Fake status update

After comparing delivery time on many online shop i bought a laptop from snapdeal. Because i wanted it urgently. It suppose to reach me by 24th of feb. Snapdeal has done their part very promptly. I have been tracking the consignment on the ecom express site. It reached bangalore before 24th and it was out for delivery on 24th morning. Ecom express office is just 3 km away from my house.

But till now i havent received the consignment. Everyday they are updating the status as "consignee not available".

While i am available in my home for the compete whole day since i am working from home and we are 4 members in the house. Yesterday (25th feb) i received a call from the delivery guy asking for the exact location. He was not able to even read the address properly.

I asked him by when he will reach here. Very rudely he gave an impression that when ever he like to come he will.


It is loud and clear that they are logging incorrect status into their system and making fool of the customers.

Very bad service, I'm register vendor in snapdeal.com, We got an order from snapdea.com and they engaged ECOM express to pick the goods, they didnt pick it and after that we got three order fro snapdeal and all that given to ECOM express they not even turned-up and we complained to snapdeal not to assign any work to ecom express, Even after that, they given one more assignment to them, atlast they came, they picked it up,
TIll now that goods is not reached to the customer and even it is not return back to me
They pick the goods on 7th Nov 2014 today's date is 29the Dec 2014,

We don't know whom to contact where to contact, even Snapdeal persons also not taken it seriously even after several remainders and we are getting vag answers,

Snapdeal & ECOM Couriers are the most Pathetic companies i have seen with my experience in e-commerce buying. Recently brought a room heater and snapdeal updated me that the shipment has been dispatched on the 22nd on December 2014. I remember even paying additional 150 INR to get next day dispatch as its cold in Ahmedabad and my Inlaws needed it.I got a confirmation from Snapdeal that i would be receiving my shipment on or before the 26th of December.
However upon not receiving the shipment i contacted ECOM couriers who told me that they had backlogs and the shipment would arrive only on 30th or 31st of Dec 2014. The CSR also told me that i should contact Snapdeal as they will not deliver before 31st. I have registered 2 complaints with Snapdeal and they also did not do anything about it and only sent me apology msg's.

Now on the 31st i get a call from my house that our top floor neighbor has delivered the goods to her house. The box was already opened and hence i called the delivery guy (+91 [protected]) from ECOM. He bluntly told that no one was present at home and he delivered the same to our neighbour. Its very strange that there were 3 people in my flat and most importantly he delivered the shipment on a different floor inspite us of having 3 neighbouring flats.

When i asked him to come back he switched off his phone. I called ECOM back and they gave me their local address which is

Again the number is switched off. Now i called Snapdeal again and they bluntly told me please send us the shipment pictures and we will arrange for reshipment or cancellation and it will take another 10 working days to refund the money once they get the shipment back.
NOW A HUGE THUMBS DOWN for SNAPDEAL to merge with such a courier company like ECOM as thier partner.

Could some one please guide me on how to approach consumer court and express my grievances as i am totally cheesed off by wasting my time and energy on constant follow ups. First time got something apart from AMAZON and have paid the price.

PLEASE BOYCOTT SNAPDEAL AND ECOM and let the message spread.

Thank you SNAPDEAL for ruining my Christmas as my Father in law had to take medical aid due to bleeding in his legs due to extreme cold and him being a diabetic. I should have got a product directly from AMAZON or some retail outlet.

Very poor service I have never ever seen such poor service in any courier company. I booked shipment on 22 of January and going to receive it after 29 of January while other companies are delivering the same in 3/4 days. Bloody blockheads.
According to my experience, Ecom Express has one of the worst service amongst courier services.

As per intimation sent to me, an item I had ordered with Snapdeal was handed over to Ecom Express (AWB No.[protected] on 20th January at Delhi with expected date of delivery as 27th January in Patna. I sent my staff to their Patna office which is next door to my house on 3rd February and I was asked to contact one Mr. Manish Srivastava. He was most unhelpful and asked me to contact their Delhi office. The phone just went on ringing there.Now I observe in the shipping intimation that the expected date of delivery has been extended to 7th February. What I fail to understand is why a courier should take 18 days to deliver a small consignment from Delhi to Patna.I earnestly request all reputed online stores to reconsider dealing with Ecom Express and advise their associate suppliers accordingly.
Most annoying services ever, I would give a minus rating -1000 .. Piece of crap ... I ordered a laptop (prepaid) but it came and didn't even got a call or notification and returned itself to snapdeal. When asked why it went back.. they said my phone was not reachable and nothing was updated in their website. Just a sorry for their carelessness. Piece of never order from this service.
A Very bad service. I experienced my self. Have ordered product to gift someone on their Birthday. Ecom Express took more than and even then I donot have product oh hand. What is with Snap Deal. I wonder how can they tie up with an inefficient logistic provider. Decided that I would never again deal with Snap Deal as well. There are lot better e-commerce service providers.

When I said called ecom express call centre to request the product be delivered atleast today else it is useless as i have to gift it, I got a reply saying that i m free to cancel the product.

Great isnt it.

It has not yet been delivered to me.i had visit to ecom tracking site that mention consignee not available. Don't know who is playing the game.
Please suggest some remedy. I have to go to consumer court, at last.
Ecom courier is adding fake status as 'Consignee not available'.
When I called customer care, they are saying 'we tried on your mobile, but you did not pick up'. But I never got a call from Ecom.
When I asked about the courier agent number to confirm the address, Ecom was not ready to give their number.
Bad service from Ecom.

Like many others said, online shopping sites should avoid Ecom for sending the products.
Snapdeal should change this courrier partner. All their tracking records are fake.My Air Waybill No :[protected] Order No :PI[protected] showing tried to deliver but I postponed the delivery!! , Nobody called me until now.

i was ordered 24th itself after 2 days got conformation message within 24 hours your product will dispatch after that 2 days i am waiting no response whether able to check tracking details also they are cheating worst service
i have placed an order on snapdeal, , they did their job.. yesturday i got a msg that i will receive my couier today itself.. i waited but there was no sign, , at 9:30 pm i got email from snapdeal that i have refused the order and ecom express want them to cancel my order, , , i was so disappointed, , i was at home whole day, , they ddidnt call n they didnt even came to my doorsteps .. how can they say that i have refused to take my order, , i was a regular buyer of snapdeal but this time i am not feeling good at all...
snapdeal should stop working with ecom express otherwise they are going to lose their customers... worst courier service ever, , , i have received my earlier couriers by bluedart.. and they are far far better than this, , one, , , they even dont deserve one star., ..
I wonder, how ecom express has maintained their reputation of being the worst courier service. I'm going through the same turmoil. for 3 days at a stretch the status is updated as shipment out for delivery and at the end of the day its "un delivered :reason:residence closed" which is of course fake one. As I was waiting for the shipment at home. Whenever i called up the customer care number I was told the same thing as could be viewed from the website. The phone numbers given for local branches are incorrect (which I'm sure is done deliberately)
Im afraid such irresponsible behaviour from the courier partners will affect the image of the online shopping portals very badly . For me, www.fashionandyou.com is blocked from the list as they engaged ecomexpress to deliver ( should I say Undeliver ) the shipment...
This company should be banned by Snapdeal and all other companies interested in surviving in E-commerce. On June 13, at 12:37 they sent me the following message.
"Your shipment[protected] ordered on www.snapdeal.com will be delivered by Ecom Express today".
It was NOT delivered.
On June 14, at 00:46, I received the following message from Snapdeal:
" We regret to inform you that there is delay in delivery of your ordered product. Will be Delivered Within 5 working days of promised date. We are trying our best to deliver the order as soon as possible and will keep you informed if there are any further updates. Please ignore this email if you have already received the product."

At 13:58 Hrs. I received a phone call from a courier delivery person (Tel. No. [protected]) requesting directions to my house. These directions were given, and since the person claimed to be calling from nearby, I expected the delivery to be made within a few minutes.

When no delivery was made for more than 15 minutes thereafter, I phoned the same number at 14:18 hrs to find out what had happened to the delivery. The person informed me that the delivery had already been made to the building watchman. When I asked why the delivery had not been made to my flat, he had no answer, and very angrily said that he would "see to the matter". (mein dekh loonga).

When I inquired with the watchman of the building a short while ago, he informed me that the courier person had come back, and demanded the return of the parcel! On checking the delivery status online, the Ecom website shows that the parcel is undelivered! No explanation, Nothing!

Ban this company!

I agree with all the negative comments above. This company should be banned by all companies in the e-commerce space. I received the following SMS message on June 13, at 12:37.

Econ Express is a Horrible delivery company that fakes the delivery dates and fools customers. Snap deal showed delivery date as 15th, on 15th they sent a apology email saying the delivery will be delayed by 5 more days. I got a automated call from Ecom Express and asked me press 1 for rescheduling the delivery and 2 for some #^&!! . I disconnected the phone, i ket getting the automated call every 5 min, finally i press 2 and again i got call, this time i pressed 1. After 15 min i got a call from Ecom Express customer support saying i have requested a delivery reschedule and the package will be delivered only after 5 days, this is crap from Ecom Express, they are just cheating and fooling public.

This is serious $#!T from online retailers to accomplice with Ecom Express. They are just fooling the customers around. I had ordered something from flipkart and the product was shipped the next day. After 4 days of false status updates, I got a message from Flipkart that the user has cancelled the order. What CRAP!! The Flipkart customer care said that the status was provided by courier company and they cannot override it. And the worse customer care service by Ecom Express just adds to our woos.
Flipkart will lose customers due to Ecom Express.
I am also a victim of E com express.
I think snapdeal should drop their contract.
