guy is there any other thing is required from my side pls tell me my connection should not be disconnected. He said no sir, nothing to worry verification is over for your mobile. Then next day evening i received a call from one of the call centre of vodafone. They once again confirmed me the address for billing. After 24 hours once again my outgoing calls was disconnected. I got shocked and called the customer executive. The reply i got from the (girl i dont remember the name) executive was so irresponsible. We cant do any thing your address verification is not completed because of that your mobile credit limit is set upto 500 Rs. You make an interim payment then your connection will be activated. If we want to get a credit limit of 500 rs. and making payment freequently for making our outgoing calls. What is the need of having Post paid connection? This happend 3 more times more. I requested the call centre people to tell your honerable executive to visit my place i took leave for 2 days only for that fellow ant sitting at home. They said dont worry sir he will be visiting your place in 24 hours. I was at home from Thurse day to Sunday but no one visited my place for verification. Again my connection disconnected. That was very very horrible day for me i want to make some imporated and emegency STD calls my out going service disconnected. I called the customer care executive and explained him i made online fund transfer of Rs.1600 pls activate my connection. That time all the juniors gave differenct differenct answers. One fellow said in 2 hrs your connection will be activated. 2nd person in 24 hrs your connection will be activated. At last at nignt 10 pm i spoke to one senior called "Subhash" gave me a valuable reply sorry you give me the transaction details in full i will activate your connection. I explained him pls i need to make some emergency call activate my connection til tommorow morning if am not giving the details you required de activate my connection immtly. The answer i have been said sorry sir, for this you have to approach some STD booth i can help you for this. What irresponsible answer and adivicing the customer for going to public booth??? After completion of all i received the bill for 2200 Rs. The worder full thing in that is they billed wrongly for 765 rs. extra. for that i have been tortured to pay extra as interim payment of Rs.1600. Now their reply is sorry. Now that valueable and responsible call centre senior "Subash" will pay the amount and interest for my extra payment received from me? AGAIN THEY ARE TORTURING ME NOW YOUR CREDIT LIMIT IS EXCEEDING PLS MAKE AN INTERIM PAYMENT. TILL DATE THE EXTRA BILLED AMOUNT NOT BEEN CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT.

ONLY ONE WORD VODAFONE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES ARE NOT DOING CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST DEFENDING THE CUSTOMERS AND TORTURING THE CUSTOMERS. NOTHING TO SAY MORE.

TRAI IS MAKING STRONG THE SYSTEMS IN MSO (MULTI SERVICE ORGANISATION) BUT THEY WANT TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION FOR BAD SERVICE ALSO. I AM SURE THEY (VODAFONE) WON'T BOTHER FOR ANY THING.

IF ANY ONE READY TO SUPPORT ME I AM ALSO READY TO FIGHT AGAINST THESE SERVICE PROVIDERS.
My brother have brought a vodofone prepaid connection.Last one or two day no.have seen a problem.the problem is received call, when the call, s coming, then no. have seen private no.pl.solution this problem.i have submit my mail id 5 or 6 days before.Pl solve this problem very soon.The no. is [protected].Pl check this no.

Just 7 or 8 days before my brother have take a vodafone prepaid connection.But last two days this nos service have barred.my brother have submit his mail id.But vodafone service say that when you are not depoist your documents, your incoming have been disconnect.Pl sir start my number.the no. is [protected].

i m getting very inoffensive calls from this vodafone no. [protected]...i have already complainted in police but there is no result as far...I would like to get all the details of this no. in my emial id..
They are charging me Rs30/- per month for WOD service please deactivate this service from My mobile My No[protected] They are also charging me for World Record Alerts 50/- per month Please Deactivate both services
