I had submitted the application for the Voters ID for myself and my wife on 15/09/09. Till date we have not yet got any correspondence on the satatus. We were informed that the same will be delivered before the Maharashtra state assembly election. It's been over 3 months since the submission of the same and absolutely no update about the status.

Myself Mr.mahadeb Kundu.I am a local photographer & also Nadia district reporter of a renowned News Channel.In last Parliament Election(May 11,2009) i was worked as a video & still photographer in Santipur Police Station for the purpose of local election coverage.As per the discussion with police station i have charged Rs.3000 (per hour Rs.450 .Total 7hr.).I have succesfully done the work as per the requirement.After election I have submitted the bill & all necessary documents.But till now the amount has not clear.I informed this matter for several times to the police station.But from their side i am not getting any type of confirmation.I Request you please take the neccessary steps as early possible.

i fail to understand that why webcams were not installed in the first place at all centres doing election work and why the
correct date of birth
correct address was not input there and then by viewing light bill /pass book/property tax etc and
the voter id printed and laminated there and then like BIG HOSPITALS and given.
i ALSO FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN LARGE VOLUMES OF DATABASES CAN BE SMOOTHLY HANDLED AT ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES ACCEPTING MONEY like these offices:
RTO/ electricity/ municipal taxes/ income tax and pan nos/ students answering board and university exams/ banks.

then it is a shame on INDIA AND A CITY LIKE PUNE and THE ELECTION COMMISSION, where not a single voter id has been made correctly and in the first attempt AND it seems that the private software company does not cooperate with the govt staff because it enjoys the patronage of the election commission who has directly appointed it.

the rural typing staff OF THIS CERTAIN PRIVATE SOFTWARE COMPANY lacks communication and politeness and language skills and insist on colossal wastage of govt stationery of form nos 6 and 8 making applicants fill the forms over and over again and forcing them to paste fotografs,

WHY ARE FOTOGRAPHS OF CERTAIN CITIZENS NOT SCANNED THERE AND THENif they have exams and problems during their data collection days.

the arrogant staff says scanner saathi punha tender kaadhava laagel anhi durusti saathi parat 8 no bhara amhi fakt foto kaadhto baki ami nai karnaar .

shame on pune and india that boasts of itself as the software city where the voter id process has been worse than bullock cart age.hope SOME MEDIA GUYS READ THIS AND INSTEAD OF DOING timepass with kids who fall in the pit and crimes they even address meaningful genuine issues.

Ialso fail to imagine that when there are so many people who can fill their data correctly online WHY DID THE ELECTION OFFICE NOT ENCOURAGE THIS??
further these people in a selected period of time say a certain week or month/s (should give appointment datelike passport office online itself) should be asked to visit the election office with PROOFS such as light bills licence etc and it should be authenticated online by STAFF AND officials nominated and there and then the id should be printed laminated and given.

thereafter all those who dont know how to read write fill online such as slumdwellers villagers and others should be dealt with.

I fail to understand that when so many educated citizens can assist in this way and the work could have been DONE FLAWLESSLY AND FAULTLESSLY in a single stroke WHY DID THE ELECTION COMMISSION NOT UTILISE THE POTENTIAL OF THE EDUCATED INDIA,,, do the officers of election commission have vested interests of minting money thru stationery and software services tenders and companies???? OR ARE THEY uneducated without visions and ideas ?or does the nation not HAVE MONEY AT ALL? DESPITE COLLECTING ALL KINDS OF TAXES.

SHAME ON OUR COUNTRY AND ITS WAYS OF WORKING

I think all those without BPL ration cards would have willingly paid up for receiving a GOOD QUALITY VOTER ID and a correct one with ADDRESS details DEPICTING SANITY in one attempt only.

THE APPOINTED SOFTWARE COMPANIES AND ELECTION COMMISSION SHOULD RECEIVE THE WORST PROFESSIONAL AND WORST PATRIOT AWARD FOR THIS YEAR.

sir,i have been pursuing voter id matter of me& my family(son,myself,husband)for past one plus year.first we were made to run around at swargate office where we submitted forms with photos.there was absolutely no result and all over again we were made tosubmit forms at collector kacheri with xeroxes and photos, thereafter all over again at ward office hadapsar here they photographed us AND TILL NOW WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED VOTER ID OUR NAMES ARE IN THE LIST BUT EVERYTIME THERE IS NEW MISTAKE EITHER PHOTOGRAPH IS WRONG OR DATE OF BIrTH IS WRONG OR ADDRESS IS WRONG.and the private company operator who sits there argues with tahsildaar madam and does not do the work though she speaks so politely with him he gives excuses and for nearly every citizen in pune newer forms have been filled several times and everytime this private software company makes a mistake and charges the government.to mint money continuously they are doing it and NOBODY HAS CONTROL OVER IT IT LOOKS LIKE BECAUSE THIS SOFTWARE CO.is enjoying support of the election commission they say.it is shameful for a city like pune to have such chaos.i have submitted aleast one doz photos and forms till now.they said for those who are not physically present photos to be affixed and forms submitted I HAVE DONE THIS N NO OF TIMES for my son who has exams in professional college out of pune but to no avail. now the comp guy says scanner nahi hai tender nikalo wapis fir layenge ab webcam lagaya hai sirf photo khinchne ke liye. when asked ki light bill dekho license dekho ration card dekho aur abi address and wrong details correctkaro TO MADAM KO BHI KEHTA HAI ANHI wapis uske liye alagh se 8 no some form bharo fir se usse b foto lagao.SO FUNNY AJ FIR FOTO LAGA KE FORM DE KAR AYEE HU sir kab tak aise chalega? two elections me maine bina voter id ke vote daala haiIF YOU DONT TAKE ACTION THEN I THINK PUNE WILL NEVER GET VOTER ID TILL next elections.i am afraid to go to collector to ask the rot so i write to you please ask them to ISSUE FAST AND SEND PRESS TO COVER THIS MATTER if you think it is false but see that pune receives correct voter ids and fast dont pay the s/w company again and again for their careless mistakes till correct ids are issued.

if the large volume of database of school and college students cpuld be handled

similarly telefones mobile fones and municipal taxes and property registration offices

THEN WHY WHY AND WHY WEBCAMS ARE NOT INSTALLED IN THE FIRST PLACE AND WHY IS PAPER WORK INCREASE SO MANY TIMES AND CITIZENS forced to fill form fifty fifty times and lists are printed several times woith errors AT WHOSE COST IS ALL THIS??

and i think that the computer company does not want to go out of business ever at all SO IT KEEPS MAKING AND MAKING NEWER MISTAKES after it rectifies one and blames election commission and mantralay but is this good that some rustic data entry fellows and herds of govt officials making educated citizens run around the city and bringing them to tears and PASSING THE BALL NOT ANSWERING PROPERLY and not giving voter ids at all?

what does one do if the govt machinery takes your foto and you submit fifty still and their database shows foto not available!

Dear sir, I am mohan, my native place is coimbatore am resident at past 23 years

now am 23 years old, i went to corporation office Election commision of india department to enroll my name in voter list and requested to issue Voter card.

They said now the process is going on befrore Dcember the government staff will come door to door to collect new application, so they did not accept my application for the Voter ID card.

I am submitted my Two passport size photographs, Ration card for address proof, pass port and School leving certificate for my ID and Age proof respectively.

there is no response about my voter card even they did not accept the application they said the officers will come and collect but there is no action taken to enroll new voter list in my area.

What to do, what are the other procedures to collect my voter ID card Help me pls

I am issued with my voter id card number IPR0102517 dated 08 Sep 09 at village-Nawch, Distt&Teh-Kaithal (017), Haryana. My name spelled in the voter id card in Hindi and English is incorrect.Similar error is in the voter id cards issued to my wife and two daughters. I am staying at Bangalore doing transferable job and visit my hometown once in a year. Mohinder Singh is to be replaced by correct name Mahender Singh. Please advise.

Re: Request for issuing corrected EPIC of my mother Smt Maya Rani Deb from Chief Election Commissioner, Delhi

Dear Sir / Madam,

With deep regret I like to inform you that I had sent four letters dated 31.03.09, 17.04.09, 11.05.09 & 27.05.09 to the Chief Election Commissioner, New Delhi by post along with copies of all relevant documents for issuing a corrected EPIC bearing No.WB/20/137/102101 of my mother Smt Maya Rani Deb as an errorful EPIC has been issued to her by the Election Commission, but I have neither received a single reply nor any action from their end even now. Not only they have done anything but also they have harrased and not co-operated with me when I went to meet Mr. Dhole at their Office at Baranagar Municipality on 07.05.09 as advised by one of your officer Tapashbabu who had visited my house to enquire the subject matter on 26.04.09 at 5.45 p.m.

The following errors have been noticed in the said EPIC as compared with the Form No.8 & ECI/EPIC-001C submitted to Mrs. Minati Bhattacharyya at Youth Organisation Club, Darjipara More, Baranagar, Kolkata - 700 036 on 22.11.08:-

(1) Elector's name mentioned as 'Mayarani Deb' instead of "Maya Rani Deb"
(2) Elector's husband name mentioned as 'Bhupal Deb' instead of "Late Bhupal Chandra Deb"
(3) Elector's address mentioned as '06/E/9, Maharaj Nandakumar Road Road Bye No.Baranagar
Baranagar, North 24 Parganas, 00036' instead of "106/E/9, Maharaja Nanda Kumar Road (South),
P.O. Baranagar, North 24 Parganas, Kolkata-700 036"
(4) Elector's photograph not available at the Voter List.

I shall be highly obliged if you kindly look into this matter very seriously and take necessary action immediately so that my mother can get a corrected EPIC without any further delay and able to cast her vote to the coming election.

Please note that my mother had not gone to cast her vote in the last Lok Sabha Election as she refused to carry this errorful EPIC issued by the Election Commissioner.

our family had shifted from bobbili (vizianagaram district) to vishakhapatnam so we all had applied to the voter card in the month of april or may. we got the receipt and the number of the polling booth and the constitution but we didnot received the voter id card so please make this issue clear we are very much dependent on the Voter id card for address proof
