I am a frequent traveller from Bangalore to Marthandam and a regular user of KPN travels.
We should not talk about customer delight etc here as KPN is no way concerned about that.
Being a frequent travels , incidents are more frequent . I am looking out for a alternate bus , but I m not sure if there are any surprises waiting for us there.
1) All the employees of KPN complains about lower wages as if I am paying them less and asking them to carry me on their shoulders
2) I booked a female seat for my mom and I ended up seeing a male sitting adjacent to it. I confirmed that the other booking was done post mine and hence i questioned the guys at bommanahalli office and they replied " Sir we will announce if some one can shift seats , if non one agrees to it , we dont have a option " . They replied someone at indiranagar booked the male ticket unknowingly and hence they are the reason for this , At 10 pm , I need to cal the indiranagar office and do what? . Bommanahalli employees are like they are already payed less and they dont have time for this . Call Customer care ( the not responding customer care number)
3) Once I booked a ticket from bangalore to Marthandam and wanted to board the bus from Krishnagiri , which was well in the route.
I called KPN 6 times and no one takes up the responsibility to inform the driver , nor the authoriries. They are like
"Why dont u come to bangalore and board the bus to marthandam which goes via krishnagiri (100kms)?"
I very well know that I dont need any KPN guy to tell me that ,
I resulted in driving to hosur and catching the bus.
4) Drivers and Cleaners in KPN belong to a different planet. They guess they are the only one who got this capability of driving .
Imagine this
" Bus comes late after 1.5 hrs and then the cleaner rushes to load all our bags inside the bus in 2 mins " I have argued many a times . I dont see any other passengers supporting me . I never bother I just make them open back deck to load heavy bags there. Always insist on this , Don't take trouble in keeping ur heavy baggages near ur seats ( make sure there is no valuable things there ).
The major reason why they insist u to take the baggage inside is bcos they take commission and accommodate some other parcels inside that.
I can take a bike inside that paying may be 200-300 rs to the driver and cleaner. I have seen people doing that .
So always insist them to open the back deck to load ur heavy baggages
5)If the cleaner or driver is rash , raise ur voice , there should be atleast one passenger there in the bus like me in the bus.Do you think they will be rash if 10 passengers come in a group? never , Please understand that . Always try to help other passengers let us bring in this culture.
6)Incidents where the AC went down after 30 mins of travel , Incidents where we shifted 5 buses during a night journey
I have seen people very adjustive and KPN takes advantage of it. heheh.
I m planning a trip soon , Lets see whats waiting for me there and I guess we are gonna face KPN as a group.

I used to be one of the regular customers of KPN for past 10 years and over the last 3 years I am finding their service worsen and they are worse than public sector .
Now I have completely stopped booking bus tickets for me or my friends and family thru KPN .
I KNOW THEY ARE LARGE ORGANISATION ... BUT THEY SHD ALSO MONITOR THEIR STAFF AND THEIR SERVICE .
OTHERWISE THEY WILL BE NO WHERE IN THIS COMPETITIVE WORLD IN NEXT 10 YEARS
