Being an Indian, I had struggled like anything to get my passport application documents submitted. Story starts now. My name is Prakash Chandar Khakhal, My passport application status got updated on 24/03/2011 on Regional Passport website (file No. W263577) . As per the rules and regulation of Passport Office, police verification needs to be done within 15-20 days of submission of passport application. After waiting for a long time a policeman came for verification, he confirmed everything about my stay at the present address and also told my neighbors to ask me to call him up since I was not available at home. I visited 3 times Lingampally police station to get details about my passport verification status with no-luck. After some days somehow I got the contact number of the concern person who came for police verification. I requested him to come and verify my stay at my current address and he kept refusing saying he will come today, tomorrow and so. At last great person came to my house for police verification and started asking bogus and non-relevant documents such as all the mark sheets from 1st standard to 10th standard though I have submitted my 10th marks card, driving license of same region, nominee from 1st standard to 10th standard (that even he did not know what nominee is), letter from area police Inspector, company offer letter where I am working presently, salary slip of last one year in original, Bank account details and other nonsense documents. He ordered me that I need to show him all these documents as soon as possible and if I don’t have documents then I need to collect these documents and call him up on this number ([protected]) and his said name Mr. Rajjaq. I showed him the required documents as per the passport requirement and he did not agree with that.
So this is how Indian common people are being treated by Passport Officials. Shame on such people who treat us in such a way that we start suspecting on Government Officers.

At last I had to give an application by standing in a big queue to close my passport application on 1/7/2011 to get my passport application closed. Good advice from me that stop harassing people other we have to take legal way to reply you people.

I am awaiting for the reply on my issue in hope to get passport though I have given application to close my passport application.

I Mirza Ikramullah Baig, with Passport number : J2824174, Date of issue : 03/01/2011. I have applied for encr (ecr deletion), on 01/03/2011,with file no. HYDM00756911, but till now my passport has not been dispacted, when ever i go for enquiry at rpo office, they say u will get your passport soon but till now i didnt recieved it.its neary 4 months i have applied for it.I have mailed my grevience to rpo officer number of times but i didnt get any responce. Iam unemployed,seeking job at abroad,i need valid passport to attend interviews and to process for visa...please kindly take neccesary steps, so that i receive my passport soon.

I have submitted my passport at hyderabad at E-seva office miyapur on 7-4-2011 for police clearance certificate file no HYD-H[protected] and police verification was done on[protected].Its been almost 16 days but still always I have received online status as "police verification has not been received".
Hence request sir to kindly follow up for speedy work as i need to travel to dubai for an urgent work.

I had applied for renewal of passport on 13th Sept'09 and my file number is HYD00314609.The police enquiry was done in Oct'o9 and latter again in April '10.I have made countless visits to the passport office but to no avail, the passport has not yet come.I also attended the passport adalat on 13th October'10 wherein i was assured of receiving the passport within 10 days but the passport hasn't come. I have met the PRO many times. I request the authorities to look into the matter and renew my passport as soon as possible. Afterall it is a case of renewal only.

My sister Manjula Ponnala applied for passport on[protected] and police enquiry was over.But still the passport is not delivered.From past one month status is showing as will be delivered in one week.But still not delivered.Passport office customer care is not working.There is no place to know the status.

Myself Irshad Shaik,I have applied passport for including my Spouse name Sikindar Shaik, on 10-MAR-2011 Reference number HYD-W[protected] and it is almost more than 3 months I haven't received my passport so far, If we check the status on passport office website it is showing as “BLANK”.

As per my knowledge for including Spouse name will not take much more time and the passport shouldn't take more than 2 months.

But it is almost more than 3 months and still don't the Status, I need passport very urgently because my Spouse is in Abroad, So I need to join with him due to my job pressure I can't visit her. Please do the needful for dispatching the passport as soon as possible to get the visa for my baby.

Myself Mohammed Abdul Raheem applied for a passport for my minor Child. I have applied on 14th Feb at E-SEVA center, while application submission, all the required documents were submitted and verified by E-SEVA employee, Submission process get completed and Then within a month police enquiry was conducted, in which police officer found that Annexure G was missing in which parents should sign for minor child, and we have completed that process too. Police enquiry get cleared and the application move further for processing. Now after 4 months, passport office online status is reflecting as below.

"DECLARATION OF MINOR IN APPLICATION WAS NOT SIGNED. PL SEND THE ENCLOSED 'N' DECLARATION DULY SIGNED BY BOTH PARENTS."

How come the E-SEVA people accepted our application without this declaration and how the police enquiry get cleared without this. Irresponsible behaviour and lazyness of passport officials come to picture here. No officer at passport office is accountable for his act. Civilians are badly impacted and emotionally hurt with this. I have applied a family visa in Saudi arabia and on the basis of Birth certificate of my child, visa is issued, and it is going to expire in a month. Still passport officials does not issue the passport for my minor child.

I have submitted my passport application form on 19th April 2011 @ 13.28 hrs, File no. A040858 Group A Howrah.

Till now status showing as Police Report has not been received.

Please help out how to get the matter resolved and get my passport in hand as I will be requiring the same to go out of country on personal trip within next 1 month.

Myself Rama Mohan Rao Katta and I have applied passport for my daughter, Pavitra Katta on 03-DEC-2010 Reference number HYD-W[protected] and it is almost more than 7 months I haven't received my daughter passport so far, If we check the status on passport office website it is showing as “It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the dispatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be dispatched in a week's time”.

Last week the status was changed “Police verification is completed Passport will dispatched by 27-MAY-2011” but again the status is changed back to old one.

According to my knowledge for New Born/Infants no need of any police enquiry, and the passport shouldn't take more than 2 months. But it is almost more than 7 months,

I need passport very urgently because my daughter is sick from last one month, due to my job pressure I can't visit her. It is a difficult time for any parent when baby gets sick and parents are not there to take care of her.
Please do the needful for dispatching the passport as soon as possible to get the visa for my baby.

This is to let you know that , on Jan 31st 2011 I have submitted my passport application at the SR Nagar eseva branch and received the receipt . Its been like 4 and half months now , police verification has not taken place and when I went to the the police station opposite to the Prasad I max where all the application go to there they told me that passport office has not sent my application to them for verification . when I went back to the eseva and inquired the same they are telling to go and check with the police and its not their job . Consider this as an official complaint as even after 4 months its pity to know that my file has not moved a bit , I am doing my passport renewal , What would be the plight with New applicants ?

Dear Sir,

I write with great grievance that my passport application for an additional booklet has taken more than 7 months to process. My application number is R[protected]. I had applied on[protected] and my police verification was also done in december 2010, but it has taken more than 6 months to despatch the additional booklet. Re-issue of my passport is taking more than 3 months. I have written multiple times to the mail id provided in the passport site, but there is no use.
Irrespective of submitting all the verification reports the status is still showing as "Police Report has not been received".
I am holding a valid US visa and I am suppose to travel to US as early as possible, but it is getting delayed due this reason.
Please look into this issue and do the needful.

I G Raghavender Reddy s/o G Jaipal Reddy has applied for passport in the month of january in the General post office at Abids Hyderabad. The person authorised sitting there has checked all the details and said that the documents and everything were fine and issued the application of system generated number as hydw250130. After 45 days I have been called by a pass port officer to sign the documents and submit the Nativity certificate and I have submitted all that and every thing was done. Now it is after 100 days for more than 3 months it is showing as even the police report is not received till now. I do not know why the delay is and it so embarassing that the complaint has not been received. The person who has conducted the inquiry was Pandya Naik. The police station under which i fall is Addakula(mandal). Please make sure that the thing is done as soon as possible.

I ,Srinivas Thummanapalli, have applied for ECNR check on my passport and the application date is[protected], It has been 4 months and my passport is still with Hyderabad passport office. When I check the status online, it says ‘police report has not been received’ . I have been to your office on 24th May and met PRO. He wanted me submit an application for police enquiry. I filled application and gave it in the dairy section. The person in dairy section who took my application told me that my application will be sent to Karimnagar SP office with in 2 to 3 days. It has been 1 week but the application has still not been received by Karimnagar SP office. Could you please look into this matter and have my application sent to Karimanagr SP office and provide me with reference number, so that I can follow up with Karimnagar SP office. I tried all possible ways to contact your passport office but could not reach any one.

I work for a IT company. I hold a valid US visa on my passport and I need to travel to US for some official purpose urgently. If I fail to travel I may loose my job. Please make arrangements to send my passport back to me as soon as possible.

I applied for a passport under normal scheme in hyderabad. After reading about the passport office drama, i did not dare to go there & applied through e seva. But iam confused now! I've a temporary residence here & permanent address in kolkata. I've been staying here on rent for more than a year. I told the same to the e seva lady. She said i need to submit proof only for the local address & not the permanent. I ultimately did that as she was not accepting the permanent address proof. My question is: Is she right? She was so rude & kept me waiting for long even in e seva alwal.guys please advice me. Is the passport verification done at temporary or permanent address?
