Hi Rak ceramics, This is vamsi krishna from visakhapatnam, Andhrapradesh. We are residing in utkarsha abodes, bakkannapalem, madhurwada, visakhapatnam which is having 85 flats all together. It has been 2 years your products has been installed. From last few months we are facing leakage issue in our comodes frequently. We about to reach your service person, but no one responding and doing service. I hope your product have good demand in market, but providing this type of service leads to bad name. Please take this as a note and assign good team to resolve the issue as soon as possible. This issue make our 85 flats residents to face water issues because of water drain in overhead tanks daily. Western commodes are leaking and causing draining water aproblem in Utkarsha apartment

Hi I'm Goutham from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. We are residing in Utkarsha Abodes with 85 flats. Our washrooms are fitted with your RAK western comode along with flush tanks. It has been 2 years since the installation of the units and the flush tanks started leaking in almost all the flats. This is leading to huge loss of water leakage and overhead tanks are getting emptied. Your service executive has visited the premises and repair ed in some flats, but the problem is back within a week. Kindly address this problem at the earliest.

Facing water leakage issues from commodes. all the families around 85 flats are facing same issues. your team attending In regular intervals.but root Couse not identified.please kindly send some expertise team and find out solution for the same.

We have bought all our sanitary wares and ceramic etc., from a local well known dealer named ABC Sales Corporation Kannur Branch, Kerala, S.T.C Tower Thana, NH Kannur-670012, Phone:-[protected]/[protected]/[protected]. And as per their sales executive’s (Mr.Rathish-[protected] ) suggestion even though it is little expensive we bought RAK Ceramic products for our bathrooms. He told us it is an Indian Brand and one of the best selling products in India. ABC Corporation Bill No.KNR/B4718 Dt.[protected]. Email : [protected]@gmail.com, during year 2013.
When asked about the warranty he has confirmed that all products are under 10 year warranty and for any manufacturing defects it is lifetime. There is a specific reason as due to my past experience I have asked and got clarified this. Till recently it was shown in the website of RAK it is mentioned it is under TEN YEAR WARRANRY, which seems they have removed it recently, may be due to number of complaints increased recently. (Please refer their website itself). Unfortunately, within a year one of the washbasin developed first minor color fading developing to hair line cracks and later big cracks. Immediately we have approached the supplier (ABC Corporation). When approached the customer care team and the sales executive has immediately confirmed that “as per the manufacturer one lot of material supplied by them have manufacturing defects and can be replaced”, and hence the supplier immediately replaced the product. We have asked about the balance products? The reply was if there is any defect will be replaced. We have told them to replace all as the manufacturer already informed them about the defect lot. In their internal discussion it is understood that they have already received a lot of complaints and replaced. Again within a few months another washbasin developed similar complaint and we have approached the supplier. Very reluctantly they have registered the complaint. After about four to six months follow ups with the supplier RAK”s representative’s (RAK COCHIN CONTACT 0091-[protected], Email :Sonia.[protected]@rakceramics.com) visit us. we have received the replacement. As you may be aware in our place a plumber to remove and replace charges about Rs.2500/- and transportation about Rs.250/ for transporting the damaged product to their ware house and Rs.250/ for bringing the replaced product. Each time we have to spend Rs.3000/- for such cases. Two years back again the third washbasin had the same fate. Immediate we have informed the supplier and as there was no action after repeated follow ups with the supplier, we have collected the RAK Regional office details (cochin)and contacted them. Till date the item was not received. It is come to know from the RAK that they have already issued the credit note to ABC Corporation, the local supplier. When contacted it is understood that ABC has sold the product without replacing our damaged product against which they have received the credit note from RAK, the manufacturer.
Now again two of western closets with flush tank has developed cracks all over the product and slowly the cracks are increasing. As usual we have informed the supplier ABC and ABC refused to register our complaint as they say RAK the manufacture is not entertaining new complaints for sales made for more than five years (which is against warranty clause) and advised us to contact their regional office. After sending mails and lot of calls finally the in charge agreed to send a technician to assess the product. After two months he has visited us (that also lot of follow up with him). As he was the same person visited us earlier also he himself was suggesting that RAK would have replaced all products long back as these are defective products. As there was no action from RAK for about one month, We have approached the RAK regional office and they have informed us that they will write to their Head Office for approval to replace these products. Simultaneously we sent a mail to RAK HO through their website. We received a communication that a complaint is registered and their representative will contact us. As there was no response from the supplier or the regional office we have reached them again by phone and the lady in charge has said that there is no need of visit again the claim is declined as it is more than five years.
Our question is if the manufacturer is aware that a lot of material supplied is defective why they have-not withdrawn all of them from the market or replace them?
We have noticed even cars and equipments worth Lakhs of rupees are called back and replaced for manufacturing defects they why a ceramic company?
Legally they are liable to pay all losses incurred by us for plumber’s service charges and transportation charges and compensation for all the losses incurred by us.
The material is still under warranty of within Ten years. To ensure this we have checked with other two / three ceramic product sellers locally and all of them confirmed that ceramic products are under warranty from manufacturer for TEN YEARS.
Due to curiosity when we have done some research it is understood that this is not an Indian company, and against this company have many number of complaints. And the 95%of the complaints are not attended and resolved? Then why such companies are allowed to operate in India as we have many Indian made Products available that also at premium price. The contact numbers and names given in their website are not correct, which itself shows the manufacturer’s intention to cheat the customers. (PLEASE REFER THE ATTACHED WEBSITE DETAILS).Their toll free number is also showing wrong when called.
It seems the local supplier (ABC) is also in hand in glove with RAK to cheat the customer as even though they have received the credit note they have not replaced our wash basin for last one year.
We therefore request your office’s intervention to get refund of our money spend for the product and service, OR replace the damaged products with service and transportation charges.

I'm a resident in Utkarsha Adobes appartment madhurwada visakhapatnam we hv 84 flats and all 84 has been fixed with RAK western commode. We are facing lot of issues since the day one with this commodes lot of water leakage in commode water tank in all 84 flats because of which we are facing water scarcity, it's been told that it has 5 years of warrenty however not even once they responded properly not even once someone has been sent for a check. Everyday we calling customer care raising complaint no one is coming in because of which water is getting wasted big which is serious issue.

Flush not working

I'm Anwar hussain from Payyanur, kerala.Your product are European Closet and wash base will be purchased from ABC payyanur.after later days both of product are cracked.i had complained to 3 and five time.
A few days later a statt came and took the photo and left.No reply has been received since then. Your product is bad and worst.

This is to inform you that I have bought 4 sets of WC of RAK Model

LIWA ivory - 2 each
Liwa White - 2 each

with all fittings and tanks from Modern Sanitary, Thrissur, Kerala in the year 2013.

Although I bought them in the year 2013 they were fitted only in the year 2014 because of my house construction delays.

When I unpacked them to fit I found following items had cracks developed all over them:

1 WC and
2 Tanks with tops

This was brought to your sales team and they admitted that the LOT your company produced in the year 2013 had manufacturing defects hence will be replaced. Since all of them were from the same Lot I asked them to replace all of them before I fit them. They replaced only the above and told me that others will also be replaced if any of them develop cracks as and when I inform them.

Since last January. 2020, I am following up with Modern Sanitary and your sales team K.A Nawas for replacing following items as they had developed hairline cracks all over them:

4 WC (2 Ivory and 2 white)
3 Tanks tops ( 2 Ivory and 1 white)

The replacement given by your dealer, Modern in the year 2014 have also been developed cracks which means that the replaced items were also from the defective LOT or defective items.

As you know such items are bought only once in a lifetime and the durability of it lasts to generations. These are totally defective hence creaks developed on them.

Past 9 months I am running piller to post to get them replaced but none of your staff or even the dealer is ready to replace them.

At the time of purchase Modern staff convinced me that your brand is the best in the market and known for quality and reliability. Because of this only I bought such an expensive product. But to my surprise the quality of the product sold to me found substandard. More over no one seems to be responsible to replace them and not entertain the customer complaints

You are requested to immediately look into this matter and instruct your staff to replace these at the earliest.

I had purchased rak ceramic products for mu new home in year 2014, house warming was completed year 2015, after an year we noticed some of the toilet bowl and washbasins are seeing cracked and we informed the shop where we purchased the products (Abc thaliparamba) and they have send the guys to inspect the cracked bowl and washbasin, later on they confirmed that there was a quality issue during the production of these batch so they replaced the products accordingly.
We are not staying in new home for long because we are staying in aboard with my family - (Resident in uae) so only once in a year for one month i use to stay in my home, till last year we where getting replacement for the damage one and we are replacing the bowl and wash basins in our cost and now this year again we found 2 toilt bowl and one wash basin has cracked and we approach the agency, however they replied that they cannot support any more. So considering with less usage kindly request you to support to replace the damage one.

We have bought rak closet a month ago, water flowing in tank is not proper in new closet. Eventhough the water from the pipe is smooth but filling of water in closet is not proper.

I faced total discomfort with your product And I was disappointed with your product. Feeling that why I bought this product.

Sir my name is rajesh i am from kerala i have purchase rak tiles form your dealer george kaitharn after fixing the tiles see some bend in tiles edge and easily scratched the tiles most of the tiles are bend please solve my problems

I am melvin koshy, working for isro, trivandrum. I had purchased rak commodes and washbasin for my home in trivandrum, kerala in june 2015. Less than five years, i have seen that all the commodes have developed crack and i also one of the wash basins have also developed large visible cracks. I am thoroughly disappointed with the quality of rak ceramics. My contractor said that there must have been problem with that batch of products. I bought the rak fittings from authoised rak dealer in trivandrum. But, now i am on the receiving end of things. I lodged a complaint for second time after which a service person contacted me and visited my home, inspected the damaged sanitary wares, took photographs. He called some other rak representative and explained the situation. The service person who inspected the sanitary wares accepted that rak wares manufactured during a certain period time suffered this defect which caused it to crack gradually. There is not a forthcoming response for replacement of wares so far. I request you to understand the situation and do the needful.

I had purchased two sets of wash basins of RAK on 08.04.2013. Now one of them is found cracked very badly. If you can do any thing in this regard please furnish a solution. If any chance to get it replaced/repaired please do the same. I am afraid that the basin may fall down at any time.

I had purchased two sets of wash basins of rak on 08.04.2013, from calicut, kerala. Now one of them got cracked very badly and i afraid that the same may fall down. I came to know from the dealer that there is a warranty of 10 years. If so, kindly do the needful to get it replaced or repaired.

I have brought two karla washbasins 15inch and 24inch (Half pedestal) and two colsets karla range in 2013 and i see lot of cracks got developed suddenly and i am attaching the photos. Its a defect as we got checked with plumber and all the washbasin and closet is about to break. Kindly inspect and replace the items

Plumper tight the water inlet but water tank fitting were damaged

Hi, my name is tom,
I am writing to inform you that my customer complaint has still not been answered/solved. We bought 4 toilets and flushtanks, and since i have bought them from madonna in kottayam with a 10year guarantee and after installing each one, they have cracked and have continuously been leaking. Our water tank is constantly dry because the leaking is resulting in our bathroom floors being completely wet. We have complained too many times, but we have not received any help from rak. We also sent emails and letters regarding the issue to one of your representatives and manager in india (Sonia haris). They had promised me the issue would resolve back in december 2019 but still, we have not received anything. We will abroad and so we can only come to india once a year, although my mum is there. We regret saying this but, rak is a reputed company that has not provided us with the adequate customer service and replacement that we require. Please reply and contact us so that you can do the required.

From our home all bathroom closets from rak. Recently we found two flush tanks having cracks. One already water flowing out from the tank and the other one is just coming out water as drops. We need to replace it. Already we replaced one with our cost. Our plumber said that it will not replace as free. But from your dealer we know that we can make a complaint. So i am doing here

What kind of service is this from rak ceramics.
My account ajanta marbles was debited with rs. 300000/- on the 13th of jan. 2020 against order of tiles.
The total billing was around 4.5 to 5 lakhs.
Firstly i was informed that the material will reach in another 7 to 8 days only then i will have to transfer the remaining amount of 2 lakhs.
After few days i was informed that the material will be dispatched only when the entire amount is transferred.
I then cancelled the order and asked for the refund of the amount.
I was again informed that the amount will be refunded within 3 to 4 working days.
Its been almost a month since i have been harassed by the company people but no action has been taken.
I even called the manager at rak ceramics mr. Ashish nanda who kept on refusing to take my calls and even if he did so there was only one reply “sir i will call you in 10 minutes”
Even after so many comments in social networking sites there has been no response.
Is this the way these guys work being in a corporate world.
Strict action should be taken.
