[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Negative balance in my account | |||
My salary account (In hdfc bank) was created in my first company, so once i left the company and joined somewhere else i had to open another salary account. Now my salary account in hdfc bank has been converted to savings account (Without informing me or warning me) in the month of march i had called customer care and raised a request to close my account as i did not want to use the account and they did say that they will follow up with the request and close the account. After that i never logged in to my account through net banking and i do not have a debit card (Lost in 2 years back and i never requested for a new one). I logged into my account for some reason on 1st september 2014 and i see that i have rs -4993 in my account. I request you to please take action against this bank.. Thay have no right what so ever to do whatever they want without informing the customer Was this information helpful? | |||

i opened a salary account in hdfc bank some 3 -4 years back but i never used that account. Now i opened up a new salary account in HDFC bank with other company the former account is showing up - 2800 inr as balance.
According to new RBI guidelines banks are not supposed to penalise for dormant accounts but when i contacted the customer care they are refraining from closing it saying i have to fill the fine.
Where should i approach now. Please help.

My HDFC A/C has negative bal of Rs.-3300 and m not go in to pay it...will there b any legal actions taken by the bank? ...how can I close this a/c without paying the fine...please help
Me too have the same problem. It's because of the bank policy that saving account minimum balance that has to be maintained is rs 10, 000. And i think if don't use the account then you don't have to pay any thing
Hello Sir/madam, I Worked for APEX for 3 months in hyderabad from dec 2013 to feb 2014 i left the office feb ending my HDFC card was not using after 6 months once i used to chek whether blocked or working without any intimation cal or msg got deducted to negative bal with -2000 now it is around -4k do i need to pay? to run a/c and close the a/c or any action take bank cibil. I hope plz reply.

My salary account was created by my company.I left the company 8months back simply today i opened my hdfc account showing negative balance -2056.I am not working anywhere & salary is not coming how they can do this negative balance.I am not using debit card, credit card.I am housewife now, i can't pay this negative balance please close my account [protected].I requested to hdfc don't convert salary account to saving account.

I was working with a company where they opened SB Account in ING Vysya Now it is Kotak bank, I did not used that account after I left that company. The bank is sending message saying that my SB Account is having negative balance of Rs. 2441.17 . What I have to do, I want to close the account. Now my account is inactive .

I left that job after few month because of study reason. At that time my account balance was less than Rs.10, 000 and after 3 month i saw that Rs.398 is being charged on my account as ASD deduction. It happend without any notification or SMS. when the same charge were made on my account three times then I withdrawn all the remaining balance. And now i.e.after 3 years It is showing negative balance of more than 5, 000. I am totally shocked and worrying about the same.
Can You please suggest me any way that what should I do. Can it be waived or I will have to pay all these amount..

I also having same problem, In my HDFC account -7000 rs it showing. In the year of 2014 September i joined in a company there they provide me hdfc salary account. After 2 months i quit that company. after 2 years recently i joined in my dream organisation here i am facing problem with opening a new hdfc account. They said they wont provide new account after 7000 clearance only they will open new account. with out any intimations how it come -7000. Can you please any one help me how to handle this issue.
