Baggage lost

I traveled on EK569/EK927 (HAHCVW) to Cairo and LH587/LH494 (698XBX) to Toronto. At the airport the airline staff was requested to checkin 2 bags to Cairo, but they insisted the bags be connected to YYZ, stating airline code share agreement. At arrival in Toronto the bags were said delayed and were going to be sent to the address of relative. After 2 days Missing bags file was created and bag content forms were filed. Dear Lufthansa Team,

I, Prashant Gidwani (+1) had booked the tickets from Delhi to Berlin departing on 07/02/2023 ( PNR No:- 5F88JE) .
We were traveling with a valid Schengen Visa which is also applicable to Germany. The ground staff refused to onboard us due to your team's misunderstandings regarding Schengen visa applications, and hence we could not travel on 7th February (early morning hours).

But, when we booked another Lufthansa airlines ticket for the same date (07/02/2023) afternoon hours, the other staff allowed us to board with the same Schengen Visa. (new itinerary through which we traveled in the afternoon hours, is also attached) .

It was clearly a misunderstanding or mistake on your end.

We have faced harassment and overnight stay expenses which we are not claiming but we are seeking for a full refund of the amount paid for our travel on 07/02/2023, refund seeking itinerary with PNR No:- 5F88JE

    My baggage was delayed on LH756 on 20th Jan. Baggage claim BOMLH82584 and received the baggage after 2 days. Submitted the expense claim form for self and wife. under FB ID[protected], provided all info including bank account, address etc but still not received payment. The guy who sends me emails from Lufthansa is Sachin Chaurasia. Every time I raise a complaint through their feedback form, they just generate another FB ID with standard copy/paste email, but no action. I have at least 2 more FB IDs[protected], 37045828 which I know. I called their number[protected] and after 5 attempts got connected to a lady called Shweta who said, she can't help on expense claim issues and that has to be addressed only through emails. I have sent at least 10 emails on the main FB-ID and 2-3 emails on other FB-IDs mentioned above, including mentioning my phone contact, but no response??? I will be raising this with consumer court in India, aviation regulatory authorities in India and Canada, as well as on social media... utilizing all the emails and documentation on this matter.

      According to the letter I received from them, Lufthansa would reimburse me 1620.88 EUR for the baggage. According to Lufthansa they have made a transfer to my bank account. They said I would have to wait 2-3 business days to see the credit on my account. Since I have not received the transfer on my account I had to write...

      Lufthansa

      My connecting flight with Delta on 4 May, which was booked by Lufthansa, was not paid for and got canceled from Fairbanks to Seattle before 12 hours, and I was not informed about it.

      When I reached the Fairbanks airport around 12 before the scheduled flight, I was informed that my flight was not paid for, and they did not let me board the plane. I tried to call Lufthansa, but my call was not connected for more than an hour. I was not even allowed to pay for the "ticket" by Delta airlines as their system didn't have the option to do that, I tried to get another ticket on the same flight, but it was fully booked. The Delta assistant at the airport was kind enough to help me find an alternate flight to Seattle through different airlines, and the only option I had was 9 am flight from Fairbanks.

      I had to book another Alaskan Airlines flight at 9 am by myself as I did not want to miss my international flight to Mumbai from Seattle at around 2.15 pm. My flight from Fairbanks reached Seattle at 1.40 pm. So I had to freaking run through all the gates at Seattle airport and take 3 trains to reach my gate. I did not even have a boarding pass then, so I requested the assistant at the boarding gate to give me my boarding pass to get on the flight.

      I have never experienced this kind of incompetent service and inconvenience from any airline. I want a full refund of my ticket as compensation for the trouble and disruption in my travel.

      I have attached a picture from a delta airlines screen showing there was no paid ticket in their system for me. (They were kind enough to let me take the picture as proof).

        I had flight from Los Angeles to Bombay via frankfurtbut on 26 December 2022 flight LH450 to frankfurt and then frankfurt to Bombay after departing from the lax it got diverted and cancelled on chicago due to laptop of some passenger on fire and the Lufthansa ground staff said to book new ticket and they will refund original ticket and reimburse newly booked flight but after coming at my original destination they only refunded original ticket and not any of hotel stay or the newly booked ticket that I booked and I had exams on coming to my original destination so I had to endure mental torturing of the Lufthansa staff on call by them when he asked for the reimbursement of the new flight that I booked at airport so I'm complaining for reimbursement for the new ticket that Lufthansa didn't reimburse and for the mental torturing that their ground staff gave to my son on call by ghosting emails and cutting off call mid talk rudely behaviour on call by them

          I had travelled from UK to India on 31st December 2022. Lufthansa missed my baggage during transit in Germany and I was stuck in India till 3rd Jan without any of my things. I had my laptop charges in it and hence was unable to work till then. Their website said I can claim for this delay. I submitted my claim on 2nd Jan and till date have heard no response from them. I've sent multiple follow-ups but still no response. This is abhorrent customer service.

            Lufthansa is withholding my baggage at the Delhi Airport and is giving me no update. I can see the same online status for the past days and no one is ready to talk about it on the phone. Customer Service is completely useless and won’t help at all. They are not picking up my phone and agents that are picking up are disconnecting as soon I share my issue. It has been a huge headache for me and I have had no update ever since.

              Lufthansa is a nightmare for anyone travelling from USA to India.

              The original itinerary for my son Aditya Camarushy travelling from Indianapolis to Mumbai was as follows
              1. Original Itinerary IND - EWR (UA 3608) - EWR - MUC (LH 413) - MUC - BOM (LH 766)
              Lufthansa flight EWR - MUC (LH 413) from Newark was delayed by 2hr and 10 mins due to some freak action by ground staff taxing the plane.
              Aditya reached Munich late and it was a nightmare as he came out of the aircraft at Munich on 19th Dec at 1pm and around 1:20 he saw a mail from Lufthansa that LH766 was cancelled and Lufthansa has issued him two flight to Mumbai via Dubai as per the revised itinerary below.
              2. Actual itinerary IND - EWR (UA 3608) - EWR - MUC (LH 413) - MUC - DXB (EK 050) - DXB - BOM (AI 912)
              At Dubai airport the ground staff harassed him and intimated him till he paid US$ 267 for his 2nd bag although he has paid US$ 100 to United Airlines in Indiana.

              On reaching Mumbai on 20th Dec at 10am there was another big disappointment that both his check in bags did not arrive.

              We hold Lufthansa airlines completely responsible for messing up Aditya’s travel and we look forward to financial compensation for
              1. Flight delay,
              2. irregularities with the flights,
              3. Missing baggage
              4. mental trauma,
              5. physical exhaustion,
              6. Overall journey getting delayed by 15 hours over and over the expected 26 hrs
              7. And excess payment for 2nd bag in Dubai even though the payment was done.

                My baggage was delayed on Flight LH766, Munich-Mumbai on 19th December. It has been located and sent via the same flight on 21st. The flight has already landed 12 hours ago and there is no update about the receipt of my luggage or delivery status. I’ve tried calling the numbers provided at airport for last 12 hours. Not one call was answered. It is important for me to get my baggage by weekend. Reference mumber: BOMLH81859

                  Lufthansa seems like is going Bankrupt, they cannot afford staff salaries since they have no trained manpower to handle Customers. Was travelling from Newark to New Delhi via Munich transit, Flight cancellation happened at Munich, had to stand in line for 8 hours for new boarding pass, lounge closed at 10pm for Business Class travelers, no hotel vouchers, got stock there for 30 hours. HORRIBLE!!

                  After the traumatic experience at Munich Airport reached New Delhi to find no checked-in bags. No one was there at Lufthansa to give updated status of the bags, you can only get online status, their landline or 1800 numbers are programmed to get disconnected on calling, Airport office phone number which deals with delayed bags only operates from 11pm to 3am.

                  Lufthansa GERMAN Airlines is a third world country airlines

                    August 2022: I had purchased a round trip ticket for my mother BLR to BOS and BOS to BLR. I made BOS to BLR ticket refundable by paying extra amount of around Rs.20000 as we were not sure about the return date.

                    7th NOV 2022: I cancelled it thinking I will be refunded for the return journey. But now we are facing issues with the refund.

                    Bhumika Kapoor at esales.[protected]@dlh.de said this:
                    In reference to your trailing mail we would like to inform you that your ticket had 2 fare levels out of which 1 is non-refundable making the entire ticket Non-Refundable.
                    In case refund is processed you would be eligible for refund of few unused taxes only.

                    But the above information was not disclosed to us in the ticket or while booking the ticket. Why did they charge us extra money to make the return ticket refundable while booking when this was the scenario?
                    We should get around Rs.55000 - Rs.60000 refunded.
                    It is a lot of money for us and we need it urgently for personal purpose.
                    This issue is causing mental distress to my family as it is our hard earned money and it is not good for my parents health as they both have High Blood Pressure. Customer service at Lufthansa is not ready to address it even after calling multiple times.

                    Please try to understand the situation my family is in and help us.

                      Hello. In august, I was ticketed to fly on Lufthansa and return to Los Angeles from Italy. When I got to the counter, they had no record of my reservation. Therefore, I had to purchase a new ticket on the spot. The ticket was booked through expedia though upon departing in July, I had to switch the departing date due to covid. It was NOT to affect my return, but it did. Expedia is blaming you and you guys blamed expedia when we were returning home. Now, we are out over $3000. My name is Lawrence Golin. I was to return on August 3rd. the ticket number was[protected]. Please help and let us know if you are dealing with expedia on this.They are claiming they are talking with Lufthansa.                         This is regarding my baggage claim.
                        I had travelled to Europe for vacations
                        My first stop was to Spain by Lufthansa I had a connecting flight from Frankfurt, when I arrived in Spain IBIZA my luggage didn't arrive, I was in Europe until 24th July 2022, and without any new clothes.

                        I am not sure how is it so difficult for an airline like Lufthansa to transfer the luggage from one flight to another without having them missed.

                        Its 2 months they haven't provided status on my baggage neither they have provided any reimbursement

                          Hi,

                          My family was flying from Deutsche Lufthansa AG(LH) 760 from Frankfurt to Delhi date. Boarded on Sat 9 July and landed on 10th July 2022 on Sunday.
                          On Delhi terminal 3 we left our brown colour bag. Lufthansa told us that they will inform us about the bag. It's been 2 months we are trying to get in touch with someone to get the bag but it's useless. Can someone s help us in getting the same. Pls contact on [protected]

                            My name is Narges Khosravi Nejad Tehrani and I have recently experienced a disastrous travel experience when I had a round trip from Sweden to Germany, to meet up with my siblings whom I have not met in a long time due to the pandemic. I have problem with my back, which is why I spent extra money to find the most comfortable and quickest trip from Gothenburg to Nuremberg.
                            I would was on Lufthansa Flight 813 from Gothenburg, July 8 this year at 10:20 AM and would arrive in Frankfurt at 12:25 and from where I was supposed to take Flight LH 144 at 13:10 and arrive in Nuremberg at 13:50. I have paid to check in my luggage all the way to Nuremberg. Two days before the trip, I was told that my plane between Frankfurt to Nuremberg is cancelled and I will be contacted with another itinerary.
                            I had not been contacted during that time and got no response either from Lufthansa support or anyone in the airport when I tried to reach out to them.
                            I worried for two days about the trip, when my son followed the instructions you emailed about checking the booking at Lufthansa website it returned that the flight did not exist, there was no such booking number although it is the same one you emailed me, when the booking was confirmed. There was not much more we could do so, I arrived at landvetter airport already at 7:30 am to have time to talk to the Lufthansa staff and look at their solution. After a long time that they could not manage to contact the Lufthansa central, I was told that I had to get by train from Frankfurt to Nuremberg, something that was very difficult for me considering that I had luggage and had back pain already as it was, which I explained to them.
                            When I saw that this is the only solution to get there to see my family and not to waste my vacation, I was left with no other option, they told me I had to make an appeal to you for a refund/compensation and proceed with the trip as is. Time passed and at about 9am the checking staff told me that my flight has been delayed from 10:20 am to 2:45 pm, though I had a reserved seat on that flight and it was not cancelled. I was forced that day to stay in the airport from 7:30 to 15:15 with that flight also being delayed. Because of that delay, I missed the 5:36 p.m. train after all, running and stressing in search of the luggage and dropping it around in the grand halls of Frankfurt airport. The next train was 18:40 and I was almost paralyzed of all the backpain and suffering during the long journey, I arrived in Nuremberg at 21:09.
                            This backpain however got worse and lasted for many days.
                            My return trip didn't rather get better, I was supposed to travel, July 19 at 6:10am from Nuremberg Airport and arrive in Gothenburg at 9:40am with a stopover in Frankfurt the flight from Nuremberg to Frankfurt was cancelled and once again I had to take the train, at this moment I felt so bad that I at first refused to take the train trying to explain my back pain, nonetheless there was not much I could do. I missed my family back home and didn’t want to risk missing the flight from Frankfurt so I took the train at 05:35am.
                            The nightmare was not over, as we boarded the aircraft in Frankfurt there was a long delay where we had to sit in the aircraft for over an hour and a half, my back was starting to hurt even more I could not sit still. Almost worse than the train trip itself. This experience will haunt me for my next trips, an experience I never wish upon anyone. I did not pay all this money to spend majority of the trip on a train, having to carry the luggages by myself. As if that was not enough, I also lost two vacation days, 2 days where I had to rest due to my back pain instead of actually enjoying it with my siblings.
                            I expected Lufthansa to contact us passengers and try to make amends for the chaos that caused, but not a single word and for this I am truly disappointed. I am writing to you because I want some answers, I want some compensation for the horrible experience that I had to go through, Even a full refund would not be enough to compensate this awful and painful experience that I was put through, but atleast an explanation and a compensation could show that this experience is something even Lufthansa will not accept for any of their customers, and I hope that you can gain the trust of your customers again and that this will not happen again.

                              I have booked two tickets from Austin to Bengaluru for 27th July 2022. The booking id are: 5T27RN, VXGDXX.
                              There is some strike on the day and the flights got cancelled. So instead of refunding, they provided alternative flights (of other airlines). This was arbitrary, without even consulting or giving options to me.
                              On top of it, the original ticket had 2 pcs of free luggage from Austin to Blr. Now the rebooked tickets from Austin to Chicago leg with United Airlines seem to only have 1 pc of free luggage. United Airlines is saying that when the ticket got rebooked, that is the information that they got. The rebooking was done by Lufthansa and no one is picking the phone to enquire about this.
                              Now I am having to pay Rs. 20000 extra for my luggage!
                              I request an that Lufthansa immediately to compensate for this.

                                We had a flight booked from Chennai to Luxembourg in the 27th of July at 1:50am which means we needed to be at the airport at around 10:30on on the 26th (today). We were informed that our connection flight from Frankfurt to Luxembourg was cancelled and it took hours to contact customer care to find a solution and an alternate flight. Another customer care person answered and informed us that's it's not cancelled. The call service was so bad and we spent hours just trying to reach out to them. My husband's first day of work is set as the 1st of August and we had booked hotels and everything was planned. We booked additional luggage which we couldn't even get a refund on and they refused to help us in any way. So inconsiderate. With no choice left and no other options we had to forcefully agree to a flight on 1st. We are facing a huge loss because of this. My husband has missed his start date by one week, we are losing one week's hotel stay and all our plans have been ruined!

                                It occurred on: 26/07/2022

                                There has to be some kind of remuneration and repayment for the loss and mental stress we have gone through during this situation. This is not right at all. It was a planned strike and they could have informed people earlier...rather than 12 hours before the start of our journey.

                                I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply back via this email account.

                                  Would want to express my extreme disappointment and dismay to the experience i am going through … My chack in lagguage has gone missing since the last 24 hours and i am yet to hear about any advancements. I have already ligged a complaint at the airport with Luftansa . I’ here on a official visit with not at all in a good state of mind to focus as all my important belongings are in my check in laguagge.
