Somebody has uploaded a fake advertisement on your website by writing our NAME AND MOBILE NO. Consequently we are receiving hundreds of calls in a day. This is a serious offence and we want take a legal action on that person who has committed this offence . Firstly you just remove that advertisement form you website and secondly we need your assistance for tracking that person . kindly provide us the information that, from where this advertisement was uploaded and the email id or any other information regarding this which will helpful for us to submit our FIR in cyber crime cell Delhi. the ad posted in the given link has my number posted on it and due to which i have received several calls during midnight a similar ad was posted on quiker giving my phone number but i was able to remove it as it verified my number before posting unfortunately olx does not offer similar security and hence my number was misused which has has given me a bitter expiernce of the website

http://chennai.olx.in/brand-new-sony-xperia-z2-16gb-iid[protected]. you can see the add that 10000rs for the mobile xperia z2 . the seller informed me to pay 12000 rs he said that shipping costs and other duties not excluded in that rate . after all this he is still chatting with me . he / she inviting to pay more amount to get the product. or will lose 12000rs. this is a fake advertisement . i paid 12000 rs and lost my money. this seller cheated me . i paid 6000rs twice to get this product. this seller told me to pay 50% amount before shipment and 50% of the amount after material out from the store . i deposited 6000rs in icicibank and in SBI second time according to his information. and he communicated in whats app . now i think his name, his photo and all other information were fake. his whats app number is starting with +234 [protected] which indicates Nigeria. first i transferred money to icicibank branch is delhi. second time he gave an SBI account delhi branch, but i was not able to transfer because not matching IFSC code with branch name again he sent another SBI account manipur branch. after paying money he says that some problems regarding custom duties. and also told that he cant ship out 1 quantity and you should order minimum 3 quantities and i will get an extra 1 quantity for free. but l felt that iam cheated . i told him to refund money but he is not ready to refund . i lost my valuable money because of you people also . l searched in olx u can find 100s or 1000 of this types of add. you are the only person who responsible for this . you are giving opportunity to frauds in this whole world to cheat the customers. i don't know you are getting any commission from this. i have receipts of bank transaction . my mail id is [protected]@gmail.com

Hi Olx Team, My mobile phone number and name was misused my someone by placing ad with my mobile number on OLX. Due to this, I am facing a many unwanted calls during odd hour as well. I am facing many insult and reputation loss by the callers as they abuse over the phone when I say no such posts are added by me and not to call again. My mobile number is +91 - [protected]. Please remove the phone number with any relevant ad. Also, have some solid mechanism to identify the genuine OLX users by having some sign in, verification of phone number process before allowing anyone to add posts so that, people cannot misuse other's name and phone number on OLX. This is to report the very unpleasant dealings I have had with apparent con-men who call themselves 'MusicTech' and claim to be selling guitars and drum kits online through OLX. DO NOT TRUST them! OLX site: http://www.olx.in/userlistings/Music-Tech They claim to be MusicTech store in Kohima and they post classic guitars and drums for sale, yet each post is from a different part of India. When you enquire about that, they say the goods are with them. I should have been more cautious. The emails from them are almost always sent in the middle of the night (suggesting they are actually in a different time zone) and they almost never answer the phone (and then only when they are expecting to be able to make a demand for money). They didn't sign their email with a name until I insisted on it, and then I am not sure the names are genuine. I responded to an ad for a vintage 'Rogers' Drumset advertised at 56, 000 INR. I was also interested in a 'Tama' kit they'd advertised, and so after some emails to establish contact and ask some questions about their kits I sent them an email ordering one of the kits (the 'Rogers') and agreeing with them to terms of half payment in advance, half on delivery. After two days I received an email marked "URGENT URGENT !! Mispackage notice" . There was a long email explaining that one of the company's employees had mistakenly sent three drumkits in one shipment instead of just the one I'd ordered. The company was panicking because the shipment they'd sent was worth 2.5 Lakhs and so they requested me to pay the balance on my set as a guarantee for them that I would not make off with the drums once they arrived. I refused, saying that these were not our terms and that it was not my responsibility to cover their mistake. However they returned with yet another long, and this time extremely aggressive, email stating that they could not recall their shipment and that they needed to demand this payment and that I would certainly get the shipment the next day. Foolishly, I was pushed into agreeing to pay the balance on the kit and so sent another 25, 200 to the account details they'd given me. The drums didn't show up. Again my phone calls were not answered, nor my emails until this morning I received an email (again marked URGENT URGENT) telling me that they could not let the delivery come to me without a further assurance of Rs 28, 300. They were worried about some shipments of theirs in the past which had gone missing. They have my full payment for one drum kit, yet they are not prepared to deliver it and all their communication is to manipulate more money out of me rather than to engage in any kind of honest attempt to sort the problem out. I can only conclude that their business is not honest or legal. They are organised, yet dangerous. The courier company they use is called 'Nationwide Couriers and is based in the UK. It is impossible to contact the couriers by phone and the one email I had from them was uninformative. The courier helpline doesn't work. Their tracking site was not updated after 30th September. If they were legitimate traders, there would be nothing to stop them recalling their consignment and sorting out their problem at their end. At this point it is difficult to believe the drums even exist and their mode of doing business is so extremely manipulative, aggressive and unpleasant that I can no longer proceed with any sort of business with them. Therefore I am posting this as a warning to others and to discredit their bad business, and also, if possible, to get my money back! Please BE WARNED, and please help me get my refund.
