HyperCity Hyderabad - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, EVEN WORSE PRODUCTS!

Being a regular customer of the Hypercity products, our recent purchase of furniture has been a MAJOR, MAJOR disappointment. Not sure about the other outlets, but the service at the Hyderabad outlet absolutely SUCKS! After paying for two different models of coffee tables we were made to wait for 15 days as the stock had to come from another city. Over 30 days went by and nobody got back to us about the tables. So we visited the store oursleves and as fate would have it (after making us wait for more than a month) they tell us that one of the models we purchased is no longer under production and we will have to buy other things in the same amount we spent for it. The other model was, however, available, but we did not take that either since we paid for TWO tables and we wanted TWO tables. After a long wait and discussion, we were asked by the store manager to wait 2 more days, so he can get enough time to discuss the issue and get back to us. A week went by and, again, nobody got back to us. So we visited the store (AGAIN). This time the manager blatantly tells us that he cannot do anything anout the matter and we will have to make peace with the damaged display piece. But, we, obviously, were not too happy with that and said we would sue the company. The next day we get a call saying they will send a fresh piece within a day or two. In a day or two, they did send us the tables, but they were anything but "fresh pieces". They sent us the same DAMAGED display pieces, lousily varnished , here and there, to camouflage the big dents and drag marks. I'm not sure if this the case with everybody, but, we have had the most bitter experience with Hypercity and I really hope somebody would step and take action before we take action oursleves. Customer service has to be the foremost priority and customers cannot be taken for granted and definitely cannot be looked at as a bunch of fools, who cannot make out the difference between a "damaged piece" and a "fresh piece".

P.S: STILL WAITING FOR THE TABLES

    I have an extended warranty for My Samsung S3500 phone and am struggling to get it serviced under extended warranty.
    When I got the phone I was not informed about the procedure for using extended warranty, your sale representative informed that the warranty can be used in any of the Samsung service stations directly.
    When I visited the Samsung store on 14th August 2010 15:00hrs for the present issue I was sent back to Hypercity stating that extended warranty can be claimed only through the store. On visiting Hypercity Malad on 14th August 2010 itself at 17:30 hrs the sales person still insisted I visit the Samasung Service Station Directly for my extended warranty. After letting him know we had already done that and were told to visit Hypercity for Extended warranty, he then consulted his collegue/ senior and then stamped a Hypercity helpline number(which was not done when the extended warranty was purchased). I tried calling that number around 17:45hrs and got to know that the working timings were closed and I can call only on Monday.
    I then called the Hypercity general helpline and the executive responded and assured me some action. I got a call from Mr Vivek on Sunday 15th Aug stating that he cannot help me as the extended warranty department works only from Monday to Saturday. Upon me insisting he assured that he will log a call on Monday on my behalf and let me know the complaint number. I was provided with the complaint number 2098 by Mr Vivek on Monday 16th August 2010 at 12:00hrs. He also informed me that I can visit the Goregaon Servic e Centre the same day afternoon and the problem will be rectified.
    After visiting the service centre on Monday 16th August afternoon I was informed that the centre dosent have the part and will take more than a week to get the same(week!!!!).
    I then contacted the Hypercity Helpline number for another service centre information and to my horror I was informed by Mr Pradeep Chetri that there is only 1 service centre in ENTIRE MUMBAI (even this was not told while I purchased the extended warranty). Also the required part is readily available in other Samsung Service Stations, which I cannot visit 
    It’s been 4 days today and hypercity is not even ready to accept the responsibility.
    I am still struggling to get support and my mobile is off from past 6 days due to which I am losing on all my important call and feel like being isolated.
    I feel cheated and am repenting for buying goods from Hypercity. This was never expected from a store like hypercity.

      Dear Sir/Mam,
      Charging More than MRP.
      Invoices Details: -
      Cash Memo: - 6730 Date: - 21/03/10, Cashier: Savita Time: - 18:46, Register: -004
      Incident Occurred in Hypercity- Vashi Inorbit Mall on 21/03/2010
      Had gone to do usual Sunday Shopping, Purchased list of items and randomly checked the Bill which has VAT Tin/CSTTIN, Cess No. and Service Tax No. and found two (2) instances of them overcharging for 2 line items (pictures attached and Packed tins stored for all further reference). Spoke with the Floor Manager(Basement) and asked her the reason She apologized giving all lame baseless excuses which don’t stand valid for Hyper city is operational for long time now and are supposed to be outlets where people save money on MRP.
      The system had charged me Rs. 112.00 where the MRP is Rs. 100.00 (Bar code item #[protected] and Rs. 94.00 where the MRP is Rs. 84.00 (Bar code Item #[protected].
      She refunded me Rs. 22.00 she had overcharged thru

      The Invoice says: - YOU HAVE SAVED RS. 22.00 ON MRP. Which is a wrong statement for they charged me the MRP and I have not saved on the MRP as a matter of fact they had fleeced me of Rs. 22.00 which I recovered.
      This is alarming and I understand Government has invested lot of money to nail the culprits.
      I presume Concerned Government Officials will do the needful in interest of Public Interest who go to this Super markets to save money in such high inflation period but are fleeced by this supermarkets whom they trust the most.
      I would appreciate if you can provide me the details of Action taken.

      hypercity — Overcharging on MRP

      Please refer to the attached picture, (also uploaded at: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2961974&id=[protected]

      The Eveready Batteries has an MRP of Rs. 90/- but is being sold at a price of Rs. 109/- after the discount on the listed price of Rs. 115/-

      The picture was taken on Sunday 5th December 2009 at HyperCity, Link Road, Malad West.

      Most of the other packs had the original MRP removed or Erased with Black Marker. The product is on display on the 1st floor near the Computer and CD section.

      Please attend to this unfair trade practice at your earliest.

      I have had a similar incident with Shopper Stop, which also happens to be a part of the K Raheja Corp and would like to escalate this.
      perfectly agree - hyper city also did the same with me on sunday 7/11/2010 at vashi . staff there is so negligent there are no words for the same .

      Overcharged me for sweetlimes and also gave me 1 no instead of 8 purchased and paid for . half of the things are not there in the bags .

      n pls come n take it, who is going to pay for all this going n coming .

      sincerely, have to state that i, purchased a "acer "laptop on 19/.01/2009 with extended warrany of extra two years paying extra sum of 3000/- rupeess bill provided.but this warrany was not validated to the mnufacturer "acer india"by you.this was informed to me by acer service centre when i asked them to give service to me.when i, contacted to your shop keeper established in "hypercity mall vashi"was told he undertakes the all extended services while extended warranty are accepted on behalf of authorised service centre.now i have problem in my laptop.its dvd case is not working properly.so when you undertake the extended service warranty then please send the mechanic at my house as acer service centre send thier service men to the locality.warranty is attatched with this mail. my name[wahid ali khan-address=new mhada coloney, prashik society, buiding no.97, 3rd floor, room no.311, ambedkar nagar, mankhurd.mumbai-400043].i expect your honesty toward me.

        my name is Abdul Khan and my contact # is[protected], this is with reference to my complain that i have filed with Hypercity guys today i.e.11/04/09 at Malad store around 10.15 pm with Shift supervisor Kalpesh Jadhav. Reference :cash memo # 1495 & 4415. I was charged more than the m.r.p. again...yes when i say again, meant that this had happened with me almost 2 months back and that time also i had registered my complaint verbally with Kalpesh Jadhav. This 2nd incidence has broken my trust with Hypercity. i have been a patron of Hypercity guys since day 1...i have seen this place builiding up from scratch...but today when i look back i feel cheated for the fact that GOD knows how many times Hypercity would have charged me more than the m.r.p of the product. i am waiting for a call from the store manager and want to undertand why it happened...i have the copy of the original bill and the new bill that the c/s desk gave me and if i do not get a response from Hypercity, i will be forced to go to the media to make people aware of how Hypercity is cheated people by charging them more than the mrp.

          I have been sold WIPRO Santoor Hand Wash 180ml pack at Rs. 48.49 whereas the MRP is Rs. 27/-. I have HyperCity, jaipur bill for same. I informed the store manager Mr. Dutta and their Chief of Operation Mr. John Wilcox about it. Wilcox has sent an email stating that I am trying to threaten him. ALso he has stated that I am planning for extortion and I am not allowed entry at HyperCity Mall any more.

          Advise as soon as possible.

            Dear Madam/Sir

            Through your platform, we wish to bring to the kind attention of the general public the nuisances of the services being offered by one of the highly advertised and glamorized retail chain, opening large number of stores across the cities. (Hypercity Argos)

            This is in reference to our order/voucher no. 00799000050302080501215056, Customer no 302 for product code – 100/031/958 (LG window AC – LWA12G2DF1) priced Rs. 14199.00 order date 03.05.2008.

            We were informed that the installation of the unit shall be done at our premises within 48 hours of purchase. However, this version has been constantly changing from the store’s side as well as from the service centre’s end. The two seems to be tossing their responsibility over to each other, causing us distress. To add to our woes, we have been receiving constant calls from the call-centre of the store asking us of our buying experience with the store. Interestingly, even after having repeated our story on every occasion, no affirmative action has been taken.

            On the same day (03.05.2008) we had also purchased four Door curtains from the same store. The delivery person on the stall had given us 3 door and one window curtain, this despite our seeking confirmation for a check at their end. The wrong merchandise had to be replaced the next day, re-visiting the store (Godbunder Road) in scorching sun with small child tucked along.

            These incidences have made us confirm our belief that these flashy stores do not have the expertise to service customers and thus we would want to recommend to the general public to exercise discretion while shopping at these places.

            I wanted to buy a chest of drawers and wanted to have a look at the product before buying it. So i called the customer care and asked them where i could do that. They informed me that i should go to a particular store in Mulund and I reached there at the time they had mentioned. They did not give me the Mulund store number despite my repeated requests.
            On reaching the store I was informed that the product had already been sold and i would not be able to view it. I travelled all the way from Vile Parle for this.
            The Executive at the store was very rude and said that I will have to buy the product to see it and put on a lot of attitude.
            Because of this expierence I would advice every1 to be very careful of such stores.

            HyperCITY Argos / Soft Toy — Home Delivery promised

            I had placed an order in the store on the 27th September 2008 for a soft toy(elephant with muffler) and was told that the product will be delivered at my residence on 29th September 2008 between 4pm-9pm as the product was not available in the store.
            but the product did not arrive on this promised date. When I called the Customer service center, they told me that the product is on its way and shall be delivered on this day itself even as late as 12.00 midnight. Then the next day, i.e today I called up the customer service again, and they told me that it will be delivered between 6-8 pm today. it still did not arrive, so i called up the center again and this time, a person who is supposed to be the supervisore tells me that the product has not been dispatched at all from the warehouse and it will be delivered only tomorrow. Today being the 30th September 2008, nothing has happened and I have already paid my money (Rs. 700)to these people.
            I have been waiting in for two days for a package have called the number on the receipt a number of times only to be told a card has been left as they couldnt deliver I didnt get any card and argos are lying as they didnt even try to deliver I wont be using argos again as they obviously arnt trustworthy

            We have had a worst experience with Hypercity, malad. We bought a Samsung LCD. While doing formalities they were really impressive. All the documentaion was done immediately but when it came to delivery...they delivered us a wrong model. Fortunately we got to know bout this the other day and called up again. They promised us a replcement within 24hrs. We were getting atleast 2-3 calls a day for asking if the installation is done, if we are happy with the service but when we told them about the replacement thing they all used to say please give us some time, we will get back to you but no one really turned up. after a week when we really lost our patience, we had a major fight at the store and got a promissory note from hypercity that if they dont replace it within 3-4 days we will get the money back and will also retain the product. It was only after this they took any action and replaced the product the other day.Now its been atleast 25 days we have bought the product and till date we are getting calls for installation of the product. They dont update their staff about the customer and the entire team keeps bothering us all the time just for a mistake of ever buying something from hypercity.

            I have just received the worst customer service ever from Argos UK.
            I purchased a Pro Action Nevarda 5 person tent, upon first using it two of the poles bent and snapped.! Thus holiday ruined, lots of other campers commen fault on this tent, campers web sites codem this tent.
            I have mad 3 Official complaints to Argos, 2 of which were just ignored.! 3rd complaint actually acknowledged, but Arogs customer services would not offer replacement or refund (true story) this bit is unbelievable- Trish from Customer services told me the only way they would exchange or refund is if I got an Independant Professional to Examine and write a written report to Argos confirming the tent poles were faulty..I tried 3 Camping stores and they just thought it was a joke as they've never heard of such hidious degrading humiliating customer care ever.
            Thus I'm now on to my 4th Official complaint to this lawless company..

            All I can advise is never buy fro Argos, pay a little extra from a propper dept store.
            Hi I bought a gorgeous pram/pushchair/travel systemy thing from argos made by quinney buzz, At 7mts preg a lorry smashed me off the road and i went into labour she looked tiny in her pram. Only 2 weeks after having her (she was nearly 4lbs) we were taking her for a walk to the shops 150 yrds from home when the travel system collapsed squashing her and quick thinking my husband got her out swiftly leaving her with only minors cuts and bruises with a situation like this you can get anyones phone number in Argos, and believe me chick I have them all (pen at the ready):

            Hypercity Retail India Ltd — Inhuman Treatment

            Hi,

            I was working with Hypercity Mumbai for the last 2.5 years. The nature of the Retail Industry is such that you have to work for long hours avg 12-14 hrs daily. Whereas you are being paid for only 9 hours. But then you have some resposibility that you cannot leave untill the required task is over. But this task is such that you have toil hard, continuosly stand for these 12-14 hours and run on the floor. A normal human can do so for 2-3 years but after this, will the back and legs and physical structure allow him/her to work any longer? On the name of cost cutting people are being compelled to do this as they have some basic neccecities in their lives for which they have to earn some money. Now thet question arises that should people be treated in this manner? And above all if you fall ill and you do not appear for few days, situations become worse for you. You will be treated in such a way that you have done a big crime by falling ill. And then you feel immense pressure to leave the job. And I did the same. Now it has been more than two months, but I still have not received my outstanding salary. And above all the HR asks me to bring the PF form as according to him, HR does not keep those forms with them.
            Is this treatment good for employees who have worked for you and also quitley left the company when they feel that they are not fit for the kind of work you people need and expect..... Please pay attention on such things happening inside the company...it will help in future....

            HyperCITY Retail — Defective toy and watch

            I bought a toy gun. The bar code number is[protected]. The gun was defective at the outset. The trigger doesn't work. Have put batteries but no sound or light as promised. What's more... I bought Rs2000 worth of apparel and hence became eligible for the free watch (by paying rs200 extra). Came home and found the watch was also not working. Either I have really bad luck or Hypercity sells really lousy products. Too much of coincidence for a day.

            Hypercity has a policy of refunding defective product. You can go to the Hypercity store you bought your products from and get an exchange / refund - within 14 days from the date of purchase.

            Your Customer Service is bad had a very negative impression given by one of your staff by the name of Rupesh Patekar. The name was provided by an other staff on inquiring.
            This happened a couple of days back on 25 May 2017 late afternoon when I visited your store at Malad (west) Being a regular customer, I had a very bad interaction with this particular staff he did not have any manners/etiquette to interact with customer when I approached him about the product he did not have any knowledge about the product nor he could explain about the product instead he was very rude and harsh.
            With such kind of staff you would be loosing your customer base and also losing you brand impression.
