This is a copy of a letter that I sent to one of the Shopify Board Members...
He of course did not take ownership of the problem but simply passed it on to one of his "minions". She in turn did the exact same thing... And so NOTHING has been resolved...
I am truly staggered at the levels of incompetence at both WIX and Shopify in dealing with problems, that lead to complaints that then escalate...
If any of their customers were to do what these two companies have both done, they would kick you off their platforms...
It's now two days later and Nothing has Changed, My website is still down.

You really need to teach your "Customer Service Staff" what compassion is, and life does not always revolve around the mighty dollar...
In the past 18 months, I have lost my Business, and my wife has lost hers through Covid Restrictions being in place in Thailand.
We have just spent the last year trying desperately trying to build a new one. By planting over 5, 000 trees. We are going to sell Moringa-based products through a website.
We initially built a website through Wix, so I purchased the domain name through them, www.thaimoringa.com everything was looking good, until it came to connecting the payment provider 2c2p their advertising stated that they needed 2 - 3 days so after 9 I tried to contact them only to be told
"We are very sorry for the late reply. We got a lot of emails during this time and we are missing some emails. We are trying to reply back all of them.
Sorry for the inconvenience again."
So we contacted another payment provider called Omise who agreed that they could help us but we would have to move to Shopify... All the while we are receiving zero income, and we also run a dog shelter for 24 dogs... So money is extremely tight...
When we moved over to Shopify I signed up for the 14-day free trial, I was immediately charged $14, for what I didn't know at the time, this really upset my wife as it was money we could not afford. I later found out it was a charge for simply moving MY purchased domain.
We built the site and waited for the Domain, it never came, so after 4 days I contacted to support this was Saturday and was told it could take up to twenty days, I explained that this was unacceptable and that I would have to return to WIX and use Paypal as a payment gateway...
Yesterday I got an email; saying my problem had been escalated, I didn't know that until today when I contacted customer support asking for a refund of the $14.
This is where I met Gregory Bourke who found great amusement in the fact that $14 meant so much to us and I could do nothing anything about it, (It's 10 Meals or a 25kg Bag of food for our dogs)... I then explained that I had returned to Wix built a new website (2 sleepless nights) and to not bother...
My wife had an appointment with the bank to show them the website and how we needed their help to implement a local payment gateway...
Gregory Bourke totally ignored my instructions, and what was supposed to take Shopify 20 days to implement, he managed to implement in a couple of hours.
Against my wishes and instructions. Thereby totally screwing up the appointment with the bank, as it was Shopify on our domain and not WIX and Omise, so she got laughed out of the bank...
When I complained about what he had done, he obviously took immense pleasure in sending me an email after email telling me I can't have my domain name back until October 9th, then other saying that I might never get it back, then another saying I would have to pay Shopify another charge if I did get it back... This needs to stop NOW...
Both my wife and I are already at a breaking point, and with this coming on the back of Facebook banning the Sales of Moringa is just too much...
Now our website is totally down, WIX has tried to fix it but is having unexpected issues...
So we now have no money no way of making any money and some Joker from your employment gloating at us...
