[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Negative balance in my account

Same thing happen here, How do i go about closing (-)Account/HDFC ?
I once received email to maintain my account which i did. But i've withdrawn the balance due to emergency resulting massive -ve amount in my account. Unfortunately i've lost the registered number too which i dont received any phone call from HDFC. As to my knowledge they have never ask a consent to close the account if i did not use..need some suggestion to PHN [protected]/namdigombou.[protected]@gmail.com.

My old company has opened my salary account in 2015, but after 2 months I left the company because I got the better opportunity some where Else after that I never used that account, but now its showing re's -6450 in account,
I don't want to pay any penalty, I want to close my account as soon as possible.Please help

My salary account (In hdfc bank) was created in my first company, so once i left the company and joined somewhere else i had to open another salary account. Now my salary account in hdfc bank has been converted to savings account (Without informing me or warning me) . I logged into my account and i see that i have rs -4993 in my account. I request you to please take action against this bank.. They have no right what so ever to do whatever they want without informing the customer.According to RBI it is illeagal.

My name is Sunil Gurav. I joined a company in the year 2015 and that company opened my salary account in HDFC bank I left that job after few month because of personal reason. At that time my account balance was less than Rs.10, 000. It happend without any notification or SMS. And now i.e.after 1 years It is showing negative balance of more than 7000. I am totally shocked and worrying about the same.
Can You please suggest me any way that what should I do. Can it be waived or I will have to pay all these amount..

I have created an account with HDFC account for my first company and after i left that company, i didn't maintain that account for 6 month and HDFC didn't intimated about that detection. Now am having Fine amount -3000 in savings account and i don't have job now so i can't pay fine. Can anyone help to come out of this problem..

My HDFC A/C has negative bal of Rs.-3800 i'm not using a/c 1 year and m not go in to pay it...will there b any legal actions taken by the bank? ...how can I close this a/c without paying the fine...please help

Hi Team,

I have opened a bank account but never used even a single day. I have not performed any transaction with that account, but I am received a SMS for the account turned as dormant and negative balance is -7000 rs.

How can It possible for negative balance if the account is not used for single day or single transaction.

I am totally shocked and worrying about the same.
Can You please suggest me any way that what should I do. Can it be waived or I will have to pay all these amount..

Hi HDFC Team,
My salary account (In hdfc bank) was created in my first company, so when i left the company and joined somewhere else i had to open another salary account. After that i never logged in to my account through net banking and i do not have a debit card (Lost in 2 years back and i never requested for a new one).And after I received a massage from hdfc bank that i have rs -4141.60 in my account. I request you to please take action against this bank.. Thay have no right what so ever to do whatever they want without informing the customer.

I was working with a company where they opened Account in Kotak bank, I did not used that account for some months, the bank is sending message saying that my SB Account is having negative balance of Rs. 1414.50, but at the time of opening the account, the bank person told that zero balance will be maintained for life time. What I have to do, I want to close the account.

Please help me in closing the account without filling the negative balance.

My self Vinayak A K, one of my previous company had opened an account with HDFC bank for my salary and from past 2 years i haven't used my account and currently i joined a new company where this company has a tie up only with HDFC and at the time of creating a new account for my salary with the current company i came to know that my previous account what i had with HDFC has gone to -8, 800/- RS because of non maintenance of the minimum balance and which i was not aware of this and also bank people has not informed me about this before so kindly help me to close my previous account and help me to open Zero balance account with the same HDFC.

My name is sushil BHUPENDRA KUMAR AHIRWAR. I joined a company in the year 2012 and that company opened my salary account in HDFC bank but didn't gave any basic terms and conditions of salary account. I left that job after few month because of study reason. At that time my account balance was less than Rs.10, 000 and after 3 month i saw that Rs.398 is being charged on my account as ASD deduction. It happend without any notification or SMS. when the same charge were made on my account three times then I withdrawn all the remaining balance. And now i.e.after 3 years It is showing negative balance of more than 5, 000.2 years after go to hdfc bank all ready signing accunt closer form but not close my accunt.I am totally shocked and worrying about the same.
Can You please suggest me any way that what should I do. Can it be waived or I will have to pay all these amount..

i have an on going HDFC salary bank A/c, but its in negative balance -8000/- appx. but it was mainly due to the agent from your end added a demat a/c which i never wanted to open and now i am facing a problem i want to close it and will not pay the amount at any cost .

I am also facing the same issue. I was HDFC bank employee and now working in other company. I am having -5549, without informing they converted my salary account to savings account.I have contacted customer care, they are saying I need to pay the money. As per RBI this is not a rule kindly suggest me or I need to go to top level for seeking help.

Hi all am also finding same problem like you, Now It went up to 6500 rs. I dont want to pay .Pls Help me in this regard. Present company they are telling to open salary account in HDFC acc. When I requested to Branch Manager. He said ok, later he his telling to me that credit your salary we will reverse to your amount. But I cant trust them.

I opened a salary account in hdfc bank in 2014, after i left my job my account convert into saving account, and whenever i depoist some money, My account balance was always reduced due to negative balance, till now, I lost the amount up to 10000 due to Negative Balance, now i have no enough money to pay. my account now again -5000 .please help

This is really inappropriate and irresponsible behavior from a reputed bank like yours.
So I request you to kindly close my HDFC salary account A/c No: [protected] because it’s no longer required since I left the company and I don’t want to continue with your services.
I have moved to Hyderabad so it won’t be easy for me to contact home branch.

I visited the home branch 3 months ago, they asked me to pay the balance first. But, According to new RBI guidelines banks are not supposed to penalize for dormant accounts. But, when i contacted the customer care they are refraining from closing it saying i have to pay the fine.
