I had made a booking on Jet Airways Pune-Kolkata for 9th Dec 07.flight with my Lufthansa Miles and More Card no [protected].
However when I went to board the flight I was told that the same did not feature in their list(Jet Airways). They said that the request had not been processed and automatically cancelled by Lufthansa, I had to purchase a Full Fare ticket amounting to 17725 INR with ticket no[protected]. I sent Several Emails to [protected]@dlh.de who said that they would not refund the amount since they had "PRESUMABLY" sent an email on 1st Nov saying I would have to confirm the ticket though I received no email. I even forwarded them an email sent from them on 3rd Nov on another on another subject so chances that I overlooked the email sent on 1st was impossible unless it was not sent at all. Even during the phone booking, the customer care representative had not informed me that I have to confirm the itinerary which he had mailed. A follow up mail to crelation.[protected]@dlh.de. gave no response. Seems they are delibrately hiding the facts to avoid compensation.
It seems to me that the IndiaMiles Team at Lufthansa makes false claims on redemption and uses this technique to cancel the booking without intimation and put the blame on the passenger.
However I wish to say that Jet Airways helped get me a last minute ticket though the made good money out of my Situation.Paying 17,000 for a domestic ticket is suicide.
Please help on this.
