This is to bring to your notice that I was trying to do an online transaction on 21st August 2009 from my ICICIdirect account (details below) for the purchase of an online motor insurance from ICICI Lombard. However, due to some reason, the transaction failed and there was intimation from ICICI Lombard of failed transaction on my mobile in the form of SMS notification. After a week, on 28th of August, my ICICI account was debited with an amount of 8933 as per the transaction details mentioned below. For the below mentioned transaction, I have tried contacting ICICIdirect and ICICI Lomard but till now the amount is still in the suspense. Surprisingly, on contacting ICICIdirect.com, they ask me to contact ICICILomabrd as they don't have the details which is not at all possible as they are the one who have debited the amount from my account. This is the second week and still there is no trace of the money.

Whenever there is a surge in traffic the site collapses. Like today. Their charges are so high, least they can do is improve the quality of service and factor-in the increased demand.
Stay away from ICICIDirect.com. They have pathetic service quality. Not following SEBI mandate.
No point is escalating matters to Head of Service Quality of COO.They are hopeless...

Dont invest through ICICIDirect.com.

    Sir/madam,

    I am having a Demat Account with ICICI Direct.com.I was asked to resubmit acccount opening form which I already have resubmitted with ICICI at Dehradun branch Of Hathi par Kala.Now they are telling that my account opening form has not been recieved with Mumbai Branch.They have deactivated my demat account from 18.08.2009.Although i had requested them to unlock my account and pledged to second resubmission of documents etc by 30.09.2009.But they are not agreeing to me .I have requested several times by E-mail to [protected]@icicidirect.com but they are dillydallying the thing.

    This has caused a great inconvenience and financial loss to me.
    Please do the needful to re open my account.

      I, Ajay Prakash Ambashta, a junior advocate in civil court patna city.
      Earlier I was involved with your company ICICIDIRECT.COM .
      5 months before I have given my document to Mr. Amritanshu Kumar, ( Senior Sales Manager (Market),
      Boring Road Branch, Patna, Employee ID- 703887), to generate my code as an agent . With this, I have also given him 7 account opening document for that I can get around Rs. 7000 . But, till today, he has not generated my code and my account opening business has been drawn on another code .
      On 25 Aug, 2009, after a long duration when I asked him for my money he has abused and kicked me out of the office with pressure.

        I am holding the demat account with ICICI for eight years and trading in shares since then primarily in the equities. Since december 2008 when I am trading frequently in Margin Plus option provided by icicidirect.com, I noticed unusual change in the share prices.When the order is placed the share price suddenly starts falling to the stop loss triger price and the order is executed. But very next moment the stock prices immediately rises. if its happens once or twice it can be ignored, however I have consistantly seen this happening with me in hte last six months. even when the stock price is altered the price falls to the corrected price and then jumps up. I feel that this is intentially manipulated.

        Thats true. In MarginPlus trading your order always gets executed +/- 0.5 to 1 %, instead of getting executed at the market price. And ICICIdirect gives first priority to hitting the stoploss. Just put a SLTP of around 1% and your order will get executed with a loss.

          I received a mail from ICICIDIRECT about on line tax return preparation & submission which costs about Rs 350/- I clicked the link in the mail to know the details . I could realize that unless I pay this money I will not get the required information, hence I closed this window. I realized later that I have been charged for this services & these charges are debited from my Linked ICICI bank account. I had complained through the mail & I was assigned Complaint No.SR[protected]. After couple of days I was informed that the charges can not be reversed as I have agreed as per the the terms & conditions on the web site .
          I want to bring it your kind attention the fact that I had neither subscribed to this service nor have I used any of the forms for Tax returns. Kindly arrange for this chsrge reversal.

            ICICIDirect has several options while registering for their income tax filing service. I registered for the service which costed most (Rs. 1250/-) and they promise a dedicated relationship manager for this option. It is close to a month now, but they haven't appointed a relationship manager. When asked they say that I have to ask for one explicitly by mailing to [protected]@icicidirect.com. When I mailed to this id, the mails get bounced. When I complained this at ICICI helpdesk, they simply ignored it. Also, when I escalated this issue higher up as per the escalation matrix on their website, they simply do not seem to care. Forget about response, I am not even getting acknowledgment mail. I have decided to close all my accounts with this now Good-for-nothing bank which used to be a good bank at one time.

            Anyone who is reading this information, please be more wise and stay away from ICICI bank and ICICIDirect service. They have been too arrogant with their success and it their time to collapse into dust.

            I more or less agree to what is being mentioned. Though I will qualify it by saying that it has become too machine type with no recourse to get human help on hand. I dread the situation of calling help desk as I do not want get caught being going here and there. Strangely there is no option to address tax issue. In fact I had got a call and said information is on website but there is none. not only that the number that i was given by Monish [protected] is not picked up any one.

            Money has already been debited.

            I completly agree with this. The product is shoddy one and customer service too is poor regarding this product. It is better they stop this product for the time being.
            I purchased Tax services, and money got deducted immediately. So far, I've not heard anything from them. Emails to support have bounced back. Apparently, tax services are provided through taxsmile.com which has negative record on customer support. ICICI direct is trying to find ways to extract money in whatever way it can

            I want changeing my address in last 3 years but every time custemer care said to check the online proceeds.
            In this i can not find the changing the adress process can u please tell me how to change my new parmanent adreess with old adress.
            I have no one any bank statement received without this process.

            ICICI direct dont have a proper document handling process.My demat account got deactivated.
            When I asked customer care about the process to activate this account.They told that you have to submit the KYC as they were lost in flood.As part you have to visit the ICICI direct center and submit the KYC.
            When I visited the center(J P Nagar-3rd Phase Bangalore), initially I dont found anybody in there office at around 11.30 IST, then same one came and told that today there was no person to handle your request you have to come som other day.
            When I visited the next day the relationship executive dont have the idea about the process of activating an old demat account he simple asked my to open a new one.
            Strangely I dont found any phone on that office and I came back I again call the customer care about this issue.Then as per the discussion between CC and relationship exec. they accepted one form called linked form along with 250 RS charges.After some days I found that all my documents are already there and they have rejected that form since my documents are already there.Strange still my account is in inactive state.
            No escalation handling process is there for ICICI.Tomorrow if you loose your money then will simple tell no proof.SO this company has lot of flaws its better to stay away.

              I have opened and DEMAT account with ICICI direct in the month of Dec 2007.

              ICICI provided me with saving account having the Zero balance.

              Now after one year they are deducted Jan 09 Rs 843 & April 09 Rs. 827 for not maintaining the quarterly balance.

              I have visited the ICICI bank for the same, but they directed me to ICICI Direct, now they are saying that you have to maintain the balance of Rs. 5000, this was not agreed at the time of opening the DEMAT Account. They provided me additional saving account with Zero balance. Same has been confirmed by ICICI Direct Nashik ( Rathchakra ) branch.

              Please help me in getting this issue resolved.

                Responding to an unsolicited call on my cell phone from ICICI Direct associate, I complied with their requirements of providing documentation towards opening the above account with ICICI Direct.

                I did draw their attention to my displeasure that last year March 2008 I was disappointed with their processinf my request for a Demat Account with their Bank - as all i received from them was an email at my personal id saying that my application was rejected. No telephone call - No explanations given.

                Their response now was an apology. Everyone needs a second chance and as I was also keen on trading I agreed to fill in the account opening form.

                On their advice to get my original PAN CARD and PASSPORT for verification on 24th April 2009, the Verification Officer RAJU scrutinizes my PANCARD and PASSPORT alphabet to alphabet with the original placed next to the xerox copy. Great verification.

                What is not great is that he infers that my passport is tampered with by saying that there is a different coloured ink used in the word 'MUMBAI' in my passport . The height of this is that this page is originally laminated by the PASSPORT OFFICE and is also ten years old.


                Further he was seeking my approval to make a remark that a different coloured ink was used and he wanted me to sign in acknowledgement of his remark, thus trying to implicate me by volutarily admitting that my passport is tampered with.

                I refused the account opening and will consider it illegal on the part of ICICI Direct to debit any amount from my account towards the account opening.

                I am willing to take this further to any extent, just so that ICICI Bank, does not harras its customers with the likes of Verification Officers who do not know how to identify an original document and suspect that the original Government document is Fake.

                Verification in its proper sense is sending the xerox to the concerned Government Department to check on its authenticity and not trust some half-baked so called 'VERIFICATION OFFICER' who tries to implicate geniune citizens with his wierd remarks

                  Need to know the customer care # for ICICIDIRECT and not for the ICICIBANK.
                  some body mr. Bharat from Barakhamba road new delhi office of icici direct, took cheque and filled up application form from me 10 days ago. Now he refuses to open three in one a/c. on invalid grounds. Some senior person may look into it and help to to expidite the application.

                    Hello Sir,

                    I am Ritesh Shah and having demat account with ICICIDirect.com. I used to trade and invest by their online website located at http://ICICIDirect.com

                    Since long time, there is a problem in their website, as soon as you login to site, it will throw you out by saying session timeout or login id incorrect etc. etc. sometime it lets you click on some link like "Buy" when I click on that and fill the details of shares I want and click on submit, it throws me out and sometime it goes through. same happened with everything with sell, portfolio etc.

                    I complained them but no proper solution or answer. Just because of their programming mistake I am losing my money and opportunity.

                    They have very standard answer "System bugs can't be controlled all time" but my simple question is, does it happens everyday and for so long time???????? if it is happening everyday for long time then it is not system outage but lake of attention.

                    Can I get any help from you?

                      I have applied for 225 shares of Reliance power IPO. I have got 16 shares and that has been deposited in my demat account. But the remaining amount has not received yet. Please look into this and let me know when i will be getting the remaining amount.

                      I am swapnil deshmukh from akola (maharastra). in 11/2005 mr. anand kene & nitin yete canvence. me for open a branch of icici direct in akola location. they said, you if you open a branch in akola you have to diposit rs. 40000/- in icici direct.com for agency. i send a d.d of rs. 40000/- in fevr. of icici direct .com. at Akola urban co op bank ltd. nagpur. mr. nitin yete recv. the D.D. from akola urban bank nagpur. before the sending a dd i am not sign any agreement with icici direct. or aruna investment. nagpur. after some time mr. kene said that the akola branch is close from icici direct. then i said plz. refund the diposit of rs. 40000/- mr. kene said no. that is nonrefundable. before & after diposit this mony i am not sign any agriment with icici direct.

                      Sir/Madam, I am unable to log in to icicidirect.com site since this morning.I had a few problems on the last friday as well.Since i am a day trader and not one of those who is a true long term investor, therefore i have suffered substantial financial losses and i have been in touch with the customer care service many a time during this period of frustating ordeal and each time i have been given adifferent reply(a sweet pill) to satiate my frustration with the promise that my problem will be sorted out soon.I am still wondering that what is the definition of soon.Till that tim I will be twiddling my thumb in hope.I would request if my complaint is tendered to the highest authority and an action in this regard is taken in a sufficiently quick time.

                        Icici direct is very bad site. I am trying to login to the site since last 15 days and was not able to login once properly during 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM. Please help ICICI to change it to JAVA driven site as Microsoft technologies suck.

                        ICICI Direct.com — Web Server goes down too frequently .

                        Web server of ICICIDirect.Com goes down too frequently which result in NO TRANSACTION by many customers. This ultimately results in financial loss for customers of ICICIDirect.

                        Again there is a strong possinility of the happening again on the day of Indian Union Budget.

                        Customers need to be componsated for this.
                        Yes... we strongly gree with it goes down too often...
                        We choose icicidret for its service only inspite of huge brokerage but te service is decresing day by day... we certainly need a compensation from them for every hour of their downtime.

                        I also facing same problem with ICICI Direct site. I have to buy and sell some stocks but I couldn't. I lost money but I don't know who would be responsible for this loss. Why ICICI is not taking any serious decision on this problem as I have seen many people are facing the same problem. Why ICICI Direct is not concern with the services which they have to provide for their clients. They are just sucks.

                        Icicidirect is the worst trading platform because of following reasons:
                        1. Highest brokerage charged as compare to any other in the field like Sharekhan, Indiainfo, Angel broking, Kotak etc.
                        2. The worst software n support system.
                        3. If there is high votality in the market then Retail Investor can forget about buying or selling at this site because it does not function.
                        4. Very casual approach by their so called trained staff & they want you to visit their office for even minor issues. They entertain you while opening an account n if you want to close the account then they find many excuses to delay your case.

                        Avoid icicidirect at any cost if you can
                        Do avoid ICICI.
                        It sucks.
                        Last two days were the best to do trading.
                        But I couldn't even log in.
                        And to top it all of, when I tried to call their customer care, after asking me thousand stupid questions, when i simply wanted to speak to executive, they told me as all lines are busy they cant take my call and hung up.

                        my DMAT acconut login KUMARc3V, I am not able to get detail of purchasing and selled shared before April 2007 How I come to know.

                          IT HAS BEEN OBSERVED THAT THE BONUS SHARES GIVEN BY THE COMPANY “ RELIANCE POWER” IS NOT BEEN CREDITED. THE CONFIRMATION SMS IN MOBILE RECEIVED FROM NSDL, ABOUT THE 10 IN NUMBERS BONUS SHARES HAS BEEN DELIVERED ON 14 JUN 08 AT03.30PM. BUT NOT SHOWING IN MY DEMAT ACCOUNT SO FAR WHY ? IS DEMAT REQUIRED MORE TIME THAN MANUAL LEGACY PAPER TRANSACTION?
                          PLEASE INITIATE AND HELP TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AT THE EARLIEST.

                          Reliance Power Ltd — unable to get bonus shares

                          my bo id[protected]
                          i got 16 shares from relience power ltd as per their primary ipo allotment.but as they have announced that there will be allotment of bonus share as three shares per every ten shares.and that will be done after may 30th.but upto june 4th i am unable to receive the bonus shares, and share value of my holding is reduced as per their procedure.kidly do needful as early as possible.

                              I have applied for terminal of Sub Brokership since 8 months ago at Neemran (Alwar) Rajasthan, but I have not been received the exact status of my application of sub brokership of BSE.

                              Now therefore, you are requested to please let me how can find the exact status of my application and also please let me the what time limit of approval of application by BSE.

                              I have applied for the ICICI direct sub brokership about 6 months ago. Still registration is not there for either NSE or BSE. So response from the customer care or the marketing person of the ICICI Direct. Every month i am tols that it has not come in this month it will come in the next month.

                              What kind of this process is?? when i applied for the sub brokership that time i was told that registration will be given in 3 months maximum. Now it more than the double the time,
                              I want to lauch a complaint for this. Please let me know where can i launch a complaint... as there is no responce from ICICI direct marketing person..

                                Dear Sirs,
                                I am having a trading account No.[protected] with ICICIdirect.com.

                                ICICIdirect.com has fraudulently deducted Rs. 3130.16 rupees from my ICICI Bank Saving Account No.[protected] on 03 Jul 08, towards subscription for Clear Value Deal for the quarter Apr 2008 to Jun 2008, which I have never subscribed. That I have also not been trading with the ICICIdirect.com for the last four months. I have never chosen and subscribed to any clear value plan of Rs. 999/- per month. I had subscribed to the clear value plan of Rs. 299/- per month for the quarter Jan 2008 to Mar 2008 only.

                                Further, I have never given any instructions to ICICIdirect.com even to subscribe for the quarter from Apr 2008 to Jun 2008 for clear value plan of Rs. 299/- per month.

                                You are requested to kindly get my money back from ICICIdirect.com.

                                ICICIdirect.com is the dangerous wolf in the skin of a sheep. Society must be spread with awareness about the malpractices of ICICIdirect.com.

                                Hey Paramjit singh kang,

                                I have been a customer of icci direct and i completely disagree with your complaint. I understand your agony as you feel you lost some money but it is clearly mentioned that if you dont choose any plan for current quarter then the previous quarter's plan is applicable, But in your case you must have changed the plan i dont see any possibility of it happening from the idirect.

                                all you need to do from the next time is take time to read about the plans carefully and see legibly the * conditions apply and then choose to enrol .

                                ICICI is cheating the people is there any guide lines they are following from SEBI or from NSC /BSC
                                as per sebi brokarage should be 2.5 % is maximum
                                I have joined ICICI bank triple account since 2004 and was very satisfied customer till July 2008 being a small retail customer for banking as well as trading. Recently it is observed that Bank has started debiting huge amount of about Rs. 3100/- onward quarterly since July 2008 toward clear value deal, though i have not opt or subscribed any such scheme towards such scheme, So far bank has debited Rs. 9497/- towards this which i have noticed recently and send my service request and qrievance form of ICICI bank to reectify this problem and refund my amount. I hope the ICICI bank will definately consider my request and will credit this amount in my account without any harashment. Let see, I will convey the staus to reader after sometime.

                                  There has been repeated technical issues on icicidirect.com website and due to which i have suffered losses.The repeated calls have been made to their call center and all repeated mails have been sent to [protected]@icici.com.The mail with screenshots have also been sent.The complaint number issued today is 67694139.Who is going to bear these losses to technical errors?I want ICICI to pay for the losses as the torture we customers have to face is due to negligence of big corpoartes like ICICI.

                                  What a marvaless site.. when I look at the PnL, it's shows me last month PnL.

                                  I tried to login since 10:00, but no luck.. my loss is about 23k as of now.. not sure how much is going to rest of the day. Can we file the case in Court ? or shall we go to consume court ?

                                    I had taken certain margin positions, during the end of the trading session I wished to convert my margin positions into delivery. I tried doing so from the website margin position screen, but I was directed to an error page “Due to some technical reason, the page is not available please try after sometime.” Then I called ICICIDirect.com customer care team, the officer tried converting into delivery but they failed from their end also. They were facing the same issue from their end. The officer assured me that they have forwarded this query to their technical team & the issue will be resolved within 5 next mins. Till 03:15 p.m. the issue was not resolved & my margin position was set off automatically.

                                    I had to face a loss of Rs. 2200.00 due to all this. The website & the customer care centre team both could not resolve my issue & I had to suffer a loss.
                                    I 200% percent agreed. I tried login to the site and sell my long position, but I get the same errors. This is not the first that I have this problem. The customer care is ZERO in ICICDIRECT.

                                    How can I raise this issue to Sr.Management ?
                                    Ya. I do agree. This happens especially on a busy and volatile day. When I rang customer care and told them that I couldn't trade, the answer was "high traffic". The Management will be aware of the total customers and they should be able to support the existing level of customers, if they can't they should shut up the business and leave the area.

                                      Hi,

                                      I have online trading account with ICICIDirect.com and suddenly they have locked the account from doing any trading. When I spoke to the ICICI Customer service, they said the reason is the KYC document was not submitted.

                                      I asked them when did they inform me, they claim that they are popping up some window when I login to the ICICIDirect.com. Very honestly, I never saw such a popup when ever I login to ICICIDirect.com. I tried disabling the pop-up blocker, but there was no such pop-up message. But they simply claim that I am wrong.

                                      Now that the account is blocked, and don't know when they will enable even after receiving the documents, my money is blocked over there. I don't know where I have to complaint this issue.

                                      There is no problem in submitting the documents, had it been properly & timely intimated. The question is how can they lock any account, without proper intimation to the customer. Not sure, if this problem was faced by any body else.

                                      Can you please check on the same?

                                        I am having a d mat A/cNo.[protected] with icicidirect.com. I am not able to operate/know my balance with the orgn. and have lost numerous trading opportunitites due to inefficiency of the bank. Now I suspect that there is some fraud. Everytime i attempt opening the A/c I get a message on my screen "password invalid - apply for a new one". This happens even when I try logging in with a new password received from Bombay office. I have visited Delhi office several times, no solution, have spoken to customer careon numerous occasions, haave written e-mails - no solution comes out. In case i suffer any loss due to any fraud, bank will be solely responsible.
