Idea Cellular — Dispute over bill | |||
I am Sreya (who once owned a number [protected]) I have registered complaint regarding call getting forwarded and of the SIM card being lost. However I have been receiving calls asking me to make payment for a bill to which I am not responsible. As per the last call in the month of February, I made a payment of Rs.300 where the caller promised to waive the outstanding amount. Recently I have received a notice from a lawyer asking me to make payment for something I am not due. If these things continue, I am left with no option but to make a complaint against the Company to stop all these calls. I even received a call from some Delhi high court lawyer's assistant which sounded like a fake one. Kindly let me know as to why I should suffer for something I am not liable and for which I have no liability to pay. Is owning an Idea SIM a crime to face a criminal and legal charge? Dear Sir,
I tried all known means to reach Idea (namely, mail, phone and through online portal). But none of them gave me a response.
1. The mails to Appellate.[protected]@idea.adityaborla.com got bounced back saying that the id has been temporarily shut down by the service provider. 2. The mails to ccare.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com got bounced back saying that the mail box of the recipient is full and hence no mail can reach them.
3. I tried calling TN (both prepaid and post paid customer care) and AP customer care service centres and they seem to have no details about this number.
4. I tried to upload my Complaint to the Idea online portal and the portal says the number does not belong to Idea and hence the complaint cannot be accepted.
5. Calls through automated customer care numbers doesn't pass through asking me to check the 10 digit phone number which I keyed it (the number in question is the Idea number that once owned)
6. I received two calls from Idea customer care of which one is asking me for payment and when I explained the problem, they said they are not aware of it and will get back to be at the earliest. The other phone call was asking me if I need any new Idea cellular connection.
I really need to know why I am being bothered for a number for which I reported lost in December 2014. Kindly resolve the same.
