Sub:- Harassment from your executives.
HDFC CREDIT CARD NO. [protected].

Sir,

From Yesterday I have been receiving harassment call from your executives saying that the settlement of my CREDIT CARD payment is not valid, to make it valid I have to increase my settlement amount. In this regard, I wish to put the following for your kind perusal pl.

Due to major accident of my big brother in the early 2008 ( which resulted in total crush of his backbone), I had become the victim of acute financial crunch. Moreover, the values of my shares, on the strength of which, I was managing my liabilities smoothly, came down drastically, which threw me deeper and deeper towards insolvency heading me towards the defaults in repayments of liabilities including yours. To meet medical expenses on my brothers’ two surgeries I had to sale my flat at Badlapur, my marital life disturbed, my wife has got separated from me.

But as a man of prudence and a responsible element of the society, I was determined to dispose off the liabilities. That is why, I had requested my bankers to consider my case sympathetically and do settlement of my liabilities by granting me minimum settlement amount and for repayments giving me maximum time. Very thankfully, I wish to state that my bankers including yourself, had granted my request and as such, slowly but steadily I started disposing off.

Sir, at present I have been under settlement of Axis Bank, HDFC, HSBC, Dutch Bank and managing these within my meager income.

This is my real story. If need be, medical documentary evidences can be produced at any time.

With regard to HDFC Credit Card, your Executive ( Shri Dinkar [protected]) has settled the account for Rs.8100/-. For Ist payment executive alongwith settlement letter came to me and payment was made, for 2nd and 3rd payments he came and got payments. For 4th and last payment, the executive did not turn up in that respective month instead he kept on telephoning me that Sir, I am coming on so & so date, many dates elapsed, but he did not come. During this period I has fallen ill with Typhoid, that is why, I could not go to Bank. On 16.12.2009 somehow I went to bank and made payment instead of waiting for your executives.

This is real episode I made to you sir with the request that these executives may kindly be advised not to harass me, because at present I not mentally, bodily and above all financially in sound state. I fear any slight jolt may disperse my life difficult to mend up. You are, therefore, requested to kindly do the needful in the matter.

Credit card marketing Agency — Disturbance to the work

I am getting lot of calls from the different credit card marketing agencies. It is very much distrubance to my work also the peronal life. Is there any way I can put a complaint against them through TRAI? Please help me about this.

There is one of your card holder named Mr. Hara Mallick.By mistake my mobile no.([protected]) is entered against his name. each & every time your people & collection centres used to call me in my mobile and they are searching for Mr. Mallick. But many times I had conveyed that I am not Mr. Mallick. I am Animesh Bhakta and I do not have HSBC credit card. In spite of my repeatative request your people are always disturbing me and harrasing me. I am very much annoyed. You have Mr. Mallick's address and residence telephone no.You should contact him and get his actual mobile No. This is my last request otherwise I will have to proceed legally.

i am an employee wroking with a small salary of Rs.5400 take home salary which is credited into my salary account which is with HDFC, One day some one called me from HDFC stating that you have been approved a credit card with a credit limit of Rs.10000, so i submitted my id proof and i got the card, in the month of February 2007, and in the same month i had some financial problem bcoz of my sister's marriage and i have done a purchasing of Rs.9000 odd on the card, after 10 days of me using the card, i have called up the HDFC people to help me in paying the amount which i have used for marriage purpose in easy instalment basis but they said that there is no such sort of option, and you need to make the minimum payment, from then on whenever i received a statement i paid Rs.700, wherein i missed out twice which i paid double in the next month, i hope i have paid upto 8 to 9 nine thousand rupees till now, but still my payment shows that i am due with Rs., 19000, i dont know how is this, it was better to have a loan from any money lender where we have an option of paying the intrest and paying the actual amt when we have, but here it is ridiculos we pay the minimum amt and still the amt is doubled, the HDFC BANK is really harrasing small earning people like me by giving this sort of cards, and the staff who really has no courtesy for the clients, and speaks has if road side batha collection rowdies, I KINDLY REQUEST THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE HDFCBANK TO GIVE ME A OPTION OF CLOSING THE ACCOUNT BCOZ I HAVE NO OTHER OPTION OF SACKING MY LIFE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR CARD AS MY SALARY IS VERY LOW AND IT IS BECOMING VERY DIFFICULT TO SURVIVE,

Credit card - TIMES CARD — REPEATED CALLS

I have the Times Card issued by the Times group in colloboration with Barclaycard-Barclay Bank PLC. I was called by their call centre in July end for the membership of their Priority circle. I have given a very rosy picture and N number of benefit - which lured to me to say yer on Phone. Immidiately on the next day I called up their call centre for details of the mebership. They asked me to refer the website for details. On going thro' the website I discovered the wrong promises narrated to me on phone and immidiately I called up th call centre for cancellation of the mebership. They directed me to call the Priority circle membership dept. I called up the same. The lady tried to cionvince me again with the same swweet talk, I convyed to her that I have seen teh details of the agreement on the website and I want the memebrship to be cancelled - thus I can avoid being charged Rs.5000/- to the said card. Luckily on talking to the supervisor named Ms.Rupa on the 1st Aug.08 at 12.30PM. She agreed to cancel the membership. Which was well within the stipulated time needed for cancellation (21 days) raterh it was within 5 days of my confirming on phone. I was cahrged for the amount in the card bill for July 08. recvd. by me 10 days or more after my having cancelled the membership. I called up the call centre again talked to Prachi-on 14th Aug.08 and asked her why the amt. was charged. She checked and agreed to note it as coancelled and said the same will be reveresed. I had no other charge against the card in that month - thus I did not pay(after confirming with Ms.Prachi). I have been called after that 20 times a day on my mobile for the payment due. My life has been put to lots of inconvinence and dispair. I was called every day at 6.30a.m. to 7.am. I was called from different nos. from Mumbai, Guragaon, Chennai. I had confirmed with Prachi I had no problem in making my paymnet due but as the said entry was reversed it was agreed that I can avoid the payment. I compaint vide this letter against the said company for the harrasment.

i'm not going to pay any other charges/late fee payment. it's your mistake.

Sub. Dispute on my Credit Card Transaction

Hi, I Vivek Sharma wants my bank to enquire one of my Credit Card transactions with Royal Sundram Health Insurance.

They called me up for selling an insurance policy referred to HDFC Credit Card division for my contact details, policy was interested, and I asked them to send the policy initial documents for my information. They said that just for the sake of cross verification give us your HDFC Credit Card Number and they made me sure that I will not be charged until I sign the policy documents and send them back the same.

As unfortunately this is the only HDFC Credit Card I am having and this was my first transaction from a Credit card. I gave them my Card number and the expiry date.

Now they have charged on to my account (Sum of Rs.7116/-). Which I was not confirmed about at all. I asked them several times that I have given you the number for the cross verification only, no charges should generate on my account and they made me sure that charges will not generate.

Now the situation is neither I have any contact detail of them nor I am able to chase them to get those charges reversed as I do not wish to purchase there policy.

Now I need help from my Bank to get this issue resolved. I will be surprised if my Bank could help me in getting these charges reversed as I make you sure this is a FRAUD happening with me. I do not own these charges of Rs.7116/-.

If in case bank confirms me that I will have to pay these charges, I will pay the charges, however at same time please process my same complaint as to close my HDFC Credit Card Bank Account.

Please do the needful. Looking forward for your quick and favorable actions.

I had a HDFC savings account and a credit card with me. I was out of country for 2 months due to which i wasnt able to pay the credit card dues. Now the credit card guys have holded the cash in my account due to which my ECS loan has got bounced. I tried contacting them from 10th October. They 1st assured me a call back. I waited for the entire day. But in vain. On 11th October, I again contacted them and they kept in transfering me to various department without any response. The loan department is screwing my head as the loan due in pending. The bank guys doesnt understand the importance gievn to a loan. They also undertand which has to be given 1st preference. If this contiues, i am going to close off my account & issue a legal notice.
I am not able to pay the due amount of my hdfc credit card my total due is 20, 000 i want to do settlement by paying 50% amount so i wanted to know the procedure and documents to be taken from hdfc during the time of settlement.plz revert and do the needfull.My number [protected].

HDFC Credit Card — Not Reversing the interested charges and harrasing by given calls 3-4 times a day.

Very sorry to say that HDFC Credit Card People are not listing to its own customers. Not Reversing the interested charges, Adding Interest charges again and again and harassing by given calls to me and other family member of mine.

I am attending the call from HDFC CC department and making the payment regularly but from last 4-5 months I am out of station and not able to pay but I mailed them and call them that I don't need the card and I will only pay Principal amount. kindly send me the final statement removing all the charges. Till Date I have not recd. any final statement they are sending me the new statement with new charges adding on it.

Hi my name is roshan, i had appplied for a HDFC credit card few days back..on 8th november some freak comes to my house saying he's from HDFC credit card verification..i donno he's askin for my pan card number.my vehicle number...my gas no...he's askin my bro .. if i am he's brother or not..he's askin how many people staying in my house and what not.. later i said i cant take any of his any more and sent him away..unfortunately i did not ask his name.. I[censored] HDFC people could find him and if he is from ur side please take a serious action against him...he has come for address verification and should restrict himself to tat job of his.. y the hell does he need xtra information apart from tat... tat freak also started explaining me what credit card is and how it should be used as though i donno what i have applied for...MY number [protected].
SEVERAL TIME I HAVE TALK TO BANK FOR SETTLEMENT MY CARD BUT THAY HAVE NOT TAKE ANY POSITIVE ACTION.

credit card of hdfc — recovery agents threatened my family

sir, It is in regard to the credit card i was using . Due to some delay in the payment the credit card agents have threatened to my family. It is the incident of 13 november, 2008. They came and said we will not go from your home and thretened to my mother in my absence . They ring up at my home anytime they want and threat us. I have the names and phone numbers of some of them and I also have proofs aginst them. Now what should I do??...I am waiting for your reply then I will file complaint and litigation against the bank making the party to those agents as well. Waiting for your reply..

I have been using my HDFC Credit Card for the last 3 years. I am the sole earning member of my family. I have my Mother, Father, Sister and Wife who are dependent on me. My Sister got married recently where a lot of expenditure had to be incurred by me including loan .Now she has got separated from her husband and is now financially dependent on me.
Due to such unavoidable circumstances I am not being able to pay the current monthly payment since December 2008 the outstanding for which stands at Rs.74, 000/- approx.
For the last 1 month I'm receiving Life Threatning Phone Calls and abuses on my Office Phone Numbers[protected]/[protected]. The calls are being made by Sukanto Das & Ms.Gupta, Collection Agents of HDFC Bank from the phone number[protected]. They have been calling my Office Colleagues and abusing them in slang languages. They have even called my Office HR (Mr.Rajat Grover) and abused him which may put an adverse effect on my job.
They are even threatning to visit my home at Dumdum where my Wife who is pregnant is staying alone. If any Physical/Mental Harrasment is done at my Residence, it can cause terrible danger to her life.
I humbly request you to kindly look into the same as I'm undergoing tremendous mental pressure and also fearing Physical Torture.
For the last 3 years I have been paying my bills diligently and also trying my level best to pay off the current dues at the earliest. Sincerely request you to look into the matter.

First of all my suggestion for you guys would be..

1. Never go for a private bank credit card. Because they threaten you for money. Private bank people appoint people who threaten you abuse you not even thinking of who you are.

I have a HDFC credit card and i have a due payment of 1 lakh 3 thousand. But i am least bothered as i have decided to take personal loan and yeah its much better to do that than paying minimum balance as your main balance will remain the same or might go higher with time. I dont regret taking HDFC card as i learnt my lesson and i swear i will never repeat the mistake of taking these kind of cards again.

Best thing to do is even if you wanna go for a card then go for some public sector bank like... bank of india, syndicate bank etc. and yes who said govt is bad but these guys are much more helpfull than private banks. These guys wont leave me. haha what a shame on these private bank people. Why take credit from bank where u know that there is a proximity of getting threatened later on.. better borrow some money from a friend relative etc... theres nothing wrong in asking yr own than listneing to HDFC/ICICI etc threating calls... I can happily say that my personal loan has been approved by bank of india as i have a very good friend in my office who became my gauranter.

Its all business guys... why people run behind you to offer credit card... they dont cheat you cuz u never read the documentation completely...

I am rohit tripathi from mumbai. i hace been using hdfc credit card from the last 2 years suddenly there was a emi transaction through credit of around rs.2000 which was every month added to my credit card statement...i request many times to take this further for investigation that who is doing this fraud but customer service reply that sir dont worry we will deduct this from bill but suddenly after two there was another transaction of 10, 000 to 12, 000 from internet transaction and than customer service told me to submit dispute letter. If they would have taken the matter further this won't happend.

I have paid all the amount for which i have made transaction apart from this the bank is not accepting the fault and asking me to wait for a standard time 180 days and every month the amount is added they have money and power so why would the decision in my favour.

Iam Shocked to see that you have issued this statement for a total sum of Rs 745593.87/- in my name whereas I have told you in this letter that I have never used your Banks' Card.

Please resolve the issue as soon as possible. There is a major mistake at HDFC end.

hdfc is been charging me an amount of Rs 2288/- as a EMI of a loan which i had never taken. as per HDFC i owe the about 65000/- but i have already paid about 20 installments for 2288/-. and now i have stopped making any more payments. i need to get a legal help to sue them and take this matter to the press...

I had a credit card from hdfc which got expired 6 monts back.there was an ECS also running, which payement was regular.2 months back i lost my job and wasnt able to pay the ECS.I called up the Customer care asking for settlement, they said..since u r account is active so there is not settlement available.
Then my next question was so how do i pay when i dont have salary.She was repeatdly saying since i m a active customer no settlement is available..her explanation was only for defaluters settlement is allowed...that was totally shocking..so i asked her ...are u asking me to become a defaulter and then come for settlement...she was silent and again repeated the same thing..

I dont understand the concept what they were explaning...these type of issues are there very high..but i dont see hdfc taking any interst in these matter where people sometimes cannot afford paying at these high times..

HDFC VISA card — Wrong Settlement.

I have spoken to some executive in HDFC Bank-Rajouri Garden at land line no[protected] for the settlement of my Visa Card no [protected].Total outstanding amount informed by them was Rs 62000/- Approxmately. Due to some financial crisis, which I have faced recently, due to open heart surgery of my wife, I requested them to convert all my outstanding amount in EMI'S.
Finally, settlement letter for Rs 52000/- was sent to me through your representative and the whole amount was converted in 8 EMI'S, against which I have already paid I instalment in cash i.e 6648/-

Recently I have received a letter from your Bank that after paying all amount I will be considered in defaulter list which is not acceptable by me. Either the whole amount outstanding should be converted into EMI, S enabling me to clear all the dues of the Bank.
Hoping for an early response from your end.

My name is Sadanand and I am holding a HDFC credit card by no. 5176 xxxx xxxx 3164 and I having Salary Account with same bank with no. [protected], my salary amount which was credited on 03.08.2009 in my account has been put on lien by the bank without any notice.

I am salaried person, and I have to run my family with the salary, I have dependents on me and with my salary I have to feed them, As I have already told the bank executive, that in between I have lost my job and during which I had to face lot financial problems in which my fathers bypass surgery was a major factor.

I am already in lot of financial problems and this action of bank without any notice has added to my existing problems.

I am ready for settlement, but the bank is not providing my outstanding statements, and harassing me.

I kindly request to arrange for settlement in installment method, waving of my interest charges and over dues, so that I can pay the bank, as well as my family can survive.

sir/mam,

i am holding credit card of hdfc bank for last 3 year. 1 year back i made purchase of rs.60, 000. i made regular payment of minimum due and totally paid amount of rs.30, 000 to them till this date. my total outstanding is of rs.75, 000. now due to some financial crisis i cant make regular payment so i contact them for any kind of settlement. they refused to make any settlement of payment. now they have freeze my salary account and withdraw the sum of rs.26, 000 from my account. i request to pls suggest way ahead.
bank employee even talk in abusive language to me on phone i have recording of this conversation.

I am working with a leading outsourch company in India and having salary A/C with HDFC Bank since Oct'05. The problem I am facing is that I can not deposit any amount in any of the Non-home branch of HDFC Bank.Most of the associate are facing same kind of Issue. In reply they said this is the salary A/C and you can only deposit amount only in HOME branch...and this is Indian govt. rule that they are following...on the otherhand my collegues and frnd that have the same series of a/c numbers since we join togather the same company, most of them and other salaried ppl in my office can deposite the amount.

Where the govt rule gone ???????

I Could not understand the rule of HDFC bank if Bank or Govt. said not to deposit any amount in any salary a/c then how Home branch can do this illegal work.

Second thing when I call and asked custome care executive why this is happening with few of the salaried persons then he said that infact is HDFC bank is centrelized but salaried a/c works with branch specification...what the "ghatia" rule they have made... ... ...

I worked in noida branch of my office and earliar i was in gurgaon branch so I an have a salaried a/c with Gurgaon SCO 15, sec-14 no i need to deposit the amount only in Gurgoan means everytime i have to traven min of 70-80 KM just to deposit any amount...can anyone imagine what kind of problem i faced and facing right now.

I have credit card no [protected] from last six month i am not using your cards and last 4 months i hvae made payment against full and final settlement. As per my principle purchases is around 24000/- out of which i have made 10610/ to HDFC.

This is regarding HDFC JUMBO LOAN [protected].
I face problem when I made my payment EMI 5600 at ATM as usual one day before due date (05/07/09) and bank charged 700 extra. C/care executive told me you have activated auto-debit facility. First you have to de-activate the service and then this amount get reimbursed. As far as I know I’ve never activated this service. Because as per him the services are from 2007 and my loan is not much older than a year. Anyway I processed and get the services de-activated.
I got bill for[protected] other than my EMI).Your executive Ritesh([protected]) told me to pay 12000 and balance get waived-off and in future you’ll get the regular bill.
I pay on 17/09 and on 18/09 there was call from bank to clear all amount otherwise late payments to be charged. Now my current bill is 2000 more than regular bill.
I feel, there is a major communication gap between your c/care executive and recovery team. Only I am getting suffered in this process for the last two months.
There is lot of difference between the bill you send and what you say. Please clarify the net payables after your waive-offs. And mail me the updated refresh bill, so that I can made payments comfortably on time and enjoy your services in future.

HDFC Credit Card — Salary on Hold, settlement done 5 years back

Above mentioned is the card I had with HDFC bank approx 5-6years back. At that time a settlement for the sum of Rs 10000/- was done with the collection agency. On 30/09/09 I see a block to my salary due to this settlement not complete after these many years. On speaking to the collection agency agent Sachin, he said that due to a outstanding amount on the credit card my salry is on hold. Now at the most I kept the settlement letter for approx 2 years and little did I anticipate that some years down the line they would do this to me. I want to take leagl action against HDFC bank. Please suggest what I need to do at the earliest. Any good lawyers ot grievancxes forum. Let me know asap. Thanks.

I am Mukesh Chauhan, a credit card holder with HDFC.
I should say I had no problems with HDFC and I was happy with the service they provide me. Perhaps that is the reason, I have a Savings Account and HDFC credit card
Now, I am totally disgusted with the service of HDFC Credit card.
There was a complaint which I made in the month of Aug, It is not resolved till date. Ideally I should be offered refferal rights because they have not dealt with my complaint seriously and have not respected a customers emotions. Infact there was no acknowledgement, no call backs, nothing at all. I had atleast called in around 10 to 15 times, spending the valuable time, been hours together on phones to sort this problem. unfortunately the problem is not resolved yet.
Let me tell you what is my complaint for the last time. I had receive call from HDFC customer care for credit cards in the month of Aug for loan at that time The lady whom I did not remember the name of the person as per discussed with her she offering me for loan I accepted her offer but at that same time she also told me there is no any file charge or extra charge we can get. If you need that loan just say yes than we can debit in your account. Now I had receive my statement and found charge for loan file charge 300 Rs. I know there is no big amount for me but matter is why your executive give me wrong commitment. For this matter I had call HDFC customer and discussed with customer care and he told me our repressive called you 48 hours, I am waiting for 4 days but I did not receive any call from your end, once again I had called customer care and your repressive give me same answer finally I told him please give me proper suggestion other wise I am not payment of this month at that time he give me relax sir our repressive called you, now I had receive the statement for the month of Spt. I found there is no any value refundable but there is late fee charges or extra charge you calculate I am shock and call customer care your repressive give same story and same answer finally he told me please give up the full payment we will refund this amount in next month. I am agree with him I had give the full payment. Now I had receive statement of Oct. and found there is no any refundable amount once again I called HDFC customer care but same answer and same story. Finally I told your repressive give me proper feedback otherwise I am not giving payment. Now my card is not working it’s only for your fault.

I have a credit card in hdfc, and my savings in hdfc also. This month is received my salary through hdfc bank. Credit Card section in hdfc is hold my salary account for non payment of credit card without my knowledge. I was out of country for 7 months due to which i wasnt able to pay the credit card dues. i call to customer care of hdfc credit card section for 100 times more still they have not take any further action to unhold my account.my financial situation is very critical. my son(age 4 years) is admitted in hospital i have no fund to cure him. i tell this reason to cusomer care person also. i called several times to the hdfc credit card person for settlement they cannot take any action past 6 months. now my credit card payment balance is 24000/- but my payable outstanding Rs.11345/-. they hold my salary amount Rs.13849/- . my salary account is holding for 1.01.10. i yet to received any customer care executives call from their end. what can i do for this month expenses. my son medical expenses. please kindly arrange to solve my problems. Citi Bank Vodaphone creadit card — Wrong Payment made by bank/harassment

My Vodaphone bills was connected to a citi bank Credit card. We have moved to chennai from Bangalore. The credit card was cancelled after the payment of all dues. This card was only for Vodaphone payment. The vodaphone was cancelled for over 6-7 months ago. The bank has been harassing me over mails and calls daily for a payment of 6000+, which has now become7000+ over a payment for bills for a connection that does not exist. I have been explainng this to everybody who calls...but the calls and mails continue. Every callers syas that they will look into it and stop the calls and mails...but it is continuing for more than 2 months. Vodaphone has not sent me a bill for the ammount either. How can the bank pay out of a closed card? The card was associated to mt Suvidha accout...which it is not now...signifies that all dues were paid and card closed.

Citi Bank is reputed bank and we do not expect these graudulant messures from. Esp. when it is the bank which is connected with my company Honeywell technologies and is my Salary account.

Kinldy help..as i am emotionally stressed out with the threatening calls and letters.

HDFC Credit Card — Threatened for Recovery

Sir, We would like to bring to your kind notice that on 8th Jan. 2010, we received a telephone call from [protected] that a outstanding of Rs.3200 is in your credit card which is against our purchase of Rs. 471.00 ( Which is made only because we have received a call from HDFC Bank to do some transation otherwise your Card will be cancalled)
During the conversation the caller said if you will not clear than The Bank will take legal action against you. We said OK let the Bank do as per their rules and let them give us in writing and you please dont call us.(As he called many times in a day)
In this regard we would like to state that the amount we could not deposited because we assumed this amount will deduct from our Saving Account with HDFC Bank and the account is belongs to my daughter and she is not familiar with Bank transaction.
However, when we said please give us in writing than he started with DURTY, FILTHY,ABUSIVE words which is not possible to write here. Immediately we went to local HDFC Branch and stated the facts to Branch Manager and immediately he call in above number but the receiver replied that this is call centres number who has abused, we dont know than we directly contact but no satisfactory reply has been received by us.
Again today i.e. on 13.01.2010 we received a call from same number and with strong words he asked are you going to make this payment or not? We said may we know who is calling he said you will know every thing tell me are you going to make the payment or not than we diconnect the line and call again and again but we have not attended the call.So please look in to this and whatever matter is there please give us in writing so that we can understand the facts. And also advise your recovery agency not to call us and take necessary action against the caller how can he abuse us? Who has authorised recovery agency to use filthy words as he is also some ones Brother, Son, Father......
Further I do hereby advise to Cancell my above Credit Card immediately as i dont want to hear this type of language by keeping my account with HDFC Bank please.
Herewith I have enclosed this month Credit card Statement. According your prior mail you have reverse the Late fee Amount and service Tax.

But Once again you have financial charge & other has been levied in my Account. I didn’t get you anything in my current month statement.



Let me know Why you are levied in my account Extra charges?

This is to inform that i was with the organization till january 2 2009 was my last working day i have joined the organtioan on November 9 2008 at lakdikapool Hyderabad. there was no proper training provided to the team .they use to give us the lap-top and some brochers where we need to go-through the material and there was no proper communication from the staff of the bank i was terminated from the services on January 2 2009 and told to write the resignation letter and to handover the banks identity card and all the rest of the bank documents i was paid one months salary with many walk-in to the people i was paid one months salary the people did not give me a clear picture of what is been made to run me after them .with further communication with the people at lakdikapool branch they told me i was marked absent for not coming to the office and the balance one month was held with the bank as Leave with out Pay (L.W.P)

HDFC Credit Card — Regarding Admin fees in spite of cancellation of card

I had a credit card of HDFC Bank in the year[protected]. In the month of December post clearing all my dues with HDFC I had requested for the cancellation of the card. I had personally visited the Branch and asked for the cancellation and applied for this from my end. The Bank informed me that a cancellation confirmation will be autogenerated and sent out to me at a later date. Due to my personal requirement I had left for the UK on January 2005 and returned from there in the month of September 2009. During this period no communications whatsoever came from the Bank at my homestead. As such i considered this to be settled and all cleared. Post my return as well i had no news from the Bank. In the month of 2009 October I had applied for a personal loan with HDFC. Whilst the loan was in process, i received a call stating that there were some admin charges post my cancellation that needed to be cleared as till then inspite of my early request they had not cancelled my card. As such it seemed that I should be paying that. Although I was aware that it was not my concern still i consented to pay. But then all of a sudden they cleared my loan and when asked i was informed that all is settled and that they are wrong on their part and I do not have to pay. Now in the month of March 2010 I was informed that i had to clear my credit Card dues or else there will be some problem with my standing loan. Again i received a call from HDFC collection department stating that they have been adding interest on my account on the admin charges and that on this date the total amount due is Rs.11,000. And unless I clear that and get an all clear certificate it can cause issues with my standing loan. That is when I got really very agitated. I called up the Bank and found out that it can be settled for Rs. 3000. Now I was surprised that an amount that is not mine to pay or my expenses is being forced out of me and as well it is as if i am being given a concession for something that i am not responsible for.

Unless this amount is cleared the loan will not be considered sanctioned and as well if this is not resolved before the 5th of April my standing loan is loaded up with another 2 % surcharges for the re application and that amounts to an addition of 10,000 rs approximately. As such I contacted the collections department and asked them to collect the amount from me and as well give me an all clear certifcate as I do not wish to nor have the time to fight this out and most frankly close this loan at this time. Due to some official matters i am currently out of town and hoped to clear it here itself from the local branch. As such contacted the necessary people and got an appointment for a collector to come round and pick up the cash and provide the certificate. The collector did not come but i received a call stating that "mam please make the payment but we will provide the letter at a later date". I did not consent to this. Then they got back to me stating that we will get it done after the weekend. Again when they got back to me they said that they cannot provide the letter as it is a Mumbai card and this matter has to be resolved there. As such i finally had to place a complaint with HDFC credit card and was told that they have forwraded it to teh necessary department. But as per mty understanding here, on simple terms, firstly inspite of it being not my payment i have still consented to clear the account and HDFC cannot help me with this. They are just playing passing the parcel and putting the customer in peril. I dont understand what's happening.

I need assistance with this badly. Request some help on this

ICICI — Non issue of credit card and to pay outstanding amount to a policy which I never have approved of

This is regarding an issue related to an outstanding payment due on a credit card which I don’t hold. To begin with – I had a personal loan account with ICICI, repayment which was effective from Feb’07 thr’ Mar’09. If there was my request application for a free credit card, please confirm with a copy of the same.
Would really appreciate if the below mentioned concerns were addressed:
1. Firstly, could you please show me a copy where I had requested for a credit card from your bank?
2. Assuming you had dispatched the credit card to my said address, could you please provide me an acknowledgement copy/consignment number showing I had received it?

HDFC Credit Card — Requesting for Payments for already settled Card

A Letter from me has been submitted in Adyar ATM in April 2005 to Close my HDFC Credit Card

I personally have called the customer service on 19th of April 2005 to get the Latest outstanding due and the final
setlement check was dropped on the basis of the same.
I have made multiple follow up for the same .The Letter furnished for the close had contact details and address for
intimation to send the NOC certificate, but still I received zero responses from your end.
Communications / Call received from HDFC Bank
• I Received a first communication call from your end in this regards (between May 2005 and August 2005
,sure about the exact date ) for due of amount 2000 Rs, A response was sent from my side though an
Internationl call and email detailing the payment details and the card closure details along with the Bank
statement and Bank Proof. I had a verbal acceptance from your credit card agent through telephone. <NO
RESPONSES RECEIVED FROM BANK BACK AFTER MY RESPONSE TO THE FIRST CALL>
• Secondly in Jan 2007 , I have received a email from Krishna Walia for the same due , I responded the same
with a detailed email and call along with the proof of payments and requested for the closure of same as well
as physical statement of the card (Please find the attached emails fro references). <NO RESPONSES
RECEIVED FROM WALIA /BANK BACK AFTER MY RESPONSE TO THE SECOND CALL>
• On checking my CIBIL report in Feb 2010 , I was informed a due of amount 4000 Rs is appearingin MY
HDFC CREDIT CARD. I visited the LOCAL HDFC Bank and submitted all the Letters and email copy for the
payments made and follows up made.< I WAS INFORMED ,A CALL BACK WILL ARRANGED FOR THE
SAME>
• Third call was received some where in May 2010 requesting for the payment of Rs 30 ,000 Rs. I
Responded back and contacted Mr. Vasanath , and forwarding all the emails and Letters to UDAY
SHANKAR and requested for a physical copy of card statement and charges details
• On June 19th , I have received a notice from BANK , requesting to settle the amount of Rs 10,600 . After
making multiple follow ups , I receieved a call in June 2010 and Last week stating for the payment of Rs
40,000 for the final settlement.
• LAST WEEK , again I visted Thane HDFC Bank and dropped the complain letters and requested for the
Copy of the Credit Card Statemet .< I WAS INFORMED ,A CALL BACK WILL ARRANGED FOR THE
SAME>.
Till now, I have neither received any physical statements or detailed call acknowledging my emails or follows up
made. All I receive from your side is about the settlement amount which varies indefinitely in ranges.

I request you to kindly look your logs and verify my all emails sent to u,
I have attached the Bank Statement. Which was the last transaction payment made towards my card for final
settlement? No Card Transaction was made after that as i have destroyed the card. Both the card has been
destroyed in Apr 2005.
It was a surprise to receive a call after 3 or 4 years regarding the non-payment / clearance of liability. It was paining to
note for having received remainder from you for the account which has been already settled by me long time. To
avoid recurrence of such remainder at least in future I would like to take off the matter with customer care center and
there contact # / email address . I seek for health for getting the number /email address .
I have requested multiple times for the physical statement to my communication address , never I received a physical
copy or an email copy. I do see different figures of settlement amount each time when I receive the call.

I have got a phone call from delhi aperson called and said i m calling from delhi court ur file regarding ur credit card dues which is Rs21000 (while the principal was 3000,and i paid amount Rs500 for about 20 months) i m going to issue warrant please call upon Ms Ria Banerjee to settle ur account and inform me, I called Ms Ria and she told me to deposit Rs 6000 to settle my account I deposited it to the same date and inform her she assured me of providing letter of settlement and noc within 2 days but yet after 22 days I haven't get ANY PAPER and when I call her again She didn't pick up the phone I call to customer care at chandigarh they said their is no information regarding ur solution.I m shocked and feeling very much cheated.

S. am using ur card since from 3 Years, 2 months back i sent mail to Hdfc regarding redusing the amount (19200), after this I got cal from HDFC customer care to pay the money in 6 installments i.e 14325/-(after deducting late Fees etc) nd month of august i paid 1000/- but recently i got cal from customer care executive (Richmond circle Brandch B'lore) outstanding amount is 21200/- really i feel very bad of this, so pls send a mail to my mail ID how much have to pay and pls reduce the amount i coluld not able to pay this much amount and it should not go for black list. this is my humble request (i decided to pay the amount in single shot within October 2nd) kinldy do the needful ASAP. Everybody does not realize the problems. The moment some gets a credit card how many people know how to use the Credit Period given by the bank successfully.
A first time card holder is very happy to use people's money, but does not forget that he has to pay the money at some point of time. I started ny credit card with a credit of 25, 000/= but today my credit 450000. Yeah I know it is tempting. The reason the bank is increasing my credit limit is just to tempt me to make further purchases using this money and fall in the debt trap.
People who are using credit cards are given a credit free period of 50 days. If planned correctly, you can rotate the money for 50 days and also make your credit card payment.

PLAN YOUR PAYMENT / USING YOUR CARD

1) Lets take your bill date is on 5th January, then your billing cycle will be from 5th Dec - 4th January. Any smart buyer will make a purchase on the 6th Jan. This way ... your bill is generated on the 5th of February and you are given time till Feb 20th to make the payment.

2) What ever is the credit limit given by the bank always make sure you have to spend only 1/4 of the limit and a max of 1/2 of the limit(only when there are additional expenses)

3) The bank gives you a min amt to pay, but that is even more tempting. Dont fall in the min amt due. Lets take you have a bill of 20, 000, min amt due will be 5% of this. Rs1000 . But lets take you can pay upto 12000, then make the 12000 payment. In this case the interest is levied only on the Rs 8000 and not on 20, 000 which will happen if you paid only Rs 1000/=.

4) Marketing guys who fill your forms, talk sweet, get your photos printed have multiple brothers and sisters and girlfriends in all the banks, so one detail which is submitted gets shared by multiple people

5) Bank knows to cheat you well. That is why earlier they were using Photo ID cards. But they realized that by using these cards, it will be difficult to make money and merchants cannot be cheated. So they abolished the scheme.

To summarise it all, I dont say that only HDFC is bad, all the banks have a similar cycle to follow. Be it HDFC, ICICI, Citibank and even HSBC ... Dont trust anyone esp the sweet talker.

When someone is asking you for your information, makes sense to understand, which branch does he work for, who is his supervisor, what is his contact number, what is the sup contact number. Call each one of them and understand the Product Features.

If you default and someone is threating you, you have a right o approach a banking ombudsperson. The Supreme court has laid a new role that no collection agent can visit your house before 8 am and after 7 pm. If you notice this, kindly take a note and report it to the Banking Ombudsman.

For that i was visited to VIVEK VIHAR Branch, But according to Branch manager hdfc credit card department hold your funds.

I confirm my outstanding Bill from HDFC Credit cards department, its Rs.8841, But how can they Hold my Rs 16000 money without any my information.

I called to[protected] miss Narita she said your hold funds automatically deduct from your account.And she give me one new no :-

I used to hold a HDFC silver credit card 4 years back ( HDFC Credit card A/c no. [protected] ). I cleared all my dues by paying to a Bank representative who came to my office address C-25, Sector 58, Noida. After that I went abroad for 2 years. After I returned I got a rather unpleasant and surprising news that I haven't cleared by HDFC credit card dues and they want a amount close to 7, 500 Rs. I asked for a Card Statement from the pretty rude Agent who called. He told me that he works as a Recovery agent and he is only interested in recovering the amount. He told he has no clue how you can get a statement.

I clearly told him that I have already cleared my balance and this could only be a mistake or a unlawful method adopted by HDFC bank for increasing their profits. At this, Recovery agent started threatening me and my family. He somehow got my sister number and started abusing her. I immediately reported this to Delhi police and unscrupulous calls stopped.

My point was very simple ~~~ Get me my statement and I will pay you whatever is fair.

To my utter disbelief on 18-January-2011, Rs. 18, 765.24 was taken OUT of my separate Salary account (HDFC Bank a/c no. [protected]) . I was out of India during that time and tried to contact HDFC customer care many number of times. Reply was always very rude and clear that they do not have any statement. How on the earth is that possible that a bank doesnt have a statement ????

I had been defaulting for last 4 months for not paying the credit card([protected]) interest since for past 1 yr i lost my job and i currently started a business. my intention was to pay the money so i asked even for settlement but yestarday a guy named Mr Navneet(Mobile No-[protected]) from recovery department came to my residence and harassed my my brother and sister in law in my absence and in my presence he when he understood that i am not able to pay money he harsses and humiliated my neighbours by asking money to them. when i asked his senior's number he said(hdfc company ya company ka koi baap mera kuch nahi bigad sakta, tu kisi ko bhi bula mera koi kuch nahi bigad skta". since he was not ready to leave me i took him on my byke to my work place and there in front of 20 people-some were my college, some were my clients, he said" ye bhikhari admi hai, bhikhari ki zidagi hai iski, kutta hai, kutte ki maut marega, chor hai" and many other bad words. he humiliated me like any thing and because of which i had lost my credibility in my family, society, and my work place because of which i will have to shift my work place now. i want strict action to be taken against Mr Navneet(Mobile No-[protected]) from recovery department. sir/madme you can understand for every person his/her prestige in family, society, workplace carry a big role and importance which i had lost so, i am not going to pay a single penny/money hence forth.

After properly verified from the customers service, I have surrendered my HDFC credit Card No.[protected]. In fact, i have paid all my dues even by lump sum amount transfered from my debit card. To my surprise, after a gap of 2/3 months I am receiving message/calls from HDFC stating that Rs. 34, 000 and odd is due and for making payments.

They are not providing the date-wise details of my transfered amount. Till the settlement is over, they should not charge any further late fee etc. I have tried my level best recently, to contact customers service but, I am not getting any response. Hope without any further delay, HDFC Credit Bank Division should look into the matter and settle the issue. Customers should not be harrassed like this.

Dear Sir,

My HDFC Bank credit card no. is [protected]. I have been a regular customer of HDFC credit card for the last 2 years.

There are Finance charges built in my HDFC card for one time late payment (I have already paid the late fee), the reversal of which has not been done for the last 3 months despite being calling the customer care for the last 3 months continuously. I have been given a reference no. [protected] by the Customer care but there has been no response from the customer care till now.

I would really like to continue my HDFC bank credit card if you reverse these charges.

It’s a sincere request to please do a quick reversal of my pending amount of around 5000/- and send me a revised bill.

    This is in regards to the above mentioned card number which belongs to Jyotsna Doshi (my mother).

    We were offered a settlement on the mentioned card number for the outstanding amount. The settlement amount was INR 1,25,000.00.
    The same was offered by Mr. Amit Joshi of HDFC Credit Card collection department. He is based at the Kanjurg Marg office.

    The settlement letter stated that the card holder must pay the outstanding amount in 5 installments. We completed the settlement amount in 8 installments.
    The main issue is that we were aware that we have to pay in 5 installments, and when we crossed the 5 installments, Mr. Amit Joshi urged us to continue paying and assured that he shall make sure that everything will go against the above mentioned settlement amount. Due to which we did not request for a new settlement. Now, when the above mentioned amount has been paid in 8 installments, Mr. Ritesh & Mr. Nikhil Udas of HDFC credit card collection department (Wilson House, Andheri (E)) , called us on the phone and asked us to make payment for the outstanding amount. This came to our shock, where in Mr. Amit Joshi collected INR 1,25,000.00 in 8 installments and told us that our account is settled.

    We also met Mr. Nikhil Udas at Wilson House (Andheri E), informed him about the whole scenario & conveyed our concern on this issue. We do agree that we paid the settlement amount in 8 installments instead of 5 installments. Although, if Mr. Amit Joshi had informed us of such an outcome, then we would have requested for a new settlement. Eventually, you would agree that our intention of settling the outstanding was evident by the payment of INR 1,25,000.00. Also note that Mr. Amit Joshi does not answer my phone calls, obviously meaning that he understands his fault in this issue.

    Also please note that since the time this issue rose Mr. Amit Joshi has been rejected our phone calls.

    Sub: Complaint Against HDFC Bank Credit Card Division

    Dear Sir,


    I regret to inform you and for your kind notice that I was holding and HDFC Bank Credit Card vide no: [protected]. In that card, my credit limit was Rs.2, 38, 000/- and after that Bank has revised and reduced the Credit Limit from Rs.2, 38, 000/- to Rs.1, 77, 000/-. I have used my Credit Limit and I have already paid Rs.2, 77, 371/- against my Card as per their statement dated 17.03.2010. I had no outstanding against my Card. Only some Interest Charges were Lying in my Card.

    On that basis, I have requested to Bank to settle and convert my some Interest dues amount sympathetically in to fresh simple EMI after reversing all the Late fees, Extra Interest Charges and the unnecessary fees charged by the Bank Intentionally. Due to my tremendous financial problem, I was not in position to submit my children’s school fees and house rent also which already I had discussed this matter frequently to their customer care executive over phone & at least 14 to 15th times and sent 14th to 15th frequent reminder letters also.

    If you see the Receipts & Payments A/c of my Card, from beginning to end then you can easily observe that, I have made already over and excess payment against my used amount through card. If you see my accounts I have already paid the excess amount which the money I have used through Card. If the bank waive my unjustified Interest and Late fees, then nothing outstanding will be pending against my card. Which amount I have used against my Credit Card, Out of that, I have made excess payment against my used amount.

    Being a preferred customer for long time, I have changed my address, phone no etc honestly. As a result of which, their Recovery agency/goons have started to hassle me mentally and also my wife, not only that, they also used abusive and very rough language over phone and came to my office and insulted me in the front of everybody with very abusive and slang language and told me to make the payment immediately, otherwise they will attack me and my family with their team and told me that, they will thrash me in the front of my society and also told me that they will abolish me from my job. I am a very simple Private Company’s employee and simple middle class family. That incident happened for last 5 to 6 months. After completion of their mental and physical harassments, HDFC Bank has sent the Legal court notice to my address. I am a very simple and middle class family member and a very simple employee of a private company. Bank continuously pressurized me to take the credit card.

    Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank .Please tell me, Is it a Reputed Bank ???

    My Credit Limit was Rs.1, 77, 000/- and I have paid Rs.2, 77, 371/-. If my intention was bad then, why I will make the payment for Rs.2, 77, 371/-. Their Intention is how to raise the Interest amount and late fees unnecessary and pressurize to customer mentally. Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank . Is it a Reputed Bank ???

    Due the tremendous mental harassment to me and my family, My wife is not well and she also feels very insecurity. Please help me and my family from HDFC Bank’s Credit Card nuisance.

        i had booked a car from this dsa rgs 4wheel world (chembur) and gave the documents for the loan application through them to hdfc bank after few days i received a sms that your car loan is approved,but after calling to the bank for confirmation they said me that the car loan is sanctioned is of 83 % only as they had promised to give me 90% .when i asked the reason they said me that there is a discount of 30000 so after cosidering the discount the bank will finance the amount. i believe that bank should not be concern about what are the discounts going on with the car. so when i said to the dsa that i want to cancel the booking they are telling me that they will be charging 3000rs as cancellation charges.why should i give charges for the cancellation as my need of 90% funding is not fulfilled. please do the needful.

        i think u should complain to the hdfc bank via mail and phone, these finance agents should be taught a lesson. Even my relative was charged for the cancellation, in our case the loan was rejected by the bank without giving us any genuine reason and still they dared to charge us rs 3000, when we told them that we will complaint to the police station, they refunded the full amount, but later on i heard that they deducted the amount from the executives salary. really beggars
        why consumer should bear for the fault of dsa.
        different cars have different discounts, i think it is common sense... 90% of the car cost sums up to a certain amount, and when discount is deducted from the car cost..that same 90% ends up being more than 90% funding on the car cost after discount, hence the loan amount reduces in ur case 83% of the original car cost and 90% after discount.
        Bank have a policy to give max 90% loan...except few cases..so i think its a fair deal..and discount on the car does make a difference...

          This is regarding 02 demand draft submitted at bank ATM which were never credited in my account. I deposited the 02 DD's in ATM machine on 10th OCT'09 but when the amount did not reflected in my account, i called up their customer care but they even refused to register my complain as i did not had DD numbers. I also register complain in their greivance cell but they also turned up with negative response.
          This is a totally irresponsible behaviour and showed that they did not care about their customers. I did not had DD nos but i had all other information like Drawee bank name, amount on DD and also these DD were submitted in a envelop on which i had written my account no.

          HDFC Bank — Loss of DD

          1. It is indeed very unfortunate that I have to begin my letter by stating that the last few days of my experience with HDFC Bank has been utterly disappointing despite your bank holding a high status among our armed forces fraternity. I would like to bring out certain facts for your kind attention so that interest of a customer like me remains in good stead and your banks reputation remains intact.

          2. On 07 Oct 2009, I had made a DD of Rs 3,40,700/- (Rupees Three Lacs Fourty Thousand Seven Hundred Only) from Sec-18 Noida Branch of ICICI Bank.

          3. The DD was deposited by me personally in the account of one builder) at HDFC Bank in Noida Sec-18 on 07 Oct 2009.

          4. For some apparent reason unknown to me, the DD was deposited in the said account and thereafter withdrawn without credit. The bank statement mentions the same. So far after almost a month, the money has not been credited to the said account for reasons best known to HDFC bank. My effort to find out the reason for this delay has gone in vain as I have been getting conflicting information from the HDFC bank.

          5. This DD was a part of the payment I was supposed to make to the builder to confirm my allotment of a dwelling unit. The lapse on the part of HDFC has not only hurt me financially but also caused me undue harassment for no fault of mine. I am within my rights to know what happened to the DD made out of my money and deposited personally by me as I am very much the affected party.

          6. I sincerely hope that you would look into this matter at the earliest and give a favourable disposal to my concern. In case, if my concern is not addressed I will find myself in a difficult position of filing an FIR against HDFC as well as approach the Consumer court.

            HDFC Standard Life's ULIP policies are of no use. The agents would give you false information and take money and cheat people. Please beware of all such agents and relationship managers who have done their MBAs from C grade colleges. You will be totally cheated if you go ahead with these policies. I have lost money and would ask all not to go for ULIPs from HDFC Standard Life Insurance.

                    Hi There,

                    My name is Geeta payal and I had a credit card([protected]) with HDFC which was offered to me because I had savings account opened up in HDFC bank and at that time I had no job and I told that the agency that I won’t have the need for it but they made the credit card and sent it to me.

                    I used the card and was making the payments regularly but because of family trouble and financial problems I could not make the payment.



                    I got the job with Hewitt and took loan for which there is an EMI being deducted from my account every month for close to 7000 rs and I got in touch with Mr. Harmeet Singh the collection agent from HDFC bank and his phone no is [protected] regarding the settlement of the account and I agreed for it and I told him I would not be able to make the payment in one go rather I will be able to make the payment in installment even after that he got the letter for one shot payment of 22000 Rs , I did tell him and the banker that this is not possible , they said pay us now 12,000 and rest pay it soon.

                    My monthly expenditure from my salary is as follows.

                    Monthly rent-6000 Rs
                    Duetsh Bank loan EMI-7000Rs
                    Rest for food and other expenditure are 4000 Rs.

                    I am only left with 3000 to 4000 rs a month and I was making payments every month to Mr. Harmeet as per my understanding and what they told me and that details you must have in the system.

                    I get a notice on Thursday that My salary account has been held for the nonpayment on the credit card which is incorrect, I understand that the bank has right to hold the funds due to nonpayment but I being a responsible person called every month Mr. Harmeet Singh and paid the installments as per my situation and told him that will try to make more payment in the month of December as I will get some funds.

                    If I had no intentions of making the payments then the bank should take some actions but when I am making the payments then why should I suffer something like this.

                    My credit card Limit was 30,000 Rs and I will surely make the payments.

                    I will really appreciate that please release the hold from my salary account and allow me some time so that I will make the payments as I had been doing the same for the last few months.

                    I have to support myself and take care of my day today expenses and by doing this to me I am being harassed and further more I was not aware of the fact that the settlement is not valid which was a wrong information given to me by the HDFC collection agent. This is a humble request

                    Again the perfect example of pathetic customer service. No body has picked up the phone. Is it a Customer Care or phone has been fixed at somebody's home?



                    This is absolute rediculous response and customer satisfaction commitment. Now, I will not call any where.



                    One more thing, this is not the fresh settlement. Its your bank's fault that they didn't block the card. I was ready to pay the amount since I donot want any bad credit history with the bank. But you have already deducted 5395 from my a/c and hence consider the same as settlement amount and provide me the NOC.

                    Kindly look into my grievances: My credit limit was 15000/-. For someone else's purchase, I have already charged and paid Rs. 5395/-. which is almost the 45% of the credit limit. Now, I am not in condition of paying a single amount. I am just expecting this much favour from HDFC in order to continue the relationship. Also, hoping that this time some officials will pay attention to the same.



                    I am very polite to HDFC and expecting a positive response. Charging extra charges over and above the credit limit and then taking unleu advantage of a customer will not raise the appreciation of HDFC. Rather HDFC need to support the dissatisfied customer's for appreciation and good relationship ever after.



                    Hope your Bank people will understand the meaning of a satisfied customer. If you are assuring for the best attention then prove it. Assurance is not enough for customer satisfation. Where Best is expected better is not good enough.

I have informed your bankers to close my credit card after I did the last payment and closed all dues. I am sorry to say but I am unable to recall any of the details of my payments. Now, all balls are in your court. I belief the words of yours but as a customer you can understand my situation. For someone else's puchase, I should not pay. Also, I have come to know many instances wherein the request is not taken care of over phone banking.                     To whomsoever it may concern!

                    This is to bring into your notice that I am a customer with HDFC. Customer ID: 35174935. It is a salary account.

                    The dispute starts with credit card which I was holding 3 years back. I am sorry to provide you the transaction details as the case is very old. As far as I remember, the case study is as follows:

                    1) I was holding a credit card for which the details cannot be furnished. (Customer with HDFC bank 3 yrs back).

                    2) I cleared all outstanding on my account in last quarter of 2007. Within one month my card had been stolen and hence placed a request for blocking my card permanently.

                    3) After 2 yrs, I got a call from your CC department about my outstanding on my said card, which was unexpected and not bearable.

                    4) Now, when I enquired with HDFC CCC for the same, they told me for non-registration of any calls from my side for the block of my card.

                    My Issues:

                    1) Due to the negligence of your CCC representative, I got a bad mark on my card. Which leads to future problem.

                    2) Just because of Banker's negligence, I am loosing my brain and peace. [clear case of mental harassment]

                    3) I got INR 5445/- hold in my newly opened salary account without any prior intimation to me. [clear case of monitory harassment]

                    4) As per CC department, total 26000/- is due on my card. I am now loosing my head like anything. I am a working professional and hence cannot work with these situation.


                    The irresponsibility of your resource I am facing many problem. Also, as a customer I am feeling cheated. Despite of call to CC for the block of services on my card, I have been informed that I had not made any call on such issue. This is your's person fault not mine that he didn't tag the call. I wish, I could have the call recording however I am sure you must have.


                    Now, since I donot remember the exact dates. I know I will be held responsible for your negligence. I want the money released from hold within 48 hrs of this mail as it was for my urgent needs.


                    Also, Credit Card department has no right to block my account. In case they can they have to first speak with me. I am having the same number and contact. With holding 5445/- you will be loosing a corporate customer, and I will be loosing nothing but the way to consumer court to seek help.


                    Released of my 5445/- will make me to discuss further. Else consumer court is ready to help me.

                      This is to inform you that I received a letter a few days ago which states that I have an amount of Rs. 40318.66 which is outstanding on my HDFC credit card no: [protected].

                      Let me inform you that HDFC bank and Me came to an amicable settlement on the above mentioned card, reference no: to which is S 0240807 and the settlement letter is dated the 21/7/2008 and the amount to be settled was agreed on 13500/- only.
                      Now the first installment towards the settlement payment was made in cash, an amount of 4000/- receipt no: 6412204, dated the 26/7/2008.The second and third payments were supposed to be made by cheque, but unfortunately due to an unforeseen circumstance these payments were not made. So after getting in touch with various representatives from the bank, it was agreed that the rest of the payments were to be collected by a third party agency employed by HDFC bank. The subsequent payments that were made are as follows: 3000/- receipt no: 6916009, 2000/- receipt no: 14603813, 1060/- receipt no: 6959903, and 2440/- receipt no: 8820310. After making these payments I was assured that my NOC letter would be received at my mailing address within 30-45 working days.
                      Now the mis-communication from HDFC's end was that, the HDFC bank representative who called me to make the final payment, misinformed me about the amount, which to my assumption was actually 3440/- and NOT 2440/-
                      After I received your letter I was shocked, as to my knowledge I had already honored my settlement with HDFC. So I took out all the receipts and calculated the total payable amount which I found to be 12500/- which is 1000/- short of the settlement amount of 13500/-.
                      You please tell me that after paying 12500/- towards my settlement,"WHY" would I not be willing to pay a nominal amount of 1000/- more?
                      The simple reason being that I was misguided by the representatives employed by HDFC, so why should I suffer the consequences when it's really not my fault. Do you call that justice? I call it another way of extortion from customers like myself who are willing to make honorable settlements and who do not turn tail and run. I am surprised with these tactics being employed by HDFC, and as a genuine person I implore you to find a suitable solution.

                      Also I have been in contact with a Legal Team head of HDFC bank's collection department, Ms. Archita biswas, e-mail:archita.[protected]@hdfcbank.com, and she too has failed to respond to my repeated attempts of coming to an amicable solution to the problem at hand.

                      Today the 12th of December HDFC has frozen my existing salary account and has without authorisation debited 6144/- INR from me towards the outstanding amount against my card.

                      In response to this I have registered a complaint with the RBI and with the Consumer forum.

                      I have the same complaint. I have also been mislead my Ms. Archita Biswas of HDFC Bank. She doesnot respond to customer queries and is abusive.

                      I had settled my credit card account in Feb 2010, and paid two cheques amounting to Rs. 14, 000. Only Rs. 2000 and some change was agreed upon by HDFC representative to be waived off, which they had charged as interest.

                      I chased the HDFC representative to give me a letter of closure, and submitted my credit card. The credit card was closed, but they kept adding interest to the Rs.2000 change.

                      Suddenly I got a letter from HDFC bank that they are going to deduct Rs, 18, 000 from my salary account, which was a new account. I contacted Ms Archita, and all she did was abused and didnt answer her calls.


                      And one fine day they deducted 19, 000 without giving any notice!!

                      What is going on???HDFC BANK IS ON A SPREE TO LOOT CUSTOMERS and as employees they have appointed uneducated, unethical people, who dont know their job.

                        My SB A/c No.[protected] at HDFC Bank Vijay Nagar Jabalpur. I send self cheque No.100164 sum of Rs.10000/- dated 05.06.2013 for withdrawal by the my sub employee but bank asking his ID Proof & contact No. kindly clear the any guideline by HDFC Bank or RBI.
                        This HDFC bank is chunk they are nonsense. There is really no RBI norms. As such. Today I went for cast withdrawal to HDFC bank and they told they will charge 3 rupee for 1000 rupee withdrawal. Being a beneficiary why they should charge me? Is there any RBI norm or its banks money making policy. These banks are already started charging lot things for each services they are providing. Why Mr. Modi is asking for opening Bank account. I would prefer to keep cash if I have to face such a pain in . I would recommend go to ICICI bank they are better service provider than HDFC.

                          Sir/Madam,

                          With reference to above said credit card number I want to inform your goodself that I got my credit card bill for the month of Oct.2009. In this bill on 03.10.2009 you had credited my a/c by Rs.1043/- and same day debited Rs.1043/- and imposed Rs.330.90 for payment return fee. Yet I had not given that cheque.

                          After seeing that bill I called at customer care and asked about that payment and they told me that I had given a cheque no.507885 of rs. 1043/- of HDFC Bank Ltd. I was shocked to hear that cheque number because that cheque I was dropped in drop box of HDFC bank Credit card tow years back (i.e.on 2.10.2007) against my bill of August 2007 and which were misplaced at your end at that time and then I called customer care. They advised be to drop another cheque. Hence I drop other cheque with Oct2007 month bill.

                          I don’t know how a bank can present a two year back cheque in current date. It is just like cheating with customer. Even I closed my HDFC bank Saving a/c on 18/03/2009 and remaining all cheques were destroyed by your bank representative before close of this a/c. As this a/c were closed so that abovesaid cheque were not cleared. This is not a matter of Rs.[protected] amount but it’s a serious offence to present a two year old cheque in current date.

                          Please look into the matter at the earliest and clarify me how this can happen by a reputed bank with its customers.

                            I have applied a home loan in HDFC- through an executive, to purchase a flat in Chennai. I have given all the financial documents along with a chequeRs.8000/ for their processing fees(1% processing fee) as per executive’s request. At the same time he given the assurance that after signed the sanctioning letter they will put the cheque for collection, and he added that when they will go for collection the will confirm the money availability in my A/C.
                            In this stage after a 15 days because of my personal issues I cancelled my loan progress and I have sent a mail to the hdfc executive, on 9 th of October but After received my cancellation mail they put my cheque for collection on 13 th of October.
                            From that day onwards I am asking return my documents and my cheque to me, but every time they are saying that auditing is going on ,so after auditing they will return. But from today onwards they mahalakshmi (HDFC Call centre) saying that they will not return my cheque at any cost. They refused to send even a single mail to me.

                            So they (HDFC Home loan) is cheating meby
                            1.Without sanctioned the loan they tried to collect my money)
                            2.They refuse to give me back my original cheque.
                            3. After cancelled my loan progress they tried to collect my money .
                            4.Executives lied a lot to get a customer.

                              I availed a home loan for 13,50,000 with HDFC and the rep convince me that a property insurance worth Rs.50,000 is mandatory and it is a one time payment.
                              Now they say that we need to pay that for all the 20 years.
                              I called every one with HDFC they say that they can do anything now.
                              They accept that the rep cheated me for commission but they said they cant do anything and will not return my money.

                              The manger says to even file a case to see if I could get my money back.
                              This is cheating and now they are not giving a proper response.
                              Please help me resolve this issue.
                              I want this to escalated so that this kind of cheating doesnt happen again

                              I have taken the homeloan from HDFC ambernath Rs.110000 @ 9.25% for construction bangalowin may 2008.But now interest is reduced up to 8.25 for latest. But they are giving me the amount same interest rate @9.25.My loan is floting.
                              So please guide me & take neccessary action.

                                My ATM card No.[protected], From KBL04008 ATM counter,on07.12.2009 at20.50 asked for Rs.10000 , processed and printed slip alone came stating"RUNABLE TO DISPENCE9 FR [protected]'. No cash was dispersed.Again I tried and the reply was"HI DISPENSER OUT" But When I checked my accounts Rs.10000 was deducted against 08.12.2009.date which I verified through the net banking data. I have launched a complaint through my bank HDFC, Rathna Complex, Salem.4 and my Sb Acc.No is [protected]. Kindly rectify the error.

                                  Hi,

                                  I took personal loan worth 1.5 lakhs from HDFC bank in Oct 2008 till date I'm paying EMIs on time. HDFC bank is taking EMIs from my ABN AMRO bank instead of HDFC account. But DEC '09 EMI returned back to my ABN Amro account stating "RETURNED:410975:NO SUCH ACCOUNT" and the "INWARD ECS RETURN CHARGES" has been levied on my account. When the money is in my account then why should I pay inward ECS charges?

                                  I need help what to do about this, I have registered complaint with ABN Amro bank as well as HDFC bank but not getting possitive response. Please advise as it is a mental harrassment.

                                  Personal Loan — Regarding personal loan

                                  I Pudi SrinivasKumar was taken a personel loan in Hsbc bank Asilmetta Branch visakhapatnam on[protected] and upto[protected] i have paid the instalements regarly.After that the bank has stopped collecting the instalement due to some court orders raised by the Government on Personel loans and I have not received any information about the status of my personel loan.Recentily some private organisation named EMRON Securtues pvt Ltd approched me and ask me to clear the loan taken from Hsbc.Iam ready to clear the loan and I asked the said private organisation to get a letter from Hsbc about the loan clearance or any other authorisation to collect the loan on behalf of Hsbc to the said organisation.But till today they have not approched me with the information.I approched Hsbc bank regarding Emron securities pvt ltd.But they said they are not given any authorisation for collection of loans.I talked with the Manager Hsbc by phone regarding the loan payment.He told me to pay the amount to above mentioned agency only.But without having proper authorsationand information from the bank I dont want to pay to the private agency.And also Iam here to inform you that delay in repayment is due legal problems of the bank only.So Iam no way affected with the delay in payment.Recentily I approched a bank for car loan they are stating that my name is kept as a defaulter consumer loan in cibil report.Even though the delay is completely bank legal problem and it affected my financial status and kept me as a defaulter in cibil report.
                                  So Iam here to request you to go through the facts and remove my name in cibil report.Iam ready to clear the loan amount only through proper channel to the bank.

                                    Dear Helpdesk,

                                    I would like to bring your valuable knowledge to some incidents with regards to my aforesaid subject:-

                                    1) My credit card account( Credit Card # [protected]) is no where related with my newly opend salary account([protected]).

                                    2) I got my settlement letter dated[protected] duly signed by me as well as counter signed by Mr. David (Emp# D0869). and my salary account got opened in[protected].

                                    3) I had handed over all my post dated EMI cheques for Rs.(8,500/-each X 06) i.e. for total Rs. 51,000/- ( As per attached details) on the same day to Mrs. Nitu Sharma who offered me for this settlement at Old Airport Road Branch, HDFC Bank on[protected].(refer attachment). NOW SHE IS NOT PICKING MY CALLS.

                                    4) All my cheques dated was last day of the respective calendar month. As because I get my salary on the last working day of that particular calendar month.

                                    5) All my cheques got cleared without any harrasment or delayness from my issuing bank, Axis Bank, Marathahally Branch as well as from my side. No cheques were dishonoured from my bank. And all the cheques were under your bank custody not with me at all. And this is their resposibility to put into the bank on agreed time. Nothing was left to my hand.

                                    6) For the first payment they given me back the 1st EMI cheque for Rs.8,500/- vide No-019408 dated[protected] and taken the payment by cash from me against receipt no-4101910 dated[protected].(refer attacchment)

                                    7) Before making those payments, Mrs. Nitu Sharma proposed me to pay some token money as advance to start this settlement process and I made a payment for Rs.11,000/- by cash vide receipt no-3924707 dated[protected] for Rs.10,000/- and 3924705 dated[protected] for Rs.1,000/-.(refer attachment)

                                    8) I have not got any account statement till date from your bank. I require my updated account statement needs to be mailed by considering of the total payment made of Rs. 62,000/- against of my credit card dues.

                                    9) Why my salary account got blocked without any prior intimation to me. As per RBI CBIL policy no bank is having this authority to put any hold to any customer's account without giving any prior notice to that customer.

                                    10) Nobody is responding properly to my emails as well as over the phone. On[protected] I visited to Hdfc Bank Credit Card Dept branch at Richmond Road. Nobody responded properly to my issue.

                                    11) I am a married person and only one earning member to my family. Now I don't have any money to meet my family commitments as well as my other commitments. So kindly advice me what needs to be done from my side to get my salary back to my salary account?

                                    12) I WANT TO KNOW WHY MY SALARY ACCOUNT GOT BLOCKED WITHOUT ANY INTIMATION. AND WHEN THIS ACCOUNT WILL BE RELEASED.


                                    I AM REALLY LOOSING MY PATIENCE TO LEVE MY NORMAL LIFE. PLEASE HELP ME OUT TO GET MY MONEY BACK TO MY SALARY ACCOUNT AND RELEASE THAT ACCOUNT AT THE EARLIEST. PLEASE LISTEN TO MY REQUEST AND REVERT ASAP.

                                      Respected Sir,

                                      I had purchased used "Santro Car" from mr. premal gujrathi, and i paid all the loan on this car to HDFC bank nasik (Loan A/C No : 1110878) and received "for closer" receipt from the bank, also i taken an authority letter from mr. premal gujrathi to take N.O.C,

                                      After two week when i went for N.O.C, bank is saying your N.O.C is blocked as the owner has already a loan (business loan / another car loan).

                                      My Complaint is that if all the loan on my car is cleared then why bank is blocking N.O.C of this car, they have only rights to take action on only the (business loan / another car loan).

                                      Kindly help me asap...
