I have debit card of HDFC bank. The Annual fee is Rs.100/- for Regular debit cards , but in my account the amount is detucted Rs.500/- ( this is applicable for Platinum debit card holders ).

I am trying to speak with HDFC customer care.
Sir.
AM one of the customer of HDFC from past 5 years ... today i went to your Ambur branch and meet Ambur branch manager regarding my new Credit card .. but he reffed me to Mr.Jai, , , , sir when i went to him he is busy with his phone call and again after 30 min i contacted jai but he never responded me ... just playing game in mobile ., .. he not responded my query... pls tell we customer believe in the best service of HDFC but due to such stupit and selfish staff member we have to close our Account with HDFC and have to sum other best bank ... sir u know y this days Ambur branch is not getting new Account opening ... is only due to miss behaviorism of staff member in Ambur HDFC branch

    Under signed has deposited a cheq amounting of Rs. 2650/- Cheq no. 265620 dated 7th March 2011 to be transfered to HDFC account [protected] (Labour Law Reporter Delhi) at Kalanahar HDFC Branch near collectors office Bandra Easte Mumbai. Till date the cheq is yet to be cleared.
    As the amount transfer was within the same bank it should have been done within few minutes.
    I tried calling customer care but they did not reply as per the satisfaction of mine and i had to press hard to register my complaint with HDFC Bank (HDFC Complaint No. MUM 250066)

        Complaint against a bank manager of hdfc mandi branch for abetting financial frauds by issuing improper/fraud cheque books to customer with criminal intention


        Sir,

        Subject: The way banks are abetting financial frauds

        Through this complaint of mine I would like to bring it to your kind notice the way in which a few private sectors banks working under a rural license in the small state of himachal Pradesh are playing with the hard earned money of the people to earn an extra buck. Timely action is requested before the level of the fraud reaches the level of the fraud in which thousands of innocent public is harassed by the so called bank policy.

        The technique used by the banks is called “THE INSTANT CHEQUE BOOK”. Any body walks into the bank fills up a few forms, gives a few documents ( original or forged) and is immediately issued an instant cheque book which the customer is free to use irrespective of the fact that the account is opened or not.

        This is an instance of the mandi branch of the HDFC bank Ltd where the manager of the bank mr amit Bhatia issues one such instant cheque book to one of a known criminal of the area only after filling up a few forms and not even verifying the background of the customer. This particular customers walks out of the bank and starts issuing cheques to the various people and conducts various financial frauds against the general public. One such cheque of rs 93200 was issued to me which later bounced on the reason “ NO SUCH ACCOUNT EXSISTS”

        Later when fraud rajiv kumar was caught and beaten by a few people he confessed that the manager amit Bhatia explained to him how he can have a instant cheque book and later with the help of the manager of the hdfc mandi branch rajiv managed to get a cheque book which he started using for his criminal activities. More over the manager of the branch after issuing the cheque book closed the account of the customer and sheds his responsibility against no written application given by rajiv to close the account.

        Rajiv confessed that amit Bhatia never gave any application to the bank to close the account nor did the bank inform him that his account has been closed.

        These days cheques are required to get several types of loans sanctioned and such issuance of the cheque books without actual account is also a threat to the working of several banks and financial instututes. This incidence may be a part of a larger racket which might be working and many innocent people might become a victim of it.

        Sir, I would request you to kindly get the entire matter interrogated in view of the interest of the general public and bring rajiv and his accomplice amit Bhatia to book and also check the activities of the staff of the private banks who are openly distributing cheque books and many times these instruments land into the hand of notorious elements and are used for various financial crimes against the general public.

        The matter was brought to the notice of the MD of the HDFC bank branch but for THE PROFFESSIONAL staff money is more important than the intrest of the general public and hence everything was done to save their manager and tell me that it was my mistake.

        SIR, I WONDER HOW A BANK CAN ISSUE A CHEQUE BOOK WITHOUT EVEN OPENING A ACCOUNT AND SAY THAT IT HAS BEEN DONE AS PER THE RBI GUIDELINES AND IF ANY SUCH CHEQUE BOOK IS ISSUED WHOSE RESPONSIBITILY IS IT TO GET IT BACK. THIS IS NOT JUST A COMPLAINT AND SHOULD BE DEALT SERIOUSLY IN VIEW OF THE INTREST OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

        Also a police complaint was made on 20/10/2010 and after no action an E FIR was lodged. If the matter is not investigated in time, I have apprehensions that the bank would change its records to save guard the manager

              Hi,

              I constantly get pesky marketing calls from HDFC Bank Ghatkopar branch , selling personal loans. The caller informs me that his / her Branch Manager has asked to call HDFC Bank customers for product marketing.

              It is very irritating and annoying to attend these calls, even after telling the branch representatives not to call me for any product marketing.

              Inspite of multiple complaints to my personal banker (Tushar) I keep getting these calls from the Ghatkopar branch.
              Last year Kurla branch used to harass by calling me again and again.

              The numbers that I get calls from are as below
              [protected] -- last six to nine months.
              [protected] -- last year, but calls have now stopped.

              If these calls are not stopped, I am also going to raise this issue with TRAI, Banking Ombudsman and police. Then you keep answering calls from them.

              I am registered on DNC since last 2 years and do not get marketing calls from any other bank except HDFC Bank. I have taken all the necessary steps to ensure that I do not get called for any marketing campaign [except from my Personal Banker].

                Dear Concerns,

                I took a personal loan from HDFC bank in may 2009 of Rs. 80000 only, which is deducting Rs. 3217 every month from my HDFC account as ECS, i am paying my loan very honestly from last almost 2 years, but in meantime some of my installments were overdue maximum by 2 days due to my salary credit date, for which i have already informed to loan department many times but no action took till now. moreover they have deducted installment of Rs. 3217 twice in month of march 2011 (1st time- 12 march 2011 & 2nd time- 14 march 2011), when i have called them they said that the amount which they have deducted that is charges of 8 over due installments charges, late payment charges any many more, i am a salaried person and also have other payment to close every month which is definately preplanned by me, they have distruct all my strategies this month, as well as loan department CSEs are also talking so rude to me. Even i have already paid Rs. 1200 already in 2009 & 2010 for such late payment penalties, i am really very upset due to such unfair, unprofessional & cheating exercises done by a so called reputed bank. please save my rights.

                HDFC — Amount get deducted without any prior information

                Dear sir,
                I would like to draw your kind attention regarding the matter that i had a salary A/C ([protected])in HDFC bank but i left my previous comany on 2007 and there after , i did not keep any amount in that A/C.Even i forgot the PIN of that ATM.But last December-2010,i received the renewal ATM card and i felt glad to have it again and so i wanted to deposit some amount to that a/c.so i visited the nearby HDFC bank branch SHILLONG and as per their instruction, i deposited RS. 500/- for address change and duplicate PIN.After getting the new PIN , i deposite 2000/- on feb-11 & also deposite 2000/-in this ongoing march month.I checked the A/C balance on 5th MARCH-11 and surprised that there should be 4000/- but the balance is 1000/-. I CALLED customer care and they told that my minimum balance should be 10000/- and the balance was less than 10000/-,so 3000/ - is deducted from the A/C.But when i visited the help desk of nearby HDFC bank, they never told me that and without any prior information ,they have deducted the amount.
                so you are requested to take the needful action against the HDFC bank regarding the matter.Regards.jentu

                  On 14th March 2011 I sold 100no ICICI bank @1014 around 10.39 am through NSE. I was a margin call in which I didn’t give mention any stop loss. Around 11 am I gave a fresh call to purchase 100no ICICI bank @1018 through NSE around 11.09 am. It was again a margin call.
                  I wanted to minimised my risk exposure hence 2nd call was given and it was not a square off call against the first order. But HDFCSEC’s most intelligent software did that for me and in the process I lost huge amount.
                  When I called their customer care executive she couldn’t even explain me the reason. After keeping me on hold couple of time she only told me that their software was designed like that. They could accept it as a fresh margin call in case if I would have placed that order in different exchange.
                  In HDFCSEC, we need to transfer money from our account in order to go for any margin call. So every purchase I made, sufficient margin money was there in my account. Even after that HDFCSEC took decision on my behalf without even asking any consent from my side there I want to square off or not. Their software don’t allow customers to place fresh margin order in the same exchange!!! That’s the most weird thing I have ever heard.

                  I am sure like me many customers are annoyed with bad trading software of HDFC Securities backed by poor customer support. Our money is going down the drain and there is no effort to correct it.

                  Trading in Margin product with HSL, to open position in margin for which you get the exposure limit by them so unless you square off your open positions system will not allow to open fresh margin positions but its right you can open with another exchange for which you will get fresh exposure limit by HSL against your another fresh order.

                  Might be in your case you would had select the regular lot (RL) instead of margin due to which your order was executed.

                    My card was retained yesterday (i.e[protected] in ATM near Pimpri, Pune.
                    without prior information to me and without the expiry date of my card.

                    I havnt received the Debit card till date.
                    Also I need the explanation from HDFC BANK that how they can retain my card, without prior information to me.

                    It’s fraud at part of HDFC BANK to retain the card holder’s card unless new card is issued to him.

                    Kindly justify this issue, provided I need the Debit card on priority.

                      I want to inform that I applied for a single premium policy for Rs. 1,00,000/- only. on 1st Feb 2011 from HDFC Life, Hdfc Bank, Mehrauli Branch. Policy no. given to me was 14175801 now even the no. has been changed to 14230918.

                      I was assured and confirmed that the sum assured would be Rs. 5 Lacs only and it is mentioned of the application form. I have the photocopy also for the same. But as per the policy bond given to me by HDFC Life 1st page the sum assurance is Rs. 1.25 Lacs only. And then HDFC People confirmed me that they will change the same and give me the new bond within one week time but I did not receive any updated Policy bond till yet. Again I was confirmed by HDFC Life customer care people that I would get the updated bond by 5th March but I did not get the same till yet again. Now they say that I would have to fill the form again which I have already filled 3 times earlier. I bought this policy for 100% income tax benefit but HDFC people are not trying to understand my problem and not able to solve my issue.

                      You are requested to do the needful from your end at the earliest ASAP asI need to submit the document for Income tax benefit purpose.

                      Hi Laxman,



                      This is regarding premium payment of policy number #13791468. I would like to stop the payment of this policy from Credit Card ASAP. However I know it is late as you said, but this is big dilima i was with from the starting of the month. Below is all the details



                      1# I tried to make things happen since early of this months. I dialled several time to HDFC life Custmer care & HDFC Credit Card to discuss about the same, their responded like it so early and i will get call itself from HDFC Life.



                      2# I did not get call from HDFC Life or HDFC Credit card till today.



                      3# Credit Customer responded me like, they can't help with that and all this can be only taken care by HDFC Life. They can only help me with setting up the EMI on my payment.



                      4# I asked them to make the EMI payment as same as last year(like no interest with fee of 200 INR only ). They dined that and said that can only be done by HDFC life.



                      5# HDFC Credit Card Customer care offer me convert the EMI with the interest of .99 % per month + approx ~300 processing free.



                      6# HDFC life Customer care didn't provide me such option to convert the payment as half yearly.



                      7# I asked them to CANCEL my policy. They said, i will get nothing, as i have already signed some document to "DO NOT PAY ME" if i cancel the policy in one year. So i have not rights to complaint on it.



                      8# After so many discussion and queries from so many days HDFC life Custmer care given me you office number ([protected] ), i tried to contact you from Monday some picked the call transferred it some extn but no one was picking it up, And it got disconnected



                      9# Finally, today i called again, luckily my call got pick by you. But you dined me to help me with any option as it is very late for anything.



                      Please let me know how i can get over it. And PLEASE STOP THE PAYMENT FROM CREDIT CARD AND MAKE THE POLICY PAYMENT OPTION TWICE IN A YEAR.That will be very grateful to me.



                      Please call me if you can help with any option. as i am not going to monitor the GMAIL for some time.

                        On 3rd March 2011, I received a sms Stating 'Credit Rs 15000 or More through cash/chq/NEFT/RTGS in your HDFC Bank Account and use HDFC Net banking or debit card before 31st March and Win an assured Travel Bag'.
                        Sender Name is being Displayed as DM-HDFC Bank

                        Please let me know whether it is a fake message or true?
                        and if it is true..if there any condition..if yes..let me know....

                          i have sanctioned a personal loan amountg to Rs 1.00.000/- My PL loan account number is 16297961 and i am payying emi regularly from last more thatn a year without any bouncing. On receiving a perposal from the bank I had applied a top up loan of rs 2,00,000/- and it was decided that after decution of present loan amolunting to Rs 80,000/- i will get rs 1,20000 and fresh loan of rs 2,00,000/- will be repay again in 48 instalemtns I have completed all the formalities including signing of agreement and submission of all docusments but till date i have not the lolan. I am class -1 central govt officer and the loan olf the bank is 200 percent secure since I need the money urgently please get it dusbursed at the earliest.

                                Dear sirs/ madam,

                                while referring to my savings A/C. no. [protected] on net , I came to know that Rs. 500 has been deducted against debit card annual fee on 09.03.11.
                                I am having my savings account with HDFC bank since last 9 years , as a classic customer.
                                For classic customer , there is no annual fee for debit card & it is given free of charge for life time.
                                (1) I don't know , how this amount is deducted from my account ?
                                (2) Is there any change in norms for debit card ?
                                (3) Do you think that I should close my all savings accounts & fixed deposit accounts , just because of debit card charges ?
                                (4) I am a share holder of HDFC bank also, , kindly review my case & reverse the entry of Rs. 500
                                by giving credit to my account.

                                I hope matter will be taken with same spirit of HDFC bank's guide line.

                                If it is not comfortable , I will close my account with HDFC bank.

                                  An employee named MONA from mumbai,HDFC office, called me on my cell ; it was about the activation of their company's service called 'SMS alerts of stocks and futures'....
                                  In reply, i affirmed that without my prior permission no steps should be taken regarding this. However, the mere teliphonic talk has been considered as my request to activate this facility n the amount of Rs.1299/-
                                  has been deducted from my account which is quite strange.
                                  I strongly oppose this move of the employee. Please, re-deposit the particular amount as early as possible to avoid unnecessary chaos.

                                    My salary account is[protected] with HDFC bank Connaught Place branch.

                                    Yesterday my salary was transferred in the above mentioned bank account number. I am unable to withdrawal my salary from above mentioned account number. I called in HDFC bank customer care number. According to the executive the salary is on hold from credit card devision.

                                    I was managed a credit card of HDFC bank around 6 years back. Same was settled from HDFC bank Naraina Branch on Rs. 10, 200/- in three shots. Two installments were completely cleared but in last installment I faced some misbehavior issues with the lady executive of DSA. I told her clearly that rest amount of Rs. 4,500 is pending from my side and I want to pay the said amount only on one condition that please share the statement of my credit card. Because the limit of credit card is Rs. 10,000/- and I already paid around Rs. 17,000 on the card. She use vulgar words against me.

                                    Please see the attached documents of trailed mail with HDFC bank.

                                    Now today I had a word with Ms. Ruby Anand of HDFC bank credit card division. I told her that this is my salary of whole month and I have a wife and 2 year old child with me. If you want I agree to pay the card limit amount to you and please release the rest amount of my salary. She ignored and told that whole amount of salary around Rs. 32,763 will be settled as a settlement amount. Please arrange Rs. 10,000 more or we will send a mail to Chennai for approval on Rs. 32,763 to settle the card amount.

                                    My whole salary blocked by HDFC bank. Only Rs. 4,500 is due from side and I agree to pay Card Limit amount amount of Rs. 10,000/-. But I want to release my salary.

                                    Sir I am very depressed and want your intervention.

                                    Please share the HDFC Credit Card Statement and card history for the rest of the period (DISCUSSED WITH Ms. RITU) for the account [protected] from start to till date.

                                    Reason for Card Statement and Card History - Received many harrassment calls and letters before and after of settle the card regarding Court Notices / NBW Warrants / Use of Vulgar Words / Open the case in front of family members personally or verbally through phone.

                                    As discussed with Ms. Ritu above mentioned card already settled on INR 10,200.00 in 3 shots. A amount of INR 5,500.00 already paid to bank and the rest amount of INR 4,700.00 is ready to pay in cash. Received a letter from HDFC Bank Cards Devision stated that the settlement being time bound, any default in payment of the ammounts as agreed or within the time stipulated under the settlement will invalidate the settlement and render the same void. After couple a days I received a notice from court under SECTION-138 on the above mentioned card account and a notice letter from S.S.Advocates Chennai. Credit Card Statement is a right of customer stated under RBI Circular DBOD.FSD.BC.17/24.01.011. Please read the below mentioned points carefully:-

                                    1. Customer’s rights in relation to credit card operations primarily relate to personal privacy, clarity relating to rights and obligations, preservation of customer records, maintaining confidentiality of customer information and fair practices in debt collection. The card issuing bank/NBFC would be responsible as the principal for all acts of omission or commission of their agents (DSAs / DMAs and recovery agents).

                                    2. The intimation for including an individual’s telephone number in the Do Not Call Registry (DNCR) should be facilitated through a website maintained by the bank/NBFC. The numbers cleared by the card issuing bank/NBFC for calling should only be accessed. The bank/NBFC would be held responsible if a Do Not Call Number (DNCN) is called on by its DSAs / DMAs or Call Centre/s. The card issuing bank/NBFC should ensure that the Do Not Call Registry (DNCR) numbers are not passed on to any unauthorised person/s or misused in any manner. Banks/NBFCs/ their agents should not resort to invasion of privacy viz., persistently bothering the card holders at odd hours, violation of "do not call" code etc. The disclosure to the DSAs / recovery agents should also be limited to the extent that will enable them to discharge their duties. Personal information provided by the card holder but not required for recovery purposes should not be released by the card issuing bank/NBFC. The card issuing bank /NBFCs should ensure that the DSAs / DMAs do not transfer or misuse any customer information during marketing of credit card products. In the matter of recovery of dues, banks should ensure that they, as also their agents, adhere to the extant instructions on Fair Practice Code for lenders (circular DBOD. Leg. No. BC. 104 /09.07.007 / 2002–03 dated May 5, 2003) as also IBA’s Code for Collection of dues and repossession of security. In case banks have their own code for collection of dues, they should, at the minimum, incorporate all the terms of IBA's Code. In particular, in regard to appointment of third party agencies for debt collection, it is essential that such agents refrain from action that could damage the integrity and reputation of the bank/NBFC and that they observe 11 strict customer confidentiality. All letters issued by recovery agents must contain the name and address of a responsible senior officer of the card issuing bank whom the customer can contact at his location. Banks /NBFCs / their agents should not resort to intimidation or harassment of any kind, either verbal or physical, against any person in their debt collection efforts, including acts intended to humiliate publicly or intrude the privacy of the credit card holders’ family members, referees and friends, making threatening and anonymous calls or making false and misleading representations.

                                    I have an salary account on HDFC Bank and I am also holding a credit card of the same bank. Despite I have been paying the dues the Bank has taken away 7, 000 rupees from my salary account and now it is on hold. I cannot do any transaction now. This is very ridiculous and I no one from the bank bothered to inform me before taking such erratic step. I have tried to call up the customer care but none of them give me a solution to this problem. Now I am in such a horrible position that I do not have money to pay my house rent. Can anybody tell me how bank can do such a nasty thing. This is a theft!

                                    Received a call from Ms. Ruby Anand HDFC Bank. She forced me to settle the amount on whole salary. I told her that already I logged a complaint in consumer forum. She said " CONSUMER COMPLAINT KARNE SE KUCH NAHI HOGA APNA TIME OR PAISA BARBAAD KAR RAHE HO. HAME JO KARNA HAI WO TO HUM KAR HI LENGE"

                                      pay Which was Rs 275/-& Then i found my name was in civile list, WHY ? Before doing such things, you have to refer the customer's previous record of repayments whether he delayed any kind of payment....

                                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                                        This complaint is in regards to the HDFC Bank Two Wheeler Loan A/c No. 16100224 which I took in March 2010 for 30 months.

                                        My payments were regular and last month i.e. February 2011 I had deposited the loan amount in my SBI Bank from which the EMI is auto debited on the 5th every month.

                                        I got a call from call centre of HDFC Loan from Swati Paul - Call centre mobile Number: [protected]. asking me to pay the amount of 1897 via cheque or cash as the EMI amount is bounced on 5th.

                                        I informed her that the amount is there so there shouldn't be any problem re-withdrawing from my account. She insisted to pay in cash or cheque as they can re-request my SBI bank for another autodebit.

                                        I kindly issued a cheque of Rs. 1897/- on the 11th February.

                                        Now here is the real picture. On 15th February 2011 they debited from my SBI account 1897/- and on top of that they have debited 1897/- the cheque given to them on 17th FEbruary 2011.

                                        I had the information that I have sufficient fund to pay to my other parties and i issued a cheque of 3000/-.

                                        Unfortunately the 3000/- cheque was bounced due in insufficient fund as the HDFC bank loan dept debited my amount twice.

                                        Smartly HDFC bank credited via NEFT [protected] Rs. 1413on 24.02.2011 to my SBI account.

                                        I have been charged Rs.100/- from SBI also Rs.300 from the other bank for cheque bounce on 21.02.2011.

                                        I request HDFC to first of all return the amount Rs. 484 (Rs.1897-Rs.1413) Also the amount of the charges of cheque bounce from other bank Rs.400 (Rs.100+Rs.300)

                                        Other wise I will discontinue to pay the rest of the EMI and file a suit in the High Court for the Loss incurred including the harrasment from the HDFC bank.

                                        If my issue is not resolved within 2 day then I will continue to complain it the relevant authorities for strict actions to be taken against the unlaw full banks like HDFC.

                                        Till now I thought only ICICI is the worst bank and now I should also include HDFC as the worst bank in the world.

                                        I had issued cheque no. 020741 dated 08.10.09 to SBI Home loan a/c no. [protected] od Rs. 12000/-. I would like to know why the cheque is dishonoured even though there was suffucient fund. Therefore I request you to kindly;

                                        1. Credit the cheque amount plus the interest from 08.10.09 to till date, to my loan a/c.
                                        2. If any penalty, postal or service charges is debited from my account, the same to be credited to avoid any kind of legal action.
                                        3. You have also failed to debit Rs. 1491 from my a/c on 15.10.09 against my housing loan, as there is suffieient MOD balance in my a/c.

                                        Please acknowledge the receipt and intimate me in written accordingly as the cheque is enclosed herewith for your action.
