Printing mistake in passport
Respected sir,

i received my passport just ten days back, but there is a printing mistake in my date of birth and the expiry date is not visible, actually the date of birth was supposed to be 27/06/1990 but 0 of 1990 is not printed n the year of expiry is not printed.What should i do...?

I have applied for my daughter passport in August 2007. Till time i haven't recieved the passport. Every Week i check the status on internet & it shows a message "Due to some unavoidable circumstances despatched of passport has been delayed, we will despatch with in one week time". From last 3 months site is displaying this message. Please help me on this

I had applied for a New passport on Feb-4-2008 from the Bangalore One Center and Post Police verification from the Furnished address, there was an Objection raised asking me to provide with the details of my previous addresses (As I was staying in the mentioned address for less than one year (11 months)). I submitted another set of PP forms along with the Address proof of my previous address to the Personal verification officer at the RPO-Bangalore on 10th March 2008.
The Online status of my application still keeps telling "Your Police Verification report has been received by us, and your file is in line for further processing."
This status is been the same since the last 2 months and I am wondering what is happening as it has been verified in my previous address itself on 11th April.

Don't know whom to contact.. noday is picking the phone also. and not even replied my mails.

Hi, I Vinay submitted my Passport renewal application (H008440) at Delhi office on 14th May 2008, I was told that I would get my passport in end of June, as police verification was waived and all documents were in order. I have been checking the status online since July .

I have applied for my passport on 20thaugust2008 from nehru place, delhi. my file number is Z-104306. after 50 days my status is still showing pending. i went to asaf ali road police bhawan and i verified from them about this. I was told that my file was sent to bhika ji cama on 4th of september2008. but my status is still showing police report pending. I would also like to draw your kind attension that after 40 days there was no status for all th people who had applied on 20th august, and evrytime when i met the PRO, she just said your file is still in nehru place or in asaf ali road. she denied even after seeing there refrence number of sending the file to bhikaji cama.I wrote a complain letter and fexed it and got the status but still it is showing pending. And everytime when i try to meet mr. mahalingam or mr. om dutt the guard dont let me enter to meet them. I just request him to just give my letter of complaint to some heigher authority person but he denied and asked me to give the letter again to PRO. i would like to ask if some one wants to take an action then to whome one can complaint. how can someone complaint against PRO to the PRO? I went to bhekaji cama for sevral times and i am getting no solution for my problem. please look into the matter and kindly suggest me what should i do if I want my passport eargently? I would also like to know that is there any particular time period for getting the passport or it can take as long as the passport office employees want?

My wife Smt Suvarna Lakshmi Jakkaraju has applied for a new passport at Bhopal vide application dated 04 Aug 2008 under application no. A[protected]. The passport was despatched on 03 Nov 2008 to our residential address (officers quarters of NABARD Bhopal). However, we were not in station during the time of delivery by the postal dept. and the passport was returned to the passport office undelivered. We approached the passport officer on 24 Nov 2008, who was kind enough to receive a request letter along with address proof and photograph of the applicant so as to enable them to send again the passport to my residence.

Sir, it is nearly a month from the date submission of our request and 4 months 20 days since submission of application. In spite of my reminding the bhopal office by e mail there is no response. Hence, the need to request you to help me obtain the passport in respect of my wife. Anticipating an early action from you.

While checking the status on internet the message is coming that My Father's name is different as per my attached document and asked for clarification.

I wish to inform you that the above difference in my father's name was due to only his Sir name "Sharma" which is not written in my certificates while filing the Passport form I have written the Sir name too, because in the passport form the Sir name was asked compulsorily there.

received the passport. i already went to India in month of July to bring my son but to my surprise i did not get the passport. even my wife has to cancel her ticket to London.
We had lost around Rs.70000/ .even now also we are losing lot more money for medical treatment of my son. if i bring my son to London i can save a lot money and can give him a better treatment without even costing a penny as the UK GOVERNMENT offers free treatment to every child until 16 years of age.
Sir i request you to kindly look in to this matter and help me as i am lossing plenty of money and all the time to be together with my son and wife.

I have applied for passport renewal on 12th May 2009. I was told that as per law, passport will be given within 60 days. But till date (31 Aug 2009), I do not have any idea about the passport.

Police verification was done exactly 1month after the application date. And within a week, police report was sent to RPO Hyderabad. When I tried checking the status online (passportstatus.nic.in), it kept showing the status as "Police report not yet received" even after one month from the verification.

Sometime end of July 2009, I checked the status and was excited to see that "passport will be dispatched on 6th Aug 2009".

Even on 20th aug 2009, the status was showing the same date. Then I tried calling all different phone nos mentioned on the site

Suddenly on 24th of Aug 2009, the passport status website shows the status as "Passport has been granted and is expected to dispatch on 28th". On 28th I again called up the PRO (Public Grievances) - delhi phone no. & asked the status. I was told that for any passport renewal, 2.5 to 3 months is a normal time which a person should wait. when I told them that as per RPO Hyderabad, its 45 to 60 days is the time period a passport should be issued, I got a reply saying its just to convincing the people.

Today is 31st Aug 2009 (111 days from date of application), but toll now i do not have any status on if I am ever going to get the passport.

I am not sure if this is a way to force you to go through agents & benefit them.

What is this, How much time it will take I also want to apply for my children. This much delay is such a ridiculous. We are planning to go US. I have applied for passport on 13/5/2009 and submitted all the doc requested form them. As address proof i have provided bank statement and letter from ICICI.At the time of police verification they said that they wouldn’t accept this as address proof and only rental agreement will do.

Now if this was the case why did they accepted my form in first place just to take my hard earned money or this is harassment on the part of police.

I have applied for Re-issue of my passport on 16th July 2009. It is very dissapointing that even after 2.5 months police verification is in pending state. I have checked my local police station if they have received request for police vrififcation, but their record does not have received the request yet.

Kasba Police station — Bribe asked for Passport verification

My brother had applied for a passport, verification for which had to be done through the Kasba police station. My brother was called there and they asked for a bribe of 1200 rupees and they said they will not clear it unless paid.

KG Halli police station in Bangalore. The station writer said he would ensure that I will not get my passport because I refused to pay a bribe. This was around three years ago. I am nervous of applying for a passport because of this. Can anyone help?

With you due respect I want inform you that I have applied for passport on 25th march 2011 through speed post from Rourkela HPO, vide letter number BHU-W[protected] and till now twice Police and CBI verification has been completed and report is clear. But yet I have not received passport. Since last 2 months the status is showing as
“It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the dispatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be dispatched in a week's time “
