    I have recently booked a flight from Mumbai to Milan (booking cide: KLEP6T) from lufthansa website for the month of September. When I booked my flight I did not come across any concession that the company provides to students who travel from India to Europe. Just after booking I came across their page where I could see the student discount. As a first time flyer one will never be aware of such discount been given. When I mailed them and asked if I can still avail the discount, I was refused since I have already booked my tickets.
    I just request the company to give me the baggage allowance as per the rules. The documents that they will be requiring as an identity proof as student will be provided.

      I'm writing this post a very painful flight experience with Lufthansa on an aircraft LH755 from Bangalore - India, flying to Frankfurt on the 14th of June 2022, scheduled for departure by 03:05 IST (Indian Standard Time). Below, I have narrated the details of my experience on the aircraft.

      Post boarding the flight I had requested for a blanket since it was not provided to a selected set of seats around where I was seated, to which the Airhostess' response was that she was very busy and I had to wait; after a wait of nearly and hour and yet another request to which there was no response, the Airhostess threw the blanket at me.

      The second incident was after 6 hours into the journey, I had requested for a cup of tea by accessing the button to call for it on my seat to which a very angry Airhostess came over and yelled at me saying there were 250 members on board and I should go to the kitchen and ask for it myself if I require anything. Although I would like to mention that another brown Airhostess was kind enough to bring it to me and ask for anything I needed.

      I tried to look for the names of these 2 Airhostesses who ill-treated almost every other Indian Passenger on board, unfortunately they put on her blazers once they realised that I was looking for their batches. I still managed to find - 'T.Bru...' written on one of their batches. Unfortunately I was not able to see the rest of the name.

      All the passengers on this aircraft that were on Indian origin or otherwise were given vegetarian meals by default, when I requested for a different meal option they responded that these were only available and I had to pre-book a different meal if I wish to eat anything different.
      Hence I pre-booked my 'Non-veg Hindu' meal from their options available and I was given another 'Vegetarian' meal again on the aircraft LH754 from Frankfurt - Germany, flying to Bangalore - India on the 29th of June 2022, scheduled for departure by 13:05 Central European Time.

      After my terrifying flight experience, I’m hurt and feel attacked for my race as an Indian. As a practising Architect who is educated in India and having studied in Schools in USA and France, I truly empathise with other Indians who travel by this airline who don’t speak the language; who were severely bullied and treated poorly on their flights with Lufthansa.

      I speak for all the Indian passengers travelling by the Economy Class with Lufthansa. Over my return to India I had come to a realisation after my interaction with countless Indian travellers, travelling by Lufthansa airlines, that they had been treated similarly.

      I wowed to get justice over this, not just for me but my fellow passengers; and never to step foot into this airline ever again.
      My only desirable resolution is that, action be taken against whoever was involved in the same.

        I have to complaint for flight LH1282 Frankfurt to Athens 16/5 13:45
        We were boarded on time 13:15 and the aircraft left after 3 hours. For three hours we were seated in the aircraft waiting for updates. I have a child 6 years old, had nothing to eat because this was a connection flight and the previous flight was also delayed, so we were running to be on time. We boarded on time at 13:15 and the only think given for 3hours was a really small chocolate!!! When I requested from the staff to give me the option to
        Order and PAY they replied that they are not allowed until the aircraft is in the air!!!
        They gave me an apple and some peanuts… but as you may understand this is not a solution for a six years old boy at 14:30 that a lunch is served . I was really disappointed from the service and wouldn’t expect from a company like Lufthansa not to provide any food and drinks, not even the option to pay for it, to passengers seated for 3 hours in a craft and then having another 2, 5 hours flight that you had to buy the food. This was unaccepted. Unfortunately although Lufthansa was a preferred company all these years, after that I will think in the future if I will choose your company to fly again… you have no people oriented mindset especially when we are talking for children!!!

          I have arrvided from Toronto via Frankfurt to Budapest on May 12th, 2022 but my luggage was not on the plain. I have filed a Lost Bag claim#BUDLH87010, Tag#AC040813.
          I was advised that my luggage will take a day or two to find. Of course everything I own was in the luggage. Coming from Canada I was not prepared for the hot and sunny day in Budapest. I advised the counter that I will need to purchase a few items to last me until they locate and deliver my luggage.
          I purchased a summer top, PJs to sleep in, a pair of socks, slippers, tooth brush, small shampoo and body wash. This totals 10, 036 Forint. I need this reimbursed by Lufthansa immediately. Luckily my luggage was found and delivered to me late at night, just before going to bed.
          I will be in Hungary for the next two months, and can provide you with an address to send this reimbursement amount. The luggage is not too bad of a shape except the legs were broken off. Brand new luggage and can't even make one trip without getting it damaged.
          Please advise what further info you need. I don't think I was unreasonable in my purchases, since you can't expect me to be without my belongings for unknown period. Luckily only a day.

              I had booked a flight from Netherlands to India which I missed as the covid reports came positive which was completely shocking as i didn't have any symptoms. Hence the ticket went as no show, as when we contacted to reschedule Lufthansa clearly told us due to non availability, the same tickets can't be rescheduled also it was a non refundable ticket. So we didn't bother to cancel. Now when we are availing the return ticket which was booked together, Lufthansa had put a penalty for the no show ticket. I want the money back.

                Airline cancelled ticket amount not refunded

                Booking code : K4QJDN booked from Barcelona to Delhi on 21-Dec 2021 was cancelled by Lufthansa and I was given option to either book for alternative date or seek refund. I opted for refund as Lufthansa could not offer me booking for the my choice of travel date. I spoke to Lufthansa customer care several times to check status of my refund but they continue to say they do not have any information and that I should write to refunds section...

                  Letter dated 21.06.2021 Ref - KRK BE/DC O13 received on 21.07.2021

                  At the onset, let me put it on record that your claim is unjustified and to the contrary you ought to reimburse me for the expenses incurred by me for the incompetence of your staff.

                  Here are the facts-

                  1. I had booked a flight on 01.04.2021 flight details LH - 865 (PNR 64V6B7), thereafter your staff checked my residence permit and passport at Oslo and found it in order for entry into Mexico and allowed me to board the flight that was via Frankfurt.

                  3. Again at Frankfurt, they checked the documents and allowed me to board the onward flight to Mexico.

                  4. On arrival in Mexico, they checked the documents and directed me to wait in the immigration room for around 3 hours, which was after already having spent 24 hours from the time I left Oslo. Then they decided, after consulting many senior officers, that I can't be allowed into Mexico, even though I had a valid residence permit of Norway, only because it wasn't endorsed on the passport. None of the previous airport staff objected to this residence permit, but finally in Mexico they decided it wasn't valid.

                  6. Due to this I spent INR 88637 (EUR 1016) on tickets and EUR 139 on Covid tests at frankfurt and further NOK 4000 (EUR 386) on quarantine, which was only because of my leaving the country due to the incompetence of your staff which was not aware of the rules. Apart from the hardship that I faced, I have incurred an expense of EUR 1541 which you must reimburse immediately.

                  7. This whole ordeal caused a lot of heartache as the plan was for me to meet my fiance in Mexico and he had flown down especially for this, we had bookings for the hotel and sightseeing which had to be cancelled. However the psychological impact and the physical discomfort apart, you must reimburse my actual expense immediately.

                  8. However I reserve my right to file a separate claim for the 53 hours of mental torture I had to endure due to the lack of knowledge and incompetence of your staff.

                    Rebooking is not being made possible. Government regulations changed. We bought tickets high. Airline wouldn't refunds but wouldn't help us rebook either, charging 3 times the fare we paid which was already higher than usual. Ripping us off.

                    If you can't refund at least have the character to accommodate impacted passengers on the next available flights without fare change.

                    Call centre doesnt answer. We don't have the ability to rebook ourselves, we are stuck in a mess with this airline.

                      In this connection, with due respect, I submit that I booked a ticket with Lufthansa Airlines on July 4, 2021. The booking confirmation code is MIWORU. The flight is from Delhi to Mumbai to Frankfurt and then Belgrade. The original flight was supposed to take off on July 28, 2021 at 09:40 pm from Delhi. However, Lufthansa unilaterally changed the said reservation on July 05, 2021 and the take off time has been changed to 08:50 pm from Delhi. First of all this take off time doesn’t work for me. Apart from this, the Government of Serbia changed the entry requirements on July 09, 2021 as they introduced a mandatory quarantine of 7 days for all the passengers who’ll enter Serbia after July 9, 2021. This change also doesn’t work for me either as I had a connecting flight from Serbia to Canada which got cancelled. I can’t quarantine in a country where I am not aware of their language, demographics and currency. Thereafter, I put multiple requests to Lufthansa Airlines to provide me a full refund for the ticket. However, all my requests and emails are being ignored by Lufthansa airlines and all my efforts are going in vain thereby causing me mental tension & harassment. They have not responded to any of my queries. Kindly, help me to get me my hard earned money refunded as Lufthansa Airlines changed the take off time and the Government of Serbia have changed their entry requirements.
                      Furthermore, while booking the ticket, I was deceived by misrepresentation by Lufthansa Airlines as they falsely advertise on their website that they would refund the unused part of the fare. Surprisingly, after booking the ticket, I’m being told that they consider unused part of the fair as taxes and not the General Ticket Price. They should advertise it properly on website as according to any customer, the whole fare (General ticket Price, taxes, fees, surcharges etc.) remains unused until the checkin counter gets open for the outgoing flight. Also, I’ve requested for refund of my money well before the take off date.

                      With this mail, I humbly request you to get me full refund of my hard earned money as I believe that it is highly unfair on the part of Lufthansa Airlines for advertising inappropriately & fraudulently deceiving their customers.

                        I had a flight from Iran (Tehran) to Vancouver
                        One-stop flight.
                        Both flights were pack with passengers and it was no space between passengers during covis so we where beside each other and they put me to so much stress of getting sick and mental stress .i could not even eat
                        It was scary to see full flight in this situation

                          I was advised by Lufthansa that because of covid my flight for September had been changed resulting in me not being able to take this revised flight. I received an email and clicked on the option 'i want a refund' then I heard absolutely nothing. This was on the 9th June. I then contacted them and was advised my refund had been lifted and to check my bank. Nothing. Then I was told to contact my bank which I did. Nothing. I contacted them again and was told twice the same thing. Yesterday on the 12th July I was then informed my refund had been sent in the form of a voucher. I advised I have never received an email with a voucher. I was told to check my spam which I have already done. After informing them I was told that they can not resend the email again as it is automated. (I have to have this email to click on a link to convert from a voucher to a refund) now because I have not been sent this email they are refusing to do anything for me and the customer services adviser has confirmed this to me. I am utterly disgraced and desperate for help.

                            I made payments for excess baggage, payment got deducted from my bank but neither confirmation or acknowledgement was sent to me. At airport they informed me, I do have excess baggage. I sent detailed email to customersupport.[protected]@dlh.de, however no one has acknowledged the email or sent any response. At customer care, they just tell me to email. Please help.

                                  Tickets were booked in December 2019 for travel to New York(JFK) from Mumbai in June 2020.Due to Covid19 the airline had stopped flying and give option for alternate booking. The rebooking was done to fly April 2021and subsequently rebooked for June 2021 by paying additional amount. The particular flight of June 21 was cancelled by Lufthansa, and offered alternate arrangements. Same was not acceptable to traveler and hence tickets were cancelled on 09/10th march 2021.Lufthansa has confirmed to refund the money. The amount was around 1, 52Lakhs.On march19, Lufhthansa paid around Rs.19, 000/-against seat booking. For balance amount waiting since 5 weeks but the call Centre is not committing any dates.Pls.Help.

                                    I have been chasing Lufthansa for 4 months to get my refund for the flights which was cancelled due to COVID but till date I have not received the refund.

                                    They sent me an email on 4th Dec 2020 that the refund will be credited within 15 days which has not happened so far. So i finally called them on customer care and they said that refund was processed on 4th Dec 2020 but they do not have any trasnaction or reference number for me to check with my Bank. I have checked my card through which the ticket was booked and there is no such refund.

                                      I hope that this email will be read by a person who suffered the loss of a loved one and understands my pain related to prolonging the refund for my ticket.
                                      In October of 2019 I went to visit my family in North America and
                                      flew with your airlines. While on holiday I learned that my Father
                                      ( 91 years) was diagnosed with cancer and was in danger of imminent death.(hospital documentation and death notice were sent to your office).
                                      I informed Lufthansa that I could not use my return ticket a day before my departure.
                                      I bought the return ticket for the same day, as there were no Lufthansa flights that day, and immediately returned to Warsaw. My Father passed away soon after my arrival and I was able to be with him for a short time.
                                      After my arrival, I immediately applied for my refund which, as I was told, would be given to me with a slight delay. I also received a letter of apology for a delay in processing. No mention of denial.
                                      I was patiently waiting for my refund. However, a year later I received a "nameless email"
                                      telling me that my refund was denied, after over a year of waiting. This situation is unacceptable
                                      for me and I am asking you to review your regulations as pertaining to my refund request. Below is the second email which I received from the address below.
                                      Please provide me with a more specific, signed justification and quote a specific paragraph
                                      which states "that EMD is non refundable as per fare rule" when a passenger informed you 24 hrs before the departure time. As an airline you were aware of a free seat in your reservation system 24 hrs before the departure.
                                      Lack of an acceptable response within 30 days will result in further escalation of this complaint.
