I had applied for a passport in month of March'08 at the Lucknow passport office. Though all the police investigations have been completed still the status of my passport shows police verification pending. I am in urgent need of passport as my company where i am employed requires it.

Everything like police verification is done on time but from the last
1months when i check the status on passport office official website
i.e http://passportstatus.nic.in/passmain.php?city=pat, i get the
message as " It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the
despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a
week's time". I don't understand when will this one week time come for
me.Please do something in this regard as i need passport urgently.

I will be thank full to you always for resolving my issue. Waiting for
the immediate response from the recipient.

My passport application form has entered passport office kolkata on 9th september 2009 with police verification completed..it was expected to be despatched by the end of october 2009...but due to utter negligence of the passport office I did not receive my passport till date..due to this delay I am having much problems in my academic prospects as i am not being able to enroll for certain exams which needs passport number for enrollment..

Hi, My name is Chiranjeevi A. I have applied for Passport on[protected], my Passport file No. is A359741. Police verification is completed and the status now is "Passport will be dispatched in a weeks time". Since 2 months there is no update of Passport status nor there is any information regarding this. On August 3rd I have E-mailed about this to the passport authority(rpo.[protected]@mea.gov.in) and still now there is no response from them. I urgently need the Passport and Iam not affordable to go to Hyderabad to know about the details. Since Hyderabad is far away from our place. Please let me know when I will get my Passport.

Sir, I had applied for a renewal of my passport through the Regional Passport Seva Kendra - Begumpet, Hyderabad on 14 Dec 2012. Its been over six months and the police verification is still not initiated. The online system also does not show my record. I had visited the passport office and they told me to submit the Personal Particulars Form so that police verification can be initiated again, which I did and still there has been no action as yet.

I am expected to travel coming month and I am not sure if I will get the passport in time. Would appreciate some support in this.

Sorry I had applied on 14 Dec 2011 and not 2012. Many people whom I know had applied after me they have already received their passports. This is what is frustrating about our Indian systems.

My file number is M012294 i submitted my passport for correction on 22 june 2009 and till now there is no call from police men and the answer from them is they didnt receive the file . The answer from the passport officer is that they sent the file for police verification . I am planing to go abroad by September intake but there is no response from them . In reference to the subject cited above I would like to mention that there is no supply of drinking water at my residence since fifteen days but inspite of repeated complaints ,it is very unfortunate to mention that no action has yet been taken to resume water supply, even nobody visited to see the problem from the concerned department. I studied in kochi for 5 years, and is now living and working in Bangalore for more than a year.

The issue is that, Since ive not resided in my Permanent residence fr the past one year, What kind of proof can i submit to as proof of residence..
And where can i apply from? Thrissur or Bangalore?
i contacted Superseva, but the reply i got was that, Its easier when applying from my home town.
If am applying from Bangalore, i need to produce Bank stmnts and oder proof, which i dont have.

Someone kindly advise me as to what needs to be done.

My daughter Syeda Ayesha Fatima's passport was submitted for renewal.whenever the file reference no: c007404 is entered, the information that is displayed is that "THE PASSPORT WILL BE DISPATCHED BY 25TH MAY 2009, SUBJECTED TO ALL PAPERS BEING IN ORDER".

But till now there has been no enquiry.there is no response whenever I dial the contact numbers given in the receipt.I would be greatly obliged if my daughters passport is delivered soon, without any further delay.

Please note that almost 3 months have been passed and status is still the same “Application is pending for want of Police Report”. I visited the concerned Police station and i've been told that they haven’t receive any application from your office. It’s been a long time, I’m still waiting for my passport.

Also, have tried to reach office telephone number and CPO number to check my status but nobody responded.

I applied for passport renewal on january 6 2010, (File no: W230172).Its been more than two months since i have applied for it, i even got the police clearance and yet i didnt receive my passport, i am a senior citizen and cannot even make a follow up by putting rounds to the passport office.Whenever i check my online status of the passport it showed "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time ". This message has been there since 20 days,i need to get my passport urgently and i hope the concerned authorities will look into the matter and despatch my passport as soon as possible.

My family applied for passport renewal on December 1st, 2009.

We we out of country for last 10 years and my family came from USA to India to attend my brother in law wedding and applied for passport renewal. That's it!!! My family stuck in India for 5 months without passport. And I have to come back because of this.

If you are not able to provide services, then update in passport website that you can not renew for Indian NRI's. Please do not play with our lives.

This is too rediculous that for passport renewal it takes more than 5 months those who are in overseas for past 10 years.

EVERY ONE: IF YOU ARE NRI, PLEASE DO THE NECESSARY AT OVERSEAS PASSPORT OFFICES. DO NOT COME AND APPLY FOR RENEWAL OR ANY ISSUES RELATED TO PASSPORTS AT HYDERABAD (THIS IS WHAT I EXPERIENCED).

AND FINALLY THE SERVICE IS WORST. THEY DO NOT UPDATE OR CONTACT THE REASON FOR DELAY. LOOKS LIKE THEY ENJOY PEOPLE TO SUFFER......

Respected Sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice that, when I was working with Modi Xerox Ltd, staying in Rampur, UP, I had applied for renewal of my Passport on 10th Dec 2004 vide file no. O 003663 at Bareilly Passpoort Office. Since then I have been sendig reminders to the concerned dept. no response have been received. Meanwhile I used to check the passport status it was showing "under Police verification" I had checked with the local Police authorities as as with LIU, on verification of their records they said that it has not reached them.

Meanwhile I have changed my job and shifted to Greater Noida, I have also registered a complaint through internet vide ref. no. Bly-386/2004. I have been sending letters to the Bareilly Office frequently in this reagard.

At last in the first week of Jan 2007, there was an inquiry from the polIce at my Rampur Office address. When I was informed about this by my colleague, I immediately I had a talk with the Police man and told him the present address where I am staying now, and simultaneously I sent mail to Bareilly Office also.
The police man also agreed to come for an enquiry in my present address.

Very sorry to say Sir, till the date nothing has happened. For your information the current status showing "objection" . I don't k now what kind of objection?

I would request your kindself to please look into the matter personally and do the needful.

Sir, I would like to know as to why my passport is taking so long for renewal. I had applied for a renewal of my old passport from GPO Mumbai on the 9th August, of which I got an appointment of 1030 hrs slot. My application number is BOM W102504 , I finished my Police Verification on the 25th of August itself at the Cuffe Parade police station. It is almost now 89 days since I applied. I recieved your letter today regarding the requirement of original birth certificate for passport file no.DLHZ04138109 DATED(11/11/09) GROUP-Z When I took admission in Ist standard in government school, I have dposited my original certificate. I was having only attested photostat copy.But I have deposited the photocopy of birth certificate personally to your head office(1/2/10) monday. Once again you are asking for the original birth certificate.
So, how can I give the original copy of certificate.Now I am studying in IX-th standard in govt. boys senior scondary school khichripur delhi 91.My student I.D no-[protected], d.o.b[protected] and admission no-5162 as per govt school record.
