Hi,
This is with reference to the credit card [protected]. I am Pavan Kumar Reddy work for Oracle and having a HDFC corporate savings account and holding a credit card of same bank and the details stated before.
I have done a settlement for the same card in 2008 for the amount of Rs 79,700 - with Rs 11,000 - cash payment and five EMI installments for the amount of Rs 13,740 - each. I have paid the first two EMI's by date for the same EMI amount and later due to some personal, family and financial issues i was not able to pay the later EMI's fully but did some partial payments.
Also, lack of knowledge that the agent had and the improper follow-up from the customer and not guiding properly with the partial amounts put me in lot of problems and tremendous pressure. I even had a talk with the one of the HDFC credit card department managers from the same branch where the agent was collecting the money and he said there were no issues with partial amount payments and late payments. I have done the complete payment of Rs 79,700- as committed but with little late payments.
Suddenly, after 2/3 months of the payments done there was a salary amount around Rs 30,000 - has been blocked from my salary account and the same has been deducted towards the credit card payment. Later again Rs. 12000/- has been blocked and deducted. This was really shocked me without any notice or any call before or later the amount block and deduction. After this stunning incident i spoke to the credit card department and had found that the out standing amount still remain on my card was around Rs 60,000 - and not sure either this amount outstanding was after my salary deduction or before.
I have asked atleast to provide me a closure letter after my salary deduction and did not get any proper response from either from the customer care or any agent or even from one of the managers from concerned department. Later I left to USA on business trip for almost one year and have not seen any actions taken on my account or no one called me up regarding the same in the mean time. I have been back from USA recently and suddenly i see a amount block for Rs 6,333 - last month and complete salary block for Rs 50,400 - on 31st Dec. I have worked hard with night shifts for couple of months and had that amount credited into my account and had so many commitments for which i desperately these amounts. But unfortunately i see zero balance in my account and felt really unconscious at that moment.
I really do not understand what is happening with the concern department and not sure why no one called up regarding the same before or after the block happened. I am not using the card since very long before I done the first settlement. I think i should have paid more than what I have used on the card and still the people are behind me and not sure how to settle this.
I need the immediate action to be taken from the higher officials on this and see why the salary has been blocked and deducted from my salary account. I think the outstanding amount showing on my card is just an accumulated interest and late fees nothing more.
Please do the needful in getting my salary back immediately and have a look at my account and take some serious action. I am ready to settle it with some discussions with higher officials and will settle it without fail. Please do make sure to get my salary back and talk to me in person or phone from Zonal office regarding the same to settle it with proper action.
Hope I can get the positive response and will expect immediate action ASAP.

Below is the complaint I am posting here after no proper response from HDFC Cr Card Department

Hi,
After writing the above mail to the HDFC nodal officers, I got a reply from Asst. Vice President, Service Quality Dept stating that I need to call one of the HDFC bank officer for further settlement.
When I called that bank officer, I did not get positive response on the settlement. She blindly asking for full payment which is outstanding amount showing on my card (around Rs.67, 000). I think this is just an accumulated interest and late fees nothing more.
If this is the case why I need to call them, I can directly go to the bank and pay the outstanding amount and get NOC. Why I need to need to write a mail and requesting for settlement.
I think the bank doesn't want to solve the problem and linger it for 15 days so that they get an excuse to debit the whole amount from my saving account.
Here I am expecting better settlement as I already paid the settlement amount and I think i should have paid more than what I have used on the card including interests and late fees.
I already paid the initial settlement amount - Rs.79, 700
Later Credit Card dept. has deducted Rs. 30, 000 from my salary account.
Again they have deducted Rs. 12, 000 from my salary account.
Now again Rs. 56, 633 has been kept on hold.
Please guide me how to settle this issue ASAP.
I even posted this complaint to the mail id "[protected]@hdfcbank.com", but still no response.
